If you want honesty and integrity, this is the place you will get it. Jeff was very up front about the problem with my lawnmower and explained it so I was able to understand my options. He was willing to stay after hours in order for me to be able to haul my lawnmower in. I highly recommend.

Estimates the best to worst outcomes and prices.Then its up to you where it goes from there.His prices are great. His repairs are even better. That is why he is still here.I will continue to support Pops Shop in Idaho Falls. Lord knows weve lost far too many fine businesses in the past 20 years.PS. Had a great experience at Pops. I spent a couple hours replacing my auger belt on my Troy Bilt Snowblower I bought at Lowes 15 years ago. When I got finished it didnt fix my problem, I needed a new transmission for the auger portion. I knew the part was expensive and timely.Thats when I went in to Pops to save time and frustration. They had the part in stock, I got it fixed same day, and got help loading and unloading my snowblower. Thought I had experienced great customer service. Make sure to have cash or checkbook. I will refer family and friends for similar work in the future.

My lawn mower was blowing thick white smoke. I had had it serviced by another facility. They wouldn’t take the time to answer my questions. Pops took a good 5 minutes of their time to give me pointers over the phone and answered my questions. They helped me fix my lawn mower problems without having to take the time to bring it in. I am very impressed and will use Pops in the future for my small engine needs.

Excellent service. Snow blower runs like a champ now. Aside from that, battery in my truck died in front of his shop. He was gracious enough to turn his truck around and give me a jump. When that didnt work he let me borrow tools to replace it.

Boy does my yeard look good thanks to this guy! Professional, generous, and punctual. I bought a used mower here super cheap was told it would be a week to have it ready, in exactly a week he had it ready and with a full tank of ethanol free gas none the less. My snowblower wouldnt stay running at full speed and just die. When engaging the augers it would die. It was checked out, and it needed a new carburetor and fuel line. It was replaced in a reasonable time. And it was done at an affordable price.

A small nut and screw part broke off of my lawn mower. I went to pops to see about buying a new part. He went out to his used mowers and pulled off the part. Handed it to me for no charge. Ill be doing my mower and small engine business at Pops every time now.

A++ Small (engine) Business, Do all your small engine repair with Pops Small Engine Repair!Jeff is a really helpful guy and a pleasure to work with. He can diagnose things over the phone, and give you the knowledge to DIY the task, if needed. He can give accurate quotes, and fair prices. Jeff has lots of parts sitting around and can perform repairs faster than many other shops. He also has a lot of those old, hard to come by parts.I am sad that Jeff moved his business to Idaho, but am glad that his daughter, Emily, is doing great work in the Puget Sound and living up to the high family standards. I am also glad to see Jeff start repairing equipment in a new area.I have yet to find (and never will because Ive chosen my Pops Small Engine Repair in Idaho and Greenlight Lawnmower Repair in the Puget Sound) any shop that could beat the Drawdy family in knowledge, speed, fair pricing, and excellent customer service.The Drawdy family gets about 98% of my business, the 2% that they dont get is when I feel the need for new, OEM, Stihl parts. most Stihl parts can be obtained through the Drawdy family either NOS or used, or aftermarket if needed. The only reason I use OEM parts for that 2% is that the aftermarket Stihl colors arent 100% accurate and look a little strange next to the correct colors. (Stihl regulates the color so aftermarket cant match it...)

Jeff is a super awesome guy. Always answers the phone and willing to repair your machine. We had him fix our snowblower as a cable had broke making it impossible to switch the direction of the snow shoot. He ordered a new cable and replaced it but for some darn reason the darn thing kept on getting tangled in the rotation gear box which requires tearing the darn thing conpletely apart. He fixed it two additional times for free and mentioned that if it didnt look like he could get it to stop doing that he could switch it to a manual lever to remove the snow shoot. He fit our repair in quickly each time and did end up making it a manual. He was also very kind and offered us a partial refund which we declined as he works hard and knows his stuff and we were just happy to have it fixed instead if spending $1k on replacement. Thanks Jeff!

I dont think Ive ever gone in there when he hasnt had the part I needed. Whether its for my riding mower, push mower or snow blower, he always has it in stock so I dont have to wait for it to get shipped and usually cheaper than I can find it on online. I dont even bother looking any where else before going to pops Pops first.

Every place we called was 2-4 week wait, plus needed to order parts, but Jeff was able to get it done ASAP and had the parts we needed. This. This is the place. Honest, fair, knowledgeable... all the things youre looking for. IF you need small engine work - look no further. Pops helped me out with an old snow blower I got from my dad. He gave me an honest evaluation of the machine, ordered the parts I needed, fixed it up reasonably, and didnt charge me for installing a part that was literally only two bolts to put on. (I wouldnt have known how easy it was if he hadnt told me). Most of all, he made just the right amount of fun of me for not knowing how to work the machine. Come here.

Lawn mower wasnt working right and had a very difficult time starting. Took it in and was told 3-4 days. Two days later, got a call that it was done. My 9 year old daughter got it started on her 2nd attempt pulling the cord. I had my 3 year old boy with me when I dropped it off. The guy (cant remember his name) had a box of little hot wheels cars still in the packaging and let my son choose one. Made my sons day! Top notch service and professionalism! Will definitely recommend!

WOW! I am so impressed with Pops, and Jeff ( the owner )!KNOWLEDGEABLE * HONEST * FAIR * INTEGRITYAfter a not so good experience at a different shop, I took my mower over to Jeff at Pops. He took the time to educated me on what was wrong and what was right with the mower and gave me a more that reasonable quote and a 3 day time frame. He called me the next day and told me the new coil was the wrong one but he put a used one in it and it was running great. I never would have known the difference.HE KNOWS HIS STUFF. He under promised and over delivered, AND at a fraction of the price as the other place.I WONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
