    My wife and I badly needed a bathroom renovation and after reading IHS reviews decided to give Richard a call. We’re very happy we did . The work was done with care and concentration to detail . Hanna and Richard were always available when we had questions. A day doesn’t go by when I tell my wife how much I love our newly renovated bathroom. When we have another project that needs to be done we intend on contacting IHS again.

    We were looking for someone to build out our basement, to increase the living space in our home. We found IHS Building and Remodeling through a yelp search. Richard responded to our inquiry in less than 24 hours. We provided some details on our basement build out and shortly thereafter set up an appt, for Richard to see the space. He understood our design concepts, was detailed in measuring the space, ensuring that our design would work, and he provided some slight modifications to the design, that we really loved. He was very personable, professional and we knew he was the builder for us!Richard took our design concepts and exceeded our expectations. We put our trust in Richard and his team. Richard was easy to work with, open to some of our minor changes, and was a pleasure work with. He was easy to get in touch with and always returned calls and emails in a timely manner. His crew was always on time and they met the project deadlines! We absolutely love our basement, it’s everything we wanted. Thank you, Richard for making this happen! We highly recommend HIS Building and Remodeling.PS. We hired Richard for a chimney project and are in the process of having him build out a walk-in closet.

    Richard and his team are exceptional! His professionalism and skills are estimable. However, what sets Richard apart is that when he works on your home, he demonstrates repeatedly that he considers your home as his own. Your finished product will look like what he would create in his own space. No detail, however small, escapes his laser like focus. Furthermore, he makes himself available to you for any concerns/questions that you might have regarding your project.Hanna, his right hand and office manager, keeps in touch letting you know what is happening on any given day. They are an effective team. I highly recommend his company without reservation. He is the best!

    Richard is extremely knowledgeable and a master at designing and installing even the most challenging of jobs. He reworked the entryway to our garage and steps to our mudroom to make them safe and attractive. Hannah handles the admin side very efficiently. They make a great team for all your reno needs!

    Working with Hanna and Richard on our home’s major renovation project proved to be one of the best decisions that we have ever made.Prior to beginning the project, Hanna and Richard met with us to discuss our vision for the home. They really listened to us and created an incredible kitchen design. Their design solved a doorway space issue and created a window over the sink, a feature we really wanted but thought wouldn’t work. They were able to meet both our wants and needs.As with many projects there are sometimes unexpected issues. Richard explained the issues honestly and respectfully. He presented viable solutions noting the cost and long term vs short term benefits. One particular issue concerned the humidity in our basement. By following their advice, the humidity level has successfully decreased.Richard’s attention to detail is exceptional. Each part of the project was handled with care, even the smallest part carried importance to him. It is clear in how he proceeded through the project and in the finished product that Richard holds tremendous integrity in his craft.We were not always able to be at the house but Richard and Hanna made it so easy to connect. They consistently kept us updated on the progress through calls, texts, emails, and were always willing to meet with us whenever we were in Hyannis.Hanna and Richard work as a team and we would like to highlight Hanna’s position in the team. Hanna’s exemplary organizational skills and knowledge of each part of the project allowed her to keep track of the inventory delivery, manage work schedules, and listen to our questions with kindness and attention. She always understood our concerns with empathy.We highly recommend IHS Building and Remodeling for all projects in which attention to detail, craftsmanship, creativity, and integrity are necessities. We know Richard and Hanna’s future clients will be as proud and excited to show off their projects as we are. In a few years, we know that we will need to renovate the garage. We have a builder that we can trust and will certainly turn to IHS Building and Remodeling again.

    Do you have a contractor who doesn’t call you back? Makes an appointment and doesn’t show up? Shows up hours late and stays for a short time? If you do, or even if you don’t, you need to consider using my contractor, Richard, owner of IHS Construction. The work is simply amazing. Richard has a large group of workers that he utilizes for different jobs. I have had an exterior wall removed and replaced with a sliding glass door and window, new flooring, large picture hangings, reinstallation of a gas heating stove, plumbing, siding, indoor and outdoor painting. There’s probably more but I can’t remember. I’d trust Richard and his crews 1000%. They are a great group of workers and really nice people. Richard couldn’t be nicer and he and his crews do incredibly meticulous work. I have more things I need to do in my home and Richard is my call guy. I don’t worry for a second about his integrity, his honesty, or the work his quality of the work he does. Yes Richard is the main contractor and he also works in the home. Highly skilled, highly knowledgeable, and one of the best people on the planet that you’ll ever want to meet. Obviously I can’t say enough. The office is run by Hanna. She is fantastic too.
