    Great communication and coordination with me and the company I used for beach stairs and dune restoration. Most importantly, I have seen a lot of jobs with small rocks. Lake MI is going to do whatever it wants but when it comes to boulders at the bottom of your bluff size matters and DK delivers the big ones! Highly recommend.

    DK Construction installed a boat lift for me. Crew was pleasant to work with and did outstanding work. I changed the scope of the project twice and DK employees were flexible and helpful. They also helped me obtain the proper permits.

    DK installed a retaining wall for us. It was a challenging situation; because of the slope, some other providers didn’t want to tackle the job. DK proposed a creative solution and did an outstanding job. They communicated well with us throughout the process and during the work itself.And when the job was done, they reseeded the area to fix up any damage from the equipment (treads from the excavator tore up grass). In fact, when a big rainstorm washed away the grass seed and topsoil, they came back again (at no cost to us) to make sure it was done right.I will happily recommend Steve King and the crew at DK to friends. And I recommend the you consider them for your needs as well.

    We used DK to build a new seawall and new dock to deal with high water on Lake Mac. They are great to work with and go out of their way to make the customer happy. Steve and his crews have been been doing this for a long time, are highly knowledgeable and professional, and committed to doing it right. Highly recommend!

    Thank you Steve and the team at DK Construction for removing the jetties from our shoreline! Steve and his crew showed up within the window of calm days promised to complete the project. They followed through to make sure the area was safe and free from the pilings to the best of there ability. With older jetties it really takes the extra effort to do this and DK followed through to complete the job...thank you for going the extra mile.Thank you for making this a great spot for our family to utilize the shoreline safely! Highly recommend their service if you are looking for a project along the lakeshore.

    Weve used DK Construction a half dozen times over the past 8 years to construct and maintain a large sheet steel piling seawall/armor stone revetment on Lake Michigan. Steve and his team are true professionals, very experienced and skilled in marine construction. Easy to work with, they partner with us to dial in in each project, work to scope and deliver first class results on time/budget. In a world of sometimes wanna be’ marine contractors, they are the A Team. Only area for improvement: more pro-active communication.

    Steve, His Crew, and Subs where very professional and personable. We needed help finishing a seawall and yard project that was started by another crew who could not deliver everything we needed. D.K. did what they said theyd do all on a reasonable timeline. Steves people did more work in four hours than another did in weeks. They also did a great job picking up after themselves.

In fact, he frequently told me that, as customer, my satisfaction with the job was the primary concern. I would recommend working with them to anyone.I also felt that the workmen were perfectionists just like me. Every aspect of the construction and final product was handled with an eye towards superiority. When the workers completed the job, they left not one bit of mess behind - not even a stray piece of paper.My new dock is exactly what I wanted: solid, safely constructed and beautiful.

    We started a shoreline protection project for four private properties on Lake Michigan this summer with a contractor who turned out to be unable to do the job. We hired DK to complete the project... Steve and company were absolutely outstanding. Great project management, cost control, and communications on issues. They even worked with our prior contractor to retrieve stranded materials. The onsite crew, led by Don, was courteous, knowledgeable, left the site ordered and clean every day, and worked hard all day in difficult conditions. Now completed, we are relieved to have high quality protection as fall storms arrive.
