    Gretna Plumbing was just here at our business and did a fantastic job on our main sewer line. They pumped out a bunch of mud, rocks, and debris. They really went over and beyond. Plus they were super friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them for your business or home.

    I was disappointed with my experience with Gretna Plumbing. The job was originally estimated at 2-3 days, but when I scheduled it and paid my deposit, I was told they could get it done in 1 day. I was then contacted about rescheduling due to the necessary parts not being in yet. I questioned the 1 day install at that time, but was again guaranteed that the job would be complete in 1 day. The crew came out to start the job on the scheduled day and informed me it would take a second day. The crew came on the second day and told me it could take a 3rd day. The job did end up getting done in 2 days and I am happy with the end result.I expressed my concern and disappointment to the owner only to be told that he had told me different and that his schedulers just don’t know. The lack of clear communication was ridiculous.On a positive note, the techs were courteous and tried to be as accommodating as they could be. Very clean and polite.Update - the owner did call about my 1 star review and expressed his concern and discussed what they could do better. He clearly care about his business and customers.

    We had a dual sump pump installed, replacing the builder grade pump, and they did a fantastic job. We plan on asking them to do more plumbing work in the next month or so. I highly recommend them.

    Gretna Plumbing & Drain Company is awesome in every facet of their company! They do quality, honest work that you can afford. They showed us what was wrong with our drains & septic tank systems and corrected & fixed our problems!!! We are extremely satisfied. We trust them with any future plumbing needs that may happen.     Yesterday I came home and my backup sump pump alarm was going off. I called Gretna Plumbing and they showed up at my house within approximately 20mins and fixed the issue right away. They also made a couple other adjustments to prevent future issues. The tech advised the service was covered under warranty and no payment was required. Extremely happy for the quick service and follow through with warranty.

    Technician was nice and work done quickly and to my satisfaction. They made room for me in schedule and was prompt to serve me. Prices are a little high but customer service was great. Only gives 2% military discount. Discount should be higher for veterans because of sacrifices made.

    I cannot recommend Gretna Plumbing & Drain enough!! Darrin and Caleb were so knowledgable and friendly. They were early for appointments so we didn’t have to wait around. They explained everything in detail so we could understand what needed to be done and gave us options for the repair. We felt they were honest and didn’t try to sell us on unnecessary repairs. We appreciated how quickly they came out to repair things and how efficient they were. The office staff is quick to answer calls and very good at communicating. If you’re unsure of which company to use, definitely go with Gretna Plumbing! And request Darrin and Caleb! They were fantastic!!

    There were some initial errors/problems after install that were discovered after follow up visits, but everything was under warranty and they were very responsive to fixing our issues and getting completely resolved.

    We noticed water dripping through the ceiling late Friday evening. We have a fairly new house (4 yrs old) so a leak in the ceiling was unexpected, to say the least. I called GP&DS and was immediately connected with a very helpful person who took the basic information and promised to pass it on to the emergency crew. I got a timely call back from John (the owner) who confirmed my decision to shut off the water and told me they would have someone there the next morning (Saturday) between 9-11am. He couldnt have been any nicer or more helpful.The technician (Chandler) was at our home at 9AM on the dot. He immediately went to work trying to identify the source of the water leak, but it wasnt immediately obvious. He tried a number of tests, but nothing showed up. He offered me the option of cutting a hole in the wallboard (ceiling) to see if we could track it down from below. I happily agreed. Chandler was very good about making sure I knew that this was a step they dont take unnecessarily, and that I could just opt to watch the situation for a few days to see what developed. Im an engineer, so I dont like the idea of mystery water, and I told him I would be more comfortable looking and ruling out everything we could see. He went right to work and cut a modest access hole, but unfortunately we could not see any water of any kind anywhere. I settled up with him and I could not have been happier with Chandler, John and Gretna Plumbing & Drain.I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone with any kind of plumbing need.Chandler also kindly offered me a suite of maintenance plans that they have for water heater and plumbing maintenance. I signed up for one this AM. After owning several houses and even more water heaters, I can testify that having an annual flush will absolutely extend the life of the appliance.[Follow-up note: I have been watching the area for 3 days and there is not a drop of water to be found anywhere, and no visible leaks. I guess I will have to add mystery water to my plumbing vocabulary :) ]UPDATE 10/2023: We FINALLY discovered that if the water is not turned COMPLETELY off, the dribble runs back onto the faucet, and then down through the hole in the counter. It steadily drips until/unless the tap is turned off. It took us a long time to find this, but I dont believe there was any way for Gretna Plumbing to have figured this out. Were still very happy :)

    We have used Gretna Plumbing and Drain for previous work (toilet installs, water softener, etc) and had great service. We had a plumbing issue on Christmas Eve. Derek responded within an hour from our call and had the issue fixed quickly. He explained everything that he was going to do and stayed around to make sure that the issue was resolved. Wed definitely recommend Derek and Gretna Plumbing and Drain for any plumbing needs and will use them in the future.

    Derek showed up early, explained what he was going to do. Started working and in just over an hour and a half completed the install. He explained what he did and showed me all the necessary functions of the new hot water heater and answered all my questions. Derek and his crew were very polite.     We had a pipe burst and flood our basement during this recent cold weather surge. I called Gretna Plumbing immediately and they had a technician out to my house within 2 hours! Derek was amazing and provided lots of information for mitigation. I had several questions after the fact and he texted me back right away with helpful tips. John also called to follow up after our service and the gals in the office were very responsive. We have used them in the past for other issues and they are prompt and provide excellent service. We have also become Dragon club members for the discount it provides. I would recommend Gretna Plumbing any day of the week!

    They did great! The guy answering the phone when his assistant was gone was very helpful. He squeezed me in because my kitchen sink was plugged and hence my kitchen inoperable. He sent Brady out. Brady was very honest and thorough. He admitted, like the guy on the phone, that they have never seen a situation like mine but have heard of it. Brady fixed it immediately and then performed many tests to ensure water was flowing from not only from my sink but my wash machine and main bathroom. He also explained how the water flowed to/from my sink/washing machine to my septic. To top it off he put a warranty on his work. Good to do business with Gretna Plumbing and Drain in Gretna!

    This is a damn good local business. I was referred by a guy whose opinion I value and couldnt be happier.We woke up with no hot water on Thursday morn. I contacted Jake at Gretna Plumbing and Drain later that afternoon. I also contacted a few other plumbers about the same time. Jakes professionalism on the phone was easily the best. We submitted a number photos so he could get an understanding of what the job entailed, and he said hed get back with us in the morning.Friday morning came and by 9am Jakes called and had a price estimate and a time his men could arrive.On such short notice, we were just hoping that someone could get our hot water back on before the weekend, but we really werent expecting it. His plumber John was at our house by 10:45am. New 75 gallon water heater installed by 12:30ish. He cleaned up nicely, and the job was done...Thats service.They were in and out. The plumbing and copper pipe work was clean and precise. And the price was better that some others I was quoted. This is an easy business to refer to people...

    I am completely impressed by the response and service from Gretna Plumbing! Yesterday, late in the day, we had a leak coming from the cold water faucet that our washing machine connects to. I spoke with Kennedy and she had someone (John, the owner) to our home within 30 minutes which to me was amazing!! John stopped the leak and told us he would have to pick up a part, and was back this morning and completed the repair. In addition, he quickly repaired a bathroom faucet that had a small leak in just minutes. Not only was John Ellis a pleasant and professional individual to work with, but his service was exceptional and reasonably priced. I will definitely use and highly recommend Gretna Plumbing to all my friends and neighbors in the future!

    Gretna Plumbing is fantastic. I had a main line blockage that was causing the ground level of my building to backup and flood. I called at 12:30. They were fully booked for the day, but were able to move things around and had the issue resolved by 3:30. Just incredible service that saved me countless time and money in potential damage from the flooding. You do not need to look elsewhere. Gretna plumbing is best.

    Water softener inspection/diagnostic check. I had Gretna Plumbing install our water softener a few years ago. We always thought our water wasn’t as soft as we’d hoped for.     I have now used Gretna Plumbing two times, they do a great job. They helped me understand why our drain was continually plugging up and gave ideas of a fix. Our water heater was leaking, I called Gretna Plumbing late evening to let them know of my issue, they were at my house the next morning and did an inspection on the water heater, it was bad and they also check for a warranty as it did still have one. Had a new water heater installed within a few hours. Great Job!! Great experience!!

    After it became apparent that I had a clog in my drain line out to my septic tank (which exceeded my ability to unclog and had the potential for a huge mess) I gave John at Gretna Plumbing a call. He dispatched two of his guys out to my house and they were there within an hour after my call and had the line to my septic cleared within 30 minutes. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. If youre in need of any plumbing services, John and his guys are honest, reliable, and will do right by his customers.     I have had problems with my kitchen drain for years, slow to drain and complete stoppages.it appears that when the drain was installed it had too many 90 degree angles and a slight upgrade leading to main sewar line.     I found myself in a panic the day before Thanksgiving. My toilet had broken and I didnt have the time to fix it before my company arrived later in the afternoon. I did get voicemail, however was called back immediately by the owner himself. He promised that someone would be out to help even if it was himself to come and get my guest bathroom up and running. He called back within 20 minutes and said he had a guy coming out within an hour. The repair was quick and so very much appreciated.     Meet John of Gretna Plumbing while working at Gretna Ace Hardware and was impressed with him. So when I needed some plumbing work thats who I called. They have repaired my water heater a couple of times.Had them install a water softener system, laundry sink and outside faucet. Have always been satisfied and happy with the work done.

    Outstanding. We just had a kitchen sink faucet replaced, but I cant say enough good things about the service. John Ellis explained everything, was quick, extremely courteous, and pleasant. Kennedy in their office was great to work with, as well. I had a question about a sticking valve and John actually advised me not to change it, because it wasnt necessary and didnt want me spending unnecessary money. I really appreciate that he told me the cost up front before starting the work.

    WE called Gretna Plumbing to relocate a gas line and shut off valve in back of our stove so that we could move the stove closer to the wall. Their crew came out when scheduled and moved the gas line into the wall behind the stove. After they left I noticed that where they moved the gas line in our basement the line was hanging approximately 18 from the ceiling. We call Gretna and they sent a supervisor out to see what he could do to correct the problem. he took some pictures and a video of the gas line and sent it to his office for review. Within an hour the owner of their company came with a service tech.and both of them did a very professional job in attaching the gas line to the upper floor joists.Their service is second to none. We highly recommend Gretna Plumbing for your plumbing needs.

    My water softner was not working properly after moving to the Gretna - Tiburon area. In researching found the water softner was under warranty and Gretna Plumbing was the authorized dealer for these types of water softners.I contacted Gretna Plumbing & John Elliss team made numerous trips to my home in determining the issue. They provided superior service in sticking with me and fixing my water softner issue and was only charged for the initial trip and I know they were out at least four times.Having been in the service industry over 40 years and it would have been very easy for John and his team to send the issue back to the manufacturer, they did not.     Recently moved to Bellevue from out of state. Bought our home and intended on purchasing a water softener. John from Gretna Plumbing did our consultation and talked to us first to understand our intent and water usage in the household. He talked about recommended size of units, pros/cons of various models, and then when he saw our current gas water heater he informed us it was from 1985 -- the age of the house. We learned we had scalding hot water because the thermostat was likely corroded. John didnt push at all, but explained that water heaters are designed to last roughly 10 years. He offered more recommendations, explanations of how he would do the work, models he would use, where he could place equipment, etc. We learned more in 1 hour with him than at any major home improvement store. In the end, we decided to go with a new water heater and two piece water softener system. John had great availability to install and gave us an excellent price, plus peace of mind that our old system wont die on us in the middle of winter. John and Jacob came to install everything and were friendly, professional, and explained everything about the system so that we could understand our equipment. Knowing that he also provides 24 hour emergency service gives us great peace of mind. Gretna Plumbing has earned our trust and continued business.
