(Full disclosure: I am a local home owner. I am not being compensated in any capacity for this positive review. While I was offered a small credit on my bill from Jakes for putting a sign in my front yard, that does not extend to this review. This review is entirely my own free thoughts.)I would give 10 stars if I could. I was told by a different company that I needed to replace my sewer line under the street and would be responsible for repaving the street. Told me it would be $19,000. My worries certainly didnt go down the drain with them.I knew I needed a second opinion. I asked around and Jakes came highly recommended by both a realtor friend of mine and a project manager at a local construction company. I called Jakes and they were able to provide me a free second opinion. Every person I spoke to and met with Jakes was extremely nice and professional. Shout out to both Chad and John who came to my house. Both very kind and knowledgeable plumbers. Chad came to my house after the clog was removed to do a camera inspection of my sewer line and confirmed that it was in good condition and did not need any further service. Amber, the service manager, was so helpful and transparent in explaining my options over the phone to me and answered all my questions. I cant recommend them enough. Having a contractor you can trust means the world, and Jakes definitely earned my trust this week.

Highly recommend Jake’s for plumbing work! My technician Chris M was great! Got my plumbing issue fixed and communicated what was going on during the whole process. Actually took the time to try and fix my issue rather than just give me an outrageous quote for a bunch of work unrelated to my issue like a different company did. Would also like to give a huge shout out to the staff in the office for such exceptional customer service! The office staff clearly values their customers based on my experience with them! 10/10 highly recommend Jake’s and if I ever run into any other issues, they will be my first call!

Jakes went above and beyond my expectations. Their team was friendly, transparent, easy to contact, and really did a great job. We had a power surge that took out all our appliances. We needed a new ac unit and water softener replaced asap. They were super fast compared to other companies scheduled 2 weeks or more out. Jake threw in a free surge protector and also a free water softener with the AC upgrade. I also learned today he does a lot of work for our Veterans. So many great and timely repairs, that we became monthly members! Josh has worked on and maintained our HVAC unit multiple times and Donnie repaired a plumbing issue we had recently. Donnie and Lance were both fantastic getting us taken care of. Our water heater went out and we were able to make an appointment the next day, and they got our service done that day too! We weren’t without hot water for 24 hours! Both were extremely friendly with great customer service as well. Donnie also left us a very nice voicemail complimenting our son. We just appreciate the overall great service and Donnie taking the time to put that in our voicemail just shows one of the reasons we are very pleased with their service. We will eventually have to replace our heat/air system and will definitely use them in the future again! I highly recommend them for any service needs! Thank you again Donnie and Lance!!!

The main thing that I took from Austin was his professionalism as he researched my system looking for problems. When he gave me my results he talked to me with respect and did not talk down to me. 10/10 recommend! From the first phone call to schedule the appointment to the follow up phone call after the service, all people we extremely nice. I received a timeframe in which they would be out and told I would be notified when the tech was on his way. I received a text and phone call when he was 20 minutes out. Chad arrived when he said he would. He was extremely nice and explained things well every step of the way. I was working from home and he was respectful of me being on meetings and was very respectful of my home by wearing his foot coverings, even when I told him he didnt have to. This was the first time we used Jakes and I am very impressed!

My technician Lance Whittaker showed up in a very nice looking van and dressed professionally. I told him what was going on with my sewer backing up out of the pipe in the backyard. He brought out his machine and showed me the camera and what was causing the backup. He got it working as well as bringing to my attention some other issues that will need to be addressed some time down the road. I was very impressed with Lances knowledge. I will definitely be calling this company back for my future needs and would like to see Lance on the job. Thank you for your professionalism and concern of my situation. Im also amazed at the technology nowadays.

Highly reccomended! We have had a lot of stuff done this last month. Now that its all done I definitely give a glowing review. Financing is offered and was a life/wallet saver. Professional, on time, honest I can go on. They answered all my questions without hesitation. Made sure everything was in working order before leaving. Our crawl is super tiny but they thought outside of the box and luckily saved us who knows how much on having to cut the floors open. Plus the VIP club saved us a little too. Chad and a crew from Jakes did work for my fiance and I right after moving in to our new home. I called after having all of the plumbing back up in to the house. They came out the same day I called and were able to get everything taken care of for us. Fast forward to a week later, we had a contracting company doing work at the house, a crew member struck a water line and we had water coming in and subsequently no water the entire day. I called Jakes and Chad came all the way back out to our home and was able to get the problem fixed and water back up and running for us. We already have future work lined up. Highly recommend Chad and any crew that Jakes sends out. They are professional and proficient from boots on the ground as well as within their administrative staff.

My gas hot water heater pilot light went out and wouldnt come back on. I called for service to see what was going on. Lady was very nice and was able to get me scheduled within a few days of calling (since I called on a Friday). She said they would call me before showing up. The day of the appointment they called and said they would arrive in 20 min. They arrived on time. They looked at the hot water heater and estimated it to be very old, like borrowed time old. So he did make some suggestions of either getting it repaired or getting it replaced. He explained the pros and cons of repairing it and the pros and cons of replacing it. It would be more cost effective for replacement, so we went with replacement. They set up the appt for replacing it for the next day- so very efficient in setting up that appt.They guys were professional, professionally dressed, and was thorough on explaining everything.

They were very informative as to what they were going to do and kept us informed of their progress. They had to order a different anode rod and flue pipe once they were here. Jakes installed a new HVAC and AC system for our old farmhouse. They also added a split system to the 2nd story - we finally will have the ability to cool the upstairs bedrooms. We never thought we would use the heating system in it, but when the temperatures dropped at Christmas, our waterbed sprung a leak and we had to use an upstairs bedroom for several nights. Even with the temperature at minus 12, the unit kicked in and the bedroom quickly warmed up. They also installed a valve so that we can hook our propane generator directly to our propane tank just in case the power goes out. We will use Jakes for all our heating and plumbing problems from now on. They are great!

I had Summers come out 3 weeks ago and they tried to snake the drain and they couldnt get it to drain. So they had me try bio-clean for 3 weeks and told me they had a jetter if bio-clean didnt work and they could use the jetter. Well they apparently do NOT have a jetter and said there was nothing else they could do for me.So i called Jakes this morning, Chris came out 3 hours later and I now have a working drain! I wish I would have called Jakes 3 weeks ago instead of Summers now. But I now plan on canceling my service plan with Summers and I might start using Jakes. Thanks Chris!

We switched to Jakes from a different HVAC company with which we were dissatisfied. Jakes has been wonderful! We own two historic commercial buildings and our experience with our normal heating system maintenance was so improved than that of our former company - their maintenance employees were communicative, informative, thorough, and respectful to our building tenants. Then, the building next to our historic Main Street buildings burned and we had to go through the difficult remediation process - severe smoke/soot damage. They provided us a fair quote and worked with our insurance company to get everything approved. They were timely in their availability to get us back on track - and their crew was so pleasant to have in our buildings for several days. They do what they promise!

He went above what his job required and got me set up with team members to come in for a quote the same day. The heat exchanger on my 16yr furnace was cracked and leaking carbon monoxide causing my wife and I to wake up with headaches. i knew the symptoms of this so I shut off the furnace and called Jakes. They sent someone out that day to diagnose the problem. Cameron put a camera inside and confirmed it. Jake came out that afternoon to give an estimate and options of furnaces. After I excepted the quote they set up the install two days later. The technicians that came were very professional, courteous as well as friendly. They had to rework my cold air return then install the new furnace and thermostat. they cleaned up before leaving. I would highly recommend this company.
