Upon arrival, which was punctual after receiving a text confirming that Jack was on his way, he and his apprentice Kingston laid out the entire process of repairing the shower valve. They clearly explained the various repair options and their respective costs, as well as the cost of replacing the entire valve if repairs were unachievable. They proceeded to complete the repairs, thoroughly cleaned the work area, and all this at the lowest quoted price by Owen & Sons Plumbing LLC. I used to hire the well-known Rooter services until their prices soared. Its not widely known, but a lot of plumbing companies also handle sewer line issues. When I found out Owen & Sons Plumbing LLC employs a camera system to tackle problems, I switched over from Rooty Rooter. Their team is fantastic. Theyre always punctual, and they dont stop working until theyre confident the issue is resolved. Donald visited recently and not only cleared the roots causing a backup, but also showed me where the cast iron ends and the clay pipe (which will eventually need replacing) starts. He used a metal-detecting device, and this knowledge will prevent me from having to replace the section of line running under the patio. Ive been a loyal customer for more than two decades in Gig Harbor and I couldnt recommend them highly enough for any plumbing repair or replacement. Ive relied on them for both indoor and outdoor work, and I find their rates reasonable and their workmanship outstanding. Theyre genuinely good people. Highly recommended.

After over a week of waiting (Im still waiting, by the way), I contacted another local plumbing company. They sent Miles, who suggested a full replacement of all my pipes, both interior and exterior, costing nearly $10,000. Since I didnt have that kind of money just lying around, I started looking for another plumber. After researching local plumbing companies, I read some great reviews about a certain business and decided to give them a shot. I placed a call on a monday morning and Jack assured me that hed be there first thing tuesday. True to his word, Jack showed up on time. He crawled under the house and told us that a section of pipe about 3 feet long needed replacing. Off he went to get the necessary parts and came back to replace the pipe. We found ourselves in a non-urgent situation, needing a no-dig solution... ...which, if youve never witnessed before, is quite impressive. Our pipe connects with the neighbors, and we share from the junction out to the main... ...while the hole was being dug, the neighbor decided to also replace his part, and Owen & Sons Plumbing LLC was completely okay with this additional work. Finally, they lined the pipe from the junction all the way to the main, giving the neighbor and i a completely new pipe from our houses to the sewer main. Would i vouch for this plumbing service? Absolutely!!! These guys are first-rate, and if you choose to use them, i hope you receive the same high-quality service.

    Water heater troubles: The pilot light just wouldnt stay lit. Right off the bat, there was NO FIXED SERVICE/DIAGNOSTIC FEE! Secondly, if its not a simple repair, its bound to be costly with any plumber, so it feels better when you can trust the person, leading us to point #3. Jack, the owner and a one-man team, was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly and clearly committed to doing the right thing for his clients. Hes upfront and extremely meticulous. He first attempts the simplest solutions to save you money. He never tried to convince me to purchase a new water heater, but rather explained the advantages and disadvantages. He never attempted to sell me more than I needed. After trying the simple repairs without success, he even called the manufacturer for suggestions before proceeding with his initial thought that the gas valve controller was the issue (a common problem I found in my own YouTube research). When he gave me the price quote, I asked, But if that doesnt work, and youve already installed it, does that mean I pay that plus anything else? He assured me that I would only pay for the solution that ultimately fixed the problem. He sourced a new gas valve, installed it, and voila, it worked! He also fixed my drainage pipe to ensure proper drainage in case of flooding and cleaned my burner at no additional cost. We even tripped a switch while he was there. My wife couldnt figure out the electrical box, so Jack stepped in to help. Towards the end, I mentioned a concern about a potential leak due to a sudden spike in our water usage. Instead of insisting on extra charges for his time, he gave me some tips on how to find the leak and discussed what I could do to prevent expensive repairs in the future. Instead of just leaving, he said, Lets take a look at your water meter. We had trouble locating it initially, but Jack found it. It was hidden under some gravel, so he fetched a shovel from his truck, dug it up, and then explained to me how the water meter works.     Weve turned to Owen & Sons Plumbing LLC on numerous occasions throughout the years. From an urgent call to fix a failed hot water heater to the installation of frost-resistant outdoor faucets, to a complete kitchen plumbing relocation and setup. Most recently, we needed an emergency replacement for a faulty sump pump. For this latest task, Kingston was onsite within an hour and promptly installed the new pump, managing the water levels effectively. He even cleared out the sump basin from any rocks and debris, all in a short span of time. The pricing has always been fair, and for the fantastic service, we wouldnt mind paying a bit more. We cant recommend their services highly enough if youre in Gig Harbor.
