I have not been a customer of Coakley but I am writing this review as the granddaughter for an employee. My grandpa has been employed by Coakley for as long as I can remember. My grandma was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. Unfortunately my grandma passed away Feb. 15, 2020. Not only did Coakley send a beautiful flower arraignment for her services but everyone that my grandpa works for and with showed up. They offered hugs, condolences and smiles in our familys time of need. Thank you Coakley for being so compassionate, patient and understanding. I dont think this company realizes that when they were taking care of my grandpa it allowed him to take care of my grandma the way she deserved to be taken care of. My grandpa went back to work this week and has told me just how kind everyone has been. Not one person that works for Coakley has passed him by without a hand shake or a hug and a How are you and your family doin? Is there anything you all need? Thank you C J Coakley Co Inc for everything!!! -

I have been in business for 34 years first starting out part time and when my daughter was going to be born, I decided to quit my 9 to 5 job and run my part-time business and step up from a warehouse building environment to an office environment to attract bigger and better customers. I Dealt with many people with the Coakley brothers and sister in every day Issues that you have when you lease a building. I am going on my 27th year at my first location with them and in my 4th year with an additional location which doubled my capacity. I wish I could say business was at pre-COVID levels but it is not, yet we are continuing to grow slowly every month and I just have to say that my newest location is the 15th location that I have had in 34 years. Many of my old locations were in an old industrial area that has been completely full over and turned into a apartment building and condo building and a big super high end Retail area with one of the greatest movie theaters I’ve ever been to, and I continue to go to that theater and all the restaurants and the small businesses make this a wonderful area to spend an evening with a loved one. The floor plan of this development took out for previous locations I had and then with more expansion half mile up the road at the Dunn Loring Metro area. this retail area has topped the last one as far as small, independent eateries mixed in with some commercial ones that are still on the low end and a grocery store and before all this was built across the street purchased a beautiful penthouse condo. And they only thing that was originally there was a Harris Teeter grocery store, which was probably the founding rock that everything else was built around. And right across from the end of the retail area is the new headquarters of my landlord CJ Coakley. I have never had one problem with the people that work there and I have been with them so long that I have seen the passing of Mr. CJ Coakley who I negotiated my first lease with. Now, Maria Coakley is in charge and it was an absolute joy to negotiate my 2nd building lease. COVID made things difficult. But I can’t blame it on them and when the city of Falls Church closed for four months and I couldn’t get anything approved Management said don’t worry about it Richard just build the place out the way you designed it and how it is on your architectural papers and when you open up, you will start your lease. And we were delayed by 13 months because of COVID, but we finally opened and I’m happy to say that we turned a small profit in our first month. All I need to do is concentrate on my company. The quality of the building’s they have are so nice, that I never have a problem and as soon as I think, gosh, the building could use painting, within a week one time it was painted. And they black and seal the parking lot regularly and paint lines, and one building has trees and grass and mulch and the buildings are beautiful. But if I ever have a problem, I just make a phone call if it’s a big emergency or just go on the computer and fill out a ticket to, for example, the latest issue I have after 27 years, the bathroom fan has cut out . I put on a repair ticket and it get’s done pronto. It is organized for their keeping track of expenses and things like that and I completely understand because I have a very complex system with my business. My first location, CJ Coakley built out everything and it came out perfect exactly as I wanted it and on the second location they were backlogged in doing work so as it’s my 15th location. It’s not like I haven’t done this before. And CJ Coakley stepped in in a few places to help me get better pricing on Air Conditioning and Carpet, and they are always looking out for me. And they are very accessible and have a great system and I have a person that I deal with for everything now regarding my building, Christopher Hayes. he is great and he has so much experience, That I have actually learned a few things from him. This is a great company. Period. -
