Martel continues to impress. I used them for a project that had to cut into my main stack of the house a few years back and they did a great job, at a good price. Recently, I called asking about converting to propane, and they talked to me about options, asked lots of questions, and answered even more of mine. They were honest, straightforward and helpful. I will continue to go to Martel for my needs, and you should too!

We called Martel Plumbing & Heating yesterday afternoon for our rooftop AC only blowing hot air on a nearly 100 degree. Martels boys were here before our staff opened the business for the day and had the AC blowing ice cold in an hour. They also renovated my bathroom and installed a new kitchen sink in my home in 2019. I wont call anybody else but Martel. Top notch!

Great job and price by Martel to replace my boiler expansion tank!Ed was very quick to respond throughout. When I started reaching out to plumbers in the area via email, he called me right back via phone. I was able to send him a picture of it and he provided a high estimate quote from what he could see. He also had technicians ready to go and could get me in for an appointment next day. It was a slow leak and I wanted to shop around a bit first. What I didnt realize at the start was that Martel was going to be the best.PJ Labrie & Sons couldnt get me in for a few weeks and they quoted about 50% more than Martel. Heritage sent out a technician for a free estimate but it turned into a whopping 100% more than the initial estimate from Martel.I went back to Ed after doing my evaluation and happily agreed to the quote and we marked it in for the next business day after a weekend. Due to family challenges over the weekend, I could not commit to the date we agreed to. I touched based with Ed and he understood the need for the short notice postponement. We rescheduled for the following week.Mike arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled start time and was very efficient throughout. He must have noted everything that was needed from the picture I sent earlier because he had it all with him for the job. Mike had everything taken care of much faster than the other companies quoted. The full job took about 90 minutes which involved the replacement of the air scoop, tank and some new copper pipe and fittings. Again, this was just for my situation and I cant speak to how the timing may go for a similar job for you. You can see my before and after pictures to get an idea of what my job looked like.I received the invoice 4 days later and to my surprise it came in at about half the price initially estimated. Ed said he would pass on any savings to me if the job were easier and he certainly did. As a new resident, Im happy to have found my go-to plumbing and heating service company :)

Called Ed one week; Todd & Chris were out the next week to install sink/faucet and replace 40+ yr old cast iron pipe that was totally clogged. Lifesavers. Fast and efficient, right on time. Highly recommend.

We have used Martel twice since we bought our house and we could not be happier. Our latest service was to have our water tank replaced. From start to end of this project Zack at Martels was great. Zack explained things thoroughly before and after the installation, taking time to address any questions we had. Further, Zack gets points for explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. He genuinely cared that we were happy. Finally, we found Martels pricing to be competitive, too.Really solid people at Martels - we will continue to use them for all of plumbing and HVAC needs!

We just had 3 Mitsubishi split units installed by Martel and they were great to deal with every step of the way. Zack was very responsive and helpful. The guys that did the install were friendly and worked very hard and efficiently. When they left everything was neat and clean and they made sure we were happy with everything before leaving. Every one we dealt with was professional, friendly, and helpful. Very neat, quality work and a reasonable price. Would use them again without any hesitation.

Ive had Martel do a lot of work at my house over the past few years. They have replaced my oil tank, boiler fed hot water heater, relocated baseboard heat pipes, install new plumbing for a double vanity and other small stuff. The tradesmen they send are always friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They always answer my (many) questions and explain clearly. Zack has been a tremendous help and always gets back to me quickly when I call for new work or a follow up when I have questions about the work done. The few times that small mistakes were made, they were fixed quickly without any fuss. Overall a great company to do business with and I will continue to use them.

I needed work done last year to bypass my water filtration system for a couple of my external pipes. The team at Martel were amazing all the way through from 1st call, to coming out during covid while following all safety protocols. Super professional and a year down the road, everything is working flawlessly as expected. The pricing was right where I expected it to be. Will definitely call these guys again.

Martel Heating and Plumbing installed a de novo multi-heat hyper heat Minisplit in my house. From the initial inquiry about the project, through the installation and to post installation operational follow up, the services provided by Martel were above and beyond. The project estimation was accurately reflected in the final bill, no hidden or surprise charges and the technicians doing the installation were courteous, professional, and took the up most care with my property. Communication before during and after the project was clear and there was never any doubt that me as an individual customer was treated as their number on priority. Martel sent two men at $90 an hour to replace two washers in our bathtub and repack the tub controls.They did not replace the washers and charged us over $300 for their visit.They called me much later after I had sent them an e-mail and said that there had been a mistake in billing and that they would correct the leaking faucets and revise the bill. They did come and replace the two washers , After some discussion with Dave at Martel he stated that the bill was not correct and that they would refund the entire payment I had made which they did. I am more than satisfied with their response...

I havent been billed yet, but they were the only plumber who not only answered the phone but came the next morning. Got here at time they said they would, the job was bigger than his allotted time but he stayed and did a great job. He did write price of hourly rate and as long as the parts are not sky high, we are very happy with the work. The guy was friendly, helpful and did a fantastic job. I would recommend to friends any day. :)

They were hired by our dead-beat general contractor (who has since been fired). He said he had never worked with this contractor before, and he had reservations about working with him, but when he saw there were elderly people there in residence, he felt bad for the homeowner (he had never met us) and decided to do the plumbing work. When I called to check in on the status of the work he had arranged with the GC(since fired), I let Ed know we wanted to make sure they were paid and that we wanted to continue working with them and give our contact and payment information, (and explain the situation with the contractor), Ed was very understanding, made his concerns known about the work done prior to his company, had suggestions going forward and even offered to make some calls to reputable contractors to help us hire good people. They have a great reputation with the town hall and others that weve recently spoken to. Hes the plumber we will call for all needs from here on out!

Today my service man Troy from Martel Plumbing came. He was very pleasant and called me about 8:15 said he was on his way.It was very hot out and he took out both my old toilets and put two new ones in . I liked the Drake II by toto. (not the Drake 1) more bowl room on the II.He took a good look at my flange, said it looked good, and put fresh wax down on the flange after cleaning the area up nice. He used some shims to prevent rocking. And he replaced the water hose, and I even had him install my water toilet hammer arrestors that i purchased from online (just for extra protection).He worked hard, and he worked through the heat for about 2.5 hours and didnt stop. He was amazing.Ill continue to use my toilets, you know, test them out. I didnt notice anything major for problems. If I do see a little issue, I know who to call. Plumbing can be like that, sometimes you have to use things for a bit see how they work.Troy said if I notice anything odd, or something comes up to give em a call. They would be out to fix it.I like that peace of mind because, honestly i do get a little worried about stuff with water, pipes etc. I just rather leave it to the pros, and i can do the light switches and things like that ! hahaa

Martel was recommended to me by a co-worker. I needed to have a water heater replaced. My preferred contact method is email so I emailed a few companies for some quotes. Zack from Martel responded within a few hours with an estimate for the job. The other companies either never responded OR it took days. I decided to use Martel. Zack was very accommodating when I wanted to change the tank model since I was looking for an energy star model. The installation went well and the 2 person team was effective and professional. A few weeks later, I wanted to have a Memo Meter installed and again I used Martel. Zack provided an estimate and after the meter was installed, the bill came in actually lower than the estimate. I was very happy about that and really appreciate that Zack tried and was able to help save me some money. I would highly recommend Martel P&H to anyone who needs their service. I am looking to use them again in the future when we plan on doing a bathroom remodel. Enclosed are few pictures of the water heater installation. Because the building code changed, they had to install an expansion tank and replace the pvc vent pipe. Also the replacement water header was taller so they had to re-do the copper pipes. I think that the finished job looks very good.

These folks are great. They show up when promised and communicate about how the process is going. Not something I can say for other companies, who never show and or never let you know how the project is going. They may not be the cheapest, but they are fair and honest, and they actually answer the phone, and the work is top notch.

When we built the house, we had Martel do our complete plumbing and heating job. We have 3 bathrooms (one with both a whirlpool tub and separate shower), radiant floor heating, several outdoor faucets, and a few other complications. They were always courteous, responsive, and performed well.Later on, we did modifications to one of the bathrooms and added a kitchen sink to the basement. Again, they did excellent work. Often, the work was not simple. For example, the basement bathroom required running a pipe under the house footer (about 3 feet deep), and they did a good job digging the holes and trenches, running the pipes to the septic tank and so on. The whirlpool bath was in a corner where is was EXTREMELY difficult to do the plumbing for all the little fixtures, yet they came up with solutions and were successful.We have had them work on my mother-in-laws house, both plumbing problems and heating issues. They were always professional and did good work.My only complaint, and it is a very minor one, is that sometimes they get so busy, they have a hard time fitting me in. Even then, they usually go above and beyond in squeezing me in to their busy schedule. So, why dont I give them 5-stars? I never give out 5-stars except for complete perfection, and while they are quite excellent, they arent perfect.Bottom line, I have and will continue to recommend (and use) Martel for plumbing and heating.
