We love our 1200 sq ft of finished basement! The work was completed on schedule. We loved the design process and the professional and pleasant employees of FBC. The project supervisor visited the sight everyday and sometimes stayed for hours. Shared pictures of progress daily. Was responsive to any questions or changes we had. All materials used in construction and finishing were of high quality! All of the tradesmen/women were experienced and did excellent work explaining any questions we presented. We would highly recommend FBC for your project. Come and look at our incredible new living space! Thank you FBC!

They truly do build JOY!!! We had them redo our kitchen two years ago and we are now bringing them back to redo all four of our bathrooms! From start to finish they were there right by our side to make sure everything was perfect. They were always quick to correct and problems to our satisfaction and their customer service was superb. Design, delivery, and final product were nothing short of FANTASTIC!!! We cant wait to see what they do with our bathrooms. FBC did an amazing job with our 1600 sq ft basement. The sales team listened to our vision, offered several options and helped us stay within budget. Our PM was fantastic! We received daily communication with minimal life interruption, realistic expectations and partnered with us to ensure every aspect was covered. They even finished early!!! We had met with 2 other contractors and are so happy about our choice! They accommodated our quirky requests for a brewery room, rerouting our laundry dryer vent, closeting our water piping for access and exterior window well changes. Best choice ever!!!

We cant say enough about the design team at FBC. We had multiple companies bid on our project and everyone else came back with the same basic design (a good but not spectacular layout). But FBC looked at the space from a completely different angle and in the process was able to create everything on our wishlist including an extra room. The design was elegant and functional and our family now benefits from it every day.

A very good experience, from start through design and build. Thorough pre-design interview and face-to-face meetings with the designer led to a very thoughtful, clever, even surpsing design for our basement, resulting in something that looks like it was built with the original home 20+ years ago. The trades were above expectations, especially framing, plumbing and electrical - all worked with me to ensure we were getting what we wanted, and were time-efficient and professional. Project manager was responsive to change requests, and kept the project on and even ahead of schedule. Basement projects of this size are messy and occasionally disruptive and noisy, but my expectations were well managed.I can highly recommend FBC.

The design/construction approach by FBC produced an excellent finished product for us. We added a large recreation room for pool, TV and games along with a bedroom and bathroom. Ceiling soffits, arched entries and angled walls created a unique and inviting space. The project team and trade partners did fine work and we are very happy with our new basement. All work was completed on schedule and within budget. The best part was having all construction access through the basement window. Our only advice is to carefully review all design details to assure that everything you want is clearly specified in the drawings. Then be part of the team by doing quality control as the project moves along.

We used FBC to finish our basement and are in love with the results! From the very beginning of the design process to the final touches at completion, FBC was patient, professional, and creative. We created a space we can host easily in, as well as, a place for the kids to play wild. The project was delivered on budget and on scheduled as promised, even when surprises occurred as they do with any project. If/when we do any future renovations in our home in the future, we wont hesitate to use them again. Thanks!!

We recently completed a basement remodel project with Finished Basement Company in Denver and couldn’t be happier with the experience.The design team led by Cheri was spectacular, taking our raw ideas and turning them into a beautifully finished basement. We began with a 2000 square foot totally unfinished garden-level basement and a dream of what it could become. And less than 8 weeks later we were living in a gorgeous, fully-finished basement that was more beautiful than we could have imagined. The original unfinished basement was a completely unenclosed space with exposed beams, rafters and insulation. The finished project is a set of beautiful spaces including a 2nd master suite, a full bath, a 2nd kitchen, a large family-entertainment room, a home office and a huge storage closet.Virtually every step of the process was meticulously planned, designed and executed. Our construction manager, Ted, was a delight to work with and was incredibly flexible in meeting our needs and in supervising every aspect of the project. Even when an unexpected snag occurred (as always happens in these types of projects) Ted was all over it, ensuring that the project could move forward as expeditiously as possible. We couldn’t recommend someone more highly.The subcontractors that were used on this project were also a pleasure to deal with. The electrical crew was particularly good. They were extremely professional and very friendly. When we decided to make some minor changes (e.g., inserting dimmers where they hadn’t been pre-planned) they took of this in a matter of moments with no questions asked. It was truly a great experience!We have remodeled many homes in our 44-year marriage. But this was by far the easiest and likely the nicest project we have ever done. FBC made it all happen and we couldn’t recommend them any more highly.

We had our entire first floor (1100 sq ft) remodeled. We removed 2 walls, redesigned the layout to include a walk in pantry, tile floors, rounded drywall corners, lots of kitchen cabinets with a granite countertop, upgraded our fireplace, replaced the sliding patio door with french doors and upgraded appliances. Finish Basement Company did all of this in just 3 months. Their design team listened to us and designed us a kitchen of our dreams. They pay attention to the details to make a quality job of the process. Then their tradesmen came in to make the design a reality. We just love the finished product and would highly recommend FBC to anyone looking to remodel.

We are very happy we hired FBC Remodel in Denver to fully finish our basement. The finished space looks amazing! Everybody we worked with at FBC had a clear commitment to customer service that showed from the very first sales meeting through to the project close date. During the design phase, Camey and Shannon listened to our feedback and questions to deliver a basement that perfectly fits our needs but they also weighed in with their expertise to help guide us through the process. As the construction began, our project manager, Brian, was on top of everything and made sure we were well informed. When problems came up, as they inevitably do on this size of a project, Brian was easy to work with to find a good solution. Unlike other companies, FBC never took advantage of those problems to charge us more money. Their focus was on our satisfaction with the finished product and we are very happy with how everything turned out. We would highly recommend FBC for your basement finishing project.

The design team was amazing! We bid our project out to at least 3 other contractors and the Finished Basement Companys design was by far the best for our needs. The design team listened carefully to our priorities and incorporated them into a design that fit into our budget. And, they removed a great deal of stress from the process of selecting finishes for our basement.And the project manager and subcontractors were outstanding and very responsive. They kept us informed on a daily basis as to how the project was going and I came to look forward to our weekly meetings with the project manager. In the end, the project was completed several days early, which is a rarity in the world of construction. I have friends who are experienced in construction and all have remarked on what a great job FBC did on our basement!

FBC Remodel designed our kitchen and updated our entire first floor of our house. We interviewed many contractors and firms and we felt the most comfortable with FBC by far. First the entire team at FBC is incredibly friendly and approachable. The designers really put forth a lot of effort to make sure that you are happy and comfortable with the design before you even agree to move forward. A lot of other firms that we interviewed wanted a 10% deposit first, before a design was ever even created. Our design was beautiful and very unique, it fit the style of the house perfectly. Once we did decide to move forward with FBC, they easily got us in their schedule, we didnt have to wait months like other firms. The entire project zoomed by with no issues. Permitting was a breeze and any time any issues came up they were immediately addressed. We are so happy with our space and look forward to future projects with FBC.

We love our basement that FBC finished for us. They completed our project on time and communication was great the entire way.Design - We received bids from a few different companies. FBCs designer was the only one to spend time with us and talk with us about what we wanted in the space before coming up with some plans. We worked through a few iterations of the design and ended up with something we loved.Project Management - They laid out a plan for us from the start and stuck to the timeline. It went about as smooth as you can expect from a larger project. Of course there were unexpected items that cropped up from time to time, but the FBC team worked through it with us and we always came up with a resolution that worked for all parties.Construction - Every part of the construction was completed very well and the team took feedback from us along the way on anything we didnt understand or items we wanted changed.I definitely recommend them to anyone looking to finish their basement. We cant wait to use our new space for years to come.

We signed on with FBC not quite knowing what to expect, but aware that major construction projects are never smooth. Most important, their designers and project managers truly care about satisfying the customer.

We have wanted to finish our basement for the past few years. We reached out to a few contractors who came in, looked at our space and gave us a quick quote. FBC came in, spent a couple hours to get to know our family and take detailed measurements of the space including all utility lines. A few weeks later they presented us with a couple CAD drawings of our project that met our budget. Their design process, attention to detail and creativity is why we chose them for the project.Like any construction project, there were hiccups along the way, but FBC handled them professionally. Jordan was our PM and went above and beyond to make sure the issues were corrected and made it right with the customer when errors were made. What is not important is that errors were made but how they were handled and FBC did a great job in this aspect. Our project was finished on time and within budget.

I wanted to share about our recent basement finish project. We worked with FBC Remodel out of Denver. It has been a dream from start to finish. They provide design services including 3D visualizations. They clean up daily way beyond what we anticipated. There is an app that has a project calendar that was basically perfect timed. They always showed up when they planned to and we never got any excuses for delays. The project manager showed up daily to log the progress, take pictures, ensure everything was clean and check in with us. I just couldnt imagine a better experience.They work on everything from unfinished basements to bathroom remodels, home bar/theatre build-outs, and beyond.Tell them the Gambees sent you.

We looked into a few different basement remodel companies and chose Finished Basement Company. They were able to do our whole house remodel at the same time. Lower level and upper level. This was an important factor in deciding to go with FBC. We also liked that they make a very detailed time line and commit to a finish date as well. We had heard too many bad stories of projects stopping in the middle and then taking months to ever get remodel completed. Our designer and project manager had worked together a lot so they knew how to coordinate our ideas into a finished project. We had a few bumps along the way but our FBC team worked quickly and effectively to resolve the situation. They have been in business for 20 + years and so we felt confident knowing our home remodel was in good hands.

I was initially hesitant to use this company because the prices were maybe slightly higher. I quickly realized that they were worth every penny. The entire process, from beginning to end, was so so good. I loved this their design approach and the ways that they make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. They also offered me a couple different plans in order to my budget. It’s been a while since our basement has been completed, and it is definitely standing up to the test of time. I have since seen lots of neighbors go through so much trying to get their completed and it makes me even more thankful through the company I did. I would highly highly recommend this company!

FBC were very friendly to work with. They gave us plenty of options to choose from. Shannon our designer produced a basement design that we had not even thought about and it made our basement even more functional than we thought. We went with the nearly finished option due to budget and because we wanted to do some work ourselves. FBC took us all the way through final inspection. The PMs Aaron and Jamie were always available for us to talk to and responded to all our questions and concerns promptly. Their subcontractors were very courteous, open to our questions and respected our house and needs for cleanliness and work hours.

My wife and I do many DIY projects at home, but we needed help getting started with our basement. We were intrigued with FBC’s approach to helping us as much or as little as we wanted. The entire process was AMAZING! Our designer, Shannon, really listened to our wants, needs and budget--she came up with a great final plan to maximize our space, never pushed us in a direction we didn’t want to go, or pressured us to add extra bells and whistles we didn’t ask for. Our project manager, Ted, was on site practically every day, always answered our texts immediately, and made sure we were happy throughout the entire process. EVERY trade that came into our home was professional, respectful, tidy and most competent in their job. The quality of the work was top notch! Ours was a very small project both in terms of space and what FBC did for us, but they treated us from day one like we were their biggest client with the biggest budget. Our project finished AHEAD of schedule, there was no bait and switch with our agreed upon budget, and we can’t wait to get our new space and start making memories! Thank you, FBC!!!

We just finished our basement with FBC and couldnt be happier. When your basement outshines the rest of your house, thats a good basement.Their team, especially Tyler(GC), was fantastic to work with. The trades they hired were reliable and top notch and they delivered exactly what they promised. They never exceeded their quote and the basement was done a few days early. It was very nice to get email updates every day with photos of how things were developing along with an online calendar of when they would be doing what.Also, I never imagined that a project like this could be so minimally invasive. They really did a great job staying out of our living space and keeping the dust to a minimum. Using the basement window for their access to the basement was great.Ill try to edit this with some pics later.

Stellar experience from beginning to end. Both the design and build teams were fantastic - professional, timely and courteous. We are thrilled with our finished basement (including the wine cellar!) and would highly recommend FBC. Ps: FBCs warranty service is also fantastic - the few issues we had were fixed promptly and without charge (even though we reported one of them outside the warranty period - FBC did not nickel and dime us on that). We diligenced many finished basement companies and are so glad we went with FBC - great value and a very pleasant experience.

If you are looking for a basement finish, I just want to recommend FBC. They arent done with ours yet but their professionalism, communication and efficiency has sold me from the get go. They are a company that supports women in construction (our construction supervisor and most of the people that we have worked with are women--shout out to Amy and Sara!). I have been so thrilled with these women...I actually look forward to their visits, which in Amys case is several times a week. We even get day by day updates and pictures via an app that they use. We feel like they treat us like royalty, even though we did a basic basement with no frills and wanted to even do some of it ourselves. I cant wait to see the finished product because I have no doubt it will be exactly what we want. We are aware that we could get a finished product at a lesser cost but it really is the case that you get what you pay for and its been worth it so far to feel reassured that they are doing it right the first time. I have full confidence that this is going to be exactly as we want when its finished which is why I have no hesitancy writing a review early.

The only reason we are giving 5 stars is because we can’t give 6. From our first in home meeting with Sam she was incredible. She took our taste and styles and gave us floor plans that we could have never of dreamt up ourselves. Then stepped in Ted, who was an amazing project manager. He handled all the small hiccups and fixes and even went above and beyond to help me move furniture and such down when we needed extra hands. If you need a basement don’t hesitate to reach out to them as you will have the coolest basement on the block! Can’t wait to use them for our master bath and then kitchen remodels in the future

SHORT VERSION:FBC guarantees price and start/finish dates. They do a great job of creating a space for you prior to the work even starting. If youre the type of person that cares about every small detail, you should probably look somewhere else. If you just want someone to design your space and do it, FBC is fantastic. Friendly people to work with.LONG VERSION:Overall were happy with the work FBC did, but there were a couple issues that I think potential clients should be aware of.We chose FBC, despite their higher than market price, because 1) they could guarantee a price, 2) they could guarantee a start and finish date, and 3) because of the detailed planning that gets done before the project even starts (they create a 3D sketch-up of your space so you can visually see it). Ive heard horror stories of contractors extending projects by months and charging more than initially quoted. FBC was great about sticking to their budget and schedule.The first issue was around the design. You go to their office several times to consult on the actual design of your space (I appreciate that they go into that much detail). The problem occurred when certain features would be removed between meetings and they failed to inform us. They did it to cut costs, but if I wasnt particular about analyzing everything, I would have been very upset had the project started and features I expected were not implemented.My biggest issue involved the framing. We have a structural beam that runs down the middle of our space. To the right of it is the HVAC and plumbing. During the design phase, the designer specified that we were going to wrap the beam, paint it an accent color to make it pop. My understanding was that the ceiling would then be as high as possible in all other areas. After framing was done, I walked downstairs and noticed that instead of wrapping the beam, they lowered the ceiling height to the bottom of the beam and added additional wood below the beam to create a fake accent beam. In a basement where head space is limited, this was a terrible idea as I lost over 3 inches of ceiling height in a significant portion of my basement and as well as added an additional 2+ inches below the beam (which is already the lowest point in the basement). When I brought it up, the designers response was its been in the drawing like this from the beginning, as if the average person knows how to read ceiling heights in a construction drawing. If you tell me that youre going to wrap the beam, then wrap the beam. Dont create a fake beam below the actual beam. They said they would split the cost of repairing it but that it would add over a week to my timeline. I couldnt afford to add time to my project nor did I think it was my responsibility to pay for their mistake, so I had to leave it as it was.Continuing on the its been in the drawing like this from the beginning, we downgraded our wall texture to cut costs. I was very clear about where I wanted that texture to start and the drawing did say start texture here. Unfortunately the wall texture was not started where the drawing specified and instead I have two different textures right next to each other. I didnt bring it up because I had already complained about several other things and didnt want to delay the project any further.Something I forgot to ask about from the very beginning was the guest room closet. Apparently FBC doesnt do closets so they just bought a single rod for the space. I ended up not even installing that and having to pay a trim carpenter several hundred more to finish out the closet.All in all, I truly enjoyed working with the project manager assigned to me. He was friendly and helpful. For anyone looking to use FBC, if you want to be involved in every decision, make sure that youre constantly monitoring what is put into the drawing (we had some things that were verbally spoken about but not put into the drawing and now we dont have those features), and constantly monitoring the work theyre doing. If you dont really care, FBC is great.

FBC handled every aspect of my truly custom basement remodel. This included pulling permits, managing the contractors, working with the HOA, and making sure every last detail was perfect. The design options and connections provide real value.My complicated remodel included creating a walkout and sourcing European components for a one-of-a-kind basement remodel. I was also able to do some of the work myself, which is a rare opportunity to have a business allow some parts to be self-sourced.The GM and design team made everything right and truly cared about the success of the project. I could not provide a stronger recommendation for FBC.

I could not be happier with the entire process and experience that we just completed with Finished Basement Company. Every aspect of the process was done with an honest, caring, professional attitude. The team went above and in most cases beyond my expectations. Every question and concern was listened to to make sure we got exactly what we asked for. Not one time did I feel bad, awkward or burdened for asking questions or pointing out problems I may have seen at any point in the construction process. Most times any issues that may have arisen were brought to my attention before I could find them and they had action plans in place to correct them immediately with multiple options. Let me begin by stating that FBC created an outstanding basement for me. Everything about the process flowed naturally, painlessly, and left me feeling stress free even though building projects tend to make me overly nervous. Sara Hugo is a great designer who created an iconic design with only the roughest of parameters given to her. She adapted the design to my builder unfriendly biases (no jack hammering, no carpet, etc). She was ever cheerful and facilitated the sale without ever exerting pressure. FBC went out of their way to accommodate accents they had never attempted previously. They adjusted projects as needed midway through. Olivier Goedert managed the project brilliantly (ask for him he’s great, just like Sara). I think the finished project speaks for itself. I give FBC my highest recommendation without any reservations or qualifications. I do not say things like this very often, but they are a company that delivers and has earned my trust. When you see the photos I think you will agree they delivered in a special way. Thank you, FBC, well done!
