Classic scenerio; home owner gets in over his head and does what he should have in the first place....call a plumber!Mike from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing saved the day (and the holidays!) with a one day from phone call entire shower/bath valve repair to our mother-in-law suite before the guests arrive. Tomorrow!The entire operation was as smooth as you would like it; B Franklin picked up the phone, not a machine, and set up the appointment quickly and had a plumber over to our house within two hours. Updates were reported by text. An estimate was rendered on the spot and that is exactly what I paid. No, ...well, as I got into it, its going to cost more than we figured. nonsense.It was what I considered a tradesmans job, not a simple leaky faucet. The job required real expertise and experience. The work was done within three hours and Mike explained all he done, left the work area clean and offered his contact info. for future use.Well beyond pleased!

Mike was our plumber and was great. Fixed our problem in less than 30 minutes charging less than $200 which gave us water again. He was on time and told us to reach out if we had any problems. Very professional. Only qualm is that I was quoted $89 emergency service fee since it was a Sunday and I understand; the qualm is because I was called 4 hours after scheduling and 1 hour before the appointment and informed I was given the wrong quote and that it was actually $189 for someone to come on a Sunday and asked if I’d still like to keep the appointment. It would have been fine if I was notified sooner to potentially find another company but due to the delayed notification I did not have that option.

This caused pipes to ‘bang,’ when faucets were closed. He added a full-water-circuit attenuator to bring inbound water pressure back to ‘nominal’ flow-rates.$ In addition, he traced my fridge icemaker banging , to a clogged water filter in my fridge ice-maker (changed it out and no more noisy-ice).Thorough Work: “I’ll leave when this is complete, not just at 5 o’clock.”And Fast Work: Initial estimate was that these repairs might take 4-5 days. They were done in 3 days. Note to home-owners: (YMMV)Minimal cleanup:$ Each day after the work was done, he cleaned up the dust and debris, and left the place looking better than it had, when he showed up. (My bad: My house-keeping skills are ‘less than optimal.’)Ample post-installation support: Called me back twice after the initial install; “Everything still OK?”$ YEP!Bottom Line: Great work / On-time / within budget / Few post install problems; and all of them resolved!I Highly Recommend Brian’s work, and his work ethic! Benjamin Franklin Plumbing responds to calls for emergencies, repairs, and replacement better than others. I had a broken valve from the main water line into my condo. This company was able to send a technician out right away. Mr. Chad Baldwin displayed professionalism, politeness, and was very courteous. He repaired the broken water valve and also corrected the drywall hole around the valve to make it a straight edge which I appreciated. He also replaced my huge water heater with a small on-demand water heater. Later I asked for him when I needed to replace my very old 15 inch high toilets. I was impressed with the work from start to finish with all these projects. He finishes up by making the area look as if he wasn’t even there, clean as a whistle. Chad’s workmanship is exceptional.

I had a major leak develop on an outside faucet on Sunday before the 4th of July. I knew it was going to be a major issue. A friend recommended Ben Franklin. I contacted them on Sunday night and was told they would be out Monday between 8-11. I got a call shortly after 8 the technician would be on the way soon and Sean arrived before 9. He was both professional and personable. I showed him the issue and he explained the planned repair. I realized I had another faucet that was in almost the same. Sean agreed it was almost as bad, so we replaced both. In a bit he said he was complete. 100% perfect repair. As my home is older, I decided it was worth doing their plan (although I usually avoid those, but the value is worth it in theirs). I asked what would have happened if they had needed to maybe open a wall for the repair and found they can do the entire job. One stop shopping is great.
