    I chose “Got Watts” to install my solar system which had been recommended by my friends.From the beginning to the end I have experienced the best service I could imagine. Sam, who arrived first and was a solar specialist, explained patiently what we would need and how long the entire process with take in several different stages. She was knowledgeable, professional, without being pushy to purchase the system. Next employee of “GW” who was responsible for the design of the system was Chris who with the help of drone assessed position of panels, location of a Powerwall and Gateway. He sat down with us and with an excellent knowledge explained everything to us. Two months later, the electric and roof crews arrived and within 2and1/2 days installed panels, battery and controlling system. The electrical crew ( Brian, Wayne and Brandon (?)) and roof crew ( led by Justine) were working efficiently, clean and finished their work in timely manner. At the end, the company electrical inspector, Mark, finalized all electrical connections, introduced us to the Tesla application and was waiting for the city inspector to finalized the operation of the solar system. It was was a such pleasant experience to observe his excellent electrical and computer skills.I need to mention all people from the office who communicated with us during the whole work. Lindsay, Mallory, Jenn and Dan, who provided all documents, invoices and scheduling were above and beyond.At the last, Jeremy, the owner, met us and thanked for choosing his company. We assured him that selecting his team was the best decision we could make and we’ll definitely recommend his company to whoever wants to install the solar power system

    Just turned on our solar panels (18 400-watts ea) and back up batteries from Got Watts Electric in Concord. The process from start to finish was easy. And the “Got Watts Electric” team was really amazing. Incredible customer service, electrical expertise, installation, and follow-up. I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of going solar!

    I had a great experience adding backup batteries to my existing home solar system with Got Watts. Very clear communication from the office and on-site staff. All interactions were professional and courteous. The system itself looks great and appears to be a very clean install.Shoutout to Sam at the office for handling most of the communication, Chris for the initial site inspection, Brian and Wayne for the install, Eldridge for facilitating the inspection, and Marc for commissioning the system and dealing with Enphase. All staff were great to work with.My only complaint is that the electricians left a ton of small debris after the install like bits of wire, metal parts, and drywall dust. Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume this was an oversight, but I wish I didnt have to clean up after them.

    We did the full boat of solar and HVAC with Got Watts Electric. As with any retrofit project there were challenges but Got Watts stuck with it and resolved the issues. The system works perfectly and in the end what more could you ask for?

    Outstanding customer service and focus. Got Watts is the only company that I’ve worked with in the Bay Area that I implicitly trust. They installed solar panels, a water heater, heat pump, and electrical upgrades at our house. We had a massive malfunction with out HVAC, and they were out to our house within hours to remediate the problem. I’m so happy with them, you will be too.

    Got Watts installed solar panels on my roof in 2022 and I decided to add batteries in 2024. I called Sam Moore and she informed me that Got Watts was now certified to install Tesla batteries and that is what she recommended. Based on my electric usage, she recommended two Tesla batteries. A month later, Danny and Brian did a great job installing the new batteries and showing me how to use the Tesla app for the new batteries. Then Marc reviewed the install and coordinated the inspection with the city of Oakland. Marc also reviewed the Tesla app and made some changes to some of the default setting, which enhanced my understanding of the Tesla app.Everyone I interacted with was professional and knowledgeable. The work is first class. I highly recommend Got Watts.

    We’ve had our GotWatts solar system for almost two years and we are thrilled with their products/service, and happily endorse the company.Our design specialist Sam listened to our needs and helped us design the perfect system. She was very knowledgeable and offered us several different options and explained the cost/benefits of each.Our project manager Lindsay communicated proactively as issues arose and was very responsive when we had questions.All the workers who came to our house were courteous and professional. They appeared to take great pride in their work and it shows.We have been powering our two EVs with solar and meeting all our home needs with the 25 panels and 10kWh battery.

    Got Watts installed our HVAC system 4 years ago and the experience has been exceptional end to end, but I want to specially highlight the incredible customer service of their HVAC project manager, Eric Schaefer. He is a total gem of a human. I don’t think I’ve ever before encountered someone who brings such deep dedication, expertise and integrity to their profession. Despite having completed the install nearly 4 years ago, he still comes in person regularly to help do repairs, upgrade systems, and spends countless hours with us in the sweltering heat fixing random things like WiFi connectivity issues. Beyond that, he is always available by phone and text to help me troubleshoot various issues we’ve encountered due to being a house in the hills which gets drastic temperature changes, loss of power, and various other issues that negatively impact our HVAC system. He has come to our rescue with a generator when we were without power for days, and he’s always there to help us when we need them. If you’re looking to engage with an incredible small business where you’ll be fully taken care of by smart, honest and committed people, I couldn’t recommend Eric or Got Watts more highly.

    I interviewed several solar companies before choosing Got Watts. One reason for our decision was that when I called to set up an appointment, the president of the company took time to talk to me, rather than a sales consultant. We were under a deadline to get our application approved before NEM2 expired. They worked with us to file quickly to meet the deadline. I was really impressed with how easy it is to communicate with the company. I am always able to reach a live person, or get a call back within minutes. During installation, because we were installing a new roof at the same time, we run into an issue which their engineers resolved to our satisfaction within 24 hours. Very impressive! Good company, good team, and teamwork with homeowners and the roofers.

    Got Watts has done two projects for us. Both times the technicians were friendly, knowledgeable and on time. Brian was our main technician both times. He did good work, and the prices are fair. The office staff is super efficient in setting up appointments and getting invoices sent out. Because our second project was less than $1,999, Got Watts charged us a service fee. The reason is they prefer not to do small projects. However, even with the fee, we felt Got Watts is a very good value.

After the initial quote, they gave me multiple options, and responded to my questions promptly with additions & changes.     Got Watts? Replaced our old gas heater with a new heat pump. Also redid our duct work as the old one didnt really transfer any air. The workmanship and communication were great. Highly recommend if looking to have HVAC done.Personal call outs - Eric who came out to do the initial consultation was really informative and always willing to fix things.The installation staff - Jedd, Ben, Lee, and LC all were efficient, answered all our questions, and did a great job on installation.Tina the admin was super responsive and was great at coordinating and communicating.Highly recommend the company!

    Got Watts installed an EV charger in our garage. Their price was 1/2 the cost of our other estimates, they examined our electrical capacity, took care of permits, and scheduled quickly. The electricians were right on time, pleasant and cleaned up everything. Most important, they spent hours under ( a very tight crawl space!) and over our home laying the cable to avoid the need to puncture our walls. Above and beyond: they helped us connect the software to the charging app to our phones. I’m very impressed with this company and the electricians we had the pleasure to work with and would recommend them without hesitation!!

    This is a review after 1-year since installation.These guys are great.They upgraded two of my electrical panels and coordinated with PG&E to increase my service to 200 amps. The project was done by friendly and professional tradesmen without delay or issue.Then they install 25-solar panels and my home charging island for my electric car.BUT, prior to the solar panel installation I needed a new roof. Got Watts gave me three roofing companies they recommend as roofing contractors.The work was coordinated by the Team at Got Watts and the roof system (ridge ventilation, gutters, etc.) and the solar panel hardware, interconnections, and software are amazing.     As a small business owner, I always appreciate it when I see a company that just seems to understand how to deliver great product AND great customer service. Got Watts is exactly that kind of company! We hired them to do our Solar installation, and had a fantastic experience all the way through. The install required several visits, as well as coordination with inspectors etc., and Got Watts did an outstanding job of explaining steps and respecting our schedule, so we always knew where we were in the project and what to expect.     We had previously worked with GotWatts to get our solar panels installed and decided to work with them again to get our Enphase 5P home battery back up installed. We have a more complex set up given that our garage and main house are separate buildings. GotWatts wasn’t the cheapest option but provided competitive pricing and the best design options and quality service to solve our needs. Very happy with the results and bonus points for getting it all done before the end of 2023 calendar year. Highly recommend them for solar and battery back up solutions!

    These guys have been amazing! We used them on a fairly substantial project where we replaced our entire HVAC system with a heat pump-based setup, water heater, installed solar, and, replaced a good portion of our electrical throughout our house. The installer crew (Sean)ran the conduit internally for no extra charge which we were very happy with. The front office handled any questions we had.     The team at Got Watts Electric did a great job delivering my new rooftop solar system. Samantha, the Solar Specialist, is knowledgeable and was patient answering all of my, sometimes basic, questions. She was very helpful and pleasant redoing my design several times to address my concerns and preferences. Lindsay, the Operations Manager, held my hand every step of the way and was quite responsive to all my inquiries. During the site assessment Troy took the time to point out electrical flaws that were beyond the scope of the solar project. The panel installation crew, Jeremy, Isaac, Blake and Daniel, did a terrific job on the roof and allowed me to watch them on the roof while they worked. The electricians, Daniel and Pablo were a pleasure as well. They explained what they were doing and why. After meeting the county inspector for permit approval, Mark took the time to walk me through the Enphase monitoring and control application along with troubleshooting and the best ways to get support if there is a problem in the future. We even discussed options to improve the system network connection if it should be needed.Everyone I met from Got Watts was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant.     I used Got Watts for my solar install. My case was a bit complicated.. Tesla solar guys made a mockery of the proposal process initially. I then reached out to Got Watts. From the iterations on the proposal and design, install, inspection, to post-install follow up, Got Watts team was simply awesome- both efficient and friendly every step of the way.     I recently had rooftop solar and an EV outlet installed by Got Watts, who was recommended to me by my brother-in-law. I had an excellent experience with this company. Not only did they offer me the best price, but they walked me through each step of the installation process at my own pace. I never felt pressured and they were always more than happy to answer my technical questions. The initial conversations were handled by Sam, who provided me instructions on how to collect my past energy usage from PG&Es website. After collecting this data, Sam helped me determine the size of the array (i.e., number of panels) needed to offset my expected electricity costs. I asked many questions throughout this initial design phase and Sam was either able to answer my questions outright or quickly found someone within Got Watts who had the necessary knowledge (Lindsay, specifically, who helped answer my finance questions).The design phase and permitting process was made a bit more complicated due to some extra restrictions enacted by PG&E. The engineering team led by Dan had to make some adjustments to my design after the permits were received. I was impressed by Dans initiative in reaching out to me on several occasions to walk me through the re-design options.The installation took place over the course of two days. On Day 1 the electrical team, consisting Travis and Omar (both of whom were fantastic) laid conduit and wiring near my electricity meter and in the attic in advance of the panel installation team, who began their work at the end of the first day. The entire array was installed at the end of Day 2 and a few days later a Got Watts team member (whose name I do not recall, but he was also very nice and knowledgeable) met a Contra Costa County official for the final inspection of the system.Monitoring the production of my new solar array is also very easy. Got Watts uses Enphase inverters whose current and historical performance I can monitor through web portal.Overall, my experience with Got Watts was very positive. Based on the excellent price and great service, Id highly recommend Got Watts for anyone interested in solar or other electrical upgrades.

    Yep, 5 stars, let me tell you why!My background is 15+ years of design and Project Managing in Mechanical, Electrical, Piping & Technology (MEP/T) at firms in San Francisco and the last three years of hands on PMing in the Land Mobile Radio industry on large projects. So I kind of know what I am talking about when it comes to reviewing my solar install with Got Watts. Enough about me, let me tell you about my great Got Watts project and experience.It was time to actually get solar installed so I did the typical Yelp thing, and requested a quote/contact via Yelp and shotgunned it out to a bunch of companies. Insert your standard review quotes, bid leveling, talking to contractors and such, and at the end I was impressed with Got Watts sales representative, Sam Moore and the Got Watts proposal. Her proposal was simple, clean, yet technical and detailed with all the info one would need to evaluate. Based on this proposal, their great Yelp review, years in business, valid B General Building Contractor, C10 Electrical, C20 HVAC and C46 Solar, I made my decision to go with Got Watts.From then on the process was super smooth.In Person Site Survey= Professional and smooth. Chris was out and walked though Sams original design, validated the spaces on the roof and reviewed with me on site. One thing I especially liked about Got Watts proposal is all the conduit from the solar arrays is run INSIDE the attic. There are no conduits running over my roof, nothing wrapping around the eves, it is all hidden inside the attic. It looks good!Final quote and contract = Discovered my houses electrical entrance was too old and too small for solar. We needed to add a bigger entrance panel, but since Got Watts is a full C10 electrical contractor, they were able to roll that directly into the project. Contract was laid out clearly, stated all the details, all the pricing clearly and the terms were standard.Project Kick off and Management = Detailed, verbose, personable and hands on. Before the contract was signed Sam introduced me to the project team with Lindsay Altman taking the lead on the install process. Right as the project kicks off, Lindsay sends out a very detailed email with all the steps for the project, when to expect certain emails and letters from PG&E, the solar supplier, the financing company, etcetera. Super detailed and gives you an instant overview of the whole project, when the home owner has to do things, when PG&E might do things and when Got Watts will do things.The Install and the Install Crew = Professional, on the ball and easy to work with.These guys rocked the install so much so I asked for their names so I could personally recognize them of their work. Justin Bennett, Jeremy Leatherman, James McCaslin and Alexander Wollschläger all worked on my project, were great, helpful and fun to work with. Now being a Cat Lord myself we have to give a shout out to Alexs cats Loaf, Baguette and Croissant who were honorary mascots along with my cats Automat Kalashnikov (Auto), Ophelia (Fifi) and Claire.Since I had to have a full meter and panel board replaced, the install crew scheduled with PG&E for a very tight integration. PG&E fully removed the lines coming to our house, James and team had the new panel in, new mast with weather head, all new conductors in and then had PG&E back on site and our power on fast. They offered to set up their generator to keep the fridge and such powered up, but it was so fast we did not need to.So while I was actively involved in the project, it was because I am curious and interested in how things work. The great Got Watts team, including the President Jeremy and the VP Troy Carlock take a hands on approach, with Jeremy answering my technical questions, and Troy finishing the final inspection. Regardless of your technical level, I think Got Watts with take great care of you and your solar project.

    My wife and I decided to install Solar to our home this year and after some research as well as a recommendation from our daughter, we chose Got Watts to handle the Solar Installation. We could not have been happier with our selection from start to finish the staff in the office, namely Samantha, Lindsay and Mallory were awesome, professional and spot on with their customer service. Once construction began, we were very impressed with Danny and Tyler who handled all the new wiring that was necessary and the panel installers, Justin, Jeremy and Isaac were brought a lot of fun to the installation. Lastly, Marc came by to handle the inspection with the city building inspector and needless to say we passed with flying colors. All in all, I cant say enough good things about Got Watts and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone that is looking to install solar or just needs electrical work done in their home! I got a professional estimate for an in-person walkthrough that was very fair. I quickly was able to set up an appointment within a week for my work. The workers came on time and professional gave me a text. I got a reminder phone call to confirm the work was coming to my home for the next day. Which I really appreciate this kind of communication. The office staff is excellent and also the electricians came in. They didnt excellent job explaining what they had to be done. They called in to verify any questions or any equipment needed.     When thinking about adding solar I spoke to many companies. While overall cost was part of the decision, I value other things like communication, workmanship, the team, overall support levels. Gott Watts excelled in all of these categories. They were not the cheapest but they also were not the most expensive. Its now been a whole year since they installed and their commitment to support has reaffirmed my decision to go with them.

    Had an excellent experience with this company. I had another electrician come out and totally try to scam me. Told me no parts available, would have to replace the entire box for $100k +, these guys came out, found the parts needed and fixed me up like new. Did what they said they were going to at a reasonable price, and even accomodated doing the work on a weekend (for an extra price, which is totally reasonable). Can not recommend them enough.

    I called Got Watts on a friends referral after learning that we had to apply for our Solar system NEM-2 PG&E interconnection by the April 13 deadline to achieve greater payback. I spoke with Sam Moore, Solar Specialist, on December 30. We had a system design, cost, and schedule by January 3, and Chris, their site inspector, had assessed our site by the 9th. We signed the final contract by the 12th. From there, Got Watts and their engineering and operations team members completed design, procurement, permitting/interconnection applications by February 15th, two months ahead of the deadline. We constructed on February 23-25 and received our City inspection on the 13th of March. Our system is ready and waiting only for PG&E approval to operate. This couldnt have happened so quickly without the efforts of Lindsay Altman, Operations, Daniel Harrold, Project Manager, Mallory Erwin, Coordinator, Alexandre Wollschlaeger, Electrician, Cody, apprentice, and many other craft personnel. Everyone was friendly, punctual, productive, and very professional. We were so impressed that we awarded them our HVAC project as well.

    We needed a simple NEMA 14-50 run 30 feet from our panel in the garage to charge our car. We got two quotes. Got Watts not only had the lower quote, but Jeremy was far more informative regarding the options and materials they would use. They sent one of their technicians who performed the installation exactly as described.     Ace and Brian did a great job. Our kitchen ceiling doesnt have attic access and so they had to cut into the drywall to install the fixtures. We are very happy with our new lights... much brighter and sleeker than our outdated 70s fixtures. Ace and Brian also took the time to drape our cabinets and countertops, put a dropcloth down in the hall and kitchen, and even vacuumed up afterwards. Also, this was our first time installing recessed lights, and we had quite a few questions during the estimate process. Shelby was very patient with us, gave us the information we needed, and provided updated estimates as we figured out what we needed.

    First, let me state the normal cliché, I don’t write a lot of reviews. In this case though, I felt compelled because of the excellent professional service Troy Carlock of Got Watts Electric gave me. A bit of background now, it started with my wife waking me up in the middle of the night, to tell me the power was out. I of course mumbled that its probably temporary in the area of where we live, and go back to sleep. She further nudged me and said, it’s just our house. Of course, I thought she was crazy, but I got up and lo and behold after walking outside on our court, our house was the only house with no power. Our lines are underground, so I saw nothing obvious to tell me what was wrong. I went to the side yard where the PG&E smart meter was located, and with a flashlight, determined, the meter was working fine. I then checked the main house breaker and found it was tripped to the middle position, it felt warm to the touch. I tried to reset the breaker, but it required quite a bit of strength to throw. Not knowing if this was a normal mode of operation for the breaker, I had visions of resetting the breaker and then being blown back against the fence, but in the movies you just get up and in real life, you are either seriously injured or dead. Getting out my phone I Googled 24 hour emergency electricians, and found Got Watts Electric, they advertised 24 hour service in my area. Got an answering service, after getting some pertinent information transferred my call to Troy. He was very professional, asked questions in a way that was not demeaning, and was eventually at my house within 30 minutes. Not bad for 12:30 in the morning. He was able to finally reset the breaker, did an on the spot load test to check the current load at the moment. Then he went into the house and inspected the house breaker panel for any issues. During the whole time he was incredibly professional, the main point is that I never felt pressured or ill at ease (what bad news he going to find about my wiring, how much extra will this be) that you get with a lot of contractors. Nothing made up or phony, no hard sell here. Basically the breaker tripped, probably just due to age. He said he could replace it, but did not feel it warranted it at the moment, and if this happens again, just give him a call at that point. Needless to say, I slept well that night. He also gave me a courtesy call the next day to just check in and see if everything was okay.

    Got Watts has helped me twice and both experiences were stellar. The first job was to check the electrical systems when we were purchasing our home. Troy came by to complete an evaluation and he was thorough and efficient. He made sure to point out a socket that needed to be replaced which we had the seller take care of before moving in. Troy also made sure to look in the attic and verify that there was no knob and tube wiring. He went the extra step to make sure the electrical was truly up to the required standards.The second time was when we put in our air conditioner. Got Watts handled all of the electrical required for the new unit. They were extremely fast, but they never cut corners. I was impressed with the level of professionalism and knowledge, not only with Troy and Jeremy, but their entire team.I have also worked with Shelby in the office and she is friendly, diligent and astute. She immediately helped me get an appointment to coincide with the AC installation and she kept me informed each step of the way.Overall, they do quick, clean work and each member of the team is a true professional.
