I have used Dunn Electrical Service for many years now and they were the natural choice to install a whole house backup generator. The dispatcher Iyla is a cheerful person and she assigned a couple of excellent electricians (Tony Ruiz and his assistant Wyatt) to assess my needs and gave me confidence that using DES was the best choice. The installation went well, with few delays. I am pleased with the end result and the aesthetics look very professional. I would recommend DES to anyone who wants their job Dunn Right!

I’m really impressed with our electrician, Sean from DES. He came out first time in July 2023 to put in dedicated line for our stair lift in the garage. Very knowledgeable and friendly and didn’t mind me looking over his shoulder. Answered any questions I had even the ones that didn’t make sense. Came out today to install a security camera floodlight. Didn’t mind helping me hook up to it since I’m the worse on installing stuff on my phone. I feel like he’s a credit DES. Thanks

Called DES with an electrical issue and same day, Sean & Wyatt showed up and fixed it. Both Sean & Wyatt were friendly, helpful and explained things at my level of understanding.Do not hesitate to call on DES for assistance in electrical repairs.Update to 8/15 Sean and Preston came to replace my outdated indoor & outdoor electrical panel. Although I anticipated being without electricity all day, but they worked very efficiently and had power returned in 7-8 hours. After the install on day 2, the new indoor panel was labeled according to each room. In addition, fire alarms were placed as well. Sean & Preston answered any questions I had. Once again Dunn Electrical provided outstanding service. Dont hesitate to give them a call.

Dunn Electrical Service has never let me down and today was no exception. The temperature was in the mid-nineties and the electrical power went off. When my older generator failed to kick in I didnt know what to do. I called DES and they went above and beyond. Allen and Wyatt came out in the hottest part of the day and worked to figure out the problem and solutions. Allen came up with multiple options on the issue. DES is on my speed dial!!! Wonderful experience, kind employees, fast service.I had a contractor who did completed a kitchen and master bath remodel. Throughout the process I got the feeling something wasn’t right with the lights because of 5 dead switches. I called Dunn electric to come out and check the electrical to fix the switches. Seth came out and did a quick inspection and provided photo evidence that the wires in my attic for the lights were messy and nothing was up to code. It was a fire hazard. He wrote us up a quote quickly and even schedule the time to fix it immediately. Seth, Chris, and Allen were kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. They took their time to rewire more than 20 lights and make sure all my light switches worked, as well as explain everything to me. I couldn’t be more pleased with the crew that came out to my house.

We had Tony wire up our new range hood vent. He had to reposition the existing electrical outlet in order for the vent fan cord to reach. I would never have thought of doing this but it worked out great.Prior to this I was just about ready to install under cabinet LED puck lights, the kind you buy at the big box stores. When I mentioned this to Tony he suggested under cabinet LED light strips instead. I agreed and he proceeded to do a super neat installation of them. The LED light strips were very bright and we could see each light reflected in the counter top. Tony thankfully had a solution for that and placed compact diffuser covers over the light strips. These guys installed a hard-wire, non-wifi video doorbell I bought off Amazon for my mothers house. Even though they made me aware in the beginning, that it was the first time for them installing something of this nature. They didnt hinder them in troubleshooting, reading the schematics and figuring out a way to get the result desired.In terms of the install, the two video screens look like they were originally built part of the house and the power is ran into the ceiling/attic. (Instead of running down the wall to an outlet like one electrician told me the only option was)And the price was actually cheaper than a craigslist electrician.There were some hiccups with the custom electric lock, yet the owner eventually took ownership of the problem and came out to the assess the problem and worked towards a solution that would eventually appease everyone.They probably spent more time on this than they probably wanted, lol.Yet, great job overall.

I recently contracted Dunn Electric to install an emergency generator, remove, rewire and replace an outdated fuse panel and combine two electric meters into one, in my two story home which was built in 1931. Any major work in an older home requires a certain kind of skill/finesse to accommodate for the building practices,additions and various changes which were made over the years. The technicians at Dunn made numerous trips to my home taking photos, drawing prospective plans and working with me in their ideas. The result of their numerous visits yielded three possible generator choices, including the cost for each. The choices were very easy to understand and I made my selection immediately.The installation began on a Tuesday, all the work that required electrical shutdown was completed that day. The next three days involved running electrical cable through the cellar, men working on the placing of the generator and pad, placing switching boxes, emergency lights, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in the house and many other details. The last day we had the gas piped to the generator, tested it, it ran beautifully and the final test - we shut off power to the house- the generator
