Have been working with reveal almost the last year to design and build our roofdeck and backyard area. It was a longer process because reveal took the time to edit plans until we had one that fit both our budgets and the functionality we were looking for. As issues arose (which I’m sure every construction project has issues), they were able to pivot with creative ideas that may have actually made the space better than originally planned. All of the crews that were onsite were very clean and respectful. Everyone in the company had been a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend reveal design.

We love our new backyard deck/s (3 different levels) which has now turned into an active extension of our home. The space is lived in 9+ months out of year with an additional living space, heaters, and privacy.Reveal has top of the line products in addition to the fact we were able to design our own metal gate and panel to create a beyond customize look and feel.They are professional and easy to work with. We are happy with our deck renovation.

Absolutely fantastic in all phases of design, project management and implementation. When we wanted a garage roof deck / pergola, we visited the usual suspects in the city but were not completely sold on any of them, whether it was pricing, design or communications from owners. Reveal Design was a breath of fresh air. Straight-forward, transparent with no hard sell - everyone we dealt with was professional from the owner to designer to installer. And the results were spectacular. So much so that we had them install our outdoor kitchen with equally great results. We will use them again - highly recommended.

We worked with Bree for the design of our backyard space. Shes organized, responsive, kind, thoughtful and so easy to work with. Being in the city, there isnt much of a footprint to work with. Bree listed to what was important to us and designed a thoughtful use of that space in a creative way.I have so much more room out there than before! We now have an outdoor kitchen complete with smoker and grill. A fire table, couch, outdoor table, screen design for our AC unit, stamped concrete and a vertical garden. Its so beautiful and comfortable with the pergola equipped with outdoor heater and fan. Its perfect, we love it and cannot wait until our next project with Bree.

We have had great experiences with Reveal Design! We first started working with Sean and Reveal 1.5 years ago, based on recommendations from several friends. Sean and his team expertly transformed our roof deck, turning it into an oasis that included lighting, heaters, a pergola with a retractable roof, and landscaping. We went from a nice, but plain, roof deck to a space that feels like an exclusive outdoor lounge (exactly the vibe we were aiming for). We were so pleased with the outcome that we didnt even ponder using another firm when we redid our front yard this spring. Sean and his team are truly experts in all things related to outdoor spaces: landscaping, hardscaping, lighting, structures such as pergolas, and more. Along the way, Sean was personally available to us and always willing to hop on a call to discuss anything related to our project. With these two projects behind us, he still continues to be available to answer questions we have. When we decide what our next project will be, without a doubt, we will be reaching out to Sean.

We first worked with Reveal Design in 2023 when Sean designed both our front garden (which had previously been referred to as the dirt patch) and our back deck. Before meeting with Sean, we had worked with another designer who had taken exactly what we had thought we wanted and created a design that ultimately proved uninstallable and boy are we glad that was the case. We gave Sean a vague sense of what we were looking for, how we planned to use the space, and a few must haves (like creating a snow cover on our back deck) and he ran with it! I could never have envisioned the beautiful design he came up with, but as soon as we saw it we fell in love.During the installation and design process, Sean and his team were very communicative and organized and checked with us at each decision point. Even though they were there working every day and both my husband and I work from home, they were so quiet and respectful we barely noticed they were there (except for the glorious garden and deck that they were leaving behind). Sean also came to the site periodically to check on the progress and spotted small fixes I would never have noticed. At the end of the day, our garden and deck were truly stunning but more importantly they were comfortable and usable spaces that jived with and enhanced the interior of our home - a true room outside.Fast forward to 2024 and we had found a new home that was not fully built yet. Nearly the first thing that we did was to tell the developer for the new house that he could tell his landscaper to kick bricks because we were only interested in working with Reveal once again! Sean immediately made time in his schedule for us and, once again, produced an absolute banger of a design for our front yard, garage deck, roof deck, and (my favorite) our glass-enclosed atrium. Much like the first time, the design and installation process have been a joy and we are so happy to once again be living in a Reveal Design garden!Dont bother talking to anyone else, Reveal Design is the best in Chicago! Your garden will thank you.

One of our house goals coming out of the pandemic was to improve our outdoor space. We wanted a modern space with clean design that would complement our property aesthetic, and would also allow us to comfortably entertain through as much of the year as possible. When we were ready to move ahead with the work, we did our research on the landscape design firms in Chicago and ultimately chose to work with Reveal Design.Reveal did a comprehensive site survey of our space, including a sun study, to determine what design would make the best use of the space while keeping us comfortable throughout different times of day. They ultimately designed a beautiful wood and steel pergola with heaters and lights that shelters our sofa and chairs, which are arranged around a gas-powered fire table. Around the perimeter of the space, they included a fountain and climbing plants that beautifully highlight the pergola. The automatic lighting enhances the overall look of the space and allows us to use the space well into the evening. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.Bree and her team were thorough and responsive throughout the project planning, keen to ensure our complete satisfaction. The next time we have an outdoor project, we will certainly contact Reveal Design.
