    100% highest possible recommendation.Bob (the owner) was easy to work with and was able to get us taken care of quickly. Our hot water heater busted overnight on a Friday and we were able to get a new one installed Saturday.The installers Kyle and Aaron were great. Super friendly and professional, and the area was left much cleaner than how they found it. They also wanted to take time to meet our dogs. Just very nice guys and they did great work.I dont know much about pricing but this seemed fair, especially for an emergency weekend job.I know this all sounds hyperbolic but we were just very impressed with this company.

    My guy was a little bit late because he had to go get supplies at a different store than expected.     I read many of the five star reviews and hoped it was true. A plumbing team that confirms an appointment, gives reasonable estimates there on the spot AND then shows up to do the work professionally and as promised - wow I only wish I found other trades like Bob and the guys.     Loyal customer for over 10 years.I recently had a smell coming from my bathroom which I thought was sewer gases due to a possible blockage. I called McHughs and they found instead a broken old pipe underneath my tub that was leaking water onto the insulation in the wall. The fix was not easy...remove the existing tub and surrounding tile, hammer into the concrete slab where the drain pipe is and replace everything, including the tub, concrete and fixtures.Like always the plan came with options and they did their best to save me money. My new tub is great and the color and size I wanted. The plumbers were professional and nice and respectful of my property. Ive been using and referring McHughs for years now and I will continue to do so in the future.

    I cant say enough great this about this company!! Bob, the owner, was Johnny on the spot when I called on Monday about several leaky faucets. He did a thorough inspection and explained all of my options to fix -- not only the faucets -- but some other areas that I have neglected in my 24 years in my house. He didnt try to sell me anything, but merely told me what was going on and the process of how he and his team would fix it. The team that came, Kyle, Jake and Hunter, were thorough and professional and explained things to me. Plus they liked my dog :) When I changed my mind about the 2 faucets I had selected, Bob, went to great lengths to find me the ones I really wanted. Everything looks great and Im happy!     My wife and I have been working with Bob and his crew at McHughs Plumbing for over 15 years ( theyve been working with my parents for even longer at their homes). They truly are the only Plumbing Service that I have saved in my phone. Every time we have used their services for maintenance or repairs, it has been exceptional.Recently we needed two bathroom faucets replaced. Bob came to the house the end of last week to take a look and make his recommendations and give us a quote. We trusted him to pick out fixtures that were similar to what we had but updated. Bob gave us a quote within a day and chose fixtures almost exactly like what we would have picked ourselves - which saved us time and helped to get the job done quickly. There are only a few businesses like McHughs where I would put that kind of trust in.Bob sent Kyle out to our house today for the installations. Kyle, like all of Bobs employees, was extremely professional and kind. He explained everything he was doing and did excellent work. Its always a little uncomfortable when somebody you dont know is doing work for you in your home... but Ive never had that feeling with Bob or any of his staff.So today I wanted to acknowledge excellent service from McHughs Plumbing (for today all those times before).

    Bob McHugh, his company, and team of plumbers did an unbelievable job repairing my gas line and replacing all of the piping on my side of the gas meter. Their professionalism, responsiveness, attention to detail, and quality of work was unlike anything I have ever experienced with a plumbing company before.     Mchugh plumbing was great to work with. We were referred to them through STS septic repair when we were purchasing a house in order to evaluate the sewer pipe extending from the house to the septic tanks which was about 60ft or so. They provided the diagnostic scope at a reasonable price and with quick timing. We also asked them to evaluate the distribution boxes in the leech field that hadn’t been investigated in 30+ years after we closed on the house. They scheduled to come out pretty quick and were able to do their evaluation without us being onsite. They ended up charging us about half what their initial estimate was since they did the job in half the timeThe owner is a very nice and responsive man. He articulates his thoughtful assessments and is readily available through text. We look forward to continue to work with his company for future plumbing needs.

    McHugh’s crew does good work. We’ve hired them for interior and exterior drain line replacement, and have recommended them to friends for bathroom work and sump pump repair. They are often busy, so it can take a minute to get them on the job if you don’t have an emergency situation. But I’m happy to wait a little for work that I can trust and is not overpriced.

    I cannot say enough good things about McHughs Plumbing. I had a great initial appointment with Bob the owner who was incredibly friendly and did not push any services on me. He was educational and talked me through things I may need to get fixed in the future even if I didnt go with his team. His team has since come out twice to my house, and the work they did was phenomenal. They are friendly, efficient, and clean. Bob also followed up right away on the work. I had another issue come up unrelated to their work, and Bob sent someone out right away to check on it. Each interaction with their team has felt calming--especially when we all know that plumbing issues are anything but calming. Great team and I cannot recommend them enough.

    We had a plumbing emergency on Saturday night at midnight and had to shut off all of the water to our house.  We called McHughs Plumbing that night and Bob answered the phone immediately.     If you want fast and friendly service done right, call McHughs.We had two recent plumbing emergencies (unrelated to each other, just bad luck)!     When I reached out to a Facebook group asking for recommendations Mchughs came highly reccomended. I called and had the city come out first to check if it was a problem from the street sewer. While waiting on them I spoke to the owner on the phone and he had me try a couple diagnostic things to pinpoint what the problem was. We realized it was a clog so where in the sewer. They city came and said they saw a clog closer to the house and had me turn on the sink in the laundry room and then told me it had flushed itself out. Then Monday came and it the toilet was leaking again. Mchugh’s came out within 40 minutes of my call and had pictures taken and had it unclogged within a half hour. They also found that the last company we had come out broke part of their drain snake and left it in our sewer pipe….that is what was causing the constant blockages. We had an issue again that following week and they came right out first thing in the morning on a Saturday and fixed the problem again. The kindness and knowledge of this company is top notch. I was having financial problems at the time and the owner was so kind and understanding. This family owned business will always be the one I call for any plumbing I need in the future. Highly recommend you give them a try!

    We’ve used McHugh’s in the past because we were pleased with their services. They did not disappoint us this time. We had a list of plumbing issues that needed to be addressed such as a toilet that would run, leaking faucets and a kitchen sink that was driving me mad with its “glug, glug” sound. All were fixed to our satisfaction and my sink is now quietly draining. Yeah! As we are seniors we chose to have our toilet replaced rather than fixed because we wanted to go to the higher profile model.All work was completed professionally and efficiently. The two young men who did the jobs, Hunter and Kyle, were polite, friendly and respectful of our furnishings. They laid down tarps to walk on, in addition to wearing shoe covers.Overall, we will hire McHugh’s again if we need them.

    McHughs Plumbing is excellent! Our kitchen line backed up over Christmas. Roto Rooter came first but was not able to clear the line and claimed we had a hole in our plumbing that needed a major excavation in our basement to resolve. A neighbor recommended Bob McHugh, so we called him for a second opinion. When he arrived, he was able to diagnose the issue and resolve it without any excavation. The previous plumber had simply been wrong (or dishonest) about the problem. There was no hole. Not only that, but in diagnosing the issue, Bob discovered a leak in our water heater that had previously gone unseen. We just hadnt noticed it (despite it being quite visible), and the other plumber hadnt bothered to look. Bob ultimately fixed our kitchen line and improved it for future use for a fraction of the cost that was being quoted by Roto Rooter, and he caught another issue, which saved us from a potential flood in our basement. Very honest, thorough, and reasonable. Highly recommend!

    I have used the services of Bob McHugh and his team for many years now for routine stuff around the house. They never fail to impress and exceed expectations. This was a large job involving replacing 30 feet of 6 storm sewer pipe that had massive root intrusion damage from a 36-year old sweetgum tree. They completed the job in two days and coordinated with my landscaper, who was already planning some work, so that the handoff was smooth. The final step of the process was to run a camera down the pipe all the way to the street hook-up, and all was clear. The process went smoothly, from getting the permits, doing the excavation work, laying the new pipe, coordinating with the city inspector, to returning the dirt. Oh yeah, and cleaning up AND coming in under their original budgeted quote! Well done, team McHugh!
