Southern Air recently installed a new HVAC system w/ furnace at my house. They did a great job! From the thorough initial sales/quote experience with Adam, to the efficient install process, I am very pleased. Their work was quick, yet thorough and everyone was very professional. The only mishap occurred when the warehouse accidentally sent the wrong furnace upon the initial install. They were still able to finish the hvac install so we had cool air. Within about a week they were back with the correct furnace and connected it without issue. I was very pleased with how they responded to this minor hiccup. Our home is back to being cool and comfortable. I would recommend giving them a call.

Southern Air residential HVAC bring their commercial know how and professionalism to the job. I am very happy with the package unit they installed at my 100 year old house. They replaced a 20 year old unit. This one is super efficient and QUIET! The first years maintenance was included.

This my third heating & cooling system purchased from Southern Air of Charlottesville, VA. Past purchases include two new mini-splits and now a new HVAC heat pump system that replaced my 20yr old builder installed system. Adam Phillips, Branch Manager, Charlottesvile earned my business years ago. He is a professional who is trustworthy, knowledgeable and reliable. After identifying my requirements for a replacement system, Adam presented me with the best choice HVAC system. A specific need I had was to get a HVAC system compatible with my load reduction device. Overall, service was excellent and pricing was fair. I will continue to be a Southern Air customer for years to come.

Tried to get our Fiberboard ducts cleaned, and no one would touch them (I now understand why). After receiving 3 unique quotes for replacement from local service providers Southern Air had the most economical solution. The process of adding a generator was seamless from the initial informational meeting through the installation. It did take some time to order the unit and work with the propane company to run the line and hook it up. I had a couple of requirements that needed to be incorporated, and SA was adept at making things work, their team is prompt, professional and polite.

We recently had the priviledge of working with Southern Air for the purchase and installation of a Generac whole house generator. From our initial meeting with Max for the purchase estimate to the installation with Jason, Brad, and JJ, the employees were professional, respectful, courteous, and on time. They obtained the necessary permits and coordinated with the electric company. Installation was completed in less time than we were expecting. We are extremely satisfied with their attention to customer service and attention to detail during the Generac installation.

Sale and installation of Generac whole house backup generator. Southern Air is the premier HVAC contractor in the central Virginia area. When other companies had a six month delay obtaining and installing our generator, Southern Air had anticipated the supply problems and had the full range of generators on hand. They were able to sell, deliver, and install the unit on the ideal schedule. These guys are the best and I will be a full time customer.

We had to replace the dual zone hvac system in our home. We reached out to about 6 different companies to get opinions and quotes. Adam at Southern Air was professional, thorough, and friendly. His quote was not the lowest we got but when we compared the quality of the system to the price, it was by far the best value. They also helped us to fix some hot spots in our home by redoing the duct work. The entire project was started within a week of our committing and they were done in two days. I would recommend highly!

Great team, Adam who quoted us our system was very professional and answered all of our questions and concerns in a very professional manner. Tony and AJ who installed our system were beyond professional and had our system up and running within 3 days and this was a new installation.We do have a couple concerns, 1. The system seems to run much more than our oil heat that we replaced, even though we have the temp set at 65 at night the system seems to run all night long. 2. The installed a vent in a room that we are converting to a pantry and we did not need a vent in this room. We have shut the vent off but we felt that this was an un-needed expense.Overall we are very happy with our new HVAC system and we would choose Southern Air again for our HVAC needs.Charlie and Sam

Another company had said that I needed a coil replaced and gave an outlandish fee for doing so. I called southern and got a good fee and good service. After the coil replacement the tech also found a leak in the line which may have been the real problem all along. Nice people, not crooks like many HVAC.

Had a 37 year old HVAC system needed replacing in a very tight small walk- in cupboard closet. with 2 heating systems and a solar hot water system with many pipes. The workers were patient and professional and after many problem solving hours not only replaced HVAC system but stream lined old system to work more efficiently. We are really happy with our install from Southern Air. First Adam Phillips was so good to work with. He came quickly and knew exactly what was needed. Our installers, AJ and Graham were the best! They were pleasant and friendly, accommodating but most importantly, they were knowledgeable and efficient. Both were mindful of not tracking up the house although they worked in the rain for two of the days they were here. We could not have asked for two nicer young men than these. Sam came quickly when something additional was needed and lastly Stacy in the office was so helpful too, answering our questions and reassuring us when needed. We are definitely pleased with our experience with Southern Air and will recommend them to friends and neighbors in the future.

We hired Southern Air for a complete HVAC system replacement and crawlspace dehumidifier installation. From beginning to end, their service was great. It was a pleasure working with their sales person (Adam). The crew members were efficient and respectful. The only minor complaints would be 1) small cleanliness problems (crew leaving some things laying around) and 2) communication about the operation of the system could have been better. Otherwise, they were outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone.
