I contacted Pat Murphy Electric to troubleshoot a breaker issue at my home. The appointment was quickly scheduled and their pricing structure explained to me up front. Joseph provided a courtesy notification regarding his arrival and arrived on time (actually a few minutes early!). He efficiently and effectively identified the issue and thoroughly explained/showed me his findings and necessary corrective actions before initiating the repair. Joseph communicated very well and was polite and courteous throughout. I’m extremely happy with the service that Pat Murphy Electric provided and will definitely use them for any future electrical needs.

I am so grateful to Joseph & Pat Murphy Electric! I had an outlet catch fire and had to turn power off to my house….in this heat! Within an hour Joseph was here and beautifully installed a new outlet, identified the right breaker and got my power back on! I highly recommend Joseph and Pat Murphy Electric.

We had an issue with our electrical panel, and they were able to dispatch someone within an hour on a hot Friday when other companies were quoting us multiple days to come out. Joseph was very knowledgeable and quickly was able to diagnose our issue. Reasonable dispatch charge as well. Thankful for their help!

Josh, Joseph, and John were excellent for our EV charger install. Originally we had a much bigger job planned but they were upfront and honest about other options and we elected to reschedule portions. We will definitely go back to them for this work. From start to finish, all the staff were excellent and worked hard to accommodate our schedules and the work was perfect with extremely minimal mess and no holes in the walls, which was much more work for them but a huge bonus for us. Would recommend 10/10.

Not only did they fix the problem in great time, they were also extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Matt (a Pat Murphy Electrician) showed up on-time, professional, polite, and personable. Matt provided me a quote based on my initial request of the work I wanted done. After further discussion Matt reviewed the plan and came back to me with another plan that would save me a substantial amount of money. In todays world, that is unheard of with the number of electrical companies in the Charleston area! Matt performed his approach to the project, completed it, saved me money, cleaned up his work area in just a couple hours. The customer service provided by this company from my initial call to schedule, to Matt’s arrival was perfect! Deven was the best electrician I have ever hired. He was extraordinarily professional and helpful.He restored electrical connection to our fridge where I drove a nail through a wire that tripped the circuit, attached an outlet to a circuit, and fixed another faulty outlet.The quote he provided beforehand was 100% accurate. He finished the work in a timely manner, explained what he did thoroughly, and was a trustworthy guy all-around. Would undoubtedly hire again.

I highly recommend Pat Murphy Electric. Deven was able to troubleshoot and fix a number of electrical issues we had. He was very thorough and explained what the issues were and how he was going to fix them. I love that they are available 24 hours. Josh and Joseph from Pat Murphy Electric installed 240 volt receptacle which included running 60 feet of 12-2 wire under the house in crawl space, and replacing unused 50 amp ganged breaker with new 20 amp ganged breakers in breaker box, They showed up at appointed time for estimate , once estimate was accepted they began work immediately, and completed task within 2 hours. These guys were courteous, and highly professional. Their work was exceptional and the cost was most reasonable. I will use them for any further electrical work in my home.

Estimate was not really an estimate but a quote which made me feel Pat Murphy is trustworthy and reliable. I was pleasantly surprised with the year warranty. I called Pat Murphy’s because of an ad and their ratings. I chose Pat Murphy’s because the lady that answered the phone made me feel valued as if I was a family member.
