    Ive had Roy Electric handle several projects for me over the years, and theyve always been top-notch professionals with excellent communication, great results, and competitive prices.For the latest project, Yafer, Spencer, and Jason handled all the electrical upgrades for my kitchen renovation in Durham. They added new outlets, ran wiring for under-cabinet lighting, ran wiring for above-cabinet lighting, and installed the dimmer switches for all the new lighting. They got it all working smoothly, and they patiently answered all my novice questions. Not only that, the final price was *less* than the original estimate!Ill definitely hire Roy Electric again any time I need electric work done, and I highly recommend them any time I hear of someone that needs electric work.

    Felix led the job. Very nice and professional. The ceiling fan replacement went very well. I had tried to install it myself and really made it worse. Felix diagnosed the weird problem quickly and fixed flickering lights in the dining room and converted garage fluorescent lights to LEDs. All with up front pricing. Diagnosed everything just by looking and knowing (except the ceiling fan, but that only took him about 5 minutes). Will definitely use again. All took less than 2 hours.

    Awesome service. I had 3 bad electric switches that needed to be looked into. Felix and Uriel came over (sorry if I misspelled their names).     We had two smoke detectors that started chirping and one was in a room with a vaulted ceiling, which was hard to reach. This was effecting our ability to sleep. We called several other electricians before choosing Roy Electric. They were able to schedule Dalton and Tim the next morning. They arrived early, were completely professional and we couldnt be more pleased. We plan to use them again for a larger project when we move into our new house next month. Excellent service!

They were right on time! They worked well together to narrow down the source of my outage and get it repaired quickly.     This was my first time using Roy Electric, and this is going to become my go to electrical company. They were knowledgeable, extremely helpful, polite. I was kept informed during the entire process. They went straight to work, areas were cleaned after the work. When I first called, I was asked the nature of the work, and I was given helpful information on items I may want to purchase prior to their visit, which would save me money and time. (I loved this information.) They open at 7 am, which means you can get an early appointment. The price was incredible. I was pleased with all aspects of the service. I highly recommend Roy Electric!

    I needed some repairs to my exterior electrical box enclosures after my house was resided. Roy Electric was prompt in making contact with me the next day and explaining the process for repair which included needing to involve the power company. I was able to provide pictures of my outside wiring and Steve was very prompt in confirming it could be fixed and he provided an approximate cost for the repair given what he could see from the pictures.The day of the repair Roys electricians contacted me 30 minutes prior to arrival, and by chance they arrived at the same moment as the Duke lineman required for the work. My repairs were made in under an hour and my house lost power for all of 2 minutes while the portion of the repair requiring service disconnect was performed.I would recommend Roy Electric to anyone requiring repairs to electrical work.

    Roy Electric did some substantial work on our house including ceiling fans in every room, generator panel, new attic 240V furnace circuit, and 240V EV car charger. They were professional and responsive and willing to work with us on questions. Once done they did a good job cleaning up and following on on inspection issues. Definitely recommend them.

    Needed to install a Tesla Wall charger and could not do this on my own as I am not handy with electric and didnt want to risk anything. Roy Electric seemed to have the best reviews and most experience with Tesla Charging unit installs so I reached out to them...and I was right. They had done this enough that after a brief exchange about my houses set-up via text they provided a quote without having to come out for estimate. They came, installed exactly what I needed, even after seeing that my set-up was not going to be an easy one, and got it done and working as promised! I will be using them for any future electrical needs. They were great!

    We were very pleased with Roy Electric. They replaced a foyer light for us on an 18 ceiling for a very reasonable price.     I had an electrician come and replace my circuit breakers. He didnt have it inspected. When I had my AC replaced, it failed inspection due to the bad installation of the electrical panel. I spoke with Steve at Roy Electric and he quoted me an excellent price and was very thorough with his work. It passed inspection without hitch. I would highly recommend Roy Electric for great service at an excellent price.

    Roys crew came to do bonding of CSST and change a light fixture on a ceiling about 14 feet high. They came on time (earlier in fact, but called ahead to make sure that was okay), were professional, friendly, explained the work, made sure I understood what they were going to do and were finished promptly. The price was very reasonable and highly competitive to other electricians I quoted for the job. To my surprise, they take PayPal, which I appreciated. All in all, positive experience.

    We had a terrific experience with Roy Electric. We had recessed LED lights installed to replace outdated fluorescent lighting in our kitchen. Steve (owner) sounded mild mannered on the phone and was very patient with my questions and concerns regarding the install. John and Ryan came early for the appointment and both gentlemen were efficient and professional. They were also careful to remove the fluorescent housing from the ceiling that NO major and unnecessary damage was left in that area - truly conscientious in their work as if its being done in their own homes. Our kitchen looks much better with these LED lighting - thanks to Roy Electric! Outstanding and highly recommended!

    I would recommend Roy Electric to any homeowner or business who likes to support small business owners, wants high quality work and products for an excellent price, and appreciates friendly, on-time and efficient workers. My projects included repairing a bathroom light fixture and replacing a master bedroom cheap light with a modern hanging light fixture. While he was here, he inspected some light switches which it turns out were a fire hazard, in one case, and several wrong light switches for the new dimmable LED bulbs I had purchased and installed. In only one hour, he completed all the projects, because he wisely brought a helper to cut the time in half, and left my wife and I with much improved and safer home lighting and light circuits. Based on other reviews I read before contacting, the owner, Steve Roy is suitable to any type of electrical project, small or large. He oversees every project and leaves every customer highly satisfied. Steve Roy represents a wonderful role model for all American small business owners.
