We used Gallery KBNY to re-design our kitchen and other rooms.Avi Zikrys design was amazing. His vision enabled us to create a whole new look and a better functioning space. That was a year ago, and we are very happy with the results. I highly recommend him. -

I purchased a one bedroom apartment with the intention of doing some renovations. As a first time buyer in NYC I was looking for a team that would be able to help me navigate through the process with confidence. I interviewed several design build firms and decided to go with Gallery after speaking with Alex. He seemed to read my mind and understood my vision for the apartment. Going through this process was very frustrating-dealing with a difficult board, architect requirements, the pandemic, and many obstacles and setbacks along the way . They were steadfast in their commitment to completing the project and building the home I dreamed of. The designer, Kate was so lovely to work with as well by putting together such beautiful design options for me to choose. They are a team I felt I could trust to make everything work and they did not disappoint. Thank you so much! -

We did a full apartment renovation with Gallery Kitchen and Bath. We replaced our 100 year+ old floors, gutted one bathroom, changed counter tops, painted and wallpapered the whole apartment and made other upgrades through built-ins and lighting. It was a real pleasure working with Gallery. From the very beginning of the project, they were thoughtful and gave us excellent recommendations on how to best proceed with the work based on deep expertise in apartments like ours. We were assigned a phenomenal project manager who really helped get the project done and helped us work through the inevitable unexpected hiccups that occur in projects like this. We could not be happier with the finished product and would highly recommend Gallery to other families contemplating a renovation. -

Worked with the Gallery Team to do a full gut renovation of our home. As a young family we wanted a more modern and open layout but needed a practical and functional layout which the Gallery Team worked with us to design. They were very helpful through the entire process and worked with us each step of the way with great responsiveness and care for our project. They were helpful but not pushy through the design process and efficient through the construction process. They maintained open lines of dialogue and we are very happy with the way our home turned out. Thank you Gallery! -

I renovated my kitchen and two bathrooms with Gallery Kitchen & Bath. When I was deciding on a contractor, I received multiple bids and selected Gallery because they were, by far, the most professional, the bid included materials costs (I didnt know how to estimate them, Id never done this before) and because theyd help me with the project. Gallery is larger than a lot of contractors and they have a number of project managers. I worked with Lori Callender. I also had an administrator who oversaw the project from a paperwork standpoint (permits, dealing with my fussy building, all purchases, etc.). Lori worked with me on choosing everything (except my kitchen cabinets, which Id already ordered) and she had good suggestions, picked up on what I liked and guided me through the whole project. They set me up on a website where I signed off on everything they were ordering and I could log in any time to see how much Id spent versus the materials budget. The construction went smoothly. The workers all wore masks, everyone showed up when expected, was respectful, and they cleaned up every day (apartment and hallway when needed) so that I could live and work in my apartment through the entire process. We also went through everything together very closely before we finished to make sure I was happy. They finished on time or under estimate and it came out beautiful. -

We are very happy we chose Gallery to remodel our condo in Tribeca - they did an excellent job and are very communicative, responsive, and easy to work with. We remodeled the kitchen and bedrooms (and closets), and built an additional office for work during the pandemic. We also refinished our floors and all walls. Gallerys team is highly professional and handled everything seamlessly from the permits to completion. Their work is high quality (especially the kitchen) and their design is very clean and sharp.During the pandemic, everything slowed down drastically, but our renovation went very smoothly and were happily moved in earlier in 2022. We would definitely work with Gallery again in the future. -

My partner and I chose Gallery for a complete renovation of our kitchen, bathroom, and hallway closet. Since we had no prior experience with an apartment renovation, we believed Gallerys full service approach would work best for us. We selected them following a lengthy phone conversation with Aaron and an impressive presentation from Peter, our outstanding project manager. Our initial confidence in them was borne out through the entire project. They deliver what they promise. Peter and the whole team, which included office administrator Colin and project foreman David, are top notch professionals. I would particularly point to the level of communication - the team was always available by phone or email or text, updated all project information to the Buildertrend website, and quickly addressed any issues that arose. With the project now complete, we are thrilled with our beautiful, modern and newly enlarged kitchen, our shiny new bathroom and our combination pantry/clothing closet. Job well done Gallery! -

If you are looking to renovate, Gallery is TERRIFIC. Our pre-war, estate-sale purchase needed A LOT of work. Avi from Gallery was fantastic in every way, including: (1) providing a practical budget (what we could/should keep/restore vs. gut), (2) laying out options (we considered at least five vastly different kitchen layouts), (3) sticking to budget, (4) finding creative solutions to every problem (wet over dry, bath conversions to showers), (5) working closely with my building staff and even impressing them! (building has very high expectations and standards). Avi and his team get it done, take pride in their work and are honest and professional. Avi is an unusually special resource and person. He continued to work on our project until it was done right and we were happy. (Now that our project is complete, there are still decisions I waver on and I believe he will help me with those if I choose to pursue them, even after his team is gone). I am convinced that he can accomplish almost anything (he is one of the most creative thinkers around); if he cant, I would challenge you to find another who can. Full disclosure: I did have to retain my own designer to complete my A team. -

Gallery did exceptional work in a complete redo of a large kitchen and bath/powder room and then a large scale sprucing up of the rest of the apartment (paint/skim coat whole apartment, re-did floors, took down a wall, installed some AV and new lighting/electric). Kept to the timeline (even with delays caused by our building), creatively solved problems that come with work in an older building (and NYC in generally) and were very fair on price and change orders we requested. As we found things that were out of scope post living in the apartment (or problems created by other third party vendors involved in our project), they were happy to efficiently complete this additional work and fix others errors. Work quality was high - if some detail was below par, they would catch it, call it out on their own and fix on their own dime. For example, after wall papering our bathroom, on their own they decided it was not up to snuff and just re-did it at their expense (incl materials). I think that is a pretty unique approach and experiences like this reduce stress in the otherwise painful process of a full apartment renovation. Highly recommend using them for any remodel/renovation work. -

This was our first large renovation and we were glad to have Gallery to handle everything from start to finish, from design to ordering materials and full installation and renovation. They worked with our coop well and we love our new kitchen, floors, closets and lighting! Despite the pandemic slowing things down and a few bumps along the way, we only spent the amount we wanted to and love the result. We would definitely recommend them to any first time homeowner looking to renovate. -

My family and I had the pleasure of working with Gallery on a year+ long semi-gut reno and as far as renos go, it was relatively painless. Our project manager, Eli and the owners (Jonathan and Aaron) were both patient and were great at listening to our concerns and making sure they were addressed in a timely manner. Ive gone through several renovations in NY, though none as extensive as this, but I dont think I could have gone through this with anyone else. They always tried to accommodate our schedule but more importantly they did a great job and our place looks beautiful and fantastic!!! We are happy we had the opportunity to work with Gallery and our experience with them is why well probably be working with them again. -

Renovating in a co-op building in the midst of COVID was a long and painful experience. But I can’t imagine anyone better to have guided us through it than the team at Gallery. We endured a three-month NYC construction shutdown, a difficult co-op board that imposed some unreasonable restrictions, and two different leaks in our apartment during the renovation work (all against the backdrop of three young kids who werent allowed in their school buildings). But Gallery navigated all of these obstacles like true pros, ensuring that there were no major delays to our project and that the leak damage was quickly repaired, even when it was not their fault. The quality of Gallerys work is top-notch and accurately represented in the photo gallery you can find online. Peter and Diana provided helpful design input along the way, and Diana made sure we ended up with not only a beautiful kitchen but also a functional one. Her commitment to perfection, along with our foreman, was truly impressive.Gallerys commitment to staying within budget is also unparalleled. Their estimate was higher than others we had received, but they were the only ones who had spent multiple hours on the phone truly trying to understand what we wanted. There were very few budget surprises along the way once we digested the initial number. I did decide I wanted nicer vanities in the bathrooms than what they had budgeted for (which I believe would have been from the same company that made our kitchen cabinets) so that was one big add-on. And the electrical panel in our 1960s building needed to be replaced, which seems common in old buildings and perhaps could have been predicted. We initially chose Gallery because of the one-stop shopping aspect, in that their services included an architect and design input, in addition to the usual construction work and materials. They have a huge staff and many people to consult if an unusual question or issue arises. We were not disappointed, as our relationship with the team, starting and finishing with owner and sales lead Alex, ended up lasting more than two years. Part of this was before we even closed on the apartment and were living abroad, and the rest was largely due to COVID and some final touchups that were not urgent after we moved in. In any case, we felt lucky to have Gallery on our side through all of this, and we would use the company again. -

My wife and I had a great experience hiring Gallery for our two-bedroom apartment renovation in Manhattan in the Murray Hill neighborhood. We interviewed three design and build firms and although initially we were quoted a higher price by Gallery than the other two firms, when we dug into the details, we found Gallerys price to be on par. Our project manager was very direct and set the right expectations from the beginning, giving us the right quote even when other firms numbers sounded more attractive. Throughout the process, Eli and Sam kept us in constant communication, and also made sure we were on time with our fixture selections and any decisions so that the overall project stay on track. We were on very tight timeline with a newborn due two weeks after the project completion. Eli and the Gallery team got the project done on time, and sure enough, two weeks later, the baby also came on time (1 day early), so we are ever thankful for Gallery in keeping this project in time, even taking into account unexpected incidents such as having 3 broken medicine cabinets delivered (not Gallerys issue). Eli was also very accommodating with minor changes throughout without haggling over any price changes. All in all, great experience and workmanship and great project management. -

After purchasing our Turtle Bay apartment, we decided to renovate the kitchen and bathrooms. We thought this would be a daunting task since we reside in Florida and would be unable to oversee the project’s progress. Luckily, our realtor recommended Gallery Kitchen & Bath. Peter, Aaron, and Colin were extremely professional and transparent throughout the entire process. They sent us photos and offered Job Tracker software to show the apartment’s transformation. Someone from the team was always available to answer our questions and listen to our ideas. They were able to stay within the agreed budget and completed the project on time. We highly recommend Gallery Kitchen & Bath to anyone considering a renovation project. -

I did a gut renovation during Covid and it was actually an unbelievable experience with team Gallery. One always hears “it takes twice as long and cost twice as much” but they never tell you you get something that is well beyond any expectation you could ever have. The team was punctual, they worked hard in an uncertain time and helped me build and create my dream home.I would completely recommend them and you can talk to me and come visit and I’d be happy to give you a tour. Avi, Michael, Marco and DeAndri were GREAT to work with. You can’t go wrong with the Gallery Team! -

This was the second (and much more extensive) renovation project I had undertaken and, based on my first with a different contractor, I knew that there were three key elements I would need: (1) quality of work; (2) someone who would handle everything eliminating the need for my having to quarterback; and (3) responsiveness. Avi and his team far surpassed all three. After doing the requisite diligence to interview contractors and their past clients, comparing price points, services offered and experiences had by others, I opted to go with Gallery. During the contracting phase, they were very attentive to my questions and objectives expressed. Once the work started, Avi and Colin were in regular contact to advise me of progress and matters requiring my input. I found that the site they uses for these exchanges, to centralize all of the information about my project and share progress photos was also instrumental in keeping everyone aligned and avoid miscommunications. The care, caliber and professionalism with which they did their work was bar none, and there was always someone to answer my questions and address any concerns. They made what can be a terribly stressful process quite painless. The end result is absolutely beautiful and I’m extremely happy with how everything turned out. I would not hesitate to recommend Avi/Gallery or use them again. -

The Gallery team was great during the design process, receptive to additional requests, and brought great ideas up during the reno process. The transformation of my apartment is like night and day and I’m super happy with the results. I picked them because I didn’t want my reno to be a huge burden of my time and the full-service that they delivered totally lived up to that promise. If that is what you’re looking for, definitely give them a shot! -

I renovated my bathroom, retiled my kitchen floor and painted my whole apartment. I am extremely happy with the end result as Peter Hartofilis and Diana Otani did a great job in making it happen. Diana always made herself available depending on what my schedule would permit and was very professional. We were under the gun a bit because I had orthopedic surgery scheduled and needed the project completed by that time so that I could recover in my newly renovated apartment. Besides a few minor items the job was done on time and it looks great. I would definitely use Peter, Diana and the Gallery team again for any future projects. -

My experience with contractors have been horrific to say the least. I was contemplating not touching my house again. I was speaking to my girlfriend and was lucky enough to be introduced to their contractor/designer Peter. A lot of times people over sell themselves or their referrals but I was shocked when I heard of their process and couldn’t believe the level of customer service and communication. They actually came through with everything that they promised and was told to me by my girlfriend. They told me ahead of time when they felt the project was going to take slightly more time due to a plumbing problem that by the way, were true to their word and did not charge me a change order for it. I knew when things were happening and when a problem occurred. I never was in the dark about anything. Their office staff was a pleasure to work with and handled everything with paperwork and sourcing materials. Best of all I only got involved selecting and paying for the job.You will be helping yourself in a big way by hiring Peter and the crew at Gallery. -

Where do I begin... I contacted GK&B to discuss kitchen options. Communication was prompt and were able to meet shortly after. Once on site, the guys were incredibly knowledgeable and gave fantastic ideas for the entire house. After further discussing with my wife, we decided to give them a try. We never looked back. We had GK&B do our flooring, kitchen, bathrooms and stairs. I can not thank the team enough for all the work and help. We have interviewed with plenty of contractors. These guys separated themselves way ahead of the rest. I really appreciated the input they gave, where to spend and where to save money. They really know what they are doing and are extremely organized! -

So pleased to have worked with GKB on our home renovation project. We had two woefully out of date bathrooms that needed to be gutted ASAP. From our first phone call and face to face meeting, I knew they would be the ones we would hire. They put us at ease given the scope of the project, took care of all permits and building requirements, and best of all ordering all the finishes, including custom tile. I had no reservations entrusting them with my home, and our dog (who was on site through this process). There was great communication with everyone throughout the duration of the project. Cant thank them enough for the two gorgeous bathrooms and new closets! -

GKB were the best! From start to finish they helped us decide how to renovate the dated bathrooms in our 1940 home. The team was always there for us, answering questions and resolving issues quickly. Their workers were also neat, clean, and respectful. We have been so happy with the result. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. -

With no small amount of trepidation, my wife Susan and I decided early this year that it was time to do a gut renovation of the kitchen in our Park Slope brownstone. We used Houzz to solicit proposals, and interviewed two architects and three contractors, including Gallery Kitchen & Bath. More than any of the others, GKB’s Peter Hartofilis impressed us with his knowledge, creative suggestions and enthusiasm for the project. In light of our busy work schedules, we were particularly attracted to GKB’s promise to manage the project entirely from design to demolition to construction, using their own employees and regular licensed mechanics to perform all of the work. We were left only with the responsibility to make design choices among an array of options GKB presented to us. Once we decided to go with GKB, Peter and his company negotiated a contract with us fairly and transparently, agreeing to a fixed cost and a payment schedule that has provided us meaningful control over the progress and completion of the work. Our choice of GKB was well-rewarded. From the beginning of the project, Peter and John Daskalakis, the project manager, gave us unlimited time to design the kitchen. They spent several hours with us discussing our needs and desires, proposing a menu of solutions, and taking measurements. John quickly reduced the discussions to drawings that presented a variety of design possibilities. He converted our design selections to detailed plans specifying the exact location and size of the cabinetry, plumbing, electrical switches and outlets, and kitchen appliances. Peter and John then spent several more hours with us in their studio presenting options for counter and backsplash materials and colors, introducing us to hardware selections and discussing additional design refinements.Once the kitchen design was set, the work proceeded smoothly. GKB’s workers showed up each scheduled morning and worked throughout the days under John’s attentive supervision. As one would expect with a brownstone circa 1875, there were a few unanticipated issues that arose during the work. Peter and John were available at all hours to discuss by phone or text and sort out the best solutions. On a regular basis, they discussed with us the work performed, outlined next steps and allayed our anxieties. Peter even returned our call on the day his daughter was born. They were flexible, invariably agreeing to requested adjustments.Throughout the project, Susan and I continued to live in the house, which was made possible by the workers’ consistent neatness and care. The work has been completed and we could not be more delighted with the quality work and beautiful look of our new kitchen, pantry and closets. We recommend GKB without hesitation. -
