We used Green Conversions for the renovation of our apartment and can highly recommend their work. Alex was incredibly helpful in guiding us on what was realistic in the planning process, helping with vendor selection, and giving us a reasonable timeline which he delivered on prompt.y. Throughout the renovation process, Alex was always friendly, on time, and his team were great to work with, as well. During minor mishaps, Alex was incredibly responsive (including outside of business hours) to help us problem solve. We have continued to stay in touch with Alex to consult on smaller issues and questions in the time following our renovation because we trust his opinion and knowledge so much. I would highly recommend Alex and his team!

Alex and his team came so highly recommended from another tenant in my co-op building. I was looking for work to be done in my bathroom, and a kitchen renovation. I called Alex and he was so responsive to see what I was looking to do. We made a plan and we moved forward. His team was always prompt (shout out to Wilson, the project manager)! They came on time everyday, set everything up to keep dust out of the rest of my apt, (as I’m living here), cleaned up beautifully at the end of every day. Alex explained the pricing, so there were no surprises, and time frame, which actually finished sooner than expected. I am thrilled with the quality of his work. And that I had a totally stress free experience.

Alex Trivizas and his team at Green Conversions did a terrific job on our bathroom renovation!They were professional, courteous, and cheerful and worked well with the staff and the management in our building. They did an excellent job navigating the various rules and restrictions of our coop. The work was done on time and on budget and Alex kept us informed at every stage of the process.Alex helped us choose our tile and bathroom fixtures and accessories and made good suggestions about the design and use of the space. The result is a light, airy, beautiful bathroom!We have used Alex before for other renovations, and on that work as with this project we have been very happy with the results.We highly recommend Alex and his team at Green Conversions!

Im an Architect and I have worked with GCI on a number of projects. Alex and his team are incredibly professional, and also reasonable priced and down to earth. They communicate with whatever level of detail you want: They will give you all of the nitty gritty or take care of the work and spare you the details - whichever you as a client prefer. They are also incredibly pro-active about discovering issues before they arise and offering solutions. They spare you the price of a large GC that has too much mid-level management and yet still provide the top quality youd expect for the most high-end renovations in NYC.Over 20 years in practice, most GCs have fallen off of my recommendation list. They never will. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Green Conversions in Brooklyn, NY for home renovation work. Green rescued me when my original contractor was banned from my building while renovating my kitchen and bathroom and it was challenging to get a contractor to come in to work in the middle of a job. A neighbor recommended Green and Alex came to survey the situation the day after I called him. The staff works hard, is careful and polite, very knowledgeable, keeps me up to date on progress, and solves problems as they arise. The quality of the work is excellent. My project manager, Dan, is hands-on, stopping by almost every day to check things out and keep on schedule. Although people dont ordinarily say this about their contractor, it has been a joy working with Green.

Alex and his team did a massive renovation of my house. Throughout the process he and the crew were unfailingly prompt, pleasant, communicative and in every way professional. Their work is stellar. They are clean and careful in all they do. Alex was upfront and transparent about all financial aspects of the job, laying out costs and his own overhead, so that I always felt I was making informed decisions. I have worked with a number of contractors, some of them very good, but Green Conversions was by far the best. I recommend them very highly..

We added this review on Houzz but wanted to share here as well.We purchased a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment that required a full gut renovation. Everything had to be torn up, down and apart so we could remake our future home. The mistake on our part was underestimating what it would take for our first renovation project. There was so much to do and so much we didnt know. We are so thankful that Green Conversions took our project. They were highly recommended from an architect friend who had also trusted Alex for his home renovation.Green Conversions is professional from the very start - open and transparent about costs, work effort and estimated timing. Not once did we feel anything was unreasonable or questionable; they always shared ideas and options but left the decision with you. They are incredibly thoughtful in their approach, working with you as a partner rather than just a client. You can tell they care about your space and take pride in their work.Without their guidance and patience, this project would have run over much longer than either parties would have wanted. They helped us prioritize design research and detailed decisions; they leveraged their contacts to help us get quality, beautiful millwork to cover our PTAC units; and when we purchased the wrong shelving for our kitchen, their team magically resolved the issue by custom building a platform that looked completely integrated. This was an enormous project. If we were to renovate again, Green Conversions would be the first contractor we would call.

We hired Alex and his project manager Bob to install a washer/dryer in our apartment, which also entailed reconfiguring all of electrical as well as significant plumbing work. They were rock stars--finished the job early, fixed a number of small issues they encountered along the way (that were not part of the scope of work, and didnt try to add on charges), and left our apartment looking better than when they had arrived. We could not have had a better experience, and I would recommend them for jobs of any scale and size. They were also super-communicative and friendly throughout (we received updates and photos on a daily basis and our son loved watching Bob work!). A++++
