Mike C. of Lakeside Services Co., came to our home to install a draft hood and additional vent pipe on our boiler. In doing so, he discovered that a new chimney liner was needed. Thanks to Mike’s observation, knowledge, and problem solving, we have many more safe years of heat and hot water.The following day, Keith B. and Alex of Lakeside Services, did an awesome job installing our new chimney liner and exhaust pipes to the boiler. Both Keith and Alex were very nice and courteous. Looking forward to using Lakeside Services again (with Keith), to install a ductless Mini-Split for AC.

Lakeside responded quickly to our original inquiry with Jeff from the Sales team coming out for a same day quote. The installation was scheduled for 3 days later with tech, Carl, and his apprentice. I recently had an outstanding experience with Lakeside Service Company when my furnace unexpectedly went out. Within just two hours, Duke arrived at my residence and quickly diagnosed the issue. Shortly after, Tom, the estimator, arrived within 30 minutes to provide a replacement estimate. The new furnace was installed the following morning at 8 AM.From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and efficient. The service and professionalism displayed by the team were top-notch. AMAZING service, drove to get the ONE part in the state for our furnace and installed it that night after we’d been out of heat for almost 4 days. No other service could even come close to being able to do what Lakeside did in less than 12 hours! Remarkably friendly staff as well and reasonable prices! HIGHLY recommend!

We lost our furnace during the pandemic in January, and they were the only company to come over and check it out. Everyone else could not come to check it out for two weeks. We needed a new furnace, and it could not be installed for several weeks. It was a time when many people could not work because of the virus. We had to go ten days without heat, and they made sure we had enough electric heaters to keep us from freezing. They worked very hard to find someone who would give up the service call for a new ac and let them install our new furnaceThey were great. Now we needed a new AC and it was a no-brainer as to who to call. We did not even get another quote as they are the best. Thank you to our wonderful installers Rick and Keith for the great job they did. From the minute you make the first call the office people are wonderful. So very helpful and kind. We will never call anyone except Lakeside. Thanks again Rick and Keith.

Lakeside has been a dependable service organization with regard to maintenance of our home heating, cooling and hot water systems. Their service technicians are well trained, polite, and have done excellent work since we had our new system installed four and a half years ago. The carrier furnace system we purchased through them has saved us a lot of money over the original heating and cooling system that came with the home even in these times of high inflation and rising energy costs, we still show excellent month to month savings over our old system. We highly recommend Lakeside Service Co.

I can also call them when I need other services like I did today. Ryan, a plumber, came today and took care of a couple of problems I was having. He was very friendly, and helpful. I appreciated his work. Jason did my furnace maintenance, and he too was very personable. Its a comfort knowing that people you trust are taking care of things for you.

We will after 22 years need a new furnace but they have always maintained our heating and cooling services for many years. We truly don’t know anyone working there. Carson called before arrived to let me know he was on his way to our house. Arrived on time and proceeded to inspect the thermostat and the furnace. He did pull on his cloth booties to protect our floors. He showed me all he found - peanuts and dead mice in the furnace -so he suggested covers be placed on the outside furnace piping to prevent future rodents. Cleaned and tested everything including the humidifier and let me know the ignition switch was reading near the failing level so he suggested replacement. All work completed and cleaned up. Very pleased with all work completed.

They had to move the location of the water heater to our desired spot and it involved a lot more labor to move water and gas lines around. All of the pipes were neatly routed. I received a curtesy notification via text from the technician (171 Jeremy S) letting me know that he was on his way with an ETA of 20-30 minutes. The technician was friendly, quickly diagnosed various problems and efficiently fixed them. I’m a happy customer and have zero complaints. Thanks Jeremy!This should be a separate review. For some reason the link that I received sends me back to my prior review but I’ll just add my newest review to this…About a week ago when Jeremy was installing a new humidifier he noticed that my water heater was on it’s last legs and he recommended that I get a new one. I should’ve just gotten the estimate on the spot while Jeremy was there but I was dumb and waited about a week. I called Lakeside to get an estimate on a new water heater and at that point I was informed that in order to get an estimate that they needed send someone out (free of charge).John Fillinger was the friendly fellow who just stopped by and provided the estimate. John was awesome. He was on time, provided a curtesy call before he arrived, was really friendly and super informative. John even preemptively answered a bunch of questions that I didn’t even know that I had. Then he busted out a portable printer and printed out the required paper work so that I didn’t have to. This man is a true professional! Thanks John!

I got got my furnace, AC, and a new mounted humidifier installed by Lakeside Service and was very impressed.I had 4 companies come out and quote the job. Lakeside definitely wasnt the cheapest, but the werent the most expensive either. The Lakeside salesman John F. was leaps and bounds the most technically adept of the bunch. John listened to my needs while recommending a great setup within my price range. I liked the fact lakeside used Carrier equipment which is supposed to be reliable. Even though they are a larger company, they must have pretty decent management because everything was timely and quite organized. The office team seemed nice when I went in to pay.It took 2 days to remove the old system and install the new system. The installers were timely and professional, and I had minimal interruptions to my day to day activity. They executed all the contracted installations, including a few negotiated items, to a tee and without having to be reminded. They knew their trade well and everything has worked great so far (knock on wood) without any call backs. At one point there was a snafu trying to install the new 10 cable thermostat wire, and instead of giving up they put in the extra effort to get it installed so I could get full functionality of my new thermostat which I appreciated.Its no surprise why Lakeside Service pulls the most permits in Livingston county... My experience with them was very positive and they seemed like an honest company.

Super professional experience with Carl and the rest of the team at Lakeside. They expertly removed my water heater, while protecting my floor with sheet covering and boot covers. They rerouted the gas and water connections for a minimally invasive look. The chimney was efficiently routed as well. What tipped the scales fully was the extra step for a drain pan with a drain tube that went strait to our sump pump so we don’t have to worry about soaked floors from this water heater. Great team and great experience!

And when a roofer who had to flash around the pipe (due to a roofing warranty) not showing up on schedule, Carl came back the following day after we got the roofer, at 7pm and worked til after 9, said he wasnt going to leave us without heat. Have been extremely happy with Lakeside Service. In the course of a number of years they have replaced our aging furnace, AC and installed the proper duct work in our finished basement. Everyone from the sales team, install team, and service team have shown their love of the job. Some key things…I like to see the mix of senior technicians and younger technicians and how the knowledge is getting passed on. I like the fact that they own any mistakes or “less than expected” service. Having a company stand behind their work and product is a lost art.I recommend Lakeside Service to anyone needing heating or cooling installs or service.

We had a new furnace, a/c, and rerouted some ductwork at our house last year. The entire Lakeside team really did a nice job on it. Kevin was the sales representative and was very responsive and setup the entire work team. Fast forward about a year and Duke came out to provide our first inspection of the installation. We couldn’t be happier with all the service he provided at the time! Everything is working great. In the middle of all this, I have to apologize to Duke - during the inspection process, he also let us know we had a hornets nest nearby. ☹️

Jonathan, Lakesides Plumber, was EXCELLENT! I had a valve that was leaking in my basement, Jonathan came out and offered to repair the valve, but I choose to replace it with a new/modern valve. The fact he gave me a lower cost option BEFORE telling me the benefits of the new/modern style valve, is why I call and will continue to call Lakeside Service Company. There is a difference - the team at Lakeside is 2nd to none!

Excellent service! Excellent communication and extremely thorough through the process!I had called many places due to the odd circumstances of our little cottage not having space for duct work. We had electric bannister heating. The other companies didn’t call me back. One company didn’t even bother submitting the quote after driving all the way to our house!Lakeside was on time, didn’t walk out our door without a detailed quote in our hands.We needed extra electrical for this particular job and they had that all set up for us with a trustworthy and reputable company they partner with. Made things so easy — we were already really overwhelmed trying to set this all up. We have a special needs child so doing work on the house became more challenging but the entire staff was so helpful courteous n compassionate we felt like we had family friends here not strangers.They do so much more than basic heating n cooling! They can help with plumbing issues, electric — you name it! Everyone will help you n explain everything to you every step of the way. I didn’t worry abt a thing.My father had used them for years and no one else and now I see why.You can’t mess around with things like heating n cooling for your family. It needs to be done right the first time. That’s what you get with Lakeside. Small business bedside manner with big business options! We will never go anywhere else — even if someone could beat them in price because you do get what you pay for. I have no idea where they land as far as competitive pricing with other local companies because no one else bothered to give me a quote but I can say based on my research they were right in line. And the peace of mind we have that everything is working properly n was done correctly is worth it to us.

I had my Rinnai tankless system flushed by Lakeside. They showed up in the prescheduled time frame. They called when they were about 10 minutes out for a heads up which was appreciated. I learned a lot talking to the guys and they were done with the flush in about 45 minutes. Very pleased. I have signed up for their platinum plan and will have them take care of this task for me yearly.
