Chris and Ryan of Coastal Life Design did a beautiful job with a top to bottom renovation of our condo in Perico Bay Club. They were professional, responsive, meticulous workers who answered our every call promptly and provided quality workmanship. We were up north during the renovation, but they worked daily and kept us up to date on all proceedings. Any questions on their part or ours were answered.Sondra, owner and manager, as well as Janet the secretary also answered and guided us throughout the process. Truly, this group made every effort to meet our goals in a timely and elegant way. We are thrilled with our modern condo! High marks and high recommendations!

I remodeled a small bathroom. My experience is that every person, from design to every install speciality was/ is a caring professional. The result is exquisite and perfect. They kept me informed throughout the remodel and worked with me to ensure that my every wish was met timely and to my complete satisfaction. As I recall each specialist, I honestly can say, they are welcome in my home anytime. It’s hard to find good craftsmen these days, but to assemble a whole team of them is exceptional. Thank you Sondra Okada and all office and field team.

Thank you, Coastal Life Design, for my to-the-studs (and rafters) bathroom remodel. Sondra and her amazing team took me from my vision to an even better reality. Simply beautiful.Coastal provided detailed renditions of the remodel for us to look … and re-look … at as we narrowed down the design. Sondra guided me and selected fixtures, tiles, cabinetry, plumbing, counters, lighting, mirrors, door, electrical and HVAC receptacles, etc. … all of it … made it so easy for me and certainly saved me time and anguish.The project manager, Cris, is patient and responsive. Ryan is a skilled experienced carpenter whom we saw pretty much every day. Janet and Debbie keep things moving along from the office.The plumbers, drywallers, electricians, HVAC technicians, painters, tilers, etc. were orchestrated to keep the project on track and sequenced. The official project renditions were indispensable and regularly referenced by the workers and me throughout the project.I occupied my home while the remodel was being done and everyone did the best they could to keep the construction impacts under control. They were also respectful of the condo association rules. When all was done, Coastal hired cleaners to do a thorough post-construction clean up.

They take your calls, keep their promises - and keep you up to date.We first worked with Coastal Life Design when we bought our condo in 2021. Sondra helped us with changes we wanted, and made many good suggestions.. She did the work while we were up North that summerLast August, our property manager called to say a water back-up caused significant damage in our master bath, closets, floors, hallways and guest-room. We also had her select paint colors for every room in our house, plus the outside paint. We went with every recommendation and each is perfect. She is brilliant. Our experience with Coastal Life Design was excellent and we give them an unqualified recommendation.CLD did a to-the-studs renovation of our late-70s beachfront two bed/two bath condo, one with excellent bones but that presented significant challenges that would have stymied most general contractors. We knew the moment we walked into CLDs studio that Sondra and her team could convert our complex vision into a stunning reality.Sondras turn-key design-build approach to project management was the secret sauce. We have completed six major residential building and remodeling projects in PA, NJ and MA, and know how unseen obstacles can present major time delays and significant budget overruns.Our HOA has a tight off-season construction window, and we had a hard stop on December 15. CLDs team met with us in January to discuss our vision, which they brought to life in three-dimensional computer renderings. When they encountered several fixed structural roadblocks using methodical investigation, CLD modified and tweaked the plan and met our budgetary and time constraints.Overseeing this from 1300 miles away in Boston, distance was a concern for us, given the time and expense of travel for meetings with CLD. Employing web-based technologies, in-person meetings were kept to a minimum.Cris rapidly secured required permits and a rigorous but attainable project schedule was drafted, with a series of hard completion targets built in. All town-mandated inspections were scheduled and passed like clockwork, thanks to Steves excellent relationships with his subcontractors and his ability to creatively solve problems. We needed to approve only two minor change-orders for highly unusual and unanticipated structural issues they encountered.Cris regularly updated us on progress, sending phone images we requested after demolition and during several stages of reconstruction for future reference. He coordinated timely delivery and installation of new appliances with GE- the final stage of the plan- on December 14th. He even accurately allocated space for an under-counter wine fridge we had in storage but for which we had no make/model number. The punch list was minor and flawlessly executed by Steve and Ryan in just a few days. Thats the value experience brings to the table.Our communitys HOA board told us stories about other owners stress-filled experiences renovating their homes. Our experience with CLD was easy and collegial. Sondra worked her magic in design and project/logistical planning. Cris executed the plan flawlessly. Steve managed the project so well that our HOA president and property manager commented on how respectful the team was and how effectively and efficiently the project ran. Rounding out the experience, Janet and Debbie in administration were also a joy to work with.As Sondra is fond of saying- no drama!

In May 2020, major water damage occurred in our kitchen and family room which ultimately resulted in replacement of flooring, drywall, cabinetry, countertops and other repairs. So began the difficult and lengthy process of dealing with remediation, insurance and finding a quality contractor. Ultimately Coastal Life Design came to our rescue. Sondra was a joy to work with, persevering through the frustrating process of dealing with insurance. She also gave us excellent design advice while working within our budget. We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship as well as the courtesy of all sub contractors and employees who completed our project. We highly recommend Sondra and her team at Coastal Life Design for any of your construction needs.

Sondra was great to work with. Her initial ideas were right on with what we were looking for. Therefore, my husband and I had very little decision making which was great. Also when there was a problem with one of the design elements due to discontinuation of a tile product, Sondra quickly came up with a new design that worked great. Bob, her contractor, was also great to work with. Can’t say enough about how wonderful this team was to work with. We love our “new’ condo!

We were looking to add a work station and additional storage space in the Condo we purchased in May 2018. Coastal Life design worked with what we were looking for. Although we initially wanted granite countertop, we were advised it would cost over our budget. They suggested butcher block and it came out great. Most places would not have advised this. Coastal design went within our budget, not trying to sell more expensive design. They kept in contact every step of the process,from showing us the layout on their computer,to picking out the hardware,to maki g sure the workmen were there. Even the workmen explained everything they were doing. Highly recommend Coastal Life Design!!!!

She is unflappable and solution-oriented. When the inevitable hiccups occurred she quickly developed a plan to work through them. We contracted Coastal Life Design to source and install new Vinyl Plank Flooring in our main living area and to design and install a new bathroom. The projects were very well organized and supervised. I was truly impressed with their professionalism. The work was done exactly to our original plans. I have additional home improvement projects and will not hesitate to contact Jennifer and Bob. They are one of the good guys.
