The scope of this project was extensive and included far more than the typical kitchen/bath update . The renovation included demising interior walls, reconfiguring rooms and attic access; redesigning the kitchen and baths; installing new wood and tile flooring throughout the unit; modernizing the electrical service and lighting; and upgrading the HVAC and plumbing. The Cutting Edge team (Scot and Maryann, principals; Millie, designer; and their crew) were a joy to work with and the completed renovation exceeded our expectations despite the challenges posed by overzealous enforcement of a seasonal construction moratorium and the COVID pandemic. Cutting Edge demonstrated resolve in dealing with these hurdles and preventing them from interfering with effective, cost efficient project management.We selected Cutting Edge because of their approach and experience. Their vision, attention to detail, and honest/open communications proved truly exceptional. Scot, Maryann, and Millie all came to assess the project prior to submitting their proposal, which set them apart from the competition. During their initial inspection of the property, Cutting Edge discussed design concepts and freely shared their ideas with us. By the time they left, we had a good idea of what we wanted to incorporate in the renovation.As the project progressed, Millies design skills translated the concepts into detailed plans and renditions that were invaluable in helping us create the living space we wanted. Scot showed he was a skilled woodworker as well as general contractor--his hands-on commitment assured quality construction (seen and unseen) throughout the unit. Maryann played a key role in design and sourcing materials compatible with our standards.Communications and trust were particularly important because we could not be on-site. As in all projects of this size and complexity, we did hit some speed bumps along the way. We were able to resolve them quickly because we had frequent, open conversations and Cutting Edge provided photos that helped avoid surprises.We unreservedly recommend Cutting Edge to anyone looking for a contractor with integrity who is passionate about design and renovation--and total customer satisfaction.

Cutting Edge helped us remodel our kitchen. Quartz countertops and beautiful cabinetry, Im amazed everytime I walk into my kitchen. Scot and Maryann help us throughout the whole process, very professional and on time. Highly recommend!!
