Ive had only excellent experiences with the HVAC technicians at Koch & White. Ive worked with both Aaron and Joe, and they were great about explaining everything to me, didnt push any unnecessary sales, were honest, and both very pleasant people. Koch & White also has better availability compared to most companies Ive called. They were one of the few companies willing to send someone to look at my 1970s furnace/AC unit without immediately telling me I need to just replace them. Overall, Ive been very pleased with their service and I would highly recommend them.

He identified the problem within 10 minutes of removing the service panel cleaned everything up replaced The capacitor and relay and a burnt connector Quite quickly checked up refrigerant pressures Temperature differentials even checked by condensate inside the furnace you could not have been more professional really knows what hes doing! I could have not been more pleased. Great job!

During an annual inspection of my furnace, air conditioner and humidifier, the tech noticed that my water heater was leaking. I purchased a replacement from Koch & White. The power vent blower seemed noisy, so a replacement was ordered. The tech replaced the blower, but spotted possible venting issues. He addressed the problems and the noise issue was resolved.

Highly impressed with the Koch & White team! I received a couple quotes to upgrade the systems in my home and Matt truly took his time explaining what he recommended and caught some issues that no other companies did. Devin & Michael displayed great communication and patience throughout the installation. We ran into an issue with Consumers Energy not showing up on the day we scheduled to have the gas meter turned off, but Devin made it a priority to come back the following day to finish his work. I will recommend Koch & White in the future to anyone who wants quality products and service.

Koch & White put in my previous furnace/AC 20 years ago, and just replaced the furnace after it died. Generally good things to say, especially that they were very responsive as we tried to work through whether it was really dead and then to get a new furnace installed quickly. Some glitches in the process, though, the first installers couldnt get the fancy internet thermostat working and also broke something that didnt need to be replaced, so we had 2 other home visits (and hours off work) to deal with those issues (although should note they didnt balk at all about their additional time spent). Also not fond of the Carrier thermostat, mainly that the printed instructions dont match up to the current programming much at all. But I have heat which is pretty important!

It felt like Devlin and his team really tried to go above and beyond to make sure the job was done properly and thoroughly. They were on time, they listened, they were professional, and they worked hard for 3 days to install a new A/C, furnace with humidifier and water heater, all with surge protectors.The Ann Arbor mechanical and electrical inspectors came to inspect, and the electrical said in his 5 years, he never had a single problem with a Koch and White job. The mechanical implied in his 8 years he had a similar experience.I will say that besides the installation, most people I had to talk to (for estimates, scheduling, etc.) during the whole process seemed pretty overworked and almost too busy to talk to, so be prepared for that.

Aaron from Koch and White came out to service my furnace. He did an excellent job. Furnace was working intermittently, and he diagnosed and fixed it. I also had a humidifier that came with the house I knew nothing about. It was also not working and was wired with the wrong size wire nuts. Thank you for your quality work and service!

I called the emergency number on Saturday night and spoke with Clint who walked me through what I needed to do for my leaking hot water heater. I called on Monday morning and Clint was here on Monday afternoon to look at the problem. Clint installed a new hot water heater on Wednesday morning; explained the system and what to do in the future. He even allowed me to video tape him on what to do if the pilot light goes out and he helped me label the various values. Very fast, efficient, helpful and polite. My only request is that the emergency number was 24/7; hours are limited.

During the first big ice storm my power went out almost immediately and my backup generator did not come on. I contacted the company that has serviced it for several years. I was told they might be here the next day. I tried calling again two days later and their voicemail box was full. I have still never heard from them.I called another company recommended by a friend. They aid they might be here tomorrow. I finally got a call from them 3 weeks later.I heard an ad for Koch & White on W4 Country one morning. I called them and someone was here that afternoon! Amazing service! A part needed to be ordered but in less than a week it was installed.I highly recommend Koch & White. They are my new go to company for heating/cooling/generator service.

We recently moved into our home and inherited an old olive green ac unit. AC unit worked but ran constantly. Called Koch heating and cooling to schedule an appointment to have the AC serviced. Jarrett came out and did all of the normal maintenance checks, but he really took his time to help me understand how to better take care of my furnace (so that it lasts longer). He also helped me order the correct size furnace filters and he explained the importance & timeline of getting my air conditioner checked in the Spring. I really appreciate his time and attention to the details. I will most definitely continue to use and recommend them!

I called K&W regarding a pungent smell coming out of the furnace exhaust suspecting a secondary heat exchanger failure. They were able to send a tech within 1 hour of my initial call. Zach thoroughly inspected the furnace and confirmed the exchanger failure. He explained my options and we decided to go with the replacement of the heat exchanger. The next day they called me and told me that they received the part and would be able to install it today. The installation went smoothly and took about 4 hours. In addition to the furnace, Zach noticed an improperly installed water heater vent and offered to fix it. He takes pride in his work and is committed to doing everything with the best quality possible. Looking at his work, I notice that every pipe is correctly supported, every gromet is properly installed, every seal is neat, the workplace is cleaned up, etc. Zach also took his time to answer several questions regarding maintenance and common problems with my furnace. I am very happy with the experience and from now on will call K&W for all my HVAC issues.

I use Koch and White because of their excellent customer service. Even knowing that, I am continually impressed with their service. It was the cold of winter and I had a broken furnace (I am sure a very busy time for them), and Rose Mary was able to find time in their service schedule to have a tech help us the same day. The tech, Jarrett, was great. He took the time to explain to my husband and me what part was broken, how it operated in the furnace and why it was needed. He did not talk down to us, but he also did not speak too techy to us. We both came away with a clear understanding of the situation. He was fast (but not rushed), efficient, on-time and professional. I have and will continue to recommend K&W for heating and cooling services.

Ive been very pleased with my experience with Koch & White. They serviced my A/C unit a few years ago and more recently checked out my furnace, which ended up needing a part replaced. Both technicians were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. In the latter case, the replacement was covered by warranty. Out of curiosity, I asked for a quote from another company and their estimate was over 3x the amount K&W was charging. During the replacement itself, the tech took the time to explain what had happened and what to keep an eye out for in case any further issues developed.I tend to be suspicious of glowing reviews, but I honestly cant recommend them enough.

As a first time homeowner, when my air conditioning unit in my townhouse stopped working I had little knowledge of where to turn. Koch & White was extremely professional, they came out right away to assess the situation. After discovering the issue could not be fixed the technician discussed options for a new unit. I was able to schedule an installation time quickly, and when a sooner installation date became available the company called and let me move up my install date. They even rewired my furnace for me after they discovered a major wiring error, something a different company had installed incorrectly!Throughout the process everyone I spoke with was professional and courteous, they even refunded me when a paperwork error resulted in me not receiving my 2% discount! I had many questions throughout the process and they answered every one of them.

They are just fabulous! We moved into our home 20 years ago. That first winter, our furnace died and we called our usual heating person; they told us they could come in 2 days! It was cold and so were we. We looked through the phone book and called Koch and White who did not know us. They came that day; they became our new heating and cooling service. That first experience has been replicated in many ways over the last 20 years. They are not the least expensive service in the area, nor the most expensive. However, if we rate cost and service, they are the best value for the money I can imagine.

We are so grateful that they were able to come to our house same day as brand new customers when our furnace broke during a cold spell. Andy very carefully inspected everything, identified, and fixed the problem. Will only be using these guys from now on.

Christmas Eve 24 we woke to no heat in our house. Of course, we had guests staying over, upstairs, and our bedroom is downstairs. With just two very small space heaters, we couldnt imagine staying warm. Being relatively new to the state, we had no one in mind who could help, but we called Koch & White, and they sent someone over the same day. No extra charge for holiday visit.Nathan showed up and was as cheerful and professional and quick as one could imagine. He identified the problem within 5 mins--a broken igniter--and said he thought he had the part in his truck. Turns out he didnt, but he drove back to the shop, picked up an interim part that has now worked for two weeks, and installed that in a jif. No extra charge for the driving and extra visit that day.Then he ordered the actual manufacturers original part, and came back yesterday to change that out for the interim part. Nathan called before he arrived, worked fast, and was nothing but professional, friendly, and gracious. This could have been a horror story (Christmas we also had guests in for dinner), and instead its just a story with a great ending. Nathan was great, and Koch & White absolute professionals in setting it all up. (I do not give 5 stars easily, if ever.) Highly recommend with no reservation.
