Richard and Mike from Vedder came to my condo to update and relocate the electrical panel for the sump pump. They were outstanding -- polite, efficient, punctual, and they used foot coverings every time they had to come into my home. I highly recommend them!

We needed a foyer chandelier replaced and three new pendant lights installed. Spoke with Matt and he was very helpful, got us scheduled a week later. Zach arrived on-time and was courteous. He completed the job in a reasonable timeframe and cleaned up. The lighting looks great. All for just over $500 which I think is fair.

We tried Vedder on a whim when prices soared with electricians that we had used earlier (we saw Vedder trucks in many neighborhoods and assumed that they must be doing something right!)We immediately got a sense of confidence when we called the office and spoke with Lou who is top-notch and seems to knows all the questions to ask about the project, what products work best, options to consider, etc.The first project with Vedder in 2022 was small; about one day of work to help rewire a hot tub and install several outlets in the basement. We had a very good experience with Matt - lots of useful info and excellent suggestions. So, we asked for Matt to come out again in 2024 when we wanted to install some EV chargers, outdoor gazebo lines, bathroom ventilation fans, and an outlet on a two-story foyer.This was a multi-day project that involved a few electricians at times, but was led mainly by Matt. Like many projects there are often surprises that come up once the work gets underway. For example, some of the replacement ventilation fans were too big for the space and had to be moved. We expected to have to do drywall repair, but Matt did the drywall repair himself and youd struggle to see that there was a big hole in the ceiling left by the earlier fan.The work on the gazebo line was fantastic. Matt ran PVC underground and was able to get thru the concrete patio to wire extendable outlets for speakers, lighting, etc. Really really nice work!!Matt also installed these cool extendable outlets for the EV chargers, so they will just pull out from the wall; very helpful as we are covering the walls with Proslat. There should be a movie made on how Matt and Kevin got from the upstairs attic to the garage to the basement to get this wiring done. Wow!And when the day ends, youd hardly know they were there! They clean-up and treat your house well.We feel that Vedder (and Matt in particular) provides excellent service and the services are well priced. Trustworthly company with one superhero-level electrician!

Matt came out at the tail end of the day and troubleshot a strange problem around the house for a couple hours until he found the culprit.We werent expecting anyone for a week, so Im pleased with the promptness. He was very professional and kind and the price is good for the service. Ill be using Vedder if I need any more electrical work done.

They are always professional, effective, efficient (They make recommendations to try to save me money), kind, and make me feel safe even if Im home alone. They are also careful with keeping doors closed when there are pets. Lou is always kind on the phone too! 100% recommend.

Vedder is the only electrician I’ll use in the area. Everyone I’ve dealt with at the company has been conscientious, professional, and performs work of the highest quality. We’ve had Vedder techs out for two separate service calls, both very involved - one to install a grounding box in the house and another to redo our two prong outlets and install new light fixtures. Both times, the techs were amazing - not only did they do quality work, but they cleaned up all the mess afterwards. And they’re just nice people, easy to work with, they explain things patiently and help you make the right decisions for your home and budget. We’ll always call Vedder first.

Great customer service. I had a new panel and whole-home surge protector installed and wanted to share some kudos. Good trades companies are hard to come by, but Vedder did a good job. Even after a couple of issues, the customer service they provided was great and Im a satisfied customer who will use Vedder again. I cant say the same for another local trade: Hutzels has lost all credibility with me and I wont be using them again.

They were responsive, efficient, and highly competent. A fellow named Vedder came out (not the father-owner) and his work was superb. This is not a quality I have observed in many contractors in AA since we moved from the DC area. Highly recommended!!!

I recently purchased an older home that needed some work. Of all the different companies I worked with, Vedder Electric was by far the best! Matt came out twice to do some rewiring. He was great to work with and did an amazing job. They went above and beyond to make sure the work was done right and that I was satisfied.

Very pleased. Matt was on time, knew what he was doing, worked quickly. Replaced a ceiling fan and two bathroom fans. Pointed out a dangerous shortcut taken when installing the original ceiling fan and fixed it. Prevented a big mess by observing that the fan in a third bathroom would not fit before tearing up the ceiling.

My sweet vintage dryer finally gave out, and in the process of replacing it, just one phone call with Lou gave me some critical info I needed to avoid some potentially costly and inefficient pitfalls -- as she said, so I can make an informed decision. Im just so glad I called them.

Vedder responded immediately to an electrical problem I was having in my kitchen. Problem wound up being in an external generator panel which had tripped beakers due to the main panel tripping because of a short. Jeff at Vedder spent fifteen minutes trying to talk me through any of the obvious problems it might have been and sent me on my way. I eventually gave up and called them to come out and take a look. I figured itd be a couple of days or even weeks before they could take a look but 45 minutes later Bill was standing at my door. Bill was knowledgable and professional and solved my problem in a matter of minutes. He also took the extra time to finish installing several GFIs Id been installing and cleaned up the mess Id made. Bottom line is that Vedder was helpful, professional, knowledgable and got the job done right when I called them for help. I would definitely go back to them and recommend them to others.

Ive used Vedder for various residential electrical work 3 or 4 times now. Each time Im blown away by the quality of the work, the professionalism and courtesy from the workers, and the effort that is put in to make sure the job can be completed with as little disruption as possible. I also appreciated that each time they let me know when there is some potential loud noise since I have a couple of kids that are sensitive to that. Ive had different people come out from Vedder for the different jobs, but there is always a consistency in the work and they make sure to discuss the project and float ideas on how to best conduct it. No surprises on the final bills either. These guys work hard and are worth it. Look forward to our next project. Thanks.

I cant believe anyone would rate a company 1 star because they live outside of their service area. I have no affiliation with this company, and have never even spoken to them, but couldnt help but notice how ridiculous it was that someone did that! I give this company 5 stars for sticking to their business model and recognizing that they can provide better service if they are a short drive from their customers. It also indicates that they have plenty of demand for their services close to home, and that they dont need to spread out to find work!The only one looking bad from that review is the person who posted it.
