Select Kitchen & Bath remodeled the small master bathroom in my DC condo. They removed the tub, sink, vanity, toilet & installed a walk-in, tiled shower and new vanity, fixtures and pocket door. Sergio was masterful and patient in designing every detail, incorporating a couple of my ideas he initially questioned, accompanying me to choose tiles, fixtures, etc. Luis did flawless work throughout, from tiling to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and was an absolute pleasure, always willing to explain and answer my questions. Their work was completed on schedule. The only problem arose with the initial subcontractor who was unable to install the frameless sliding glass doors in the shower. After five visits, the shower doors leaked a lot. Rick then contracted with Dulles Glass which installed new doors perfectly. This delayed the completion of the bathroom but was handled well by Rick. Im thrilled with my new bathroom!

We hired Select Kitchen & Bath to tackle our massively complex Owners bathroom project. From beginning to end, we were super happy with Selects professionalism, design, installation, communication and final outcome.We worked with Derek to design our new bathroom and pick out materials. Derek was so patient with us when we made (a million) changes. Once we loved our design, it was time to execute it. Thats where Paul, Teddy & Ricardo came in.Paul, our project manager, much like Derek was super patient, had great communication and got the job done to our satisfaction. The workers were all polite and skilled.If I had one complaint, it would be that the project took TWICE as long as we were told and there were a lot of small mistakes made. They did fix all of the mistakes and we got it done - but it took almost 4 months.But, overall we are so happy with our bathroom!!

Washington, DC, Capitol Hill - We just completed our kitchen and our main bathroom with Select Kitchen & Bath a couple of weeks ago. The overall experience was great. We have had some other work done to our condo and experienced difficulty with communication on behalf of other contractors. Select was extremely accessible from the beginning until the end. Every email was answered within a day, if not within hours. The initial project manager, Derek, was easy to work with and knowledgeable about all materials, options, and costs. He worked within our budget and provided great suggestions for what we were looking to do. We did not have a lot of specific ideas for what we were looking for, so we really relied on him for guidance. We also found our assigned contractors for the Kitchen (Jaime) and the bathroom (Nick) to be professional, friendly, and thoughtful as to how they were working in our home. Rick and Joe, the supervisors, would always answer our texts, emails, or calls and were equally helpful along the way. They also stopped by almost daily to check up on the work, noticing things that would not have stood out to us, but that they fixed to make sure that the project met extremely high standards of workmanship. Importantly, we felt like we were never being taken advantage of and that they wanted the project to be done right. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and bathroom. In short, we would use them again.

Select Kitchen and Bath did a complete kitchen remodeling including replacing 40 year-old wiring, redesigning the location of appliances to provide 50% more counter space, installing a new ceiling with recessed LED lighting, installing new and expanded cabinetry and adding granite countertops. In addition they installed all the new appliances we purchased. They stayed on schedule (6 weeks) and on budget. We are extremely happy with the results.

I highly recommend Select Kitchen and Bath. They recently completed a multi-room remodel for my family that included a full gut and reconfiguration of the kitchen, full remodel of two bathrooms and a den, and the installation of a custom storage closet, new stairs, new flooring, and several heavy-duty doors. This company does it all! From the initial concept to the final punch list, Select was a pleasure to work with. We first met with a designer who thoughtfully walked us through the process, proposed layout and budget options, and discussed all the possibilities for fixtures and appliances. He then took us to several building supply stores to help pick out and coordinate the cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, paint, etc. He did a great job keeping our heads from spinning from all the decisions we had to make. We were then assigned a dedicated project manager who was always available onsite or on the phone to answer questions, provide suggestions, and keep the project on time and on budget. He also worked directly with the construction crew, who were all friendly and amazing workers. The crew were skilled craftsmen who paid attention to detail and made sure we were happy with every installation. Select, Kitchen and Bath did an amazing job sticking to a tight deadline and minimizing the time we spent out of our house. Our neighbors were always impressed with how many trucks showed up in front of our house each and every day to get the job completed on time. If you want honest, quality service thats delivered on time and on budget, go with Select Kitchen and Bath.

This winter Select Kitchen & Bath finished our kitchen. I wanted to wait on our review until the new kitchen smell was over and I could be more objective. I FREAKIN LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN!!!!! Derek was patient and helpful as we went over design choices. Rick came by on a regular basis to check on the progress and how we were feeling. The kitchen was over 30 years old and had never been refreshed much less redone. I wanted to make sure we made the right choices since we probably wouldnt be doing this again. It was a total gut job. The old cabinets had suffered water damage, we wanted to get rid of the peninsula, and move the fridge. New hardware, backsplash, sink, ... Joe, who did most of the work, was very detail oriented and worked hard to make our kitchen as perfect as possible.

Too long, didnt read: Would use again and recommend to friends and family.I required a bathroom repair (water leak required toilet to be removed and existing tile was removed) on my main floor bathroom. Rather than trying to match the remaining tile and have a repair job, we ended up deciding on doing a full remodel. I interviewed approximately 5 contractors in the area and went with Select Kitchen and Bath. They were extremely knowledgeable, and guided us through the entire process.In total we had installed: new toilet, new tub, new vanity, new mirrored cabinet, new light fixture. New floor and wall tile. We also had a new bathroom vent installed as there was not one existing, and a new window as the existing one was most likely original to the house (1958). The construction in total took 2.5 weeks.It has been approximately 1 month since the project was completed and I am as happy with the results as I am when it was first completed. This is our only tub in the house and with a small child we are exclusively bathing in there.I worked with Derek to initiate the project, get an estimate and order parts and cabinetry. I worked with Rick who organized and managed the on-site work. Richard was the person who single-handedly turned a broken, dilapidated bathroom into a beautiful new oasis in the house. All were extremely helpful and dedicated to creating the best experience and outcome for me and my family.

Select Kitchen and Bath did an outstanding job updating the very small master bedroom bathroom in my older home. I used Select around six years ago for my kitchen and they did an outstanding job with that space, too.Since the bathroom was very small, Derek Baxter, the kitchen designer, did an excellent job designing and recommending products that would make the bathroom area appear larger -- such as large tile and a simple frameless shower doors. He was very patient with my changing mind and my wishes to stay within my budget. Once the job began, everything went very well and the team worked with a lot of enthusiasm and attention to detail throughout the working timeframe. They were very pleasant and at the end of the day cleaned up beautifully. Teddy, the lead bathroom renovator and his helper did a phenomenal job of cutting and measuring every tile perfectly, cutting it perfectly square, and spacing each tile perfectly. There was not one incorrect measurement in the bathroom -- sink, toilet, light fixture, medicine cabinet, towel rack, and TP dispenser were centered correctly -- and meticulously placed straight. I am very pleased with a job very well done and would hire them again for the next bathroom.

We chose Select Kitchen and Bath because they were recommended to us as a local distributor for the custom cabinets (by Lancaster Maid) we wanted for our kitchen remodel. The remodel entailed complete demolition and installation of new plumbing, electrical, flooring, switching from gas to induction range, etc, in a 1920 house with a small kitchen dating from the 50s. From the start, we were pleased with the design work that the Select team put into the project, particularly as we had space constraints. And once the work started, we were impressed with the skill, efficiency, and attention to detail throughout, from the care that went into re-insulating wall/floor spaces opened up to route plumbing and electrical, to the masterful paint work (including almost daily touch-ups as the work proceeded), to the follow-up in fitting a trim piece to a mostly-hidden under-cabinet corner. The work was done well and on schedule, and we are so very happy with the new kitchen!

We could not be happier with the outcome of the master bathroom remodel. The process (from first consultation with Derek whose overall expertise in the business helped guide us to the best decisions concerning products and design); construction phase, final follow-through, and the constant attention to detail that both Luis (the craftsman who did the actual remodel) and Rick (the Project Manager who ensured a very smooth transition through every phase) displayed. While everyone at Select Kitchen & Bath that we had contact with was very professional and knowlegeable, we must highlight Luis as the star of the show. Luis arrived promptly every day, and executed every phase of construction with old world craftsmanship. He ensured that there was never any uncertainty during the project - when there were questions as to what we wanted (such as handle heights, hardware location, etc), he would always check with us before moving forward; we were never surprised. At the end of every day, Luis would leave the work area meticulously clean, and ready for the next day. We would highly recommend Select Kitchen & Bath for your bathroom projects without hesitation. An outstandingly excellent job.

We just had Select Kitchen and Bath install a tiled walk-in shower, along with some other ancillary work. They did an excellent job on everything. The planning with Sergio went smoothly. The workers, Joe and Luis, doing the installation were first rate. Some adjustment to the framing was necessary because the house is of an historic period, and it was handled seamlessly. The tile installation was top-notch. Rick, the owner/manager checked on the progress regularly and responded in an engaging way to any questions and led us through any decisions that we had to make. We are very pleased with the result. We had Select do some work previously, and we waited until they had an opening for this job because we knew they would do the job well and would be good to work with.

My husband and I were long overdue for a renovation on our 30-year old kitchen. The cabinet drawers creaked each time opened because of water damage and there were other unsightly problems. We met several contractors and chose Select Kitchen & Bath. From the pre-renovation meeting to the end of the project, Select Kitchen was all hands on. The renovations stayed on schedule and we can not be more pleased with the high quality and workmanship of the crew. We are so impressed with the professionalism of Derek, Paul and Luis, that we hired Select Kitchen again to renovate our bathrooms. We are confident we will receive the same masterful work as done on our kitchen. We give them 10 stars!

Our bathroom remodeling experience with Select Kitchen & Bath was great, and we were really pleased with the results. We had one original hall bathroom that needed remodeling and another which they added in our basement (plumbing, electrical, design etc.) We found Select Kitchen & Baths pricing to be in-line with their competitors, but their prompt responses to all of our inquiries made them an easy choice. We worked with Derek to design our bathrooms, and he was incredibly helpful with choosing colors, fixtures, flooring etc. Our project manager/owner Rick checked in with us almost daily as soon as the work started. He was available all hours to answer any questions we might have had about the process. We had one crew throughout the entire project led by Jaime and they were equally wonderful. We are very happy with the results, and will definitely go to them first when we inevitably remodel our master bathroom next. We highly recommend Select Kitchen & Bath!

My husband and I recently had two bathrooms (one full, one half) completely remodeled by Select Kitchen & Bath and are pleased to highly recommend their business. The project was smooth from start to finish, with proactive and transparent communication throughout. We had a firm deadline by which the work needed to be completed and, despite supply chain delays and high project demand, Select worked with us to schedule our project and have it completed well in advance of our deadline.We live in a small house with bathrooms that hadnt been remodeled since approximately the 1970s. While this created some challenges, especially in terms of work space while my husband and I continued to live in the house, the Select team was always respectful and professional while in our home. Luckily we did not run into any major snags, but we did request some additional pipe replacement work which was completed without any major delays for a reasonable cost.We worked with Amanda for scheduling, Serigo for project planning and materials selection, Rick and Derek for project management, and Jaime and Joe completed the projects in our house.

We had an excellent experience working with Select for a kitchen renovation in early 2024. As part of the estimate process they took full measurements of the kitchen space and surrounding rooms to generate early renderings of the final product. The proposal was comprehensive. Once we started to make more selections the renderings improved in fidelity such that we had a very good sense of the final product prior to making the first major financial commitment (i.e., cabinet order). When the work started the crew assigned was at our house making progress every business day of the job’s duration. They protected our floors and cleaned up after themselves daily. The primary carpenter was experienced and very skilled. From our perspective the job was complex as we knocked down a load bearing wall (now supported by LVL beam), had to move multiple radiator and vent pipes, had lead paint within the walls that were being disturbed, did a wholesale replacement of everything in the kitchen (gutted to studs on all sides), and requested a continuation of hardwood flooring without transition. To complicate matters, during the old kitchen floor demo it was discovered we had asbestos tile underneath. Select’s project management team helped us navigate all of these challenges and hazards smoothly. Given the unexpected nature of the asbestos abatement they passed along the subcontractor’s estimate without a markup. The master plumber they used was also very skilled. He re-routed the steel radiator pipe runs using the appropriate heat-rated pex material. As the final product came together the experienced carpenter’s pride in his work was evident. He had an acute eye for the finer details. We are extremely happy with the finished product. From start to finish the job took just shy of 2 months. That was much to our liking.

Finding professional people to work on your home who are responsive, on time and do so with competitive pricing and excellent quality work shouldnt be hard...and with Select Kitchen and Bath, its not. Contracting work involves a lot of people, each with their own roles and these guys operate like a machine. I had a small renovation of a powder room and a new sink and faucet to be installed in my master bath. They gave me the best price to the competing bids and once selected, they mobilized in a few days from signing the contract. They were completely comfortable allowing me to select and provide my own materials and fixtures and even had a great suggestion on a small sink for the tight space as well as guiding me through my flooring purchase and reminding me the flooring I selected needed a special underlayment. They helped me source that underlayment on a small scale for my project so that I wouldnt have to overspend and buy too much of it. My toilet had a leak and they diagnosed and fixed that at no extra charge. They were fully communicative throughout the entire process with the project manager checking in daily. They finished a day early and when they departed, all that was left behind was my beautifully renovated powder room. If you didnt select Select Kitchen and Bath, you made a poor selection!

Select Kitchen and Bath did a complete kitchen remodel for us and we’re extremely happy with the results. They are professional, patient, skilled and responsive. The bottom line is, they did a great job. Over the last twenty years several companies have worked on our home, but Select Kitchen and Bath goes to the head of the line. We had Select remodel or renovate 3 of our bathrooms - the second two because we were so pleased with their work in our master bathroom. They also replaced the tile in our main entryway. The designers worked with us to find color and material combinations that we liked and were in our budget. The estimates were transparent and detailed. We had Tur doing the installation in all 3 and he was extremely meticulous. Every day we had communications from the project manager (Rick or Paul). When problems arose due to existing issues in the house, they were clear and transparent about what needed to be done and the costs. They have also been quick to follow up when unexpected issues arose after the project was completed. We would and do recommend them for anyone we know looking to do bathroom remodeling.

We used Select Kitchen & Bath to renovate our main and hall bathrooms. They replaced sinks/vanities, lighting, shower fixtures, shower doors, and the tile flooring. They also removed an outdated jacuzzi and installed new bathroom cabinets. They did an excellent job on all aspects of the project. The initial planning with Derek, including the selection of the replacement pieces, tiles, and paint, went smoothly. He is an astute listener, with a good eye for design. He understood our needs and offered us selections that met those needs and also met our price points. The technicians/installers, Joe, Ricardo, and Lou, who performed the work were first rate. They prepared our apartment for the renovation work so as to minimize impact on our living space and environment. They worked diligently, efficiently, and with great skill and attention. Rick and John, the project managers, were also top-notch and coordinated closely with their team and with us throughout the project. Some adjustments to the project were necessary because of the way the plumbing and electrical wiring in the building are configured, and due to how previous owners of our unit had modified the old floor tiling. All of those adjustments were handled by Joe and Ricardo, as well as Rick, with professionalism, and with little interruption to the project schedule. The tile installation in particular was impressive with beautiful end results in both bathrooms. Rick checked on the project progress regularly and responded to all our questions and concerns. He also gave us helpful advice on any new decisions we had to make. In summary, we are very pleased with our renovated bathrooms and will certainly use Select Kitchen & Bath again for future renovation projects.

I want to thank Select Kitchen & Bath for the amazing job they did! From the first day meeting Derek, who came and did the assessment, I knew I was in the right hands. He asked questions I hadn’t even thought about and gave great design advise for resale. They were not the cheapest bid but the most thorough and there were no surprises. When the project started after a delay due to Covid the company was very professional following strict protocol to keep the area clean. John, the project manager, stayed on top of the bathroom install and was on-sight every couple of days checking the work. They are wonderful at answering emails and phone calls as well. Orlando was the contractor and his work was meticulous! He took such care to do the job right, as if this was his own bathroom. I decided to change some hall lights, as well as install a barn door and they were great at working with me to pick out product to make sure it would fit the space perfectly. I have already recommended them to two other friends and can’t say enough at what a positive experience it has been working with the company and this team!

We selected Select Kitchen & Bath for the complete remodel of a small bathroom. Everyone was very professional, the work was excellent and they were punctual and responsive. In my opinion, it is better to pay a bit more for a hassle free environment, and that is what they delivered. They handled all of the work with permits and inspections seamlessly.There were a couple of do-overs, resulting from improper alignment of a medicine cabinet and a towel rack, but these were taken care of quickly. The only delay was in delivery of the shower door, and that was outside of their control. Otherwise, the job was completed on time.I especially appreciated Dereks design work. He was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions throughout the process. I ordered many of the components myself, including a lighting fixture and mirror, and he was very helpful in that selection process. The fact that it was such a small space made the design very important in order to provide enough storage space. We were pleased that the design accommodated those space requirements very well.Rick was always there when needed to oversee the process and answer our questions. Luis was a hard worker and arrived punctually every day and kept the job on schedule.

Superb job! We had an overall great experience with Select Kitchen & Bath that produced a beautiful kitchen we absolutely love. They listened to our design requirements, made helpful suggestions for areas we were undecided on and worked with us to develop a detailed kitchen design. Professional and personable throughout, their communications with us were outstanding to include regular communications once the project got started. Their suggestions for detailed finishing ideas (something we hadn’t completely thought through) were very helpful and further enhanced our design. For the most part we were very happy with the workmanship. In areas where we expressed concerns, they addressed them to our satisfaction. The end result was a complete kitchen renovation with a beautiful result. We will definitely use Select for future renovations.

We hired Select Kitchen & Bath to remodel two full bathrooms. From the very beginning we knew we had made the right decision going with them. Derek, the interior decorator, helped us every step of the way in choosing the materials, fixtures, paint color, cabinets and counter tops. He knew exactly what was needed, including wall niches which we didnt even think of, and made excellent recommendations. He was always available to answer questions thru telephone or email. We were then put in touch with the project manager, John, who was also extremely helpful and professional. As an example of the level of detail the company provides, when the cabinets were delivered, John inspected them and noticed one of them had been slightly damaged. We didnt notice until he had told us that he had already ordered a replacement! During the remodel the contractor, Scott, was always on time and coordinate with us if anything needed answering. He placed floor coverings everywhere he needed to go thru to get to the bathrooms, and every day he kept a clean work area. Overall we are enjoying the bathrooms very much and extremely satisfied with the company, and the workmanship Select Kitchen & Bath provides.

Select Kitchen and Bath is an excellent company for remodeling work. I interviewed them based on a friends recommendation after seeeing the remodel of her kitchen. The convincing statement she made was that they work with you all through the project and they inform you if the selections you make are going over budget. I found this to be true from our initial meeting with them and through the entire project. Select is a highly professional organization, honest, detailed in their work and timely. Derek Baxter, our initial sales contact was was excellent in answering all our questions and he continued to do so throughout our project. Rick Kimmel our project manager was excellent. He guided us all though the project. He was extremely detailed and always responsive to all our concerns. They worked consistently on the project informing us of what the next steps were and discussed any issues that arose. We were given options on how to resolve the issues which we appreciated. There was never any pressure to choose an option. it was always our decision. The craftsmanship of the work is outstanding. I am extremely satisfied with my new kitchen. In addition, Select has been very responsive to our questions even 2 years past the completion of this work. They have helped us resolve some minor issues. I feel I can call them anytime. My wife and I recently finished completely remodeling our kitchen and master bath with Select Kitchen and Bath. We could not have been happier with both the process and the outcome for several reasons.First, throughout the design process, Select Kitchen and Bath worked with us to create and refine designs that balanced both our functional and aesthetic goals with our budget goals. The kitchen design especially was extremely creative in the use of space and creating a design that seamlessly fits into our overall floor plan.Second, we were scheduled to begin work in third week March. As it turned out, this coincided with the start of the COVID-19 lockdown. In spite of the obstacles the lockdown presented, the work was started and completed on schedule. The work being done on the kitchen and master bath was isolated and sealed off from us while we were working from home. When it was necessary to consult us about our preferences involving specific details such as the exact placement of lights and cabinet nobs, social distancing and PPE protocols were maintained at all times.Third, the attention to detail in completing the work was outstanding. Over the years, we’ve had several occasions to work with contractors to do both kitchen and bath remodeling and to build custom homes. This was by far the best experience both in terms of the process and final outcome that we’ve ever had and highly recommend Select Kitchen and Bath for any kitchen and bath remodeling work.

SKB completed two full bath remodels. They did such a good job that I hired them to do the kitchen. Kimmel helped me design the project and did not try to upsell me. The projects was completed on time and within budget. His foreman kept me informed every step of the way, and they cleaned up daily so I did not have to worry about a mess. I highly recommend them, and I will hire them to remodel the last full bath in the house.

Kitchen Select took over from two previous contractors, rescued me from a (literal and figurative) hole, and expediently finished our renovation better than we had imagined it, all miraculously in time for my wife and me to move back into our house a week before we gave birth to our first child during COVID-19. The challenges this team took on and the professionalism with which they dealt with each - poorly performed inherited work, complications due to the age of the house, challenges due to mistakes with design, and our haste to move back in before the birth, just to name a few - absolutely stunned us. They are a pleasure to work with and do a great job at a great price. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. If you’re looking for a contractor, Select is the one.
