I cannot say enough good things about my experience with RALCO and our new generator installation. From the first call to Jon, the salesman, to our follow up visit from Josh, the very-thorough, generator tech, all were knowledgeable, professional, patient and polite. They showed up on time and brought folding work tables to make the challenging project easier. The electricians, Fabio and Troy, in addition to all their hard work wiring the new unit, even supplied their own trash receptacle! There was not a single snip of wire, electrical tape, or plastic wrap in sight! The subs, Ryan and Eddie, from RB Masonry, were fantastic. Not only was the reinforced concrete pad extension poured to straight and level perfection, their heavy-equipment maneuvering was flawless in a very tight location. Bruce and Austin did the work on the gas line and went to the extra effort of painting the exposed line. Leo, who delivered the new unit, was very reassuring amongst all the activity. A day I was anxiously anticipating turned out to be successful and pleasant! A+ RALCO!

Ralco did an awesome job coordinating every aspect of our standby generator installation. From the first time doing the walk through and quote through the permitting, the site work / excavation, to the hookup, inspection and commissioning everything was well done. Communication was excellent with a project manager that I could text with morning, noon or night. Every person that even came over, including their sub-contractors, were all awesome to work with. Extremely pleased with how well the entire project went.

Had a problem with my generator not starting; it is only two years old by the way. Ralco tried at first to fix the problem on the phone, as I followed Jons directions , but there was not an easy fix to be had. Later in the week, they sent out Josh, their best problem solver for electrical issues I think, and he diagnosed and fixed the problem within the week. Why I am raving about this service is because Josh spent the time researching, on his own time, how many starters of this particular model and manufacture had problems. There were a few others made about when mine was made that required early replacement. Voila! the company replaced the starter for free. Hes the best.Judy Matteson

With the storm 12/18 my generator experienced a problem and stopped running. Fortunately, I have a service/maintence contract with Ralco. When I called to report my problem they were extremely helpful. They even had Joe out here within an hour to get things up and running. He did an amazing job under horrible weather conditions . I am extremely grateful for his work as we were on generator power for 3 days.I am also very grateful for the person in the office who talked me though doing an oil check which needs to be done after 24 hours of continual usage.Im sorry I dont remember her name. Ralco sent Matt Garcia to evaluate the need for a standby generator. I had obtained 2 orher quotes. He was the only one who analyzed accurately the BTUs needed and we realized that we were in a low pressure natural gas area. RI Energy came and installed a larger pipe to the house. All extra cost. Matt worked with us. He was always available, returned calls and made the whole thing happened. I gave 4 stars because the day the electricians showed up, no one had made us aware that they shut down the electricity for 6 hrs+. If you work from home you absolutely need to know and make orher arrangements. There was some poor communication to get the plumber back but all and all, I would highly recommend Ralco. They definitely know what there doing and in all fairness it is a huge project.

We contracted with Ralco to install a new whole house generator. They were highly professional and communicative from start to finish. From Matt in sales to Josh and Jason in project management to John arranging final startup, I always received a response as soon as I needed it. The landscapers, electricians and heating guys all did very neat and clean work. They arranged permits and inspections...basically all parts of the project were handled seamlessly. When we needed an expedited startup due to an oncoming storm, they made it happen. Would highly recommend!

We recently contacted Ralco about replacing our 15+ year old, 12KW Kohler generator. It had seen better days and was burning oil at a rapid pace. Here in Little Compton we are prone to power outages, sometimes for no apparent reason, so whole house generators are common. Josh Benoit responded promptly, came to meet with us and reviewed a number of options to consider. We were most interested in options that allowed us to keep parts of the system(i.e. transfer switch and wiring between the generator and the transfer switch); and, rewiring to add components to the generator. Josh worked with us to craft a proposal that reflected our wishes. We decided on a new, better featured 14KW Kohler generator that could tie into our existing transfer switch and allow us to keep the existing wiring between the two. On top of that, we included switching out some circuits at the transfer switch to add the lighting, outlets, etc. that were important for us to have on the generator.Within a month of executing our Agreement with Ralco, we had the new generator in place, and operational! Kudos to Josh and his 5-man installation team! All were very easy to work with. They hit the ground running early on installation day, and had us on-line by shortly after noon time.

Great company very responsive. had a hiccup during installation so i called to speak to Renee, the owner, office said he wasnt in but would call me back. Renee called me back within 60 minutes from a family vacation in Mexico. Listened to me promised me a call back on Monday mid morning, this was a Friday, he called me back Monday at 1030 with his install manager in the office and they had me up and running by 530 that day. The service is personal, they remember your name, they always call you back. Ive met a few of the employees between the install and yearly service and they are the same crew, not many new faces. To Renee this is personal he is still able and qualified to install a generator, he came out and supervised the commissioning of my generator.

I have two generators; both had problems. One was simple -- a dead battery. The other looks simple in retrospect, but 3 other techs on prior service calls had missed the issue. Issue: The generator was hard-starting. It didnt start until the 3rd or 4th attempt. I was afraid it might not start at all or the battery might die first. Zach (the technician) decided to investigate, succeeding where others had failed. It turns out that the vacuum tube was clogged. Once he figured that out, it was an easy and cheap fix.

I recently purchased a 20KW Kohler whole house generator from RALCO and had them do the installation. They have the most friendly and courteous staff I have ever dealt with. From the young lady who answered the phone on my initial contact to the final startup technician, they were all exceptionally helpful. My first face to face contact was with salesman Josh Benoit. He was knowledgeable and went through the installation process and cost involved. He explained they would take care of everything including permits,inspections, unit set up, electrician ,gas line, and final startup. Nothing was needed from me. I am a very skeptical person and the thought of handing him a $6000 check down payment was unnerving to say the least. I told him I would think about it. By the time he got back to RALCO he face timed me and gave a tour of the warehouse and showed me the generators in stock. At that point he sold me and I signed a contract and felt good about it. Without Josh taking the extra effort I would have passed. There was never any pressure put on me. Communication was excellent and I knew what day and time workers were coming . They all were professional and prompt. It was refreshing to work with Josh and a company who made you feel that I was their top priority .
