Had a great experience working with James. He was super responsive when I reached out to him and was more up-front and transparent then the majority of other installers I talked to. He wasnt trying to sell me on other stuff like many others. The price was unbeatable, and the quality of work was top-notch. Im always a little bit hesitant when going with the lowest price as often you get what you pay for, but my experience with James was great and I feel like I got an amazing deal on high-quality work.

James is the man! I called him as my water heater was flooding and he instantly walked me thru what to do to immediately stop the flooding over the phone. We talked thru what my options were. He was booked out a few days so he told me what type of water heater I would need and then a price range of what a ‘good deal’ would be and told me to call around. I got two other quotes, one that was 4x the price James quoted me, the other was 2x the price. I ended up waiting the few days for his schedule to be available. He came out and had the new system installed within a couple of hours. He was extremely helpful WAY before there was any money involved. He was the cheapest by far, and he was also the most professional and kind out of anyone I talked to. I cannot speak highly enough about Half Price Water Heaters! His expertise and customer service were next level!

We had a 15 year old water heater. James installed a new unit for us for a fair price and did a great job. I asked if he would also give us a quote for a water softener. He said yes, and that hed be happy to install one if wed like but that we should test the water first. He tested the water, and told me our water wasnt hard enough for him to recommend a softener. I was so impressed by his honest. He did a fantastic job installing the water heater as well. Could not recommend more!

Half Price Water Heaters delivered! My water heater had been cracked and leaking for a while before we realized there was an issue. I had been shopping different companies for several days, but always felt that the quotes I was being given seemed to be far too high. I found this company through a Google search and reached out. James got back to me within an hour and was able to give me a quote that same day. The price I was given lived up to the company name.The day of my install, James arrived on time, worked efficiently, and was completed in the 2 hour window he had estimated. He even went above an beyond in fixing an issue with my HVAC exhaust pipe at no additional cost. I will be keeping the info for this company for future reference. I would absolutely recommend Halt Price Water Heaters to anyone needing work on a water heater.

My water heater started leaking, and I found James online. He was very responsive to all of my texts and questions. I had one other plumber that quoted me for a slightly lesser price and James matched it while providing superior service. He was very transparent and knowledgeable. He changed our configuration to be more efficient and fixed a few things that he discovered free of charge. I would definitely recommend him for future plumbing needs.

I am very glad I did a Google Search for water heater replacements in Salt Lake and read all of the other great reviews from other clients that have use Half Price Water Heaters. James and Half Price Water Heaters were fantastic and I will definitely use him again in the future! Before finding James, another company came out and said the water heater was completely broken and the whole thing needed to be replaced for $2500. After contacting James and describing the situation, he was confident that the water heater didnt need to be replaced and only needed a small repair. James was prompt, professional, and kept great communication (I live in Ohio so I couldnt meet him in person but he was great with communicating what was going on with me as the house owner as well as with my tenants). At the end of the day, contacting Half Price Water Heaters saved me $2400!

James was so great to work with! I called him 6 months ago and he helped me diagnose a bad gas valve, I opted to do the work myself and he did not even charge me for the help diagnosing! Turns out after 8 years I did indeed need a new water heater, so I gave James another call. He was quick to give me a call back and had me on the schedule for a replacement the next day! He was nice to chat with and had the old water heater out and new one installed in less than two hours. I was very impressed by his thorough efficient work and am happy that I now know a guy for all things water heater. I will be recommending James to all my friends.

This was completely an A+ experience from start to finish. James came out to do an estimate for a first time water softener install. Ive always wanted a water softener and in just one day I can definitely feel and see the difference! I love it! The install took a few hours along with his drywall guy..Im impressed with the system and the instruction I received. I basically just add salt. The drywall was patched to perfection and I will definitely call James first if I ever have need for any plumbing issues in the future.

I’m very impressed with James for several reasons. He returned my call within 15 minutes and was able to come out the very next morning to help us. He quoted me the exact figure it would be which really is half the price of the big companies. He came 15 minutes early. He diagnosed the problem with my water heater and explained things to me well. Our house is nearly 100 years old and so has been retrofitted to squeeze our hot water heater and furnace into a very tight space. It turns out that our furnace’s gas and electrical lines were installed over and in front of the water heater making it impossible to extract and replace it without dismantling the furnace. James explained this and referred us to Cody from Heavenly heating and air who he said is very trustworthy and fair priced as well and could reconfigure the gas and electrical lines and duct work. I asked him how much we owed him for his service and he said nothing since he couldn’t fix it. He is so honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend James from Half Price hot water heaters!

James just left my house after installing a new water heater. He was professional and super nice. It took him less than 2 hours to get it done. My washer was in the way, he moved it out of the way and noticed it needed new hose. He ran to Lowe’s and got a new set and replaced it at no cost, just for the materials. After he was done, he explained everything he did and what we needed to look out for. I will only use Half Price from here on out and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace their water heater. He was the third person I called for a quote and he had no hidden fees from the beginning. Other companies were literally charging double or triple what James charged us. Thank you again!

On occasion you get lucky and find someone who takes pride in their profession. I had a failed water heater. It failed principally due to poor installation after just six years. James didnt just come in and take charge of the installation of the new water heater. He reviewed modified the venting of my other water heater (I have two) and repaired my water softener connections as a kindness. He improved everything he touched.James price was almost $1,000.00 cheaper than quoted by the big plumbing company. Do yourself a favor, CALL JAMES.

I have to share my experience with my water heater issues in my South Jordan home. I had a water in the plate under the water a few times and I called 3 companies and described the problem. They all gave me quotes for water heater replacement (they are all very high than what it should be). Anyway, being clueless about what is going on, I was going to hire the one with the lowest quote but he wasnt returning my texts so I wanted to call someone else and picked Half Price Water Heaters. I descibed the problem, and James immmediately diagnosed the problem and told me how I can fix it by buying a tubing piece from home depot for less than $10! And I followed his advice and the problem went away. Feeling so thankful, I wanted to pay for his advice and he politely refused. What can I say? It is not easy to come across with honest contractors these days. Next time I have a water heater problems, I will only call James, no further research is necessary.

Called James and explained I likely needed a new water heater and wasnt sure about water softener system and how our old one was functioning. He had me take pictures and he pointed out a few things about how our old water heater was originally installed that made me realize it was not doing well and it was old anyway. He put in a high quality water heater, fixed and replaced some plumbing issues and put in a new expansion tank. Then went through and got my water softener working properly and recommended some steps I could take to keep it running well. Very professional, quality work and when I researched water heaters he had selected the best brand, model for my size home. Absolutely recommend!

We called James again and he came out within a few hours. Even though it was unrelated to his own work he fixed the faulty valve on the spot. I highly recommend his services.

GREAT PRICE! HONEST SERVICE!!!I called ESCO and they came out and quoted me $1700 to repair my Parents Water Heater and $2900 to replace it. They also wrote on the estimate that this was for a 10 year old Water Hater.I called Half Price Water Heaters and was quoted less than 1/3 of the price. The owner, James came to the house and within 2 minutes told me the repair would take a $15 part and an hour service fee. He was done in less than an hour. He also showed me on the water heater where it said it was only 6 years old. He was very pleasant to work with and extremely honest. I will recommend him to all of my friends and family in the future.

I wasnt lucky enough to hire James, as he was on call during an emergency flood (water heater rusted through) and my husband went ahead and contracted another company. I want to say, though, that the price James quoted was hundreds less, and he was so polite and helpful. I would definitely call him first if I ever needed him, and recommend his services to friends.

James did a great job installing the water heater, trained the tenant on how to use the water heater, and replaced the pressure valve at a discounted price. What a job, James.
