I had a list of 9 electrical items on an inspection report to be installed, rewired, wrapped, or improved. I was hoping to have everything fixed in one appointment. Joey came at noon and explained and showed each thing to me, like explaining what was done behind the panel box. He found things that the inspector did not, and he showed me these and added them to the punch list. He stayed all afternoon until after 6. I really appreciated that he didn’t stop to go to another appointment. Joey was professional, clearly very knowledgeable, and pleasant. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!

Spotted The Electric Man service online. Joseph P. contacted us prior to the set arrival time and let us know he was on the way. Showed him two wall sockets and two kitchen light fixtures that needed attention. All details and pricing of the replacements were fully communicated. With approval, Joseph set right to work. He worked steady and got the work done in a few hours. Plugs now fit snuggly into the sockets and do not wobble up and down. We went with similar, but new fluorescent LED fixtures in the kitchen and we were able to select the lighting intensity. Todays technology! Joseph did a fine job cleaning up -- disposing of all boxes and sweeping up. We all know that electrical work is not inexpensive and I feel The Electric Man total was fair. Should the need arise again, we will not hesitate to contact The Electric Man outfit!

Fast, Courteous, Comprehensive, Skilled, and the list goes on. The Electric Man responded when our house suffered a massive surge from a Lightning strike and he had us up and running in no time! He advised some upgrades to keep us safe moving forward which we will surely follow up with using their services.Rhett seemingly diagnosed and restored power to areas of our house within an hour to include 4 electric sockets that shorted out.I HIGHLY recommend The Electric Man! Outstanding Experience with The Electric Man! After a lightning storm, we were left with an inoperable modem and router, a set of speakers that just hummed and a gfi outlet in the garage that would not reset (door opener would not work) after looking into whole home surge protection, I contacted The Electric Man. Rhett put me right on the schedule and showed up himself. He had us back up and running in no time. Now with peace of mind if that happens again. When you add the cost of putting surge protection on all your devices, it just makes sense to go with whole home protection. Rhett is a great guy. Very personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Having him come back to tackle our list of electrical needs. I recommend you go no further down the list, call The Electric Man!!!

The Electric Man service was fast and professional! We were worked in right away. My electrical issues were resolved quickly and the rate was affordable. My technician highlighted some other unsafe and potential future problems and offered to repair while on-site but I chose to schedule another time and he was very polite and professional and said he’d be happy to return when I was ready. The techs were thoughtful and considerate about not traipsing dirt through the house, we’re dressed professionally in collared shirts even though they had to go under the house, and not pushy about adding on extra services. Super happy with the result and my new lights!

I honestly don’t even know where to start about Rhett and The Electric Man, but let me tell you… these guys are the real deal. My problem began with a pipe coming loose under my bathroom sink and getting water all down the hallway and middle of the home. That was one thing, but then we started to lose power in only half of the house a week later. No matter what we did the power in our living room and part of the kitchen would not stay on and the breaker tripped every time we turned it back on. We gave the Electric Man a call based on best reviews for electricians in the West Columbia area and they came out and surveyed our problem only a day after making the initial call. They are extremely polite, prompt and on time, and even vacuumed after themselves when they left! Rhett and his helpful apprentice Joey did the next most logical thing each time that we thought would solve our breaker tripping. Eventually they found the culprit and replaced a burnt up wire seen in the photo that was clearly an unsafe hazard. They are very honest and upfront about estimates and costs before they do any work. I was impressed by the integrity and courteousness of The Electric Man and would recommend them to anyone needing any electric work done in their home. Thank you Rhett and Joey!

Im a general contractor in north Georgia and have been in business for over twenty years. I came to SC to assist a family friend with their home remodel and addition. Not having the opportunity to utilize the services provided by my typical contractors, I was more than a little skeptical of what type of contractors Id be able to find. My power was out. My freezer food was melting. He said he had an opening in 2 weeks, but found a way to get to me by 1 p.m., basically saving me hundreds. In the past, he has installed a ceiling fan, changed light fixtures and upgraded outlets. After many disappointing experiences with others, I will never call anyone except Rhett. Hes not only dependable and professional, he is thoughtful and helpful. Ill recommend him to anyone.

We had The Electric Man do some electrical work for us. He was observant and took pictures and showed us the state of the wiring in our attic (60+ year old home) which we no longer visit. He reworked the wiring in the attic for us and took more pictures. He has replaced and upgraded the master circuit box for our home (old one was substandard from 25 years ago), identified circuits on the box for us (used to be a big mystery) and added a house-wide surge protector in the box. Together, he has worked with us to upgrade appliances, lights and fans throughout the house. He has added switches and dimmer switches where needed throughout the house. He is a professional in every way and his prices are reasonable. There are few contractors I trust, but Rhett has earned our respect and trust. We highly recommend him.
