    Very fair pricing, courteous and reliable. Came for multiple projects ( clogged toilet, leaking pipes) and explained what was going on and didn’t try to push us into buying things or fixing things we didn’t need. Worked with us and our hectic schedule; were very flexible, reliable, and trustworthy. Would def recommend them!Cheaper to write a check and avoid credit card service charge, so be prepared to write one if you want to save a little money.

    There’s no excuse to give them less than 5 stars. As a customer, I expect reasonable and professional service, and Hicks Plumbing delivered exactly that. Just before Christmas Day, my kitchen sink got clogged, and I found Hicks Plumbing on Google Maps. Despite the busy holiday season, they arrived at my home very quickly. The service was professional, and the fees were reasonable. I think I’ve found my go-to plumbing company!

    I had a late night emergency water leak. Tried to fix it myself and only made the matter worse. After calling them at 2 am on Saturday, Tony showed up within 30 minutes and got the issue resolved promptly. Very polite, professional and experienced. The price was reasonable. Will definitely hire them again for future projects. Highly recommended.

    Hicks Plumbing responded to an emergency call at 11 PM on a Friday night. They tried to trouble shoot some solutions to help us avoid paying for the emergency fees. We are a property management company, so once he arrived at the tenants property, he called for approval of any charge before completing the repair. His communication throughout the process was outstanding, and he quickly resolved the issue. I highly recommend Hicks Plumbing!

    I’m long time Hicks customer. Garbage disposal, kitchen sink installed utility tub in garage hot water heater install, and stuff I don’t remember. Always quality work.Today I had Tony back to fix a kitchen faucet that was so stiff it was turning. I assumed a new O ring. He checked it out and sprayed with WD 40 and no O ring. It worked. When I asked how much I owed him. His answewas nothing this time. Didn’t expect that, what a nice surprise!I will definitely continue using Hicks. I highly recommend them

    Called late on a Saturday afternoon/early evening for a leaking main shutoff valve. They answered promptly, took our info, and then had someone to our house all in less than 30 minutes. As a comparison, it took over 24 hours for another emergency plumber, who we called first, to even call us back.Our problem turned out to be a very easy repair that I should have known how to do myself, but thats my fault not theirs. Also cant fault them for the repair cost because they told us upfront what the after-hours/weekend emergency show up rate was. I have some other plumbing work that Ive been putting off and I will definitely contact them to get a quote.

    Tony has helped us out several times in a pinch. Recently we had a leak in the basement ceiling and guests were coming to stay in the basement suite. Tony came over not once but twice. The first time he was trying to eliminate possible sources of the leak. The second time was follow-up which he found was a problem with the refrigerator, not a plumbing issue.Hicks Plumbing is very reasonably priced, responsive, and thorough! Thank you, Tony!     Hick’s plumbing was available in short notice, a real person answers the phone, they were professional, and very friendly. I’m happy to recommend them to anyone! Copper, pex, PVC, drain lines, I’m sure they’re qualified to work on everything. Tony explained the repair he did at our house as he was doing it and made sure it was a sound leak free repair before finishing the work. I’d be happy to call them again!

    We had a main water leak in our family room, the water was filling up our air conditioning ducts. We were referred to Hicks Plumbing. Tony and Kevin came out and made the necessary repairs. They were professional, reasonable but most of all knowledgeable. We were so impressed with their work we had them come back out and do some other plumbing needs that we had been putting off.     Excellent work! I needed a plumber to fix the water pressure of my kitchen sink faucet and give an estimate for installing a water filter. He came right on time, fixed the faucet pressure in a few seconds, and waived the fee for his time. I gave him a big tip anyway for coming out. They will be my go-to for plumbing needs.

    Kevin was fantastic! Our distal plumbing was backed up on New Years night. He responded right away and then arrived bright and early on a holiday to resolve the issue. He did some investigating to deduce the clog source which saved us several hundred dollars. He fixed the issue quickly but also gave us a plethora of knowledge about basic plumbing maintenance and prevention. As new home owners this knowledge was invaluable. I tried to convince him to write a book. The price, work and professionalism were 5 stars. We will definitely be hiring him again!

    Kevin was awesome! He listened to me describe the issue, gave me options and explained them all in laymans terms, as well as his recommendation as a professional. I felt listened to and that there was no sales pitch or ulterior motive, he just wanted to help me, and they charge a fair price (significantly less than the other plumber that was initially assigned to do the job). Hicks is my new go-to for all things plumbing. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

    Had an excellent experience with Hicks! Had a clogged drain so I called and spoke with Christina to schedule a visit.     We had the drain in the kitchen sink clogged, so read the great reviews Hicks got here so called them. For my surprise, they dispatched Kevin right away, so he was home 1 hour after i called! And let me tell you about Kevin: hes THE best, professionally and personally. This young guy knows what hes doing, and after warning me that using the snake was going to cost me a lot, i gave him the ok, and he did a very careful job, not rushing it. And fixed the problem. Hes such a nice guy. Id definitely call Hicks again for any plumbing issue and ask for Kevin!

    I have used Hicks a few times and always had a good experience working with Tony. Our last call to Hicks was a great experience as well. We are selling our house and the home inspector said the sump pump wasnt working. Adam came out and we just told him to replace it. He insisted on testing it and it worked fine! The home inspector lied. Needless to say we already signed our addendum for the sales contract on the home and were stuck doing the work. Next time I will call Hicks before I sign anything with a realtor. Adam did a great job. I have to say I am very jealous of Adams beard and I hope someday to have one as impressive as his. I highly recommend Hicks as a company and Adam as a trustworthy experienced technician.

    I had two toilets installed. They were the 2nd best price of the 3 quotes I got (but close to the first). They came out and did a free quote where as two businesses I called wanted to charge me a service fee to come give me a quote that would be applied to my balance if I had them do the work. I was able to coordinate through email and text which was helpful since I regularly do not have phone service at work. Kevin was very nice, very professional, and we ran into a space issue that he was able to provide recommendations for rather than just leave it as our problem (which in this particular situations where we bought our own parts without measuring - it was our problem).

    I dont usually write reviews, but Hicks Plumbing is so amazing, others must know. They are fair and put their customers first. Theyve come to my house several times to do upgrades and repairs, but there are two instances worth mentioning: When I moved to a new house with a sump pump, they took the time to come over and explain how it worked and what I needed to keep an eye on. All at no charge. Today, my bathroom shower stopped working. They showed up on time, and quickly diagnosed and fixed the very simple problem--once again, at no charge. Wow! I will be their customer for life!!

    Our hot water supply valve snapped when I tried to remove it from the bathroom galvanized nipple. The team of Tony and Kevin were here the next day to assess the issue. They then scheduled the repair within three working days. Tony and Kevin were extremely professional, prompt and exceptionally knowledgeable. They treated our home as if it were their home, being careful not to leave behind any of the removed/replaced plumbing parts. They took great care to social distance, wear masks and ensure they had foot coverings when entering the home. I refer many of my Pillar to Post clients to Hicks Plumbing Services as they are well qualified to handle most any plumbing repair or improvement.     I had my main water pipe break over the weekend. Hicks Plumbing responded within a half hour of my request for service. They helped me secure the main water valve and research what needed to be done to repair the break. They showed up the next morning and began work right away. There were able to replace the entire main pipe from the cut off valve all the way to my basement and into my home quickly and with minimal additional damage to my home. There fast response definitely minimized my basement damage. There were able to pull the permit from the county, get it repaired, and inspected all within 24 hours, especially over a weekend. Would definitely use them again for any plumbing services in my home. Tony and his team was very personal, easy to speak with, professional, and explained the entire process to ensure I was comfortable with what work needed to be completed.

    We had a burst water pipe late on a Saturday night. Hicks responded in less than 90 minutes. The technician was very professional, polite and knowledgeable. In addition, the company and technician were very concerned about distancing due to Covid-19. The tech was masked, gloved and wore booties; everything was done no-touch business wise. He took care of our water line break quickly and effectively. Could not have been more pleased!Weve had Hicks back several times for additional plumbing work, including checking on leaks and installing faucets. Theyve always been very responsive and have provided excellent service. Highly recommend!

    I liked best the honesty and high quality of work that Gary of Hicks Plumbing Services gave us. He also arrived within the time period I was given. Suddenly my toilet would not work. We could not figure out what was wrong to fix it. When Gary from Hicks Plumbing Services arrived he showed me why the toilet was not working and said that the insides of the water tank had to be all replaced. He also recommended that we replace the old toilet and have one 2 inches higher. He arrived the next day with the new toilet. It took him about an hour to haul out the old and install the new. He also let me scrub the floor and walls clean before installing the new toilet. I hope I have no more plumbing problems but if I do, Hicks Plumbing Services will be the first that I will call.

    Tony (owner )personally came out and looked at our service line water pipe leak, and provided an estimate--free of charge. The other companies were going to charge my 35 bucks just to get a quote. He took the time to politely and professionally explain every last detail of the process. If youre looking for a smaller company where you feel like youre #1, highly recommend Hicks. Service line replacement was complete in half a day, and just had to wait for next day for Fairfax water authority inspections to complete the job. Site was cleaned up great. Fingers crossed for no more plumbing issues for awhile, but when it happens again, Im calling Tonys team.

    Adam came to our house only a couple of hours after I made the phone call about a potential leak, and he was absolutely amazing. He was attentive to our budget and tried everything to help us out. He is very good at problem solving, is knowledgeable of what he does and is confident in his work.     I highly recommend Hicks. Not only are they able to handle emergencies quickly and efficiently, the team there is pleasant and customer focused. Ive had them at my house on 3 separate occasions and each time they came quickly, corrected the issue, and even offered advice for preventing future issues.     I am very impressed with the customer service and professionalism of Hicks Plumbing. Before Hicks, I had set up an appointment for a water heater assessment with another plumber; the other plumber never showed up despite two different appointment times. When I called Hicks, I was quite nervous the same thing would happen. In fact, when they had an earlier opening they called me and asked if I would want them to come early - which was great! They were able to assess and replace our water heater in the same day. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because removal of the old water heater damaged our stairs. Our plumber was nice enough to come back later that evening to do some repair work on it. I would be happy to work with this company again. Though a bit pricey, the customer service was excellent and the quality of service was superb.

Tony and assistant went well beyond the call of duty in working long hours to replace the line and restore water service to my house. They kept me well informed of what needed to be done and coordinated the necessary county inspections. I was very pleased by their friendly, professional attitude. Quality work throughout!

    I’ve called Hicks twice. Once was an emergency on a weekend evening, and once was for an ongoing concern about a basement bathroom. I spoke with the same person in their office, and the same plumber (Tony) came out both times, and both experiences were fantastic. Super responsive, very professional, creative when assessing the problem, and patient when explaining it to me. Since both visits were during our current pandemic, I should also mention that Tony of course wore a mask and everything was contactless. It’s clear that we have quite a number of plumbing issues in our 20-year-old home (new to us), and Hicks has earned our trust as we work to resolve them over time.

    We had five estimates to fix our main sewer line that needed repairs in three different areas. Hicks gave us the most options at the most affordable price. They did an excellent job. Tony stayed past 8 PM and even volunteered to use our pressure washer to clean the driveway. Great communication from the office staff as well.

    Tony came by and was super nice and professional. He was the only plumber that actually did not attempt to rip me off. He went to Home Depot and stood in massively long line.     My sump pump was having issues and the Hicks team took my call late at night and connected me with Tony. He was able to diagnose the potential issue and provide assurance for the evening. The next day, Tony came to the house and fixed the issue. Just a few days later there was another issue in the same general area.     Adam Daughtery did a great job on my bathroom sink faucet problem.He had to order parts for it as it is very hard to replace the faucet we had.He diagnosed the problem accurately.A few days later,the parts came in and he finished the job quickly.     I agree with all the rave reviews about Hicks Plumbing. I had a bath tub leak tonight around 8:30pm from something I tried to fix by myself (never again!) Water leaked and went downstairs into my kitchen (fun!)The first call I made was to Len The Plumber. Well, theyre jingle of The Only Way to Get a Plumber Today, Just Call Len the Plumber is total B.S. They couldnt get a plumber out until tomorrow morning. So I did a Google search and Hicks was the first name that came up. Usually I do hours of research before I pick a contractor, but I didnt have time. We needed water back on ASAP with two little kids.Tony Hicks arrived about 35 minutes after I placed the call. He was very polite and had such a calm demeanor about him. I instantly relaxed the second he crossed the threshold of my house. He even wore booties inside the house so nothing would get dirty. I showed him what I did and within literally 10 seconds, he found the problem. The copper pipe had a small dent in it and water was spilling back down in the hole from where it comes out of the tile. I was floored. He fixed it quickly and also fixed another issue I was having with a toilet.The work was a little pricey, but he also gave me a nice discount. I wont mention his prices here out of respect for his business and competition. It was well worth the cost to have an outstanding plumber at my door in 35 minutes and have the problem fixed shortly thereafter. I will DEFINITELY use Hicks Plumbing again in the future without a doubt.

    I highly recommend Hicks Plumbing. I had them out to install a new garbage disposal at my home. Shortly thereafter, we noticed that our dishwasher was not working so I called them again for help. It turns out that I did not turn the water back on to the dishwasher, a complete mental lapse on my part. As i reached for the checkbook to pay Adam for his time he told me that there would be no payment required. That usually does not happen in this area. Adam was knowledgeable and professional the entire time. I will definately use Hicks for all of my plumbing needs.

    Gary arrived and set right to work. I knew he is very experienced, but it impressed me that he took the trouble to read the instructions on the kitchen faucet set I bought to get a complete picture of what was required for a proper installation. I also thought Gary was very careful working around our cabinets and the granite counter top and cleaning up any stray water when he removed the old faucet set. I wanted Hicks for the job because their staff have a lot of experience. When integrating the new faucet set into the existing plumbing, for example, before turning on the unit for the first time Gary removed the aerator in the kitchen goose neck down spout to allow any material in the line from closing and reopening the water feed valves to clear, otherwise all the junk goes into the new aerator on the goose neck down spout. He was very careful to adjust the faucet body water control handle so its swing would not be compromised by the adjacent goose neck spout on one side and the sprayer on the other. After thoroughly checking for leaks at the sink level and underneath the sink he dismounted the sprayer hose connection and teflon wrapped it for a better seal - no leaks. He reassured me everything should be fine. Gary recommended a shakedown period of a couple of days and if any leaks developed he would return to fix them. Now that is great service.

    This problem occurred during the removal and/or reinstallation of a bathroom lavatory faucet necessitated by the replacement of a marble vanity top on 02/16/2017. The faucet had been working normally before the vanity top replacement, but produced only three thin streams of water afterward. In addition, the plumber of the marble/granite company that replaced the vanity top also failed to reconnect the lift rod on the faucet to the bottom of the sink stopper. The president of the marble/granite firm then advised me to order a replacement ceramic cartridge for the faucet and promised to have his plumber install it and also reconnect the lift rod to the sink stopper. When the cartridge arrived, however, he reneged on both promises, claiming that he did not have a plumber qualified to perform this type of work, leaving me in the lurch. Gary of Hicks Plumbing promptly came to the rescue, looked at the situation and gave me a very reasonable estimate, which I accepted. Gary then spent about one hour removing the faucet, installing the cartridge and, when that did not solve the problem, disassembling the faucet to investigate further. It turned out that a screw had broken off inside the faucet and could not be removed. Thus, a brand-new faucet was ordered, which Gary installed today without any further problem. The faucet is now working perfectly. Between the two visits, Gray spent about 2 full hours on site working in a very tight space under the lavatory sink that is completely enclosed in a custom-made vanity cabinet, and troubleshooting the problem with the original faucet before successfully installing the new faucet. He was always punctual, helpful, courteous, and totally professional in his dedication to solving a stubborn problem. He is the best, and it will be my pleasure to call Hicks Plumbing again whenever the need arises. Thanks, Gary!

    The crew did an excellent job replacing my main water line, which was polybutylene, with copper. The pipe followed a long driveway, and entered the house 8 ft below surface. They located the pipe accurately, operated the excavation machinery with precision, and had the pipe replaced and the water restored in one day. They didnt bring enough copper for the length of the run, and had to go and fetch more, but they stayed with the job until well after dark until completed, for which I am grateful. The building inspector commented that Hicks always does good work. The crew returned the next day to cover up the pipe, restored everything back to grade, and cleaned up nicely. Great work, guys!     We had an imminent flood in our basement when our sump pump failed. It was a Friday night, and we scrambled to find a plumber who could come immediately and install a new sump pump. Hicks showed up within an hour of our SOS call. The plumber/owner arrived with all of the necessary equipment to replace the sump pump (with a model superior to the old one) and install a valve that had been omitted by the builder. The plumber stayed long enough to make sure the new sump pump was quickly draining the foundation water collection around the exterior of the house. We are so very grateful to Hicks.     Outstanding job from Hicks Plumbing. Had a leak in the basement dripping from the floor above. Thought I found the leak but that wasnt the case. Adam came and used his detective skills to find the leak about 4feet to the left and within the walls of the floor above in the kitchen. After having the first drainage job done incorrectly and several over priced bids, this company was a God send. He did not offer the typical over price soultion of excavation and pricey pipes, he said lets just clean the pipes. That was the first suggestion. At first, I was a little leary, thinking that it was a money grab for a bigger job. Sure enough, the pipes were in good condition. Tony stated that well installed cast iron pipes can last about 100 years. Imagine my surprise after learning this information. Will definitely use this company again.

    The morning the plumber fixed the issue, there was a large leak in our ceiling, which trickled down the wall. A water mitigation company cut through the dry wall, found the leaks, and left the fan and humidifier. The plumber showed up later that day. He seemed to have a lot of knowledge and experience on this issue. The issue was calcium build up and rubbing of the pipe against a hook. Due to this, the leak occurred in several places and saturated the drywall. He fixed the issue in under an hour by replacing the bad parts of the pipe with new piping. The job was prompt, well done, and the service was courteous and professional.
