    I chose Fancher to check my boiler because a friend recommended them, and their reviews were good. However, my experience with the first technician was disappointing. While he was friendly and chatted a lot, he didn’t seem familiar with my boiler model. He spent a significant amount of time reading the manual and even took long phone calls related to other jobs. He said sorry to me after hanging up. But he barely performed any maintenance, didn’t open the boiler (which I only realized later when the second technician came), and essentially just took some measurements.At the end of his visit, he handed me a $500 bill for what was supposed to be a routine maintenance check. He explained that the company charges by the hour and claimed to have been here for two hours, which was surprising since I assumed it was a flat rate for regular maintenance.Unfortunately, that night, the boiler made loud, alarming noises that woke me up on the second floor, never happened before. Fearing it might explode, I had to shut it down myself. I called Fancher first thing the next morning, and they sent a second technician later that day.The second technician was fantastic. He didn’t talk much but got straight to work. He opened the system, cleaned it thoroughly, and explained the cause of the noise. He was clearly familiar with the boiler, worked professionally, and finished the job in less than an hour. If he had been the one sent initially, I would have given a 5-star review without hesitation.I am currently waiting to hear back from the manager regarding the billing. I feel I should only be charged for the second technician’s time, as the first visit was both unproductive and costly. I will provide additional feedback once this issue is resolved.

    This company is excellent. I had them service my boiler and do a few plumbing repairs at my house. They were responsive and pleasant and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work.

    I had a closing scheduled today for 100PM for the property I sold. In the morning found a puddle around the water heater. UGH! Fancher was just down the road and knew the family for years. I stopped in their remodeled showroom (Nice upgrade BTW) about 1100AM hoping for at least a written estimate, maybe same day installation. They jockeyed their schedule to help me out, serviceman arrived on time, installed the new water heater in a very professional manner, removed all the junk and closed, no problem. THANK YOU!

    I recently had an AC unit and furnace installed. The crew at Fancher did an extremely great job! They showed up on time and were very courteous and professional!After receiving several estimates, I ultimately went with Fancher for a couple reasons: Tyler, the sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and sold me on two systems that were most efficient for my home. And of course price; Fancher wasnt the cheapest, but I feel that I got the best quality for the price.I would highly recommend their services.

    Fanchers helped us out in a pinch for when our distance relative’s furnace died. I hope everyone always can think ahead - or if they qualify for county benefits use that - but not everyone always happens when you expect it. If you are someone helping someone from far away or need a furnace replaced I would not hesitate to hire Fanchers. They are good communicators, especially with older folks who may be hesitant to have workers in the home.

    Scheduled for an estimate and install on an electrical panel upgrade. They gave a very reasonable estimate, which was equal to total cost. They arranged everything with NYSEG and got the job done without any issues fairly quickly. Would recommend.

    Fancher reviewed the pair of 1960-era Spencer boilers that feed with natural gas to the baseboard hot water heating system(s) in our three-zone 2,900 sq ft duplex. The CO levels were acceptable (4-8 ppm). Several of the OEM gate valves in the systems are suspect and the larger boiler has some slag build up that suspect, too.With NYS Governor K. Hochul nudging residential upgrades to utilize electric heat pumps, I am wondering if I will soon be mandated to convert from natural gas to electric (heat pumps), or if I can opt (soon) for available natural gas boilers and be grandfathered in... should the state government mandate that any upgrades/new construction use only electric heating/cooling components?Tim Lown was knowledgeable and relatable (to me) in the way that he worked and communicated with me as a Fancher HVAC technician.I will have to consider options that Fanchers salesmen (Tyler) might suggest should I desire to invest in this heating system in 2024-2025.I am confident that the annual service (of a 64 year old heating system) is/was warranted. It may be time to ADD to the accumulating funds saved to purchase an updated heating system - before it fails.Jon & Sue in Endicott

    On a Friday night I had a furnace emergency, called Fancher and Kyle immediately sent a tech, my furnace had to be shut down. The following Monday they installed a new furnace, Ken and Jordan did a great job. Fancher has done all my plumbing work for over a decade, I have the utmost faith in their work. Have just found out they also have electricians, looking forward to using this service as well. I would highly recommend Fancher Services.

    I am very happy with my entire experience with Fancher Heating and Cooling! Everyone from the initial phone call to get setup from an estimate to Jordan coming out and explaining the process was amazing! Fancher was the only company that I contacted out of 4 other in the Southern Tier that seemed like they actually wanted my business. Other HVAC companies wouldn’t return phone calls or seem at all interested in earning my business. This was an entire home heating system with installing a Samsung mini-split system to the entire home. The install team of Ian, Keith and Chase did an amazing job installing and answering questions. They were very professional, responsive, respectful and accommodating with all aspects of the installation process. The job was completed on-time and extremely neat! They left my home exactly as they found it cleaning up as they went along. I would highly recommend Fancher moving forward and appreciate the entire team!

He kept me up to date of when he would be arriving and when he arrived he quickly diagnosed and confirmed the issue. Throughout the process, Benjamin articulated every step he took, ensuring I was informed and comfortable with the course of action. He did a great job fixing this issue and did a quality repair.     Found the installation of my Heat Pump system to go extremely well. The 2 techs were timely, efficient and knowledgeable. The systems was quickly installed and tested. Was appreciative that the techs were sure to install drop cloths and vacuum every day to keep the house clean while the installation was in process. They tested and balanced the system before leaving.It is still early to comment on the Samsung system but it appears to be operating as expected.Overall pleased.

    After having some issues with old pipes in my mother in law, June Callans, home she contacted Fancher. They were quick to get her an estimate and were able to start work right away. Devin was the one who came to her home to fix her piping. He treated her with the upmost respect and was extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire process. He did a tremendous job and cleaned up afterwards. We are all so relieved that she was able to get a reputable company to help her fix this issue.     We had air conditioning put in our house and went with ductless heat pumps, they are amazing! It was a major project and investment involving several units both indoors and outdoors and Fancher made every step easy. We had a lot of confidence at every stage, from dealing with Jordan who planned the project to Ken and Ian for installing the units. They were incredibly professional and I felt like they treated my house with an extremely high level of care. They came when they said and answered all of my questions, no surprises. There is a lot to be said for having people like these working on my most important asset, my house. And for the size of the project and the amount of work it took, the pricing was totally reasonable as well. I plan to continue to use Fancher for many years to come!

    I am very happy with the new Lennox furnace. It is so much quieter than my previous Carrier system. The installer did a great job and I was impressed with the communication and how quickly he got the work done. She asked me if I had checked the batteries in my thermostat to see if that was why my furnace turned off during the night.     They were prompt and friendly. They removed and replaced our kitchen faucet. We didnt realize that the hole to install it was too small for the new faucet so they had to make several trips to the hardware store to buy a bit to drill through to make the opening bigger which took awhile so I wasnt expecting it to be a 2 hour job. But apparently they dont normally do countertop work so they didnt readily have the tools available.

    Ken C. and Ian B. installed a Bradford White 199 kBTU/Hr natural gas tankless water heater in January 2023. Installation time using existing water and natural gas connections was 3.5 hours. Installers were courteous and professional. I would recommend both the unit and the installers. Installation cost ($$$$) in 2023 dollars is much higher (25%) than 2021 dollars due price inflation. Be prepared for sticker shock!

    We have been using Fancher Services for quite a long time. First of all, when you call for an appointment, they either answer the phone right away or call you back! Within the last six months, we have hired someone from Fancher to help with plumbing, inspect our furnace and install new ceiling lights. Each time a different service person was assigned and each job was done expertly. They let me know via text message that someone is on the way to our house for our appointment and it includes the name of the person and photo so I know who to expect. We recommend Fancher Services.

We called Fancher for a second opinion, and Luke W came out and told us that we did not need to replace the boiler, just a couple of faulty parts. For WAY less money than we were quoted by the other company, Luke fixed our boiler the same day and now it’s working perfectly. He’s a life saver! I definitely recommend Francher to anyone. They are a good, honest company that won’t rip you off.

    We recently purchased a home with an old boiler and baseboard heat. We sought 5 estimates for ductless heat/air. Two came and then never got back to us, two were much higher than what we would expect to pay for the whole house install, and Fancher Appliance provided an excellent estimate of costs as well as working through additional projects to secure our plumbing and to decommission the old heating system.The level of service Fancher provides is pretty remarkable considering how busy they are. Jordan listened to our needs and concerns and helped us develop a realistic and cost-effective plan that could work around other construction projects that were taking place. Their team of installers (Devon and Ian) were professional, friendly, informative, and on task the entire 4 days they were here.We love being in our new home now and the ductless system works so well we barely hear it and almost never have to adjust it.
