    UPDATE:The gentlemen came back out and addressed all my concerns. They took care of the wiring by capping it, installing a box, and unhooking it from the breaker. They also installed screens on the vent tubes and made sure my questions were all answered. I had already sealed the holes I mentioned. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they shouldnt have had to come out 3 times but everything has now been taken care of. Thank you.We had scheduled our job to be done on the 3rd. We were waiting for funds from a 401 and they were behind in sending the funds to us. I called Artic Bear to see if it would be a problem that we might not have the funds the day the work was to be completed. They made us reschedule for the following week in the hopes the check would arrive by then. This caused me to have to miss a day of work. They showed up for the job on the rescheduled date and I was told the work would be completed that day with the exception of hooking the gas line up to the new propane tank that we were having installed due to increasing our demand with the new water heater. They did not complete the work that day and had to come back an additional day to complete it. To their credit, they could not remove the old water heaters until the new propane tank was delivered because we would not have had hot water for a week. After they completed the work and cleaned up, they left without asking if I had any questions about the job and without giving any kind of instruction or overview of the new system. He did spend time trying to sell me a water softener and sediment filter (even though he said our water wasnt very hard) for an additional $5600. They had to cut a new hole in the outside wall for the new gas line. They did not bother to seal up the old hole or the new one in which the hole was nearly twice as big as the pipe. They also installed the required 2 vent pipes but did not put any screens or anything in them to keep the critters out. Not to mention they didnt seal around those pipes either. They also left an approximately 4 foot long wire from one of the old water heaters hanging from the floor joists. I have no idea if this is still hooked up to the electric panel or not but now they have to come back a third time to take care of that. The job cost us $7500 and they did a lot of work. They also charged us approximately $4300 for an $1800 water heater and the installation. For that price youd think they would ensure that everything was properly taken care of and that they would make sure you were satisfied with the job.

I called and scheduled an appointment the next day for an issue with my boiler, I got a call back a few hours later stating that a tech had finished another job early and could come right out that same day!     My wife and I recently moved into our home, and with it inherited a 25 year old air conditioner. Scheduled a tune up, and another company found it had a leak and low pressure and was unlikely to make it the rest of the season. We started getting quotes and thats when we had Arctic Bear by.In terms of the sale, they were extremely competitive, quoting us a 16 SEER2 Trane unit for the same price other companies were giving us for a 13 SEER unit. We agreed and their tech Daniel was out with his team in about a week. Daniel and Arctic Bear did a fantastic job with the install, moving the AC location to a better spot on the house and working efficiently.After they left, my garage door wouldnt close and after I thought going through everything, I thought they might have hit a wire when moving the AC power. I told Arctic Bear and Phil, their installation manager, about my concern and they absolutely stood by their work and stated that if they caused the issue, they would cover the electrician cost. Well, I was a fool because that electrician discovered that a hidden GFI had been tripped during work and I didnt know my house well enough yet to find it. I was gladly willing to pay myself for having doubted Arctic Bear after the job they did.Reasonable prices and quality service has me a dedicated Arctic Bear customer, and I plan to use their maintenance program going forward to keep my new AC in top shape. Highly recommend you give Arctic Bear a call.

    We had two technicians complete our projects today. They arrived on time. Their professionalism was excellent. They communicated everything to us very well and even when additional parts were found to have failed they showed us. We had an indirect water heater tank installed, a new compression tank installed, a water pressure control valve and new kitchen sink water shut-off valves installed. The work was done in great time and the gentleman were neat & tidy. The price was right as well. I didn’t feel like it was a price gauge by any means. I highly recommend Arctic Bear!

    We were having issues with our ac unit after another company came to service it. This other company was not able to identify the exact issue and quoted us 5k-10k to fix and replace our furnace. We felt like they were trying to take advantage of us, so we looked for a second opinion with Arctic Bear.Eric L. from Arctic Bear knew exactly what the issue was in under 5 minutes of arriving, and the cost of repairs was quoted under 1k. He just came this morning and it took him less than 15 minutes to replace the part and get our ac working. Eric was very thorough and professional.     Coming from a different HVAC company below Montrose PA, Arctic Bear was... a breath of fresh air!The appointment was only a few days wait. The technician was clean and professional, listened to all my issues before even attempting to diagnose. He did a complete inspection to include fixing some thermostat wiring that was flip-flopped, inspecting the handler and condenser. Didnt try to lie or charge for things that I didnt need or any shady stuff!     We called for help on a plumbing leak. Our technician arrived to handle the situation. The leak was in a bit of a tricky spot but Logan worked through it! Sadly upon fixing the initial leak a 2nd leak was discovered. The 2nd leak proved more challenging due to the condition of the pipes. After several hours of effort we were left with a suitable temporary fix allowing water in the house and no disruption of routine until a revisit could be rescheduled and a proper solution could be obtained. Due to not arriving at a proper solution on the 1st visit, we were not charged (super respectable in my opinion)! On the initial visit, it was also discovered our water softener was also not in proper working order. This new along with the quote on the cost of replacement was a bit of a shock however Logan provided proper education on the quality difference between my Big Box store special unit versus the equipment that Arctic Bear is an authorized dealer of along with the benefits of having a quality piece of equipment installed in our home. Thanks again for all you’ve done and will do going forward!

There were several smaller drains that were in hard to reach places and at difficult angles to make connect correctly with the right pitch. I didn’t dare try to do it myself.     Update: We started seeing a massive leak which we thought was from the newly installed water heater. It was not. It was coming from a bad drain. I called their emergency hotline and they sent a technician out straight away. I called at 9:30pm and he was here by 11pm. He spent an hour troubleshooting and let us know the issue was from a faulty drain and spent a great deal of time making sure his company’s product was good and the issue was coincidental. I’m very grateful he came out so late and was so thorough. This is clearly a company that values its clients.Everyone was pleasant to deal with and straight forward.     Logan B was AMAZING! I had two unrelated issues, a toilet that wouldn’t stop running and a pipe with a pin hole leak that was leaking into my basement. I went to turn my water off and the shut off completely fell apart from age and corrosion.Logan B gave me the lowdown on how much everything would cost, what actions needed to be taken and even called the town to shut off the water at street level for me AND BUNDLED SOME COSTS TOGETHER SINCE I WAS GETTING SO MUCH DONE AT ONE TIME!!     I highly recommend Arctic Bear. We had to replace a toilet and dishwasher and called them. Due to the age of the house and the construction design from the 50’s, things got complicated and a lot of extra work had to be done.     I picked Arctic Bear for a central air conditioning system because of many positive comments from friends and coworkers along with the highly rated Trane products they offer. I got a good price quote and there was no waiting list for installation. During the install, they uncovered a dangerous crack in my older furnace heat exchanger and they immediately responded and got a new matched furnace installed that day also at a good price with the AC condenser installed the next day. I was impressed with the great customer service and the installation crew was very professional and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Arctic Bear to anyone!!!!

    Of course my heater and central air worked well when I first had it installed. As expected, the installation was fast and went well.The equipment is six years old now and operates just like on the first day. The variable speed DC motors are saving me some money and I like the soft turn to only the speed needed.I would go back to Artic Bear should I ever need service and would highly recommend them. They have good choices for equipment and are a class act.Because of the great service I got on my heater/air conditioner installation 6 years ago, I arranged for them to replace my Moms washing machine shutoff. They could have replaced the double shutoff, but instead were able to rebuild it, leaving the rest of the plumbing intact. This saved time, materials and overall cost. Thanks.     Furnace stopped working Friday of all days. Called Artic Bear and explained the problem and find out if it would be possible to have someone come out that afternoon to check the problem. They called back to let me know that they would have a service tech stop later that afternoon. Later that afternoon Tech Eric phoned to let us know that he was on the way. He diagnosed the problem in about 20 minutes, a bird made its way into the draft inducer and made it inoperable. He would need to order parts to fix it correctly. He pulled 2 housings of the furnace and cleaned them up to see if he could get the furnace working until the new parts come in. They received the parts late Monday afternoon and called to say they would be here. Tuesday morning. The furnace did continue to operate so we were not without heat. From our initial call to the completion of the repair the office staff and their field technicians were professional, knowledgeable and caring. Based on my experience I would highly recommend Artic Bear.

    My furnace was blowing cold air on a Sunday it was 32° and snowing. They had a tech to my house within 2 hours. He was very kind and respectful. He explained what he was doing and trouble shot everything he could try before telling us it was the circuit board (which was worse case scenario). The part wasnt something they had on hand but they could get it. He explained the fees and charges that would need to be paid before doing them which I greatly appreciated. Would recommend them 100% even on an emergency call I found the price to be very reasonable.

Tonight we had an emergency issue with a leak in our water baseboard heat. However, with their most recent visit (December 2023), the technician did not bother protect the floor from a sooty mess nor did he clean it up after he was done. (We had offered a sheet before he began). Further, when he left, he did not properly secure the furnace blower access cover and re-engage the cover safety switch. My wife, with her diminished eyesight, would not have detected the cover/switch issue, had I not been there (I almost didnt notice it). That was not only dangerous, the cover was tilted in, letting some air be pulled from the basement instead of from the return ducts. *** Arctic Bear: Your tech did nice work in all other respects, and we are grateful for it. Well assume was a one-time oversight. ***

    Tim installed a new whole - house humidifier on the furnace. Works like a charm and keeps the house between 35% and 42% humidity.     My wife and I had Arctic Bear test our home water and a natural spring that feeds our home. Evan was very professional and explained the test results clearly. Turned out that our water had bacteria in it. Evan had the necessary equipment to be installed in stock and had us on the schedule to get it installed to take care of our water the same week we asked for it. BJ came out to install the UV light filtration system and a sediment filter, his work is incredible, he took the time to make sure the piping that he installed was level and plumb.     I cant praise these guys enough! 10 PM at night the copper lines going to my washer developed multiple leaks! Unfortunately the shut off was above the leaks - so the main water valve to the house had to be shut off. I called them in the morning shortly after they opened, and they had a tech here 2 hours later. He was fabulous! In no time he replaced the copper tubing, installed new shut off valves below the tubing to avoid this happening again, cleaned up and charged me an extremely reasonable amount! Ill never hesitate to call them for any issue I ever have again!

    Our water softener went bust on us, and we reached out to several companies. Only 2 contacted us back, Arctic Bear being one. We were very impressed with the company, from start to finish. Evan came out for the initial consultation. He did several tests on our water and made his recommendations, explaining everything along the way. The prices seemed better compared to the other company(who quoted lower but with less of what we actually needed). We didnt go with all of his recommendations, and he didnt try to hard sell us, which I REALLY appreciated. Scheduling was quick and easy. A 25% deposit was required, which I find fair.And as our luck would have it, the night before the installation, we got a leak in a different section of our plumbing. I called Arctic Bear the morning of installation, and was scheduled for someone to come in the afternoon(separate from the installation).Well, Alex comes to do the installation and says he just got a call from the office, and he can fix our leak too! Let me tell you, I was so pleased. I expected someone who was specialized for just water softener system installation. But Alex installed our new system, removed our old system, and fixed our leak(which was in an awkward place and required replacing piping and valves). He even asked if there was anything else we needed done while he was there!I will NOT hesitate to use or recommend Arctic Bear in the future.UPDATE 5/2023 Needed Arctic Bear on a weekend, and Tom came out to help us. Our pressure switch on our well pump was leaking, and our tank wasnt filling at a normal rate. He checked everything and determined, after installing a new switch, that the bigger issue was that the old switch burned out our well pump. He couldnt help with that, since its underground, but he left me with the info for who they refer out well pump issues. Even with Tom needing to leave and get a part, it was less than 4 hours from initial call to resolution(as much as he could do). He signed me up for the membership service, which saved us a ton on the emergency call out fee. Again, no complaints about Arctic, only praise!

    After using another company for a mini-split installation and 3 years of scheduled maintenance (after hounding calls) leaving my units filled with mold and performing poorly I decided to reach out to Arctic Bear. Everything was great from the initial contact within 30 minutes of just submitting a form online, an appointment scheduled in 2 days, the techs identifying important parts missed on initial installation, and recommending solutions to combat mold, and taking the time to deep clean the units. They were very knowledgeable about the units.

    We have an old farm house built in 1895 and have been fixing up for the last 15 years. Arctic Bear installed duct ac upstairs and ductless downstairs.     The technician they sent out to install our reverse osmosis system and water softener unit was very prompt, and extremely professional. Through out the install he gave us updates and told us when certain things couldnt be used because he was connecting different parts. After he was done he gave my wife and I a through run down of how the systems worked, what to look for, when and how often the different filters and such needed to be changed. Even the office personal I talked to before the install for various issues have all been helpful and courteous. Arctic Bear has proven time and again that I need not look anywhere else, will definitely be a repeat customer.     Zander did an amazing job. He answered any questions I had with my system which i had no knowledge of outside of google and turning the thermostat on. Plus the cost to run it. Bought the house with the problems the furnace needed as far as repairs.     I can’t express enough how satisfied we are with our experiences with Artic Bear and its staff. I called on a Thursday and the office had Evan out for a consultation/ recommendations the following Monday. Evan was most helpful in choosing the best system for our needs (split air/heating units). 3 days later Anthony, Frank, & Greg were out installing the system. The entire project from my first call to finish work took 1 week and was nothing but professional. I am now sitting in a VERY comfortable home thanks to Artic Bear and their exceptional team!

    I called in the morning and scheduled a shower drain cleaning for the afternoon. I didnt realize how quickly the time went by until it was a little after 5 and no one had come. I called and got the after-hours service. My call was returned quickly, and to make a long story short, the tech who was assigned my case was out of the service area until after 5 and so didnt get the info on my call until late. He told me he would come out tonight and not charge the after-hours fee. He wanted to make it right. Sean came and fixed the drain in no time and gave me advice for how I could do it myself next time (info I asked for). After all that, he didnt charge me for the repair, only for the service assessment. He told me how much he likes working for the company and how wonderful the culture is. I will have no hesitation in going back to Arctic Bear for plumbing issues and installations in the future.

    2/3/23Service is always excellent and prompt. I came home to no furnace on the coldest day of the century. They got a service tech out right away. He called on his way. Then Doti fixed it, let me know what else could be done in the future and Im back in my warm nice house. Everyone from reception to service is pleasant, professional and wonderful to deal with.1/26/23My hot water heater went out and its attached to my furnace that is run by heating oil. Big monstrosity of chaos. I have to run my furnace to heat my water heater even in summer, so thats real efficient - NOT. Travis came out right away to look at it same day. Helped me trouble shoot a better solution that will pay for itself the first year. Then Daniel O and his assistant (sorry didnt get his name) arrived on scheduled time and did a great job of separating the hot water heater from the furnace and replacing with an energy efficient electric hot water heater. Setting up everything from the electric, to separate shut offs, and capping pipes, leaving enough so I can add water filtration system down the road. They also went over how to drain it yearly. Outstanding service from office to techs.October 2022My furnace and hot water heater are connected through a hydronic system and went out together when I got a heating oil refill. Tom knew exactly what was wrong when I called off hours, but explained the fee involved off if they came out after hours. He put the request in for Monday morning and they had Travis here early afternoon. Travis called as he was on his way. Him and his assistant were extremely courteous and had everything up and running in less than a half hour. They also set up an appointment for an estimate for me on new equipment I was interested in. Im really pleased, they were reasonable and did a great job. I recommend highly! Everyone from the office to techs were really professional and knowledgeable.

    My first experience with them. Replacing 2 central a/c systems of another brand/company, that were getting noisy/aging. My decision to go with this company was because of the quality/reputation of the brand they carry. It was much more expensive than an upgrade from my old company/brand. But based on the brand and the reputation of Arctic Bear (reviews) I decided to go ahead.5 stars as far as the installed product. Not only looks great, but the upgraded multispeed air handlers has made for a much quieter system I barely know is on and seems to dry the air better by running a little longer with lower fan speed. Very happy.So why 4 stars? I took off for surprise sales upgrade at time of installation as well as not leaving the house in the condition it was before install. The sales upgrade was suggesting uv light kits inside the air handlers. This was dropped on me as a $2000 upgrade and an additional $400 every 2 years. I ended up not opting for this. However, it really should have been mentioned/offered at the time they sat down with me weeks prior and gave me quotes. It shouldnt be a spontaneous decision. Thats what really what bothered me about it, not the option. Second was they tracked in, with their feet, outside debris. Nothing that didnt vacuum up pretty easily, still they left it for me to do. They also moved a refrigerator I had in the basement that was under the air handler. No surprise they chose to move it to replace the air handler. Surprised to find it never put back. It was plugged in elsewhere. Was very challenging for me to move it back myself. They mustve moved it with 2 people.So to summarize. So far very happy with the quality of the system and the quality install. Not happy with surprise costly upgrade option early in the install. Nor their care/cleanup following installation. They left an hour worth of work for me to get the fridge back and cleanup. Unprofessional.
