Im a former contractor so I have worked with and seen the work of dozens of electricians. Alex is the only person I would hire to work on my house. The quality of work is outstanding. Everything is always to code, never any shortcuts. If you want proof, just ask. His knowledge of the code is as impressive as his work. He is always timely which means you dont sit around waiting on work to start. But most importantly to me is his reasonable pricing. He doesnt oversell you on anything. He lays out options, then gives you the best price youre going to find anywhere. And none of this I can do it without a permit cheaper BS that you will get from other guys.Alex has competed 2 jobs for me. First, we upgraded from a 60s 100A service to a modern, and more usable 200A service. Alex did an amazing job despite many of the problems that arose throughout the process. A year later we called him back to install a generator interlock kit and outdoor 50A receptacle. This was at his suggestion after talking about DIY-ing a whole house generator. I even spoke to the township electrical inspector and he promoted the exact same plan as Alex. There was an issue sourcing the interlock part for our panel so Alex drove over 2 hours on his lunch break to pick it up from a supplier that had it in stock. That is some serious commitment. He could have easily told me that he couldnt finish the job.We have recommended Alex to a few neighbors and every one has been more than happy with his work. His generator interlock installs are going to become quite popular around here!

Great experience overall! I left a message explaining the problem I was having and Alex got back to me on a Saturday evening. He took the time to explain what the problem most likely was and walked me through how to fix it without needing to come out. He saved me time and money and that says a lot about his company. Highly recommend and will absolutely use him again going forward.

I cannot recommend Borges Electric ENOUGH! This was my first time hiring an electrician and the entire process was amazing. Alex and his associates were incredibly nice, thorough, and professional. They were quick to respond via email/phone and did an excellent job relocating outlets and my air conditioner panel in preparation for my kitchen remodel. I would not hesitate to hire them again for future electrical projects!

Bottom line: great work, shortest lead time possible, lowest price, nice guy to work withWe had multiple companies come out to give us quotes on do the electrical work in our kitchen. We started with a company out of Princeton, recommended by a friend, and were shocked by the price. We called another company out of Princeton who was even higher.Still searching, we tried an old local company near us. They were still out of the range we were looking to spend, but we were starting to get used to the idea that we might need to spend the kind of money these people were asking for.We decided call in an electrician from Pennsylvania, figuring they might be cheaper. They were higher still.We were going to give up, but somehow my wife found Alex at Borges Electric. He came over, gave me the lowest quote (by far) had an opening early the week (!!!) and gave me the sense that the job would be done right.I hired him and the work was done well and when promised. He was accommodating, not overcharging for some additional work, but was very reasonable in working with me when some aspects of the job were simpler than expected and some were more involved. I get the sense that many of the other companies would have taken a hard line on some issues and charged significantly more.I think Alex’s company will grow quite a bit over the coming years. Get him while you can!

Very good service. Alex ran into issues during the install that required other parts. After speaking with him, he kept the price within the original estimate and complete the job the next day. I tried calling other electricians in the area, they either did not answer or did not call back to setup an appointment. Alex immediately found an opening when I contacted him. I would recommend this service.

Alex and company are terrific! You need look no further. Arthur came out to hook up dishwasher and various outlets. He was very professional and respectful. Many companies state customer first but Borges Electric means it and one can see it definitely shows. Ditch the rest, go with Borges!

Alex is great! He did the electrical in our basement finishing and added a bedroom ceiling fan in our sons room last year. We just recently had an electrical issue (not related to his previous work) that Alex was able to come by and solve for us promptly. Thorough and respectful.

I have used Borges Electric for years in both my first home while remodeling my family room adding outlets and fixtures, making sure everything was safe and up to code, especially with an older home. They have installed ceiling fans, bathrooms fans, and gave advice on the best solution for energy use as well. They have vast knowledge on many of the components that surround the job as well. In my new home they have installed new fixtures, designed creative solutions for my basement bar area, moved several outlets and cable wires to make a hidden tv box area, also with all of the updated lighting he also upgraded my panel so that it could handle all of the new components. I would say over all the happiest I can be is when someone knows what theyre doing, is creative at their job, are responsive and give alternate solutions- thats a great company!

They have worked at my own home and more recently at my Fathers house (my dad is my hero) and he took care of my father the way I would have!!! Called Borges to help with erratic power on/off issue. Avery and another electrician came 2 days after the call. They examined the issue and told me that they did not see anything wrong within the house and that I should call PSE&G to have them check the transformer outside of the house. AND, they did not charge me anything!!! I am very appreciative and will definitely use Borges again in the future.

If you need a professional (HONEST) and prompt license electrician, you cant go wrong with Alex (Borges Electric)....Our panel was maxd out so in process we decided to upgrade to 200 amp AND install two EV charging NEMA outlets in garage.I had reached out to 4 license electrician for quotes and none of them came close to Alex (Borges Electric) and Alex was very upfront listing exactly (itemized) quote. Competing electrician kept insisting Alex must be cutting corner but township inspector stated when asked, these guys did a good job...I would definitely recommend Borges to everyone!!!

Brando installed a new LED ceiling light fixture in our kitchen, which looks great. He was prompt, efficient and courteous, and helped us set the right lighting level. Alex had installed an EV charger in my garage several years ago as well. I strongly recommend Borges for quality electrical work.
