    Excel Mechanical installed my new water heater which I purchased through home depot. The scheduling was efficient and timely with a technician able to come out within 1 day. My technician was Ivan and he was excellent. He arrived on time and at the beginning of the arrival window I was quoted, walked me through the installation process, and then got to work immediately. He was efficient taking only about 90 mins to complete the install including some adjustments to the pipe then walked me through how the new unit works. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service—thanks Ivan!

    I had a great experience using Excel. After submitting the forum online asking for a quote for a hot water tank replacement I was contacted within the hour and quoted me a excellent price for a replacement to be installed. Ivan the technician who installed the tank was on time, knowledgeable and explained exactly what was being done and completed the whole job within 1 1/2 hrs.From my experience Excel is honest, fair with their pricing and does a great job with the work to be done.

    Ivan went above and beyond on our recent installation of a hot water heater. The heater is beautiful and pumps hot water perfectly.The added bonus is that Ivan noticed many serious problems in our home and was able to trouble shoot and offer advice and safety tips that were very important and time sensitive. We owe a lot to Ivans keen eye for detail and generous spirit to accommodate our needs outside the scope of the initial water heater installation. 5 Stars! Now off to take a hot shower!

    I cannot say enough good things about Excel. We were having an issue with our central air and had previously had it serviced 3 different times within a month by another HVAC company. They could not figure it out which was especially stressful during a heatwave with 2 small children in the home. Our neighbor recommended Excel and luckily they were able to fit us in. The service was top notch. They were professional, communicative, knowledgeable, friendly and on time. They explained the issue in detail and also explained what they did to fix it. Our unit is running better than ever. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

    My hot water tank broke and a technician was at my house in less than 30 minutes to take a look. Once it was determined I needed a new one, a plumber (Ivan) was here to replace in one day - a Sunday. Ivan was great and efficient with getting the new tank installed.     2024 Review:Once again 5 Star Service! Tech arrived on time with Tiesto Digital Diagnostic Equipment (best of the best). Tech dialed in my AC unit charge with the proper pressures while monitoring the Evap temp and subcooling. From start to finish he was very knowledgeable and professional. Techs arrived on time and they were very professional and knowledgeable about their trade. They performed diagnostics and charged per the industry standards using the latest gauges and monitoring gear! The system charge was checked with purged gauge lines so no air was introduced into the system. The system was low so it was charged slowly to pressure. The system was then ran for 15-20m to check pressures for any small leaks.Great service and Id recommend Excel to others and I will continue to use their services for maintenance or installations of new system.

    Shy, the service manager, was unbelievably helpful. I needed my AC to work because I was having work done in my home which required steady, dry conditions. She did some creative work making sure I had the AC fixed in time. She also provided a competitive replacement quote for when I replace the system.Shane the tech was also amazing. He spent hours working on a problem he thought would be a short time issue. He was pleasant and professional through the whole thing.

    During some of the hottest days of the month my AC in my condo gave out. I was in contact with the service manager along with Shy really quickly who got someone to come out and replace the whole system. Jose the tech was phenomenal he took the time out to explain what was going on because there was a minor issue with getting the system up and running. Jose was professional and on time one of the days he even arrived at the condo before I got out of work the morning. Highly recommend them. Thank you so much Jose!     We had a new hot water heater and heat pump installed with Excel Mechanical and they have been great. They made the MassSave process very easy and answered all of our questions quickly so I was able to get the loan documents in order quickly. Once we were ready to move forward the work happened ahead of schedule! All the work was neat and everyone we came in contact with was very professional and helpful. Can’t recommend them enough!

    Overall, Im quite satisfied with the air-to-water heat pump and the quality of the Excel Mechanical installation. All of the technicians, plumbers, etc. that Ive worked with at Abode have been professional and competent. They obviously know their jobs.Ive had a couple problems, which I dont think are typical. I appreciate that Excel Mechanical has been quite responsive on service calls. They have an automated system to let you know, when a technician is expected. It would be great, if it had a few more notifications, e.g. part ordered, part received, follow-up rescheduled.

    I worked with both Shy Christakos the Service manager and Jose Install Tech Shane HVAC tech to resolve two different issues with my condo’s AC unit. I must say they were professional and responsive, and they followed up as needed. When I had additional questions regarding the installation on a new thermostat they followed up accordingly and resolved things quickly. That’s pretty much what you want when employing a vendor to tackle a job such as this.

    My water heater leaked all over my loft. I was in a chaotic mess. Another company was called to install a new water heater. I was concerned about the installation, placement, and new pipes that were added. The big problem was that after a 4 hour install I still didn’t have hot water. I know my management company had contracted with Excel Mechanical in the past so I reached out to them. I spoke to Shy Christakos and I could not say enough good things about her. Shy is a consummate professional who runs a tight ship. She listened attentively to my concerns, came up with a plan to solve my problem and sprung into action. Shy sent Neil - a master plumber and Josh to assess my situation and troubleshoot. Neil found the problem, corrected it and I had hot water in 45 minutes. Shy provided me with top notch, compassionate service from Excel. Shy doesn’t settle for anything less than excellent. She cared about the chaos I was dealing with and sincerely wanted to help me. Shy is a gem that reflects Excel’s shine. I highly recommend this company.

    Staff arrived as expected, didnt complain about the setup, replaced the inside coil with a new one, added the parts that we requested. Before leaving they made a final AC run for 15 minutes to see that everything behaved properly. We needed 8 lbs of refrigerant added, I dont know if we were down that already or if much gets lost during the removal and restoration.

    The Excel professional arrived early and was extremely helpful and informative. He checked our air handler, changed the filter and replaced our thermostat and explained very carefully how each part of the system worked and should be cared for. He also helped us install the Honeywell app and register our appliance. Every question we had was answered carefully and completely, and he was very pleasant to work with. I would not call any service besides Excel Mechanical in the future for any work necessary and will gladly recommend them.

    Called Excel after our boiler went out during a -10 cold snap (Early Feb ‘22), AND we had a burst pipe. No plumbers were returning our calls due to them all being busy. Shay at Excel picked up right away and we had someone out the next day. Crew was quick to diagnose boiler (new electrical harness) and fix our burst pipe (pain in the butt in a crawl space). The wiring harness was a hard part to track down but Shay and Josh in the Excel office were dogged and chased down the supply houses & manufacturer to source the part before the next cold snap. They also helped arrange a maintenance visit for our mini-split heat pump system to tide us over until the boiler is fixed. Great crew at Excel. Will be coming back for more service!

    My HVAC has been a problem since I moved in last December. Excel has always shown up quickly to fix the issues, which have been super complicated. (One of the techs said my HVAC was that most complicated issue hes dealt with this year). The technicians are experienced, professional, kind, and thorough. Ive worked with Regun, Evan, Shane, and Shy and all of them have been incredibly helpful and respectful. Ill also say that if you suspect youll need any support with your HVAC, you should get the membership! Itll save you, for sure.

    They are jacks of all trades, a rarity these days AND they take new clients. Could not be happier with the level of professionalism end to end from scheduling to notification of impending arrival, the work done, follow up, etc. I had them do maintenance on my tankless hot water heater, my gas fireplace, my furnace & AC, and install 2 WIFI thermostats. They arrived on time, were courteous, professional and helpful. I could not be more delighted! They have become my go to!

    Today the tech arrived late, but I had planned on being home so this was not an issue. I did receive text updates about the estimated arrival times. The last time the tech arrived right at 8am. (days change and repairs are not predictable so I plan accordingly) Aaron was extemely friendly, listened intently to the history of the unit and the items previously adressed before he arrived. The repair was made during the visit and the issue was thoroughly explained to me. Great value for the fees charged and I have added them to my phone as a company I will absolutely use agian and reccommend.

    I had an urgent need to find out if the hvac was responsible for black mold in a home I had just purchased. They came out immediately due to the nature of the emergency to inspect the unit. In the end it was not the cause of the water but I was happy to pay for the service call anyway because they were so incredibly responsive and kind. I will absolutely hire them for regular maintenance.

    They arrived at the correct time and recharged the. Refrigerant. Checked for leaks in the exposed areas. Apparently there was none observable. The mechanic subsequently called to explain that there could be internal leaks that could be figured out only upon a major 3-4 hour service. He also clarified that If the leak is in the coil, the a/c could be then declared non serviceable. I would have given five stars if the mechanic spoke to the owner directly when the door was not answered immediately and when he gave a assessment of the system immediately after the serviceExcel Mechanical was texting me messages about their mechanic being on the way, then they called me on the phone within minutes of when the mechanic arrived and the door was not answered for when the mechanic arrived. There were some anxious moments for me as the owner of the apt sitting remotely, until I learned that the door was answered in about 3 minutes mechanic gained entry in the apartment.The mechanic does not call. The company calls. I try to call back the company. It goes to voicemail. I try to call the tenent. She does not answer. These were my anxious moments.

    My tenant reported a clogged drain in the bathtub the weekend before Thanksgiving. Excel Mechanical was all booked but was willing to make special accommodation to come out to make a correct diagnosis, i.e. not a clogged drain but a malfunctioning linkage/popup. Then a plumber came back the next day to replace the broken part. This was all done before the holiday out of their busy schedule. The best of all was that I was called 30 minutes before the arrival of the plumber so that I did not have to wait for the entire window of two hours.
