We have used Madaras to install recessed lighting throughout our 30 year old house, and they have helped with a recent kitchen remodel that involved installing power strips and under cabinet lighting and switches so that the new backsplash had no visible plugs or switches.Each experience with Madaras has been very positive. The always answer the phone and work to schedule the work as quickly as possible. They also do an excellent of job of following up to get the electrician to your home sooner if their schedule changes and they are able to work you in. They know how to maintain and really work their waiting list, unlike many other companies I have used in the past.The job involved two trips to our home -- one to run the wiring before the new backsplash was installed, and a second trip to finish the installation after the tile was installed. Kevin is always prompt, arrives on time, and provides excellent customer service. He offers creative solutions and his work is high quality. We also like the fact that he is friendly, but able to complete the work quickly without delay.Because we own a 30 year old home and we have been updating, we are on a first name basis with Kevin and his wife, who runs the office. We trust them to provide excellent work at a fair price, so we do not call anyone else.We highly recommend Madaras for all electrical work.

5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!! Very impressed with Madaras Electrical! Mercedes was professional and accommodating when we spoke on the phone and scheduled my appointment. She called about 20 minutes prior to my appointment to let me know Kevin was on his way. I had a 2 hour window and he showed up within 5-10 minutes of that window (that never happens!). Kevin was beyond amazing! He knew exactly how to fix BOTH of the problems I called about, immediately. I think he was in and out of my house within 30-45 minutes, and fixed TWO problems during that time. He was extremely knowledgeable, and probably one of the friendliest maintenance people Ive ever worked with. If I EVER need electrician services again, Im calling Madaras Electrical!!!

Kevin showed up early and was very thorough with the generator transfer panel installation in my garage. After he quickly and efficiently knocked that out, he installed an outlet for my outdoor patio lights and put the patio fans and lights on separate switches, something that should have been done during the original build. I highly recommend Kevin for his thoroughness and professionalism. He is an extremely competent electrician!

The crew over at Madaras Electrical are absolutely great to work with. They came out and gave me a quote for installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage for an electric vehicle charger. Not only did they give me a quote, but Kevin talked about some of the pros and cons of placing the charger at different locations within my garage. They came out and performed the work about a week later and they even installed the charger on the wall for me! Great people and great service. What more can you ask for?

The owner came and installed a new ceiling fan and 4 can lights in record breaking time... I was very impressed. He even took extra time to level the fan to make sure it was balanced. They also had better prices than any other electrician I called.Definitely recommend them.Also, the negative reviews on these guys have nothing to do with workmanship or service... Just some personality differences that everyone has.

Kevin and Mercedes have both been to our home on two occasions to install a slew of lighting around our home. After Harvey came through and left a little over two and a half feet of water in our home, almost no part of our home was left untouched when it had to be redone and we also had a chance to do some upgrades as well and they were very helpful with both.Before they came in, they had also done some great work for us 3 years. They had installed some recessed lighting in our kitchen and living room, and we had never had problem with the work.Before starting the job, we had researched the look and items we wanted installed, but as we walked the job with Kevin on the initial consultation, we were grateful to have his honest opinions and considerations when it came to styles and price that would work best in that room, whether it was more or less expensive than what we were asking for.So in the first trip out they did lighting above and below our cabinets, recessed lighting in our closets, bathrooms, secondary bedrooms, and hallways. Installed pendants over the kitchen bar and 3 sconces in the master bath. They also switched out all our switches for more updated ones and put dimmers in some rooms. In my laundry room, Kevin had to move the electrical in one wall to make room for a pocket door an install a new lighting switch on another wall.The next time, unfortunately one of our upper cabinet lights was not working anymore, as well as a recessed light in the bathroom, so Kevin took care of it no problem.The rest of the job entailed us changing our mind on the lights over the bar, and so Kevin had to switch them out with another set. Also, hang the pendant over the breakfast room table, the recessed lights in our master bedroom, and install a bluetooth component to a bathroom fan and new switch for the fan.We still have more work for him to do, but you know how construction goes. But if you need a team for electrical that is reliable and does excellent work, and you can trust what they suggest, this is your team.

Awesome! We have used Kevin several times for various electrical work, from small jobs, trouble shooting problems to replacing the breaker panel and installing multiple new fixtures. Kevin ran electrical wires and installed an angled ceiling in my sixteen foot ceiling with little effort today. I have had four others tell me that it could not be done due to there being no crawl space to run the wires. On his first visit to access my needs he informed me that he would only cut one small hole in the ceiling to determine if the wire could be ran whereas some wanted to cut up to three large holes and I would have to hire someone to patch the holes, he did assure me that he felt it could be done, well here I sit with a new fan installed in record time. Kevin takes great pride in his work displaying professionalism at all time. He will always have me as a customer and any of my friends in need of excellent service will be referred to Madaras Electrical.

I finally found an electrician that is friendly to work with, conscientious about their work, ensures they complete their task totally, explains their progress as they work and charges reasonable rates!This is all that a homeowner can ask for!Michael Harder is one of their Master Electricians, with over 30 years of experience, that replaced a GFCI outlet near our pool equipment within minutes, with minimal charges.As I explained my situation over the phone, Ray in their office estimated the charges correctly and set up the appointment for the same afternoon.As promised, Michael called ahead before he arrived to let me know when he would precisely be at our house.Thank you for a job well done!Madaras Electrical is my go-to electrician going forward for any of our electrical needs!

Very good customer service, I wanted to install a whole house power surge protector, when I called the first time, they took the time to answer all my questions and put me in the next available appointment. Kevin, Madaras Electrical owner, came by punctually today to: 1) install a new chandelier for my 19-ft-high ceiling 2) install a front porch surveillance cam, 3) replace 3 defective interior outlets, and 4) replace a defective outdoor GFI. He was very pleasant & professional, and did a great job overall. He was especially careful & patient with the chandelier install. Would highly recommend !

Did a great job. Had them install a surge suppressor on my breaker panel to protect the house appliances, TV, computer, etc. Well worth the investment. Also replaced a outside light switch with one that comes on automatically with sunrise, sunset for my outside light, no more photo cell. Great technology.

Thanks Michael and Victor! Able to get landscape lighting, a new electric panel, and add a goalzero home integration circuit box. That last item allows a lithium battery that can be solar charged to power 4 of the lower amperage circuits either in a power outage or as a solar offset. In other words, wifi and TV can essentially be powered 24/7/365 from solar, but things like the AC are still powered exclusively by the utility. And in truth, even if the AC was able to be connected, the battery capacity would only last an hour or two. What I really liked about this company was that they did it all in a single day and seemed focused on the things we wanted. Some other companies seemed to just be focused on what they normally do, not what we wanted. Great company to work with.

I dont understand the negative review. About three years ago - I ran into a major problem at my home that knocked my whole house in the dark in hot weather. They came right out, identified the problem, and got me fixed up. A real life saver. Family run business - you deal directly with them instead of some corporate monster. Appreciate their service - in fact called them today for some additional work and shocked to see the negative review.UPDATE: just had them out to install a RV plug. Very efficient and installed properly. Very reasonable on pricing. Again, highly recommend these folks.

I would give an additional star, if they had one! Mercedes communicated timely about Kevins arrival. On arrival, Kevin and Nick got down to business straight away. They both were professional, and had the courtesy to wear shoe covers (dont see that with some of the other guys). Kevin was very reasonable and saved me $$. They were done in less than an hour for multiple fixes - door bell, 5 smoke detectors, kitchen disposal switch issue. Kevin diagnosed all the problems in a flash, and fixed it pretty quick too! He is tech savvy too and explained the break-down of the bill on a cool tablet he carries. Very nice family feeling, with no pressure.
