    JNR did a great job. Dario was our technician, and he was assisted by Martin. They were on time and informative. We are first-time homebuyers and Dario took time to look at our equipment and talked us through our options. He basically treated our house like it was his own. I also appreciated the ease of paying our invoice and the ease of scheduling the appointment.

    JNR and our tech Parke were great in solving a two issues regarding a washing machine drain. I spoke to the owner on the phone first, going over the appointment and he was very thorough in describing how the company operates- pricing etc. I liked how Parke sent me both job estimates on his iPad for me to sign before we agreed to any work- he completed both jobs in the same day. Transparent for sure. Fair pricing and no surprises. Will 100% use again in the future for any plumbing issues.

    Getting an appointment within a short period of time on phone with call center was easy; the communication with company is tremendous; their identification of technician and his progress getting to my location was great; the faucet replacement was actually on a sailboat but the technician was easy to speak to and understood my issues even though this water system setup was new to him; offered great suggestions; totally pleased with the work….wish the cost was a bit lower — phew!

    After moving into a new house, we scheduled an annual maintenance but needed a new hot water heater. Our tech, Parke, took the time to explain what malfunctioned, the symptoms we were seeing and gave us several repair/replacement options to choose from. Installation was a breeze and didn’t even wake my newborn from his nap. JNR also reorganized schedules to have the replacement next day and apologized they couldn’t do it same day. Highly recommend!

    We worked with JNR Plumbing on a recent pipe/sewer issue on our property. They were great to work with as well as very responsive and quick. We were able to communicate by phone, email or text, whichever was preferred which is nice. Our main POC/tech was Steve who was excellent.     I needed to have a sump pump repaired that was originally done by the previous owner over 20 yrs ago. Dario evaluated the situation thoroughly and completely explained what had been done wrong and what needed to be done to make it right. Dario reviewed the cost involved and asked for my input. He came at 1pm with another plumber named Christian and both worked for 4 hours when the job was then completed. I also needed a new faucet in the bathroom which was completed. Dario was the most professional contractor I have ever had work on my home. Extraordinary attention to detail. I am so pleased with his knowledge and professional manner and of course, with the finished product. I will never use any other plumbing company. An extra bonus was that I was informed about who was coming, that included pictures, and I was given a map to see when they would be arriving. There were two men and both each wore a mask whenever they needed to speak to me. The best customer service I have ever received! Thank you.

    We had a few issues going on at our condo and JNR sent Dario to help us. He arrived and got everything done on time. He clearly communicated everything that was being done. We were able to get everything addressed in one morning. There was also great communication with the office along the way and easy ways to pay online, which I appreciate it.     What a great experience working with Parke at JNR Plumbing to replace my hot water tank and pipes. Parke was very professional, went through my options on a new tank and while he was inspecting my pipes he found a pipe that needed to be replaced. The installation of the new tank went great. There was no mess to clean up after the installation. I would highly recommend JNR plumbing and Parke to anyone who needs plumbing work done.     From calling JNR Plumbing to the end of the process, was a pleasure. I had a dripping faucet in my bathroom sink and under the sink. JNR scheduled my appointment for the next day with a morning window. Later in the day, Norbert Deak called to ask if he could come earlier. That was perfect. I had an exact time and he was at my home. Norbert was very polite and did the job efficiently.With an explanation of the work he needed to do, the cost was reasonable. We also received a 5% Senior Discount. I would be happy to call JNR again, for my plumbing needs. JNR also called me later in the day to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

    *UPDATE SEPT, 2024 - Had some concerns with my cast iron waste pipe so I made an appointment over the phone. Steve arrived on time and advised that the issue was not serious but suggested considering replacing 80+ year old cast iron and provided an estimate. While he was there, I asked him to replace the valves for my washing machine, which he did.*UPDATE* I had some water near my heating system in the basement on the night of Dec 23. I quickly went online and booked an appointment for the next morning, Christmas Eve which was confirmed after midnight via text. Joseph Kmetz showed up promptly at 902 AM, diagnosed the problem (a minor one, fortunately) and fixed it in 45 minutes. He explained clearly what was wrong and advised me on next steps, it was a HUGE relief with guests arriving for Christmas later in the day.**I recently purchased a new home that required a few relatively minor plumbing repairs. Dario from JNR has been excellent in each of his three visits - informative, friendly, prompt, and reliable.Online service booking is incredibly convenient to allow me to plan days to work from home, and all three times Ive booked an appointment Dario showed up within the first 20 minutes of the one hour appointment window.Very pleased.

    Dario just completed our annual Navian service today, supported by another JNR technician (Parke). As always, Dario answers every question for us, which helps us to learn about our homes systems and provides helpful clarity. Its much appreciated! We also like JNRs responsible and simple system for scheduling, appointment reminders, knowing when our technician is on the way (you can track their progress to your home), and invoicing andf payment. Its very professional and gives us peace of mind. JNR will be our first call when plumbing needs arrive, and well ask for Dario complete our service!(1/2021) Dario returned to assist us in January 2021 and, as usual, answered all of our questions, was very respectful, and helped us to solve a few unusual problems with his creativity and inventiveness. Were hoping to have JNR return again to install a whole-house filtration system once weve completed a few other projects!(2020) JNR plumbing, and their capable and friendly technician, Dario Marras, provided a 21st century plumbing experience (better than Ive ever had before!). Dario answered our many questions knowledgeably and with great patience. He described a number of detailed options for us, provided written estimates on the spot, and completed two projects we agreed to right then, both related to the maintenance of our tankless hot water heater. He was creative in his work, very respectful of our home, generous in every way, and left our place as clean as it was when he got here. I have no question that we will contact JNR and Dario for our plumbing needs.(2022) Dario is a great technician and problem solver, listens carefully to our needs and supports our understanding.     JNR is expensive but Mario was easy to work with and got the job done quickly and well. He offered several options for me to choose from.The only issue is that, for a very simple job, the price seemed extreme: $400 to replace a single outdoor water spigot with a brass double spigot. They don’t break out labor from materials.

    Dario was great…very nice and professional and he did a very nice job. Then a few weeks later, Maverick and Christian came in and installed a totally new Navien water heater. They were honest in their advice, very professional, and hard-working....they stayed for 10 hours to finish the job! The unit looks great and we are very happy with the results.Christian was here to fix a leak under our sink and install a faucet a couple months later, and we again found him to be very friendly and helpful. He made sure to double and triple check his work so that we could be sure there were no remaining problems.     I had a particularly prickely prombem with the sewer drain which ran under the floor in my basement. Dario, Parke and the whole crew were very good at what they do. They replaced the whole system with new PVC and connected it to the local sewer system. They were courteous, kept the house as clean as possible and started and finished the job on schedule.

    Ive used JNR Plumbing twice in recent months, and both times I was extremely satisfied with the work done--once to replace an outdoor faucet and once to replace an indoor faucet. Chis Borda was my technician both times, and he was prompt, careful, able to clearly explain the issues and solutions, and absolutely meticulous. I also appreciated being able to reach someone immediately by phone who could schedule the jobs, and the followup communication was first-rate. I was on a tight schedule both times, however, so I didnt do price comparisons, and I sense the prices are on the high side. But Im more than satisfied with the quality of the work, and would use them again.Update--3/16/2024Due to winter damage, the outdoor hose bib failed, and it was no longer under warranty, but I called JNR Plumbing again on an emergency basis to fix the leak, and they were here very, very quickly on a weekend to do a repair. My technician Steve Forcier was prompt and communicated every aspect of the repair...and got the work done quickly and efficiently. He also gave me a tip on how to protect the outdoor faucet over the winter. I really appreciate being able to contact an office who can relay info to the technicians in the field for emergencies like this.

    100% would use again.Rommel at JNR was great. My water heater broke and started leaking, and Rommel was very transparent about what was wrong and the cost to correct the issue. In under 24 hours I had a new water heater installed, at a fair price.An additional shoutout: JNR is pretty much all digital, with the exception of the initial phone conversation I had with them. Quotes are emailed (so you have documentation), they send you a picture of who your repairperson will be as well as their qualifications, you get a tracking notification to tell you exactly when theyll be arriving, and everything is paid online. It all felt seamless.

They were very responsive via email ahead of the appointment, and we were able to schedule something to fix our leak very quickly. On the day of the service, Brett was not only on time, he was able to come early-- he called ahead to check if that was okay. He arrived soon after, wearing a mask, shoe covers, and gloves.     This is our third time hiring JNR, and this time, as always, they were great! Our water heater was seriously damaged as a result of basement flooding during Ida. When we called, they responded right away. Although it was pretty clear we needed a new water heater, our plumber Dario worked out a temporary fix so we could get hot water right away, and then two days later installed a new water heater for us. He was extremely professional, and explained every step of the process very clearly. Could not recommend JNR more!Just to update, we recently used JNR again when our toilet was malfunctioning, constantly running water when not needed. Dario came right away, showed us how to do a temporary fix, and very clearly outlined the alternative repairs. Based on Darios advice, we decided to buy a new toilet, and Maverick came and installed it for us. He did a great job! Even scrubbed the floor around the new smaller base, above and beyond the call of duty. JNR is great!

    We had the floor replaced in our basement, and after a couple of days discovered that there was water under the floor in the bathroom. I called JNR on a Monday, and they fit me in same day. Parke arrived and was prompt, professional, friendly and personable. He quickly diagnosed that the floor installers had lifted the toilet which compromised the seal. Parke pulled the toilet and I had the floor installers come and re-do the room, after which Parke came back and installed the toilet again. We are now better than ever and I’m thoroughly satisfied with JNR, who I will continue to use for all of our plumbing needs. For anyone curious, there was no charge to me from the flooring company for redoing the room, either!Updated 3 May 2024: Parke noticed a couple of other items in our garage when he was here last week to help with the toilet. Today he came back and replaced our rusted-out laundry valve, as well as a relief valve on our water tank. Parke arrived promptly even with I95 closed from exists 13-15 due to the recent tanker fire, and took care of both fixes. As always, I couldnt be happier with JNR or with Parke. Thanks again!Updated 15 May 2024: I’d love to stop needing to call JNR but that’s just not how things have been going lately! Martin came out with Parke to help replace a laundry drain pipe which had separated. The solution I have now is a lot better than what it replaced, Martin and Parke were glad to answer my questions and explain things to me as they went, and even had a couple of pointers as to where I might start with repairing my broken washing machine. Always great dealing with JNR.

    This was our first time using JNR Plumbing. Christian, the plumber we were sent, was excellent! We definitely recommend him.     I called JNR for a last minute toilet repair on a Friday. They were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and timely. I gave a call at around 11:45am, and by 2pm the job was complete! Once to evaluate what was needed and then two times to perform the work.The first time was to install a filter on our tankless hot water heater that wasnot installed by the previous owner,but required by the manufacturer.And on the third visit, he rearranged and cleaned the logs in our gas fireplace, as well as cleaned out and replaced the sand and embers, provided by us. Very inexpensive to buy on Amazon.In addition, as we are new owners in our current residence, and there was a major gut renovation in 2019, We are first using our major appliances.     Easy and fast to set up an appointment ( next morning). They are transparent about what everything will cost you. They are not cheap but come and do the job. I had three things to fix another plumber did a bad job on ( one issue, a leak, cost me a lot more money). Now all is finally working nicely. One of the issues was a non-functioning garbage disposal. Dario carefully inspected it and concluded it needed replacement- he showed me exactly why it needed replacement. Dario immediately called and JNR came within an hour with a new one specific for our septic system. During that hour he fixed the other issues.I had to call JNR again for another issue. Again very polite receptionist, next day appointment early morning. Again a person, Joseph who knows his job, was there on time-there were some serious complications that needed extra costs, again JNR wasvery transparent about that. Joseph stayed until the job was done ( 4 hours of continuous work). This is such a professional company - a bit expensive but your home is so much better protected for the future.

    Rommel came today on 10/25/2023 to fix a continuously defective bathtub drain. It was a complex problem that was assessed by Dario 2 days ago. Rommel completed an outstanding complex repair involving access thru the kitchen ceiling to the upstairs bathtub. He did an outstanding repair and it looks better than ever. More importantly it functions perfectly! Darío is our original genius, but Rommel is an outstanding technical professional as well, and very gracious. Our home is 115 years old, and the plumbing is also antique. JNR saves the day!!!I’m so excited to be able to call on JNR when we have any problems relating to plumbing, water quality and also for my daughter’s house.On 3/8/23 Dario and his colleague were able to get a radiator that was not heating the bedroom at all, (unlike the other radiators, all of which use hot water circulating through the pipes).\He also did the inspection and boiler maintenance for our instant hot water system while he was at our home.He is careful, precise, and gracious. He is the most knowledgeable and patient plumber and heating specialist we have ever met. He also educates his colleagues on every tip that he has made to our home.If we could give him 10 stars, we certainly wouldOur home is over 100 years old and the pipes from the curb stop into the house were badly corroded. The water had a pH of 8.5 and also tasted horrible. Inside the house the valves were horribly rusted and brittle. This was a very big job!!!! JNR (Dario) arranged to have excavation done on the lawn to the town curbstop, replaced the pipes for our water supply, replaced the badly rusted pipes inside the house as well as the valves, so now the water quality is the appropriate pH and tastes great. And we don’t have the worry of if we lose power, we can turn off the water so that the risk of ruptured pipes is minimized.The plumbers are all splendid, gracious, careful and very neat. Also they have answered all of our questions and given us the pros and cons of different options. And the prices have been appropriate, alsoThey all are the REAL professionals!We are fortunate to have found them and endorse JNR heartily.

    The installation of a Navien boiler, for heating and hot water, went very well up until the point that the system was to be connected to the existing thermostat control system. The technician left at the end of the day in November with the unit requiring to be turned on and off manually and a promise that the owner would make a referral to an electrician to fix the problem the following day. This did not happen and we had to scramble to find someone to fix the thermostat control system ourselves. We were contacted five days later after leaving a poor review. The owner agreed to pay for the repairs to thermostat control system. We were promptly reimbursed and the system is now working well. After an initial period of frustration, I am now satisfied with the quality of the installation.

I kept the name on file.Last Sunday I had a serious plumbing problem with both full bathrooms which had become unusable because of a clog in the drain lines. No water could be poured down drains including my washing machine and showers. Could I get a plumber on a Sunday (they need family time, too)? When I called JNR, the owner answered. He was pleasant, patient and asked questions to analyze the source of the problem. He said it was safe to use downstairs sinks and bathroom. I noted that this generous owner gave me a significant amount of time on the phone to try to determine the seriousness of the plumbing problem. He is an excellent business man and a caring person.I made an appointment for the next day. Brett, the tech taking the call phoned ahead to see if he could come earlier than scheduled as he had a cancellation. He was prompt, wearing a mask. He patiently and thoroughly discussed the problem with me. My descriptions and his observations as he studied the bathrooms led him to two possible sources of the problem. He explained the prices for each possible job, prices for associated labor plus parts. He was a very skilled, knowledgeable and thoughtful person. He worked nonstop, efficiently and was assisted by a young man who was so polite and very focused on helping. They were such an impressive team. They did an excellent job covering all the floors and stairs for protection. They also cleaned up in the bathrooms. Brett and his assistant have admirable work ethics.     Christian Borda and Bryan Astudillo came to install a valve kit for a leaky faucet (because of the make of faucet they previously explained how I could get this part faster and for free if I contacted the manufacturer -which worked out exactly as they said). When they came to install it, they explained all they were going to do and also cleaned and greased inside the faucet handle so that now it is working smoother than before as well as not leaking anymore. They showed me how the stop valves for the hot and cold lines were old, not closing properly by hand and leaking when manipulated (they also looked corroded) so they quoted me instantly to replace those and did a really clean job of installing those at the same time so that I dont have any leaking or future issues if I need to operate them. Wonderful experience!!During a hot August week, my wife had invited two leading Greenwich, CT, Plumbing/Air Conditioning firms to send costly experts, who each charged $600 to $1,200 to blast compressed air into a blocked 1/2” air conditioning condensation drain line. Both concluded the drain was blocked, and the problem unsolvable, and we needed a new $15,000 system.We tried one last resort Friday afternoon call to JNR, and they sent Brett at 8.00 am Saturday, andBrett did what no others had tried. He went immediately into our uncomfortable crawl space, and cut into the drain line, immediately discovered the obstacle, cleared it out.Then he explained a second air conditioning unit that was scheduled for replacement had the same problem. Now both work 100%. Then he fixed a leaking kitchen fawcet, and heard a toilet running. “That’s been going on for years. Nobody can fix it” my wife explained. He fixed that in 15 minutes.So our experience with JNR and Brett is they probably did more in four hours than anyone we have worked with, with air conditioning or plumbing emergencies, in Greenwich in 35 years.

    The work was nothing short of superb, as always the case with JNR. If I could rate it on a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate it as a 6. I would have no problem doing so, and Im not the easiest customer to please.     As usual, the service was superb. The technician is just fabulous. Hes professional, courteous, knowledgeable. Anecdotally, he was coming to reconnect a frozen pipe that he had serviced and had to wait for the water remediation to be complete so he could reconnect and finish up the service. Brett did not like the amount of cold air blowing over the pipe that had previously frozen and asked if he could investigate where it was coming from. We went to the basement, and OMG, there was an additional leak that had probably just happened within the last 24-36 hrs. It was a pin hole leak and created quite a good amount of water and damage to items. If it wasnt for his diligence, I could have had hundreds of gallons of water on the floor, lost the water heater and furnace and thousands of dollars in damage to items. He was able to fix the leak, install a lot of new piping that he felt was compromised and communicated with me as to why the leak happened. He even provided me with an estimate (within a few hours of completing the job) of how much he thought needed to be done to secure the pipes. He also called me later to let me know that a water pump on the water heater was not connected. Oh, so thats why I had to wait so long for hot water upstairs. I would recommend JNR to anyone as an incredibly excellent company. Brett is so knowledgeable and unique. Thank Goodness for Brett

    My husband and I took a chance on JNR and we’re glad we did! We recently moved to an almost 100-year-old house in Norwalk (built in 1924) that has a Navien tankless water heater which works beautifully. When we learned that our former plumbing company does not service Navien, I searched the Navien website to find a “Navien Service Specialist” in our area. The reviews for JNR were consistently positive, and our home repair person who is former plumber also recommended them, so we decided to give them a try. The level of communication from JNR was very good from start to finish. The JNR technician, Dario, was skilled, patient, thorough, creative, and took COVID precautions (mask and shoe covers) which we greatly appreciated. The apprentice technician, Christian, was also knowledgeable, pleasant, and respectful of being in our home. We intend to use JNR again – and encourage others to do the same!

I picked the cheaper one because I didnt think the other was necessary and the work was done, including extras which we hadnt discussed, within 45 minutes. Unfortunately the washing machine drain line was attached to one of the galvanized pipes as we did not have a basement sink.     Had a rather urgent need for a plumber today to unclog a toilet. Called JNR and they were onsite within an hour! The plumber (J. Kmetz) had matters under control with 15-20 minutes of his arrival. Professional, courteous, effective and efficient. The only thing keeping them from a 5-star rating is a sundries charge that was levied -- $10 for essentially nothing. Sort of a Mickey Mouse add-on one top of $140 bill in my humble opinion.
