Great company and great work. My 15-year old Generac was unable to maintain speed and keep the lights on. Vince at Veteran Electric came out, and after several days of troubleshooting was able to get the generator working back to normal. Jonathan from Veteran Electric did a great job. Answered all questions I had, made sure I know exactly how to switch over to my generator when needed.After the install was complete and we were testing everything our 220v dryer wouldnt come on. Was only getting power to 1 leg. He pulled the breaker, put it back in and the dryer worked, however since it should have worked the first time he opted to just change out the breaker for another just in case. He also used a label printer to label the breakers instead of hand writing, I really liked that. and the wiring is all nice and neat now. I ran my generator to power fans, the refrigerator, and the freezer and it worked like a champ. With the transfer switch added (below and to the right of the breaker panel, whenever we lose power I can simply plug the generator right in and power the entire house including the AC. I also had a double outlet added, since we moved here the only outlet I could use for the freezer and my work bench is on the ceiling (yeah, go figure).Ignore the rough looking drywall patch, I havent sanded it yet.He started at 9:30 am and finished by 2pm.

This firm has mastered what so many competitors have not. They come when they say they are going to come. They communicate. And they use a good deal of skill in diagnosing and fixing electrical problems. Not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. Deserves its high rating.

Our Generac generator encountered operational issues, prompting my husband to contact the original installation company. They diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning motor and provided a quote of $3,500 for a replacement. Seeking alternative assessments, my husband engaged a second service provider, who identified the issue as a faulty field sensor, which was subsequently replaced. However, the generator remained unresponsive, and this company expressed its inability to resolve the matter.A third company then suggested that the generator required a new battery. Following their recommendation, we purchased a battery from AutoZone. Upon their return, the generator still failed to start. This time, they indicated a need for a new switch. Nevertheless, their solution proved ineffective, and they then proposed a diagnosis fee of $600 without any guarantee of resolution.Ultimately, my husband discovered Veteran Electric. Their technician promptly identified the underlying issue, and the charges were significantly lower than those quoted by the previous companies. Furthermore, they addressed an outstanding recall issue overlooked by the other providers. Since Veteran Electrics intervention, our Generac has been operating smoothly.I wholeheartedly recommend Veteran Electric for their expertise and effective service. We were having our foundation raised and in the process,the main wire to our home, going into our internal fuse box, was pulled down which caused a fire and destroyed the switch box. Veteran Fire not only replaced the switch box but also got under the home and respliced the wire to the main breaker. They also installed a new main disconnect They did this all in 36 hours all the while working the problem and talking to the foundation company. We now know what it is like to have professional electricians!

Veteran Electric came to my house through my warranty company to replace the electrical panel. I worked with Vince to get to this point since Veteran electric had to do an assessment and deliver diagnosis to them first. Everyone from Veteran Electric was very nice and knowledgeable. Vince called me after hours to answer questions and speak with me before they even knew they were going to get work from my warranty company. Vince was a pleasure to have at my home for the replacement even though the electricity was off we just had conversation about regular things. He also was more than happy to answer questions or explain anything I asked about that concerned the work they were doing at my house or just general electric questions. I was also impressed that Vince, even though it costed more due to work needed, did not try to change the price he had quoted me for the ground system over the phone. Very cool and rewarding to work with persons of integrity and honesty like the folks at Veteran Electric.

I cant speak highly enough of my experience with Veteran Electric. My project was to finish out an outbuilding as a clubhouse for the kids and retreat for the adults. From the outset when Marcus came over to look at the site it was clear I was working with a knowledgeable professional. The project involved some challenges. New cables needed to be run from the main panel at the house over to the clubhouse where a new sub panel was to be installed. The inside needed wiring throughout including lights, outlets and a fan. We also needed a whip line and shut off installed for an AC unit. Marcus carefully walked me through my options and gave me several pricing choices. He made quick work of it and Im really pleased with the end result. Marcus did a great job. I was especially impressed with his can-do problem solving attitude. Thanks Marcus!

Veteran Electric installed the 50A receptacle and Mechanical interlock for my portable Power generator. I am very pleased with their services for below reasons:I got a quote last year but I did not sign the contract because I was not sure what I really wanted. This year I asked Veteran Electric to provide a quote again and I expect the price will go up due to inflation. But the quote regarding the cost and project approach is exactly the same as last year. This clearly shows they are very consistent with their work and cost.Technician lead Jonathan patiently and clearly answered all my questions.When technician lead Jonathan came to work. He discovered that I needed an extra breaker to complete the project. After I mentioned that I have raised this concern when I get the quote and they did not quote that, Jonathan is willing to honor the original quote without adding extra cost. I really appreciate that they are willing to absorb the cost because it is an issue on their side. For myself with 30 years’ work as an engineer I will say they are really professional.

Larry helped us with some electrical panel repairs we needed for the new house we recently bought. He arrived promptly and got right to work. He noticed that there was an inconsistency that the inspector hadnt noted and that he hadnt seen in his 20 years of electrician work, and took the time to research to make sure that it was safe to have in our home because he said he wouldnt have felt right leaving without knowing that it was safe! He was very patient when explaining what he was doing and also explained in depth after he was done what to do if certain situations arise and how to handle any issues. Just had a great experience with these guys after a very stressful day due to someone else not doing the job right.Generic handyman (NOT THIS COMPANY) replaced a breaker earlier due to a range constantly tripping it, the tripping got worse after. Long story short, wrong amp rating, trying to feed my mom (who was physically there to oversee the repair) some nonsense , conflicting stories about what amp rating was there originally, handyman eventually pulled out the breaker entirely and left. At this point, I dont know what he did, Im not entirely sure that he didnt accidentally or intentionally leave hanging wires in the panel that might short across bus bars, and Im not certain what breaker was even originally there, cant be there myself physically to check. So... at this point a simple breaker replacement has turned into an emergency.After asking around some friends, they mention Veteran Electric. Call Veteran Electric... they answer the phone right away, and yes they do emergency service. Vince comes same day at 7 in the evening, arrives early (is very professional about having to wait until the appointment time due to a missed text). Checks wire gauge on the circuit, installs the right breaker, and leaves. No BS, very reasonable pricing for emergency service, overall quick and painless, no trying to tack extra things on to the bill or extort money. Thank you for the great service!

We are blessed that we found Veteran Electric to install a Generac backup generator 18Kw for our two-story house in The Woodlands TX. This rating was recommended after evaluation and calculation that Vince did for us. Fast and fair quote came through email. We booked a day but we didnt know that we needed a transfer switch for the gas generator we bought. The electrician bought it for us and installed all together in a couple of days. He looked up the price to show me the cost of the new breaker which made me feel really good about the quote. Not like most technicians that quote an all in cost of big bucks for an inexpensive part. I was also quoted by another company to replace my entire panel for $3,000+ dollars and Marcus quoted under 2k. They will be my go to electrician from now on!

I wanted to replace our breaker panel and install a whole-home surge protector in our Kingwood home. I received references for (and quotes from) seven electrical contractors through Angies List and another similar site (dont recall which). Vince was by far the most professional, most transparent, and most candid of all the contractors, and his bid, though not the lowest, was still very competitive, so I awarded the job to Veteran. The work he performed validated my decision. His work was top-notch and his explanation of what he was doing (and why) was as transparent as our interactions during the bidding process. Had him come add decorative lighting over my kitchen island and add two can lights. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Showed up on time and prepared. I recently needed to have some work done at my house, so I obtained a quote from Abacus, a well-known company that was quite high, $1700. At the same time my home warranty company had sent veteran electric to look at a ceiling fan that had stopped working. I obtained a quote from them while they were there - they quoted me $359 for the same work. The choice was a no-brainer. The Veteran Electric electricians that came (Jonathan and Sal) were professional, knowledgeable and polite. When they were done they explained the work and showed me the results. I was very impressed and won’t hesitate to recommend this company to friends and family in the future.

I dont even know where to begin with this company. This is not only a team of personable and friendly professionals, they are experts at what they do. You can tell that each of them takes what they do seriously. Doc, Vince and their team went above and beyond like it was second nature to them. They were contracted to retrofit our home (already an all day job) and they didnt leave until everything was working as it was supposed to. They labeled the breaker switches so wed no longer be clueless, they answered every question honestly. They even made sure to keep an eye out for our escape artist cats so that they didnt get out, for crying out loud!!! Everyone, from the office staff to the fieldworkers, has got their s**t together. I dont care what line of business others are in, they should all strive to provide this kind of service to their customers. We used Veteran Electric during our home remodel, and they were great. Vince gave us an informed and fair estimate of work throughout the house and was a pleasure to work with. The team members that came out were terrific - extremely competent, professional, and it impressed me that they really worked as a team. I remarked to them how nice it was to see people who seemed to enjoy their work and the people they were working with. I notice little things and observed many, e.g. asking for a sheet to cover the bedspread in a newly decorated room so no dust would get on it while working on the ceiling, cleaning up areas where they worked, etc. And a shout out to Doc, who went above and beyond! They know what they are doing! For small or large jobs, I would highly recommend Veteran Electric.

After buying a house and doing some minor electric work myself, we began having major electrical issues throughout the house. Long story short, we were in a pinch as I had to cut all power off to the house on a Saturday morning. I called V.E. at about 10am and they had a tech on site at 12PM.The tech quickly identified that the main panel was not properly wired, a big issue but simple fix. All in all it was a great experience.We did have to pay an additional $100 dollar service fee due to it being an emergency call (which is reasonable and standard for the industry). The tech was so quick to identify and fix the problem that he did not even charge for the fix. He also gave me a list of some things they could do to bring us closer to code.Prompt and honest.

Veterans Electric came out and wired a swim spa at my house. No easy job. They ran 125 feet of wire and added a separate breaker box and did a very professional job before the spa was even in place. When it was they came back out the same day we called and hooked it up with no additional charge! I am very happy and will use them again and refer them to anyone thats needed work done!

Vince and his team are top notch in every way. Customer service from the office staff is very responsive and accommodating. I hired Veteran Electric to replace my main breaker panel, meter box and riser. I compared quotes from two other companies and Veteran Electric was less than half the price.There was an issue / misunderstanding at the power company, TXNM, where they shut off my power 24hrs prior to the scheduled date. Since this occurred during the middle of the business day, I was not aware of this until after hours with no way to have TXNM reconnect that evening.I made one call to Vince, he immediately mobilized to League City and did the complete job that evening. While I was impressed with the quick, no questions asked mobilization, the real challenge was having the electrical inspector come out that evening to approve the work and getting TXNM come out to reconnect the power. TXNM was hesitant to mobilize a technician but Vince was absolutely relentless in getting them out to my home.I will be hiring Veteran Electric for all of my electrical needs while I remodel my home.Thank you Vince and the Veteran Electric team!

I recently moved in to an older home and noticed that the previous owners had done some DIYs on the property. I also found a reversed polarity outdoor outlet. I was burning up a lot if light bulbs in particular places and i lost my piece if mind wondering what sort of issues i could have and wether i could end up with a house fire. I called Veteran Electric one evening at 10:45pm on a Friday after half the power to my house went out. I dialed their emergency extension and Vince talked to me. He was very informative, listened to my electrical problems and went on to suggest i call centerpoint to come out. He gave me their number and told me they usually come out within 4 hours. Sure enough centerpoint came out and narrowed the issue down to an underground wire on my property. Veteran electric came out that Saturday morning and we spoke about what needs to happen next. Veteran electric has given me piece of mind and they invested their time, knowledge and effort for not one dime! They give you a free estimate and will come out to your residence for free! I am very happy to have found an electrician that values customer relationships. I will now contract them to install a doorbell at my house. My advice to you if you are intimidated with electricians’ high prices and technical jargon is to call these folks: Veteran Electrician!

I began a large open floor plan living area and kitchen renovation just prior to the COVID outbreak and was very concerned we would be without a functioning kitchen for months. I employ only licensed electricians for my home and have used Veteran Electric Inc. exclusively now for 2 years after disappointments with 3 previous companies’ electricians. My renovation required Jonathan with Veteran Electric to work around other contractors’ work schedules and he was called in 5 times over a period of 3 months. Major electrical renovation summary: Jonathan rewired the newly constructed kitchen island for new appliances and added electrical outlets, installed a 220V receptacle/cable for a previously hardwired range to bring it up to code, corrected wiring issues in the backsplash wall and installed new under cabinet lighting, removed outdated large fluorescent “puffs” and replaced them with recessed LED light fixtures, added new LED recessed fixtures in the kitchen, and modified existing wiring then hung new chandelier and pendant light fixtures resulting in the reduction of required wall switches. Thanks to Jonathan and Veteran Electric’s staff and their willingness to work and respect proper health protocol during COVID, I have been blessed with healthy meals in a fully functioning kitchen for a month now. I highly recommend them for their expert knowledge and exceptional work.

Veteran Electric delivered exceptional service in installing our home Generac. We were scheduled for our installation on July 9th, 2024, the day after Hurricane Beryl. With over 2 million people, including our home, without power, I had no expectation that I would see them.However, Doc and his crew arrived on Tuesday morning, installed our Generac, and had our home fully powered by lunchtime. They did an incredible job, were exceptionally friendly, and ensured everything was done exactly right. Their warm and welcoming attitude made the whole experience even more pleasant. I cant express how impressed I was by their ability to show up the day after a hurricane and complete the job.Additionally, Vincent (the business owner) came over the next day to fully service our Generac when he was already dealing with an incredibly packed schedule. I felt so relieved to have him check out other items I was concerned with. The electrician that came a year ago did not get items inspected and had lied to me. Several items are not up to code.
