Our landlord called Green Tech Plumbing and Heating for an issue with our heating system. Dave provided excellent service. He arrived very quickly after he was called, fixed the issue very quickly and gave me a run through of the issue and his fixes. He was very friendly and polite and I would highly recommend this service to others.

We had a leak in our washer pipe and Dave came to investigate it. He noticed that the piping was setup incorrectly and recommended a backflow preventer. When that did not resolve the issue he snaked the pipe to see if there was a clog. He hit something hard and ended up cutting into the pipe to discover a screwdriver in the pipe. He was able to quickly resolve the issue and we are very happy with his service!

Green Tech offered excellent and efficient services at a reasonable price. Eversource did a meter inspection in my basement, found two gas leaks near my furnace, and shut off my gas on a Tuesday afternoon. Put in a single call to Green Tech, said they could have a certified plumber out my way the next morning. Just before 9 am on Wednesday, we had an agreeable quote in hand, the two pipes and a valve replaced, leaks gone, and Eversource turned the gas back on by 10:15 am. Dave did great work while offering good customer service in a friendly manner while being upfront about pricing. I am actively recommending Green Tech to others in Somerville as Ive worked with a number of local plumbers in the past 7 years and this was a far better experience than the average.

The second emergency was when I tried “flushable” kitty litter. My toilet got plugged. So, several years later, when I found out that I had a major water leak, Green Tech Plumbing was the only plumber I called.Hector is excellent. I found myself with a dishwasher that refused to drain, and a previous plumber that over the course of two weeks and three phone calls couldn’t even return a phone call. Searching for local plumbers yielded Green Tech. Having read their google reviews and reviewed their website I decided to reach out. I not only got a quick return call but also they were able to come out that same day. While the dishwasher pump is in need of replacement I’m happy to say it was a great experience. Fast work, polite and tidy people, over all just a pleasant experience. Cost was in line with my budget and services provided. Will be a repeat customer from now on.

We had a couple issues with our toilet/tank and after struggling to find a provider who would service our unit (in Charlestown due to parking concerns) Green Tech was a breath of fresh air. The technician who arrived to swap out my water heater pilot setup was professional, courteous, and willing to ensure he exhausted all options before resolving my issue. I appreciated that he helped explain the issue to me (and without making me feel belittled), and the owner called to follow up later to ensure my issue was still resolved.This service was more expensive than I had anticipated. I would recommend asking pricing guesstimation before proceeding with the home visit, but that being said, I would absolutely continue to use this company given their professionalism and quick response to address my issue.

Weve had to have these guys out a few times in the last month, first for a leaky pipe, then for a burst pipe, then to assess a faucet that wasnt running right since the burst pipe. Dave came out each time, he was very easy to work with, and seemed to be working to get us the best price possible. He came to us right away when the pipe burst even though he had a bunch of people ahead of us, since he remembered that we had a newborn. Very nice to have that personal touch! And he didnt charge us for checking out the faucet. All good experiences so far even though its always frustrating when you need to call a plumber.

My heat had stopped working the weekend of Bostons first snow of the season, and it turns out that my unit needed a new motherboard. Green Tech is great. When doing some drywall repair, we discovered that the builder for my building had lodged a screw into a 3 PVC pipe in the wall. This bad boy carries sewage from the units above me downstairs to the sewer. Not ideal, but luckily it was fully sealed. I still wanted the screw removed, obviously.I asked for a quote and within a few minutes someone messaged me back on Yelp, called me, and quoted a rough estimate (to be validated on site); within an hour I already had someone on-site to assess the job. Once they arrived they patched the pipe within minutes.Im not an expert at pricing for plumbing jobs but it seemed fair given some estimates I got from their competitors. They also provided me with a certificate of insurance and a detailed invoice in a timely manner. Book Green Tech without hesitation!

He arranged to come again once we realized this and very helpfully video chatted us in since we could not be there in person. He helped to try to figure it out, removing the wifi dongle that we thought was the issue, only to realize even without that its slightly too big getting in the way of the telescopic downdraft.He complied with all of our requests including to finally disconnect the gas line until we can buy a new cooktop and re-install that one and hook up the gas then or to cut the granite to make this one fit if possible..He has gone the extra mile by trying to connect us to a granite cutter to try to fit the gas cooktop and he even gave us an exceptional discount for this second visit due the issue not having been resolved the first time.Throughout he has been very courteous, respectful and nice, and I would recommend you hiring his services!
