My husband and I have asked Sorin to perform a few electrical items for us. We originally found him through a neighborhood recommendation. He is, without a doubt, the most professional and excellent service provider Ive ever had in a home or condo.Our first job was to install recessed lighting in our upstairs bedrooms. In looking at the project, Sorin noticed our smoke detectors were not legal. He recommended fixing them, but did not pressure us to do so. We ended up adding them to our list of projects and he walked us through how he would adjust each one to make sure it was legal and would be safe. He also discussed all light placements with us, not just rushing to get the job done. He made sure lights would be placed to not interfere with the ceiling fans and so that all spots in the room would be lit. While his electrician skills were superb, I appreciated the extra time communicating with us how he proposed to solve the issues. Never did I feel like he was requesting to upcharge us as he always explained multiple options and scenarios.Our second project was assistance running an extra line for a fan in the master bathroom. Sorin walked us through options, allowing us to discuss and figure out the best options. His work was tidy and cleaned, we hardly knew he had been there when he left, even though drywall needed to be cut for the project.I recommend Sorin to everyone I know who mentions needing an electrician. Hes exceptional!!

Sorin is professional, courteous, and honest. I couldn’t recommend a better electrician. We were having issues with our outside outlets and the builders of our home were of no help. Sorin came out once in October and gave us advice without charging us for his visit since there was nothing he could do at the time. He said if we still needed him he’d come out and when we did he did just that.He worked with us to schedule a time and he arrived ahead of schedule. Sorin is always so pleasant to speak with and I could tell he was doing everything he could to fix our problem. He was transparent about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. When everything was finished he cleaned up any messes and thanked us for our business.Again, I can’t recommend him enough and hope we’ll be able to use his services again in the future.

I am delighted to provide a review for SH Electrical Services. Master electrician Sorin was an excellent professional who was prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable in his work. He replaced my meter box, circuit breaker panel, bathroom fan/switches, and fixed complicated and possibly dangerous wiring in the bathrooms that was installed by a previous owner. Sorin was thorough in his work, explaining each step of the process to me and answering any questions I had. We hired SH Electrical Service based off of a recommendation from a neighborhood list serve. We emailed and they got back to us quickly. I had a great conversation with Sorin who was efficient about scheduling. On the day of our service, Sorin arrived a few minutes early, walked me through his thoughts about the project and he did a great install. He is professional, punctual, knowledgeable and meticulous about his work. Our job was wiring a ceiling fan in our living room. There was no existing wiring in the ceiling so this included running wiring in the attic, connecting to an existing switch and most importantly… the installation of the fan which we’ve wanted for quite some time. We HIGHLY recommend SH Electrical Service and we are thrilled that we used them!

In a panic, I looked up electrical companies and SH Electrical was recommended in a post on our local Facebook Group. Once here He was able to seal up the source to prevent further damage right away and he recommended some fixes for the future. I definitely recommend SH Electrical Services. I usually have a hard time finding those that match my expectations, but Sorin the electrician, meet those expectations. He responds quickly, hes on time, and most importantly communicates with me and follow ups which I find to be important for my needs. At around the time of service, I was looking for an electrician to get the job done for replacing an old electrical fuse box for a new electrical panel. Comparing prices, additional services, but also most importantly the ability to answer my questions. Out of other electricians I chose him because hes honest, and charged what was fair based on the amount of work he did, and communicated with me along the way. I do have to say that the project was a 2 day project including Maryland county inspection day and an additional day for Pepco to finish the connection line to the meter box outside. He follows up with Pepco to make sure they finish the final connection outside. Other electricians have a team while Sorin does everything by himself, which personally I dont have an issue with. Some other electricians charge more without an inspection and may do the job quicker due to having more workers, but personally I rather have one person take their time and do the job right then have it inspected to be sure it was done correctly. If you dont have it inspected by a 3rd party then youre not guaranteed to know if the job was done correctly, you only can go off by what the technician says. Sometimes you cant trust people blindly, however Sorin has earned my trust. Also we had awesome conversations while he was working on the project, he a genuine and down to earth person. I made a good choice hiring him for the job and when the time comes, plan to have him help me with other projects I need done.

I hired SH Electrical Service for three different jobs. The primary job was Replacing the entire electrical panel since water was leaking into it and rusting the inside bottom of the panel. This also required coordination with Pepco which the owner Sorin coordinated entirely. SH also replaced three external lights on the outside front of our house and repaired external outlets as well. I’ll work with completed quickly and thoroughly I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We had a wiring failure in our 70-year old house over Thanksgiving weekend. I called four electricians the following Monday, and Sorin was the only one to respond promptly (one highly regarded service only communicated by email, which was frustrating given the complexity of our problem). Sorin began work a few days later and tackled a very difficult problem that required lots of troubleshooting. We should eventually re-wire the entire house, but Sorin realized this would be too costly and time consuming so he did a partial re-wiring to fix the immediate problem in a safe and cost-effective manner...While on site, Sorin also found some water penetration in our electrical panel and gave us different options for remedying the problem (breaker replacement vs complete replacement of the 35-year old panel).Throughout these interactions, Ive found Sorin to be honest, prompt, and a good communicator. He doesnt oversell you on services, but rather, proposes options for meeting short and long term needs in accordance with household budget constraints. Safety is paramount with electrical work, and I trust his master electricians judgement when deciding what to fix, and how and when to fix it.

Cannot recommend Sorin highly enough. Super communicative. Came out for a site visit and showed up exactly on time. Gave a very detailed quote. Went back and forth with me several times as my design preferences changed and updated his quote. Came for a second site visit. Once we agreed on the scope of the project he was prompt at scheduling and completed the work exactly as promised. Work performed includes: EV charger install, running heavy wire from main breaker to garage for new sub panel install, installing new sub-panel, installing induction range wiring, plus several other small outlets/lights.Would absolutely recommend and will use again if I ever need electrical work in the future. Dont trust your house to anyone else.

I got in touch with Sorin to add a subpanel to a detached garage and glad I did. He was great to work with and walked through several options when he came out to first look at the job. Several questionable “upgrades” and fixes from previous work from previous owners and water damage on the main panel in the basement was found.(Situation was confirmed by other electrician I had come to quote as well.) Sorin sourced materials in a manner that both reduced the cost and provides for expansion in the garage, should the need arise. His work is incredibly tidy, neat, and organized and he is personable, knowledgeable, and more than happy to discuss the work in detail. I would recommend him to anyone.
