My AC was not cooling and Centerpoint told me I needed an electrician for my problem. Called Pete and sent him a photo of the wires that were burnt out that were causing the problem. He fit me into his schedule that day and quickly replaced the wires and box so that we could get the AC cooling again. Super nice guy who charged a fair price. I would recommend Twin Cities Electric if you’re ever in need of an electrician!

Twin Cities Electric did a fantastic job finishing the electrical work for our basement remodel. The pics uploaded is before we’ve completely finished the basement and I will update with new pics after it’s completed.We purchased the home with unsafe electrical work done by the previous owner (I.e.: installing a sub panel in the bathroom, electrical wiring not fastened to studs and draped along the drywall, and the list goes on). I flipped all the breakers off so no one would get hurt by any loose wires.Pete came by and performed a thorough inspection prior to giving me an estimate. We hired Pete because he was the most knowledgeable electrician and we support local small businesses.Pete provided clear, courteous information throughout the entire project. His team’s work is of top notch quality. The electrical inspector for the rough-in told me, “I saw [Twin Cities Electrical] as the electrical contractor on the permit and I’ve seen their work before and it’s high quality.” Hearing that from the electrical inspector gave us reassurance me made a sound investment in hiring Twin Cities Electric.A quick rundown of the electrical work we had done: ran cable from main panel to sub panel in the mechanical room, lighting for basement living room, bedroom, wet bar/kitchenette, and bathroom. Receptacles in each room and additional outlets for a refrigerator, deep freezer and microwave. Lastly, hard-wired our electric fireplace.

Our experience with Pete at Twin Cities Electric was excellent, and we could not recommend him highly enough!We needed a full panel upgrade, and also added lighting and a ceiling fan in our living room. Pete was thorough during his initial overview of our home and listened carefully to what we were looking for. He even made suggestions that not only improved our lighting in the end, but also were more cost effective than what we originally asked for.While Pete was in our home, he was always on time, careful, and professional. He and his apprentice found the issue, explained everything, made the fix and cleaned up, and were just really really nice. We had an excellent experience. I have used a couple other larger electric companies in the past and Twin Cities Electric was far superior in pricing and diagnostics. I had a new electric issue and an existing issue. A different company quoted more than quadruple on the existing issue and their solution was to completely re-wire requiring opening up ceilings and walls. Twin Cities Electric spent the time to find the actual issue and fixed it without any walls being opened up. Going forward, I’ll only be using this company for all my electrical projects.

I experienced significant arcing on one of my outlets which caused charring and also emitted a strong burnt plastic odor. Although I caught it right away and immediately turned the space heater off, I was really concerned about the extent of the damage and afraid that it could still somehow cause a fire in the walls. Twin Cities Electric understood my concerns and sent a team out right away. They were obviously quite knowledgeable, and conducted a thorough and professional inspection of the property. I found Twin Cities Electric, LLC (Pete) after contacting several other electricians. I’m so glad i did. Other companies would not quote pricing over the phone and required an exorbitant flat rate just to show up. Pete responded quickly by phone, was upfront and asked for pictures and a description of work (add outlet on other side of a bathroom wall, upgrade outlet for a portable A/C unit). He was able to suggest fixes and provide a quote over the phone. His quote and the final charge were the same, even though he ended up going to the store to get another part to make an improvement. Instead of just adding a GFCI outlet, he was able to trace and upgrade the electrical at the box to enable the wiring for the entire circuit to be compliant. I’m very pleased with Pete’s professionalism, timing, communication, work, and clean up. Glad to have an electrician like Pete for all future needs. I highly recommend him and have shared his contact info with all my neighbors. Thank you Pete!

Tree limbs took down our power lines, pulling the mast off our house. Pete came out to assess the job, which required pulling a city permit to replace the riser, service conductors, weather head and hub, and connecting the conduit to the house. He gave a fair bid for the work, and was able to schedule around our work-at-home needs, as all electricity needed to be shut down. On the day of the work, he arrived promptly on time, prepared with everything, completed the work in the estimated time frame, and left the work site completely clean of any debris/waste. He also arranged a time for the City Inspector to come out to approve the finished work. Pete is highly professional, very personable, and an excellent communicator. I cannot say enough about Pete from Twin Cities Electric, LLC.He is on time, conscientious, and trustworthy.We purchased a new induction range. Unfortunately, the electrical configuration in our kitchen was not right for it. After having it professionally installed and hooked up with a retrofitted setup for a 4 prong plug, it would not work. This is when we were referred to Pete. He came out the same day and removed the old 3 wire system; including the metal conduit piping that ran all the way to the fuse box in the basement, and the flexible metal conduit sticking out of the floor in the kitchen. He then installed a new 50 amp 4 wire wall outlet, 6 gauge wiring and a new 50 amp breaker.If you want to have peace of mind that your electrical work is done right, this is the electrician for you.

Pete replaced our exterior light fixtures, which also involved running additional wire and adding a new electrical box to our house in order to accommodate an additional fixture. He drilled into the brick exterior of our home to add the new box, removed sheetrock from the interior of our garage to run the wire between fixtures and then replaced the sheetrock he removed so the wire extension was not visible. I have never had a contractor who needed to remove sheetrock also replace it when the job was complete. He was on time and completed the work in a reasonable time and felt that he charged a fair price for the work he performed. He even caulked around where the new fixtures attach to the house. I appreciate his attention to detail and would have no hesitation in having him back if I need electrical work in the future.

The experience with Pete at Twin Cities Electric, LCC was second to none. We got a few quotes from electricians to come in and handle the installation of an outlet in our newly purchased home to meet city code, but Pete came with a glowing recommendation along with a great personality. He was able to give us a fairly accurate quote sight unseen, then stopped by in the morning to do a site visit to nail down more accurately what the price would be. From there, he was actually able to come back later in the same day to complete the work.The most impressive part is he was able to match up the outlet with where it made sense, which was in the tiled area, versus where it was easy, in a dry wall only spot. This makes it a much more usable outlet in addition to fitting in the more retro vibe of the bathroom (50s Richfield house!). Picture of the work included, as its top notch. We will be having him back to do quite a few things around the house as we continue to get it modernized to where we want it!

I had Pete and Leighton out to trouble shoot a bathroom light fixture issue. I was also looking to do some upgrades to my electrical system and needed a new circuit installed as well and wanted an estimate. I was pleasantly surprised. The cost for the work done for bathroom light issue was completely reasonable. It ended up being a bad light switch. It cost almost half what another electrical company charged for replacing a different bad switch only a few months earlier.I discussed at length with Pete my concerns for my current electrical issues and upgrades. He put together estimates and recommendations that broke down each option that helped me prioritize my next steps. There was no hard sale or pressure. I had them upgrade the electrical panel, installation a new circuit and replace all devices (switched and sockets) in my home. They also checked all light fixtures wiring. They found many of my devices weren’t even grounded and were very shoddily installed. That is terrifying.They really made sure to give me the VIP treatment.I have had several other electricians in over the past year or so and Pete is the only electrician to show me his license, insurance and reviews.I have more work to be done and Pete (Twin Cities Electric) is the only company I will call. Both me and my Mom have been using this company since 2019. Have this guys number on speed dial. Latest project I had done even tho not cheap was needed to be done. My home that me and wife bought in October of 2019 had some piss poor DIY wiring that I found out when one of my electrical outlets shorted out. Tried to fix it myself, but it was way over my head called Pete and explained my situation. He came over the next day and spent 9 hours rewiring most of my house cost me $4300 and some change because the previous homeowner Mickey Moused the wiring, and at least I know my home wont burn down now. Pete labeled my breaker box as well because the previous homeowner never did, he put in a new light fixture in my kitchen, switched one breaker out to conform to code, rewired about 13 light switches some that were 3 pole, and cleaned up afterwards. One bit of advice to new homeowners have a professional check the house wiring system before closing or be prepared for costly repairs like I had. Would recommend Pete to any disabled veteran needing a reputable company for electrical work. Pete is very professional, and after 9 hours of working, troubleshooting, and even tired and sweaty will not stop until the job is done. He did have some interesting words for the previous homeowner tho. Lol.

Scheduling through Google Maps is a little odd but once I figured it out, everything went smoothly.The service I had done was a ceiling electrical box needed to be upgraded from an old fiberglass to a ceiling fan rated box. I also had the fan installed to ensure everything worked correctly.Pete did an excellent job. Very professional and personable. Excellent quality work. I think the prices were fair for the quality of workmanship, professionalism, and level of service being received. His communication from start to finish was great. Something not usually found in service industry, but greatly desired.I also appreciated his suggestions on other improvements, related to the project we were doing, such as upgraded light switches for the fixture/fan.I would definitely hire Pete again for my future electrical needs.

I had recently bought a townhome and during my move-in process, at least one of the fire alarms started to beep. After my dad tried to fix it, he called Twin Cities Electric. They came the next morning first thing and swapped out all the fire alarms in my unit. The electrian also took down my hard to reach staircase light fixture so that we could clean it and change the light bulbs. Overall, Twin Cities Electric was great service, prompt and courteous. I would highly recommend!
