John from Castle Electrical was nothing short of phenomenal to work with! We needed a Tesla charger and Exterior plug installed, but over a video chat to assess the situation (which was way more convenient than setting up a time for someone to come out and quote in person-extra points for that!) he realized we needed to add a sub panel to support it. A week later he was out to do the job and it was done very neat and professionally. Everything was clean when they left and our charger works perfectly! He even helped reroute a wire for our softener at no extra charge, which was super helpful and kind. Oh and they are competitive on pricing too. I know who to contact the next time I need electrical work done. Thanks!

I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend using this company. I purchased a new electrical vehicle and was needing a home charger installed at my house. The dealership had a special program where I had to use their referred electricians. After the first electrician didn’t respond after two weeks, the dealership transferred my Install to Castle electric and John apologized for the delays I had with the other company, even though he had nothing to do with it and made our Install a priority. He worked quickly to get the quote back and also was out within the next 48 hours to get the charger installed. I work in construction and it’s not often you find trades that are so eager to give a good customer experience and I am really thankful for the way we were treated and would definitely work with this company again.

We had settled on an arrival time of 12-2pm, but John’s tech was running behind on another job so John came out himself right away, and still met the agreed upon time. Robert and Braydin arrived this morning prepared for the installation of a relatively sophisticated Tesla wall charger. I threw them a little curve by asking for an additional utility outlet on its own circuit be installed for my compressor. They didn’t tell me why it couldn’t be done at the same time as the original job they came to do. Instead they went above and beyond to do the proper steps to make it happen. And both projects got done quickly and professionally. As well as instructing my wife and I on the best practices to charge our Tesla. I would highly recommend these guys for your electrical needs and plan to use them again in the future for any of my projects. (BTW they warranty their work for two years).

They showed up early, they were very professional, explained to me how they would tackle a complex 220 EV charger install, panel was on the second floor and the garage wasn’t directly under my residence. They were able to keep the wiring hidden in the wall like I requested, and the installation is very clean. The whole installation from start to finish was completed in just 1 hour 30 minutes. They also hardwired the EVSE and put it on a 50 amp breaker for some future-proofed charging capacity.

I will definitely call Castle Electrical & Lighting for my future projects and am recommending them to family, friends, and everyone reading this.I bought my first EV, a Tesla Model Y, and wanted a higher speed home charging solution than the standard 120v slow speed level 1. I used that for the first few months to get by. I purchased the Tesla Wall Connector (L2 charger) for installation in my garage on the same wall as the main electrical panel, but on the interior. In addition, I discovered that my main electrical panel was over 44 years old and already over consolidated. I decided to replace it to ensure safety and for many more years of reliable service with options for more add-ons in the future.I solicited five bids from local and national companies on Teslas approved installers list (Castle Electrical is one of them) and provided each with details and photos. John was very responsive, friendly, and detailed the process of how he would arrange inspections with the city and what to expect in terms of process and lead times from our power provider, APS. Based on my interactions with John, his thoroughness and knowledge, and competitive quote, I decided to go with Castle Electrical.The installation was going to be challenging due to restrictions on where the original main electrical panel was located that limited the ability to put a wider new panel in as a replacement. After digging out the main power line underground and finding the type of line didnt match with what APS had documented, we determined that we had to have a different solution than moving the line. This resulted in a delay of about a month due to having to reschedule with APS (APS tends to have multi-week lead times). Castle rescheduled the install as soon as APS could fit us into their schedule.To solve the problem of a potentially costly and involved line move, John came up with a new exterior panel that would carry the bulk of the load paired with an interior subpanel that would carry an 80A load. This arrangement addressed all of our needs, including the addition of the 60A dedicated circuit for the Tesla charger and a new 20A dedicated circuit in the garage in case I want to use the Level 1 charger to concurrently charge another EV in the future.The install for everything took most of a day, 7am to about 2:30pm. I was concerned about my multiple large fish tanks, refrigerator, and deep freezer being without power for that duration, but everything was fine after, including all the fish.We are happily charging away, and everything is working great! He was on time and did a clean installation of my Tesla wall charger. I cannot say enough about the clean and neat job that was performed. Robert further took me through the steps to download the information on my phone and connect the correct amperage. Don’t look any further this is your local electrical company. What a great experience! I found this company on Yelp and sometimes you can’t guarantee you’ll get good service, but they went above and beyond! John was so extremely professional and courteous. He came the same day I called for an in home estimate to install an outlet on my back patio and scheduled me for the service in the same week. Not only did he tell me ahead of time what window he would be coming out, he also followed up the day of and sent me a text to let me know he’d be over in 30 minutes.You don’t see that a lot with customer service, unfortunately...companies actually following through on what they said they would do. The outlet is perfect and I will definitely be using them again for electrical needs.

I was in a real bind with my tankless hot water heater not functioning for a couple of days. I had called my plumber, they flushed the system and still my hot water heater kept shutting off at the circuit breaker. We hired Castle Electrical & Lighting to move and upgrade our panel from 150A to 200A. Our home was built in the late 60s and we had an overhead power line that was too close to the pool. SRP said it was fine, but Scottsdale said it wasnt. I interviewed 7 different electricians, asking each one the same questions. Castle Electric stood out for their professional knowledge, experience, and value. The quotes ranged from very high to very low and Castle Electric came in at the middle. In the end, we wanted it done right and you get what you pay for.Once the job was scheduled, John applied for the city permit, worked with the city inspectors, and scheduled everything with SRP. I realize that this may be standard practice, but everything was very easy. John and his team worked efficiently and were EXTREMELY detail oriented.Aside from our full panel move and upgrade, we have since hired Castle to correct an issue in our sub panel as well as install dedicated circuits in my workshop. Im sure we will have other projects in the future.
