    In this post storm craziness when so many out of town companies are trying to promote themselves as honest and trustworthy. SRQ Building Services is true Sarasota local business. They hire local laborers. They understand the local building permit process. They can get the job done quickly but never cut any corners.Highly recommended!!

    Im a property manager in Sarasota and one of my tenants called and said that guys were replacing the roof as it turns out they went to the wrong house. Ray the owner was called and OMG did he step up to the plate. He took full reasonability and put a brand new roof not only was it new but it was much better then the one that was on there. This is what integrity, honesty and just an amazing humane is all about. He could have asked that I pay for material but thats not who Ray is he didnt even bring that up. He just said that he was sorry it was an honest mistake and he would make it right and boy did he. He restored my faith in the human race!!! If the world had more people like Ray and his crew the world would be a much better place. God has truly bless me for having met him and God will bless him for doing the right thing!!!     Nine months after Hurricane Ian, and we finally have a roof!Much of our delay was finding a roofing company we wanted to do business with. SRQ Building Serices, Inc was the right choice from the sales pitch through installation. We were most impressed by the quality and performace of the installers and the hands-on approach of owner, Raymond Zuniga. Salesperson Earle was knowledgeable and thoughful.SRQ Building Services pricing is fair, and we had no surprises when time to settle up. The timing of the install during the first days of hurricane season 2023 was just right. What was left of our old roof could not have handled the downpours just days after completion.Our new aluminum roof is beautiful. Again, I cannot stress how organized, professional, and curteous the installation team and the supervisor are. It was a wonderful and timely experience, and my roof is proof of the companys committment to quality work.

    Finding a water spot on your ceiling is never a good thing! You know there’s a leak somewhere, although not necessarily where the water spot is. We called Roofing by Ball Contracting and they were fast in responding! Not only did they get back to us right away, they also came out to the house that same day and identified the cause. Within a few days, the roof leak was fixed. We were very impressed by the speed and also the good work they did. They were very good to work with.

    My neighbors Mike and Diane recommended SRQ Building Services after they had their new roof installed, and Im so glad they did. On April 10, 2023 I contacted them about repairing a section of the roof that was impacted by hurricane Ian, and replacing the rest of the metal roof. I was quoted a very reasonable price to do the job. After pulling permits they started the work on April 25, by the 26th the roof had been water tight and by the 28th the metal roof had been installed and it looked great. Not being able to live in the residence because of the damage, All the Interaction with SRQ representative Ray was over Text and Email. Ray is awesome, he text me pictures throughout the build so I would have them for insurance purpose. SRQ builders professionalism is unmatched and Ray was a blessing to work with. I will be recommending them to anyone thats looking for a professional builder.

    Tore off three layers of asphalt shingles and two layers of underlayment on a six bedroom home for a small fee beyond quote. Quote was still substantially under 6 other roofers quotes. Came with large crew and finished as scheduled. Quality work. Cleaned up entire area around home and had very little shrub damage. Very happy with the company. I will use again and recommend them to my neighbors if given the opportunity.

    This company has been amazing, Bill was great! They under promised and over delivered with deadline. From the day I signed I had a new roof in about 10 days after hurricane Ian. They kept us in the loop while the roof was being done. They were honest about our decking that was in great shape and they sent photos. Lois, who is the crew leader did an amazing job. His crew really made sure to care for our property and clean up and not one nail found on my property afterwards. I’ve already told my friends, neighbors and coworkers who to call for a new roof. So happy with our choice for a new roof. Plus, the warranty they offer is amazing and from start to finish I know they have the integrity to back up their work.

    SRQ did an outstanding job with my roof replacement. Each team that came from tear-off to tile placement to installation was hard working and left my property in good order every day.     With so many roofing companies out there competing for business it seemed overwhelming trying to figure out who to use to repair our roof after the hurricane. Without a doubt I think we chose the best in the area. Earle stopped by first and gave us estimates on how much it would be and what needed to be done. He was awesome! He made everything easy to understand and was actually pretty fast about getting everything in and getting us a quote. After calling around they were pretty cheap compared to some other companies around the area. We decided to go with them and they did not disappoint. Great crew, fast and hardworking.     My friend from Sarasota referred SRQ to me and they did my roof in April 2022. They did it quickly and it held up with no problems during Hurricane Ian. When my son had roof damage from Ian here in Port Charlotte, they did his house as well, replacing his house roof and gazebo roof, skylight, and installing a solar attic vent. They repaired and replaced his soffit, fascia and gutters. Again, they did a great job. Ray and his staff were courteous and professional, the pricing was very reasonable, and I highly recommend them to anyone!

    We bought our new house knowing it needed a new tile roof. Previous owner received a very competitive bid from SRQ Building Services before we closed. After closing on the house, I contacted Ray, the owner of SRQ, and he agreed to honor the bid.A couple of other companies had much higher bids and said it would take months to get the tiles. Ray checked his source of tiles, and they had just enough to do our house. He started in about a week. His crew was efficient, pleasant and had the old roof off and covered with the membrane in one day. About a week later the tiles arrived and were just the color we wanted. The next day they started installing the tiles and were finished in less than a week. The crew came back at Rays initiative to make sure everything was correct and satisfactory. Neighbors have commented what a great looking roof we have.We recommend SRQ Building Services, and just may use them again for some of their other services.

    I found SRQ Building Services through an on-line Google search. I chose them and 2 other companies to provide us with a roof replacement estimate, based on their excellent reviews.When Ray, the owner arrived, he did not disappoint. Besides being so nice, he did a thorough roof evaluation and showed us pictures of troubled areas. He explained all the areas to be covered under the contract and had tile samples for us to choose both color and manufacturer. The price was fair and we compared his contract to the others. Once we decided on his company, his crew was available to start the following week.The crew was hard working, efficient and organized and replaced the roof, vents and 4 skylights in the time promised. It was a pleasure to do business with Ray. I will gladly recommend him to friends and we will use his company for any future business we may need.

    Noticed water damage on my ceilings and called SRQ and two other roofing companies, SRQ sent a crew out the next day. Juan and his crew did a thorough inspection including a water test, accessing the tight attic space and a visual inspection on the roof. They spent almost 2 hours on this and they determined it was not a roof issue but an a/c air duct problem. They took pictures and a video and showed me the problem. There was no charge! One of the other roofers quoted me $3,000.00. to replace the vents on the roof and never went into the attic! The other company really didnt seem interested at all in the job and only looked from the ground and told me he was 6 to 8 weeks out for repairs. Also, SRQs owner Ray called me personally to tell me what the issue was. I almost wish it had been a roof issue because I had such confidence in SRQ and Juan and his crew to do an excellent job.     I needed to have my roof replaced I received three quotes and decided to use SRQ Builders. He was reasonably priced. When he emailed me the proposal he thanked me for the opportunity and hoped to earn my business. That meant a lot to me so I chose Raymond’s company.     SRQ Roofing did an excellent job on reroofing our trailer. Their crew of seven showed up at 12;30 and had the job done, cleaned up, and were done by 4:30 that day.Their price was competitive, they used 160 MPH shingles (Sarasota County code requires 130 MPH rating), they replaced several small pieces of plywood, installed new drip edge, and used waterproof peel and stick self sealing underlayment (better than felt paper), and installed new roof penetration vents. They used a wide magnet to pick up all nails that escaped the tarps on the ground.The job was completed within 60 days of contract signing.Glad we chose them.

    These guys are awesome. They sent a reasonable quote with details and specifications that included the new code underlay under the shingles. No upselling. They held the price for longer than normal because of hurricane IAN Insurance delays. An accident happened and the outdoor hose tap was broken, and it was repaired the same day. The 1100 square foot roof was completely finished within 2 days. Free Inspection and letter for wind insurance included. Highly reccomend them!

    I know this is going to sound like it was written by SRQ. Because it is so positive but its not. I called 5 roofers and interviewed them not just for price but how I thought they would do the job. Im a mechanical engineer plus I built and rehabbed house so I know a little bit about roofs. I chose SRQ. Rays price was very good and I found him to be very knowledgeable. He wasnt a sales man. He owned the company. Im just so happy that I hired Ray to do the reroof. Im a very picky guy so I want it done right. He went above my expectations. He did things that I didnt even think about. My roof was very large about 73 sq...Again he did a fantastic job......

    First i have to say how incredibly fair priced and diligent with their work this company is! I hired them with an expectation of handyman work only but discovered they also correct roofing issues as well as replacing roofs. The first job they did for me was a few different small jobs within the house and they came out and got everything done in one day! I had issues with a leaking roof and they came out the same day i called to do an estimate which was a sign of relief since their price was so reasonable. The third time i needed their assistance was to replace an entire roof. This company started on a Thursday and finished Friday evening.. it doesnt get better than that! The owner is great with updates and providing pictures of the progress which i appreciated so much! This company did not disappoint!

    Bill and Earle were great to work with. Last summer prior to hurricane Ian I reached out to many roofers for quotes. After hurricane Ian again I reached out to many roofers for quotes and as everyone is aware their quotes were 10k higher than they were pre-Ian. Call it what you will (gouging, taking advantage, etc.). Then I contacted SRQ and spoke with Earle. They were very accommodating and their quote was in line with the quotes that I had received before the hurricane. Time frame was 60 days or less to begin work, however they were able to start work in less than two weeks and have the work completed in less than a week. They exceeded my expectations where everyone else fell short.

    They performed interior drain pipe and water line replacement as well as other electrical and plumbing installation work as part of a second story remodeling project. I live out of state and was not on-site for any of thework. I did come back for the creation of the punch list. I received pictures of the progress regularly and had phone calls to discuss various options. The coordination and communication with another contractor on the job was excellent. The punch list items were dealt with immediately when I was in town and the team that I met during that process was friendly, professional and very responsive.     We had SRQ inspect the roof after two other roofers attempted to repair a leak and failed. From the moment we spoke with the contractor we got the feeling he knew what he was doing, he was very professional, knowledgeable. And prompt to inspect the roof when he came down from the roof, he explained in clear words what was wrong and was able to give us a price to make the necessary repair on the spot. By the way price was very reasonable compared to the other two he told us that the repair crew would be here in following day. They showed up just like he said. The crew was professional and when they finished they cleaned up really nice. We had a couple of good rains since the repair and we were so happy to see no more water coming down from through the ceiling. We will definitely use again if needed and highly recommend him!

    Very happy with the quality of the metal roof that was installed on my mothers house in Sarasota. I managed the job for my mom up here in Maryland by speaking to the owner and the project manager both very responsive. Extensive woodwork from water and insect damage was taking care of and very detail oriented. I like the fact that it is a medium sized company and you communicate directly with the owner. If the owner is busy you may have to wait for a call back but that is understandable and they were very responsive overall. I am super impressed with the workmanship, my mother is ecstatic and the price was very fair. Interviewing several companies and figuring out the structures of those companies. I was able to discern that some of the companies were chains owned out of state. This is definitely a local family-owned company, if that matters to you. Also some of the reps from other companies that were sent out were sales people not roofers. Not the case with these guys I called and the owner came over same day. Where can you find that type of service anymore. I also like that they had a project manager on site full time. Having someone to talk to directly to get updates really was appreciated by my mother. I would highly recommend this company. A little have hint is if they dont get on the roof they are probably a salesperson not a roofer, roofers would want to inspect first hand. 5 Stars! Also great job cleaning up afterwards using a giant magnet to make sure all metal shavings were accounted for. Also they gave us pictures and paperwork for the insurance company.

    I just purchased a 1700 sq ft home and was told that the roof needed to be replaced ASAP after my inspection. The home was build in 1935, and there were a few signs the roof was leaking, but the seller did a great job of covering it up with fresh paint. My realtor is a personal friend, and together we called five roofing companies. One looked up the address and said, not interested. The other four got scheduled to come to provide me a free estimate. Each company sent over very friendly salespeople, and I was researching who I should choose to replace my roof. The next day, I told a contractor friend about my new 1935 house and the roofing issue, and he interrupted me and said, you need to call Ray at SRQ Builders. I have worked with him on jobs for eight years, and he is your man for the roof. I called, and Ray was taking measurements and photos the next day. (This was not a sales guy but the owner-operator of SRQ Builders) I asked how long before I can get a quote, and he said he would give it to me a few minutes before he left. I wondered how big is your company, and he let me know he had a team of 26. He told me he would be on site every day to meet with the team and answer any questions I might have.I loved this guy, but now Im thinking, How Much is this SRQ Builder quote going to be??? His estimate came in the lowest—no brainer—great price and highly recommended by a contractor friend.Having lived in Sarasota since the 80s I have lowered my expectations on the construction trade, so I was ready for anything. Ray keep me in the look on the permitting process and told me the day they would start.His team was on-site at 8 AM every morning. The quality of the work was refreshing to see. Not only were they polite, but it was like watching a well-orchestrated ballet. Trucks were coming and going, and it was like one hand just knew what the other hand needed. Remember, this is a 1935 house, and the roof project had a few curb balls. The way they cleaned the job site impressed me, but when the white TPO got rolled out on the flat roof, I was blown away... Each SRQ Builder teammate who stepped on the new white TPO took their work boots and walked on the new TPO with socks. . I guess to keep it white??? .     SRQ Building Services came out to repair our roof on two occasions. The first time we called them the day after a tropical storm which caused us to have to place buckets on the floor inside our house. Although they were crazy busy, they managed to come out THE SAME DAY and fixed the leak the following morning! While they were there, they also fixed a leak that another (well-known) company in town had failed to fix properly previously. We called SRQ Building today about a small leak that we mistakenly assumed was related to issue they fixed the first time. Again, they came out THE SAME DAY and fixed it this afternoon while they were here! It turned out to be a separate problem several feet away from the original repair, yet they repaired it without charging us! I haven’t seen this kind of construction service in a decade or two. They are incredibly responsive and refreshingly communicative, carefully document their work, and genuinely care about their customers. I will recommend them to everyone I know going forward.

    Whenever it comes time to hire someone, you hope for a easy and seamless process. I always start off by looking at reviews before hiring anyone. The one thing that stood out to me was how many positive review SRQ building had. It seems most people will take time to write a bad review on a business but hardly ever take the time to write positive review. This was the first sign I had the right company for the job.I left a request online for a quote and was quickly contact by Bill. He came out within a few days to provide a free quote and his best price. I was in a time crunch to get the new roof installed for my insurance and he had a crew here 3 days later.The crew that showed up was very respectful and courteous to my house and property. The crew leader introduced himself to me and then started a group text message so his crew, the office and myself could all be on the same page for anything going on. I loved getting pictures texted showing their progress.The new roof, gutters and gutter guards turned out great. A free wind mitigation report was provided which helped save me a lot of money on my new homeowners policy too! With the discounts I was able to get on my new policy, this roof will be paid off in about 3 years! Never thought the savings I got on my homeowners insurance would basically pay for my new roof!I highly recommend SRQ Building Services to anyone wanting a stress free experience.

    They installed a New Galvinized aluminum roof on my house! It is an architectural thing of beauty. The price was very reasonable. And is easier to maintain. The life of this material last much longer then a shingle roof. It is now the nicest house in my neighborhood...my business was as a mechanical contractor for 50 years. This style and material is the wave of the future...

    I can not say enough good things about this contractor! No wait time to get my leaking roof replaced. The pricing was well below other companies! One company - that handled the roof, tree trimming (a huge oak tree) ceiling replacement (where the roof leaked). Raymond handled it all in a courteous, respectful, timely matter! The crew that did the work were some of the hardest, fastest workers I have ever seen! All the work done is top notch, beyond my expectations- especially how much of my oak tree they trimmed for the price. If you are looking for quality work and a bang for your buck- use SRQ Building Services! I will definitely use them again

    Excellent. Called SRQ Building Svc and Raymond came out within 2 days and provided a very competitive bid for my 20 year-old roof that had a slight leak. I was in a hurry to get it replaced and SRQ completed the job within the next two days. Quality work and amazing cleanup. I checked the area around the house and no nails or excess materials on the lawn. There was a minor roofing tar smear on the facia in one area and upon a call to Raymond he had a man over within hours and removed it completely. Highly satisfied and highly recommended. Tom R.
