    I called Curoso Plumbing at 7am on a Wednesday for a plumbing emergency that happened in the middle of the night. We had never used Curoso before, but our normal plumber couldnt do it. I called someone else, but they couldnt send someone until next week. We were without water until it could be fixed. They recommended Curoso.When I called Curoso, Sterling told me he could send Ramon to us between 10am and noon. A short time later, Sterling called back to say that Ramons 8am appointment had canceled. He could be there between 8am and 9am. Ramon arrived ~8:30am. He seemed very knowledgeable, got the job done professionally, and cleaned up very well.The long story: Maybe about 12 years ago, the city of Santa Rosa installed a pressure-reducing valve for all the homes in our neighborhood. In 2017, the PVC pipe they installed blew apart and water was gushing out into the street. This same thing had now happened again (Dec 2024). Around 2am, the PVC pipe pulled apart, but we couldnt figure out the problem until the next morning (~6:00 a.m.) when I found a geyser of water gushing out into the street from near the water meter. [After I shut off the water, I called the city. They sent Rick out within ~30 minutes, but he explained that it was our responsibility because the break was between the meter and our home.]When Ramon got there, he diagnosed the problem very quickly. As Ramon explained, there were at least three problems with the original installation (by whoever the city contracted to install these values for all the homes on our street).First, they glued the PVC pipe together, which does not conform to plumbing code (in a high-pressure situation such as this, Ramon said the glued joint is too weak; consequently, it had come apart...twice in the last 12 years!).Second, Ramon said it is not a good idea to put a pressure-reducing valve like this in the ground. Normally it is put just below the gate valve that shuts off the water to the house. It is hard to access when it is in the ground. Also, when the contractor installed it, they added four 90° elbows in the PVC. All those turns create more potential problems (they are weak links).Third, the biggest problem is that when they installed the pressure-reducing value, they should have also installed a thermal expansion tank (which is normally placed above the hot water heater, on the cold water line). That would allow for any pressure that builds up in the water lines in our house to be released. With the current set-up, there is nowhere for the pressure to go. Consequently, it blew out the glued PVC connection (the weakest link).After he re-glued the PVC joint, he tested the pressure-reducing valve, and concluded that it had failed (the pressure was wildly fluctuating, which is probably why it blew out the PVC connection). Since it had to be replaced, he advised us that it would be better to move it to the more logical position (just above the new ball valve, which he installed to replace the very old gate valve that was not fully functional). [I had to call the city to get permission before he could do that.]After he installed the new pressure-reducing valve, he straightened out the tangled mess from the original installation, removing some of those extra PVC elbows and replacing the PVC with copper pipe and a new shut-off valve. Finally, he installed a thermal expansion tank above our water heater.They charge $275/hour. It cost us $2,000 (including parts and labor), and it took him nearly all day to fix the mess. But, I feel reassured that it was been done properly and will not happen again in another 5-7 years. Ramon says there is a 1 year guarantee on the work he did.

    Our water heater stopped working one day out of nowhere. I called about 4 places and said it has to be a couple days.     I was concerned about my radiant water heater and that there might be a small leak and sent a text at about 6:30PM on 11-21-2024. Sterling from Curoso Plumbing, Inc. came over in half an hour! This was after I got off work, wow and he showed up that night. He looked over everything carefully and concluded that it was my neighbor with the small leak. He was so nice and patient and I was relieved after his visit. I am so happy to be able to have a great plumber and the company itself that I can depend on. So many times, that does not happen.     Our 5-year old water heater suddenly started leaking water from the pressure relief valve at the top of the tank. I called Jim Curoso, and they sent Ramon out. Ramon took about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem as being a failed pressure regulator at the water main, and our water pressure was way too high (over 100 psi - it should be below 80 psi).It took him a couple of hours to replace the ball valve at the water main, the pressure regulator, and install an expansion tank on the water tank itself.I was very impressed with all the communication between the office, Ramon, and me, and they did a great job!

    We had an outdoor leak and Shane the Drain from Curoso Plumbing came out the same day, in a weekend, and triaged the issue immediately and then fixed it completely the next day when stores opened up.     First of all, I would love to say that Shane is 100% professional and down on earth guy. As soon as he arrived at our place, he gave me his business card and went to assess the ongoing issue with my drain. After a short conversation he started snaking our 100 year old pipe that had been clogged for over a month (no joke), and to my surprise, he unclogged it like a champ. He was very personable and friendly throughout. This company has twice delivered professional and timely service to us.

    Great service and communication through the whole process of replacing two shower valves.     Super prompt service. We had a non-urgent issue and they came out on a Saturday to diagnose it. We went over the options and chose to replace the old water heater Grandma with a new tankless. Mario came out that Monday and finished the job in one day. The whole company is great but Mario especially is terrific. Excellent installation work, explained and discussed everything in detail, giving me lots of options. Cant say enough about the professionalism, promptness, and downright friendly cheerfulness of Curoso Plumbing and their crew, especially Mario!     I help manage the facilities for an outdoor education camp and retreat center. One Friday morning my team and I noticed the water heater in one of our buildings was severely leaking. We had clients coming to stay that weekend in this building, and the same building would be utilized the entirety of the next week. The plumber who we had used in the past retired, and it really seemed we were up the creek without a paddle. After some searching around, the reviews for Curosos Plumbing stuck out to us, and the service they ultimately provided exceeded our expectations. Within 20 minutes of calling to request an appointment, I got a call from one of their plumbers (Sterling Edwards) who arrived at our property within the same day. Sterling was professional and direct; an incredible customer experience to say the least. They were able to do the install the very next day, which was simply astounding. (I was planning on that building not having hot-water for at least 3 days) Additionally, the quality of the work was just unmatched.So folks, if you find yourself up the creek without a paddle and are scouring reviews of local plumbers.     Curoso Plumbing is very responsive! I made an online request, received a return call within hours, and had a plumber visit the next morning to provide a quote for a major job! We had to replace the original water and sewer lines from 1961 which involved cutting through the driveway! We received an estimate for the job the same day of the plumbers visit and a two-man team completed the job in one day! The estimate was $1500 less than a competing estimate. Special thanks to Clint who provided the estimate and did the work. We were very impressed by Clints knowledge, professionalism., and for being pleasant to work with.     I was going to install a bathroom facet in our older home. Long story short, the previous owner had really jacked the install of the old facet and I was about to get in over my head if I tried to fix the mess. One call to Curoso and Sterling called my right back. He then dispatched Remone to our house. Remone was very professional understood I didnt want to spend a fortune to replace a facet. Remone went on a short parts run, returned and a couple of hours later we had a new facet. I thought he might have to charge extra when he broke out the hacksaw. However, Remone stuck to the original guestimate and made short work of some old piping the previous owner had installed. These guys are now my go to Plumbers in Santa Rosa!

    We had an old water heater in the middle of a condo with a slab floor and the existing pressure relief line broke under the slab somewhere. James installed a new water heater with a sensor in the pan and an alarm and automatic water shutoff. Without tearing up the floor, this passed code. The finished work looks great!

    My two back to back bathrooms failed to drain on Saturday, with the toilet in one not completing the flush and caused a dirty backup into my shower pan in bedroom bathroom.I called Coroso Plumbing and Shane came out late Saturday, with the intention of snaking the problem out. After arriving at my house, and searching all over the front of the property, and, looking at the clean out I have on the kitchen side of the house, AND, going under my house to investigate, Shane told me that I didnt have a clean out for my bathroom pipes, that it would not be effective or prudent to attempt to use the small clean out in the other side of the house. He said that he could come back on Monday morning and dig a hole to put a clean out pipe in, which would resolve that problem in the future. At the same time, he would be able to fix my current problem, clean it out, camera check my pipes from toilet to street and fix whatever needed fixing. On Monday, and, this was Saturday. And, Im old. Luckily, Im old enough to remember how to use a bucket, so, I was content to wait for Monday, since I had more faith in Shane coming back than I had in the other company that had already been out to my house a total of 4 times, the last two times in Dec. or Jan. without coming back to fix the problem. That other company had told me they would be digging a trench from my house to the street to find the problem and that I could offset the costs by digging the hole myself. So . . .I told Shane that I could help dig the hole as I had a small shovel. He told me hed rather not have me wear myself out with my little shovel and said hed be back Monday with his big shovel and his jackhammer.On Monday morning, I got a 30 minute warning call from Shane to say that he was on his way. By the time I got dresses and outside, he was already there and ready to work. The next time I looked outside, Shane had gone to quickly help another customer and Matt was finishing the digging in my yard. The hole that had been dug was only large enough to work in. Matt showed me the pipe and said that Shane would go over it with me before then went on to the next step.I was very surprised about the size of the hole. First off, Shane dig the hole in the EXACT spot where the break in the pipe was, and, it was a relatively small hole. When I asked Matt about when they were going to dig the rest of the hole clear to the street, like the other company said they would do, Matt said that there was no reason to dig up any more of the yard unless there was a break in the pipe, which, they would know after the pipe was fixed and Shane ran the camera through it.Before putting the new piece in, Shane showed me the broken pipe and explained everything and answered all our questions. Once the clean out was in, Shane showed me how to use it. Then, he and Matt filled the hole back in and stomped it level. Shane ran Matt back to the shop and said hed be back in 30 minutes to run the camera through it.When Shane came back, he had me watch the camera while it went up to my toilets and then went down to the street. That was the first time Id ever seen our sewer system. Fortunately, there were no broken places in my pipes. There were 3 spots where roots were poking into the pipes from the side of the pipe. Shane said that, if it became necessary, they could run a little spinning saw down the pipe to snip off the roots. Otherwise, I could potentially have zero problems in the future, based upon the current camara scope exam.I am very pleased with the work that this company did for me. They sent out people who knew what they were doing. These gentlemen were professional, polite, courteous, patient, and they did not waste a single minute they were there. They were quick, on time, efficient, and didnt dig an inch more than necessary. They cleaned up and left no mess behind.I would use this company in the future and would recommend their work.     We needed a new water tank the same day. After speaking with several plumbers, Sterling with Curoso Plumbing was the most reasonable by far..He asked a few questions and didnt need to come to our home to tell us how much it would cost. He even moved his schedule around to get it done the same day! The plumber came on time and did the insallation in about an hour, even repairing a leak.     Im writing this review for the second time because I didnt see it show up the first time. Im that determined to write a FANTASTIC review for these plumbers.First of all, they have come to my house over the years to install a sink, repair plumbing below the sink and outside. All lasted the test of time.My recent experience, however, is what makes me so determined to write an outstanding review. I was in the middle of replacing a tub drain (my first plumbinproject ever)! I wasnt sure what to do with a washer. I left a message with Curoso Plumbings answering service and within the hour Sterling returned the call. He walked me through the entire process with some major reassurance and tips. Wholah! I completed the project!!This is the kind of service you dream of but rarely get these days. I would give Sterling and Curoso ten stars if I could.I highly recommend them.

    This is a fabulous plumbing service!! They got out to work on the leak problem in my rental house within 4 hours. The receptionist took down all my information and listened very clearly telling me that someone would call me back soon. Before I could hang up, Sterling phoned. He quickly assigned the project to Mario who then did a great job of staying in touch by text message! He got there when he said he would and found out that the leak was not a problem because the husband had apparently fixed it so Mario didnt charge me!     We have deep gratitude for Clint and Curoso Plumbing. The water main between our house and the meter broke, and Curoso was there for us. They responded and started work right away. It was an involved project as the water main broke under our driveway. It required excavation as well as a lot of detective work. Even though this was a messy job, the work site was always clean and well maintained. Clint talked us through the process every step of the way. The work was performed with incredible care and attention to detail. We highly recommend working with Curoso.

    My water heater got disconnected by PG&E because it was missing a piece and considered hazardous.This happened at 6:45pm on a Monday night. Within 30 minutes of calling Curoso, I had an appt for the next day. It was later in the day and I’d have no hot water until they came.Zeke from Curoso called around noon on the day of the appt and said he can come earlier. I was very happy! He got me a new water heater and handled install all within a few hours. He was friendly and knowledgeable.I’d absolutely call them again!

    We called Curoso plumbing after making multiple calls to other plumbers on the afternoon of 12/23/2022 (the day before Christmas Eve). My moms kitchen sink wasnt draining and we were going to be doing a lot of cooking the next couple of days. We could not get a single plumber to come out until we talked to Curoso - they got back to us within the hour and said someone would be coming in an hour! Such short notice and such a busy time! Sterling showed up and was professional, polite, funny and very genuine. He was upfront about the cost before doing any work. He fixed the pipe clog within an hour and was super sweet to my mom during the whole process - he deserves a bonus! 100% recommend especially if you have something somewhat urgent.

    With 3 little girls 3 and under and my wife being 7 months pregnant, it would be an understatement to say that I was a little stress out when my water heater went out one night. I called up Curoso plumbing and Jim put my stress at ease. He came out the very next day, removed my old tank water heater and installed a new tankless for my family and I. Jim and his crew were very professional. They came in, got the job done fast and were very clean. All while having my 3 yr old helping. Jim was very respectful and great with my daughter.     Friends staying at my beach house in Bodega Bay texted me to say there was no hot water. They sent photos of the water heater and its labels. Curoso Plumbing responded to my call and sent someone out to the house within a couple of hours. They replaced the old, worn out unit with a new, more efficient one. We experienced truly excellent service from these people. I highly recommend them.

    We had a sewer drain clog and things come out from the clean out on Friday. I called Benjamin plumbing first and they quickly sent a technician within 3 hrs. However, the guy from Benjamin only tried to use camera to see whats going on and then refused to use sneak cleaner to unclog it. This Benjamin technician insisted that he will use hydrojet, which will be only available the following Monday and costs >$1200. This means we have to stop using our house for the whole weekend. So I decided to call other companies and then a technician from Curoso Plumbing came and unclogged the drain with sneak in 15min. We really appreciate his professional skill and saved us from the terrible drain clog. It sounds simple in terms of unclogging the drain, but this case taught me that it is quite technically challenging and it takes a good technician to get this job done properly. I will call Curoso plumbing again next time for any work in my house for sure.

    Our washing machine output was overflowing. We tried everything to sort it before calling Curoso Plumbing. I wish we would have called earlier. I called this morning and got a call back within 4 minutes. Dan came out an hour earlier then expected which was such an amazing surprise. It wasnt easy, the clean out nut was stuck, he had to really work for it. Then he had to snake snake snake... but he didnt give up. And now my water flows like magic! No overflow! Even on super size load and high speed! He was clean and courteous and even replaced my dryer hose, put things back nicer than when he walked into our post flood mess. I am so grateful for Curoso Plumbing and their amazing work and amazing response! I feel like I have a personal Plumber!! We have a few other plumbing needs around the house and I will for sure be calling them back. I would give them 10 stars given the option!! Super recommend!!!

    Sunday evening we heard a loud explosion in our laundry room. Flames were coming from the access door of our gas water heater. I turned the gas valve off. At 6am the next morning, I Googled reviews of local plumbers. Curoso Plumbing had many positive reviews so I gave them a call. They answered right away and Jim sent Mario and Andrew to our house within 2 hours.After evaluating the problem, Mario presented me with 3 options. Repair, Replace or Upgrade to a Tankless Water Heater. Since our water hearer was 7 years old, we went with Replace. We chose a 50 gal. LoNOX RUUD which was locally available. By noon the water heater was installed and working.Mario was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. Both Mario and Andrew were very professional. Curoso Plumbing will be our go-to plumbers for any future jobs.

    Great work by these guys. We had a garbage disposal on its last legs, a water filter with issues, and several bathroom sinks and toilets. We threw the kitchen sink at them (so to speak) and they did great work, installed the new filter and disposal, left things clean, supplied the materials we didnt foresee theyd need, and finished all the work quickly. We will call them again for sure when we need more great plumbing work.

    I had a gas leak in my gas Iine under the house. Zeke came right out, same evening, and he found the gas leak within the first 30 minutes. He even took a short little video of where you can see the leak. I really liked that.He returned this morning and fixed the leak. After dealing with this for months, it was so exciting to have it fixed and done correctly. No more gas smell!!!

    This is the second time that Curoso Plumbing has fixed a plumbing problem for me. The other day my neighbor tells me that theres a leak near the water meter. He points out that my meter is ticking away, so its probably in my water line. I call Curoso because I was happy with the service the first time they came out. I leave a message and 10 minutes later the owner calls me back. He says hell have some guys at my house that afternoon. That afternoon, Jeremiah and Isaac show up. I show them the problem and they start digging. After a while I check and theyre struggling with the roots of the oak tree that the builder decided to plan right next to the water meter box. The roots are twined about themselves making what seems like an almost solid sheet of roots a foot thick. Jeremiah and Isaac are trying to cut through the roots with a reciprocating saw. But, they ran down their batteries before they could make significant progress. I get my axe and start swinging at the roots. We took turns swinging the axe, but we didnt make much progress. My neighbor lets us use his reciprocating saw, but we burned through all the blades we had before we cleared the path to the cracked pipe. Before giving up for the night, Isaac decided that the next day hed come back with a chain saw.The next morning, bright and early, theyre back. The first indication I had that they were here was the chainsaw being started up. After working at it with the chain saw and a wrecking bar for a while, theyd cleared up a view of the break in the supply pipe. They fairly quickly took out the old pipe and replaced it with a length of new PVC.They then advised me that it was just a matter of the time before some other root of the tree cracked the pipe again. Worse, it was pretty likely to happen somewhere under the sidewalk in front of my home. If that happened, it would be extremely expensive. They advised me on how to proceed to plan for a fix and not cost me an arm and a leg.The first time that Curoso helped me started the night before Thanksgiving when the water heater went out. I called and got a callback fairly quickly. I was told that they could get a guy out to replace it on Friday morning. They said hed be there between 8 and 10am. At 8:15am, I theres a knock at the front door. It was Dan from Curoso. He takes a look at the heater and notes that its badly corroded and needs to be replaced. So, he takes out the old heater and replaces it. Has a little trouble getting it lit, but its burning happily away when he leaves.Later that afternoon, the flame goes out. There is only cold water to be had. I try getting the pilot light lit, but it is not turning on. I call and speak with Jim. He says hell send Dan out to get it lit again. Dan comes out, gets it lit. But then while hes still there it goes out again. Dan says it seems to be a faulty heater and hes going to have to ask Jim about it. Jim calls and says hes currently out of town, but that hell be back on Monday and hell be at my house to diagnose the problem. He says hell be there between 8 and 10.Monday comes around and at 7:45 theres a knocking at the front door. Its Jim saying he hopes hes not too early. He takes a look at the heater and notices that its wet around the pilot light window. He says the heater is defective and hell replace it. A couple hours later and hes back with Dan and a new water heater. A surprisingly few minutes later and he and Dan have the new heater installed and burning away.At every stage, Jim, Isaac, Jeremiah, and Dan were completely professional and courteous. They never made promises that they didnt keep, or even improve upon. They left the work area cleaner than they found it. The water and gas connections that they installed seem to my inexperienced eye to be very well crafted. I have zero complaints. Two thumbs up for Curoso Plumbing.

    This is one of the best companies Ive ever had the honor of using. Ive had a business card from Curoso plumbing on my refrigerator for many years. I have no idea when the last time I used them as it had to have been serveral years ago but since they were still on my fridge I call them. I had water coming out of the the release valve that sits on top of the sink by the faucet. Whenever I used the dishwasher it would gush all the water out so I called Curorso Plumbing to get it fixed. They came out the day after I called and let me know that the garbage disposal I had was too small for the dishwasher so they would come out and replace it and all the lines. (it was at least 8 years old so that was fine). Anyway they did that and it was still leaking. So they then replaced the release valve, still leaking. To make a long story short it ended up being the lines behind the dishwasher. This whole thing took several hours and a couple of trips to Ace. After they finally got it fixed they took $50 off our bill for the inconvenience of them not fixing it as soon as they liked. We were fine with that. After they left one of the owners came back over and returned our check. He didnt want to take any money at all. I was at work but my husband tried to refuse the reimbursement. After all they spent hours and bought a larger garbage disposal plus and the various lines they needed. The gentleman refused to take payment and left. I remember the younger plumber was Gabriel but since I was gone couldnt remember the one that refused to take payment. My husband and I will be making a nice donation to a charity in their name. We will definitely be calling them for any and all plumbing problems.
