We absolutely love the end product. Elon and the crew helped our backyard become functional and also maximized the space by building a retaining wall. They were also able to provide financing options which was impossible with other companies due to this being a new build. Elon’s responsiveness and the quality of the work definitely put them head and shoulders above the competition.

Our backyard is a beautiful paradise now, the team installed our turf, our outdoor kitchen and our patio as well as our beautiful pavers! These guys were great! Omri and Carlos managed my projects. They are both very friendly, experienced and a pleasure to work with...We had several major backyard projects after moving into our new home. This included unclogging and fixing our drainage, complete outdoor kitchen design and build with TV mounting, and turf installation. They managed to get my projects started quickly and did great work with frequent communication so I always knew where we were in the project. Highly recommend Better Place Remodeling!

Better Place revitalized our back yard, turning it into an oasis that visitors have praised and enjoyed. The artificial turf installed in our front and back yard is stunning. The outdoor kitchen is gorgeous and fun. Their communication and follow-up to our questions was impeccable all of the way until the project was completed, and then we didnt hear from them again. They built a cinder block wall enclosure for a jacuzzi we shipped to the home. However, the design did not allow any access to the jacuzzi components. There is a wood deck around the top of the jacuzzi, but no door. I regret not discovering this until after the project was finished and I had signed the paperwork. I turned on the jacuzzi and realized that when it had been installed, something within the components was not working correctly. I sent text messages and e-mails to Better Place, but received no responses. I hired a contractor to build a door so that we (and future owners of our home) can reach the components. But now we have discovered that one of the wooden support beams blocks the door to the components, so it would be impossible to repair or make adjustments to the jacuzzi until I hire another contractor to rework the deck and move the support beam. The project finished in July 2023, but the only part we havent been able to enjoy is the jacuzzi.***Update: Better Place contacted me within a day of seeing this review and the owner himself came out to my home to check on the jacuzzi enclosure. Already yesterday the wooden support beam blocking access to the components was removed. Very impressed with the customer service! And we will be able to get our jacuzzi working.

We were lucky enough to work with Leo from Better Place, and from the very beginning of our process through completion, he was wonderful. Leo always picked up the phone, listened to what we were looking for in our yard remodel and was able to translate those wishes into the beautiful backyard. He was always available and promptly addressed any of our questions or concerns. I think I was most impressed with the fact that are finished product looks exactly like the he proposed renderings that he provided us based on our wish list. We can’t say enough good things about Leo and Better Place Remodeling!

The team at Better Place was fantastic. We had 2 concrete patios installed on either side of the house. One a recreational area with bench and room for a fire pit, the other for trash and landscape tools.Clay met with us to go over the design and give us a quote. He was very professional and asked good questions to understand our idea. Never tried to push unwanted items or upsell us. We were very impressed as the quote was several thousand less than other contractors with all the extra items we wanted, vs others just base price for concrete.During the construction Clay and Raul were very communicative, keeping us updated on timelines and next steps. The weather was very uncooperative, but they were flexible and worked around it. Jose was great, going over the minute details of the project, making sure it was exactly what we wanted.They completed the project very quickly, even with the bad weather and we are very happy with the result. We highly recommend Better Place!

Best decision I have made! That is to hire them. My backyard looks so good now. This is my home we are talking about and I want it to be done well. Budgetwise, they were very reasonable. It’s not easy to pick a contractor to remodel your backyard. There are plenty to choose from in SD. However, Better Place stuck out because of the volume of positive reviews. I called for a free estimate and was impressed when Thomas the Project Manager came out to look at our backyard project. Thomas is very professional, detailed and accommodating. I highly recommend this company (ask for Thomas).

We are beyond happy with the end result. This was a complete transformation. We were so unhappy with the way our backyard looked before the renovation. There was no room for our kids to play, no room for people to sit and enjoy the backyard for parties. Remodeled our backyard with our project manager Leo. We renovated in the Spring/Summer 2022 at the height of supply-chain shortages and US economic inflation, so inflated pricing reflected that and we understood. WE VALUE COMMUNICATION OVER PRICE. Weve heard disasters from friends who went with remodeling companies that were much more affordable, but had issues with getting supplies, scheduling problems, or bad communication.Leo had good communication and was on site 2-3x a week while construction workers came Mon-Sat, approx 8am-4pm. We had a deadline, so Leo made sure he had his workers come 6 days/week to complete the project on time. Any issues, questions, or flaws during the ongoing project, Leo made sure to answer and correct pretty quickly. He definitely cares about upholding a good reputation and genuinely cares for your renovation as if it was his own.We are satisfied of the final product. We have lots more room for our growing family of two kids and two dogs to play and roam around.
