Chris was delightful to work with. He really listened to how we use our deck and accommodated our wishes. He and his crew were terrific! Ive never seen a more diligent team of workers. They got the job done quickly, cleaned up every single day and tolerated our very anxious dog who doesnt like men with tools. We couldnt have asked for a better experience or a more beautiful deck. Working with Chris VanVleet was AMAZING!!! We had a 25 or 30 year old rotting, 3 tier deck that needed to be demolished and replaced. Chris spent almost 2 hours with us, going over the new deck plan I had drawn up, and suggested some changes that would allow us to have a larger deck, and still stay within our budget. Our new deck is almost 10 feet above ground. The stairs go down to a 4x4 landing, and then make a 90 degree turn, and end up directly in front of our gate. The deck is beautiful, and rock solid. Chris and Darian were polite and professional throughout the entire project. He made sure that all of our needs were met, and gladly accomodated us on some last minute changes. Chris is a man of great integrity, and a hard worker, and we will be hiring him for future remodeling projects. -

VanVleet is the BEST! Chris managed our stamped concrete patio, deck, and gutter project perfectly from design to final inspection. The finished product he gave us enhanced our lifestyle and outdoor enjoyment more than we imagined. Chris helped us create the perfect design, select the best products and colors, gave us options we didnt know we had, created a concept sketch, and handled all the permits and inspections. Chris team moved our outdoor faucet to give us a bigger deck and when he heard there was a leak he was right back out and fixed it. Chris creatively worked with us to run our gutters through a culvert underneath our stamped patio to a drain tube to avoid running an exposed gutter spout over the top of our patio. Just look at all that wood they used on our subframe to our deck! If they wanted to cut corners they would have surely done it where it couldnt be seen, but thats where they doubled down! And check out how they plumbed the garage downspout precisely to the rain barrel my wife wanted near our garden. Once I knew who Chris was I actually ran into him at our local grocery store. So Chris isnt the guy whos going to skip town as soon as he gets your money, hes more like your nextdoor neighbor. Sure there may be cheaper out there, but then thats all your project will ever be. These guys did an amazing job on our teardown/rebuild of our old deck earlier this year. Any issue that came up, Chris took care of it. They worked hard, were very professional, and the entire experience was great from start to finish. We went from an old 8x10 deck to 10x22 and he got the job done just under our budget. We used VanVleet for removal of some ice dams that had built up on the cold side of our house even though we roof rake each time it snows. They were able to come out the very next day. The two guys were polite and professional. They had me sign off on the time they started work so there was no question when it came time to pay which I appreciated. They also gave me advice on how to prevent dams in the future. I talked to Chris to pay the bill; he was very friendly and professional as well. I would recommend them for ice dam removals -- hopefully we never need to use them again for ice dams! :) -

Chris just finished our 2nd bathroom remodel this year and we couldnt be happier! We were very impressed with Chris attention to detail and his determination to make everything absolutely perfect. He really listened to what we wanted to do and made suggestions for improvements to our design. We even threw him a few curves with adding things along the way and using outside the norm fixtures like a shower panel in our 2nd bathroom and a waterfall tub spout in our main bath. He made it all come together beautifully and our vision of a modern, forward thinking bath remodel became a reality. We absolutely cant say enough good things about VanVleet Construction. Thanks to Chris and Darien for bringing our vision to life. -

Our roof was leaking due to an ice dam. After spending most of the night babysitting the situation I sent out several requests for help. Chis VanVleent dba as Ice Dams Removed was quick to get back to me and was at my house by 7:30AM the next morning....only hours after I had submitted an online request. I was very very pleased with our experience in an otherwise tense moment. His rate was reasonable even though he could have gouged us. He worked very quickly and efficiently and I believe this was because he knew what he was doing and was honest. I will be keeping his card if i have a need for a contractor down the road. -

Chris and his crew removed our older in floor tub, rebuilt the floor, re-plumbed for the new drain and shower. We planned out and installed the Onyx shower product, and it has been wonderful, we were also able to get matching countertop in the bathroom. They were great to work with start to finish! Will definitely look to work with any future products and recommend to family, friends and co-workers. -

Even in that tough winter, they still got to my house, AND got it done quickly, AND safely, AND were friendly. I dont think anyone could beat this service. I hope I never need to have ice dams removed again but if i do i would definitely call VanVleet first. -

The first thing that comes to mind when talking about VanVleet Construction is integrity. Chris pointed out a situation that occurred when they were placing the footings to my awesome new deck. Honestly, I would not have noticed had he not said anything. Chris worked with me and made sure I was happy with the correction. Integrity is such a hard thing to find but I value it. The second thing that comes to mind is craftsmanship. The deck Chris built was 12 by 20 and is about 10-12 feet high with a single staircase down to our patio. It is not a cookie cutter deck and they take their time to do it right. They do not fib when they say their decks are built like a tank. With how high the deck is their is minimal movement and feels solid as Chris makes sure the support structure is solid. I could go on about all the compliments and other items I like about the deck but VanVleets customer service is excellent and I will be a life long customer. If your looking for someone who is trust worthy and is going to do the job right call VanVleet Construction. -
