I received a text a couple of days before they showed up. Then an hour before letting me know they were on their way. I also received a picture of who was coming to work on the projects. That was extremely helpful! They show up in a van that is marked with Down To The Wire. I have had contractors show up in an unmarked van before and they also were not wearing a company shirt.Cotton was friendly and it was amazing how fast he got these projects finished. I really appreciate it and I highly recommend the company.

This company is excellent. They have the best prices and they were the only company out of 5 that I called that would help me because I live in a mobile home. Lyle Hyatt was the serviceman and electrician that came to work on my place. He was very knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate. I am very happy with the work Lyle and the company did for me. They eliminated a fire hazard and ran all new lines from my master bedroom and bathroom to a new and open breaker socket in my panel while terminating the old breaker and it’s dangerous line. We had some issues with certain parts of the house being out of power and I called around to many different electricians. One suggested that I try Down to the Wire and when I called they got me set up for next day emergency service. I received a call from Darin asking if I was around if he could come earlier. Darin showed up at the time he said he would and started assessing the problem right away. He was able to locate the problem quickly and walked me through everything he found. Using Down to the Wire was a great experience and I will be looking to them first for any of my electrical needs in the future.

Very honest and qualified at fair price. They upgraded my home service from 400amps to 800amps and installed a Ford Charge Station Pro level 2 electric vehicle charger (for an F-150 Lightning). Despite wide-spread problems reported about installation of this charger, with their installation, it has worked perfectly for many months now.

Pricing was very reasonable for the work performed. They sent a reminder about the service appointment. They sent a notification when the electrician was on their way. They arrived on time and were professional. (Monday Morning) They mentioned they would be most of the day on the work. I received notification when the work was completed. The last notification was after they had already left the site. Checked work later and found they missed a wire for an alarm circuit. Notified the office the next day and requested the invoice to pay the bill. (Tuesday) Did not receive the invoice or a return call about the missing wire. This wiring was on a Septic Pump System. After about 2 days (Wednesday Evening) my High Level Alarm went off on the pump panel. Found control switches were turned off during installation. The pump pit was full. Made another call to the office the next morning (Thursday) to ask about the invoice, the installation of the missing wire and that their electrician left the control switches off. They emailed the invoice and said they would let them know about the wire and the control switches. The next day (Friday) I had to call their office again about the wire. They finally told me it would be Monday morning first thing and they would correct the issue. (Monday)The electrician was on site first thing to install the wire. When I mentioned them leaving the control switches off, he stated that they leave them like that until the customer is there to check out the work. He mentioned that I should have been notified that it was left this way. I was disappointed in the lack of communication for these items.

We had an excellent experience with Down to the Wire. We would definitely hire them again or recommend them to others. The companys owner quoted us a price to completely re-wire an older home, getting rid of all the old knob and tube and bringing it up to code. His quote was based only on square footage, and was much lower than wed been expecting based on other knob and tube horror stories wed heard about. The final, actual charges came in very close to the original estimate, with no surprise charges. (There were some extras we decided to ask for along the way, but other than that the estimate was dead-on, despite the work taking a few days longer than originally expected.)The crew that worked on our house for about two weeks was wonderful. Brandon was there on-time every day, with Sam and Mason taking turns as the 2nd tech. They worked quickly and efficiently, but also carefully, going out of their way to minimize the damage they had to do to the plaster walls to get to the wiring, and cleaning up after themselves as they went.My wife and I both work from home and had limited options during this time to work from elsewhere. Brandon and the guys were amazingly customer-service oriented, and coordinated with us to minimize disruptions to our work. Brandon was great at keeping us posted, and letting us know in advance which parts of the house would be without power during specific timeframes, so that we could plan accordingly. And all three were just super polite and pleasant. Excellent traits to have when working in someone elses home for multiple days!

This is the first time I have used Down to the Wire. I called a couple of weeks ago to get on the schedule and they put me on for March 3rd. The initial call was great and the representative was very professional and made sure we were taken care of. On the morning of March 3rd the rep called me to see if they could show up early. I was working and it was actually raining hard the whole day and I mentioned to the rep that we may need to reschedule cause the outlet they need to look at was outside so she spent the morning seeing if a Monday appointment would be able to move to Friday and we were able to get rescheduled for Monday. So, on Monday while I was at work which was 20 minutes away I got a text from the tech saying he was on his way so I was able to leave work and the technician actually pulled up to our house right before me. I explained the situation to the tech and he said he would take a look and troubleshoot our outlet. It only took him about 10 minutes or so and he was very professional. Again this was my first experience with Down to the Wire and they were very professional, responsive, and on time. I would recommend them to a friend.
