Outstanding Service from Roto-Rooter Technician!I recently had a very stubborn clogged drain, actually multiple clogged drains. And it was the day before Thanksgiving. I first called a plumber who had a long snake (100 feet), but couldn’t solve the problem. He recommended I call Roto Rooter.From the first call, through the service, I was pleased with the Customer Service part of their business. Then when the Service Technician, Randall Spivey, came, I couldnt be more impressed with the service. From start to finish, the experience was professional, efficient, and top-notch.Our issue was a stubborn clog in our kitchen sink, and our mudroom. Somehow, they are connected. The technician, Randall, arrived on time, fully equipped, and ready to tackle the problem. It was not an easy fix, but he methodically went through the steps until he solved the issues. He took the time to explain the cause of the clog, walked me through his plan, and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise.What stood out the most was his attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the job was done right. He also cleaned up beautifully after the job, leaving no mess behind. He worked quickly but meticulously, and within no time, our sink was draining perfectly again, leaving a fully functional drain and a very happy customer!I truly appreciated the technicians professionalism, expertise, and friendly demeanor. I had some major plumbing work done on my newly bought house. All of the old and dangerous Quest piping had to be replaced. This was a big job and they had to go into the attic to drop new pipes down to the bathrooms and kitchen. Justin and Shane got this all done in one day (and into the night) and for less cost than other places quoted me. The drywall removal was kept to a minimum and This was a huge stress relief to get this done so quickly and under budget after moving into a new place.

It was amazing to have the work done on the same day. The technician was absolutely fantastic in his attitude and work performance. He was able to rectify a spigot problem that was totally the fault of my home builder many years ago: no turn off valve when a water flow problem occurred.My only concerns in retrospect was that I should have requested an itemized list instead of the flat fee I received for future reference and that the turn off valve be placed in a better easy access place, not behind a stove that would have to be moved to get to it.Yes, in spite of the above concerns, I would use Roto Rooter again and recommend the company to friends.Shirley.

My wife wanted a new kitchen faucet but I was not interested in installing it.I immediately thought of Jeff the plumber @ Roto Rooter. We previously used Jeff to install a garbage disposal and he did a fantastic job.I called Roto Rooter and asked if Jeff was available to come to our home in Charlottesville. They scheduled an appointment with Jeff.He arrived promptly on the day of the appointment and was very professional and friendly. He started to work right away and finished the installation without any problem. He checked several times to make sure that nothing was leaking and cleaned up after himself.Again, I was very impressed and thanked him for his professionalism and promptness.

Jeff, a plumber from Roto-Rooter in Ruckersville, did an excellent job servicing my septic system pump. My septic system alarm was on and the pump was not working. Jeff took time to explain his troubleshooting steps and was very polite. He determined that my pump was fine and a broken wire running from my house to the pump was the problem. I was very pleased with his service.Last year, I had my septic tank pumped by Roto-Rooter, and the plumber did an excellent job at that time, too.I highly recommend Ruckersville Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Services to others.

Our service experience was extraordinary. After having a water heater blow out over the weekend, Jeff, one of the Roto-Rooter service men, came out on a Saturday before the Super Bowl and arranged for a Monday installation! Jeff and his colleague Robert were here early Monday and had us with hot water by noon! We had used Roto-Rooter in the past for backed-up systems here in Charlottesville, but we hadnt realized before our emergency call that the company services plumbing problems more generally. We received prompt, professional service at a very reasonable price. These plumbers cant be beat.

However, once he arrives, he is friendly, smart, and very knowledgeable. I recommend them.

Great service! I called a local repair company for our kitchen sink backup, they couldnt come out until the following week. Called Roto-Rooter in Ruckersville, and could have gotten same day service, but chose next day. Arrived within time specified and even called ahead. Robert Hawey gave us an estimate, comparable price, we accepted and he started working right away. Very pleasant friendly guy, explained the blockage in the stack pipe. Cleaned up the work areas. Treated with enzymes and explained how to do follow up treatments. We knew Roto-Rooter would have the equipment to reach the blockage, which was over 40 from the sink. I will use Roto-Rooter in Ruckersville, VA for any further plumbing issues. Highly recommend their services!

We had been experiencing slow drains and then things started to back up. We called Carters Septic Tank Service to have our tank pumped. The driver was extremely helpful and very professional. This didnt resolve the problem so he recommended Roto Rooter. The employee who showed up (Robert) was extremely helpful and determined to fix the problem. He snaked the line multiple times until he cleared the blockage. All of this took place about 7:15pm and he didnt leave our house until after 10pm. He was a total professional and made sure to clean after himself and even answered my numerous questions with a smile. I would recommend Roto Rooter to anyone having drainage difficulty. We had an issue with our kitchen sink backed up to the wall, We tried cleaning the sink out through the pipes below the sink to no avail. We called rotorooter they are very nice on the phone and returned to us a call when the tech was on his way. Between the earth shakes and highly alkaline water we have had several leaking lines in our plumbing.Today Robert (#47) came and fixed the problem with a hot water line and leaking faucet. He was very efficient and friendly (even with my very curious 3 year old). I have had excellent experiences with Roto-Rooter, they are fair and professional. After seeing their reviews here, I called Roto-Rooter of Ruckersville. They sent very good, knowledgeable, and professional technicians. We had roots growing into our drain about 50 ft away from the house, and they quickly and easily found the problem, then fixed it. They also offered a very reasonable price on coming back to do a proper cleanout instead of just the temporary fix. Following the cleanout, the plumber also provided video of the camera to show what was done - I was very happy with their service.

My technicians could not have been more professional and accommodating. I experienced multiple problems due to the recent winter storm and an extended power outage, including needing a new water heater. I live in a remote area and the road was still impassable. They came, undaunted, across fields to get to me. Hail the Roto-Rooter truck! Its coming! It turned out the previous water heater and filter had both been improperly installed. They re-did it all, with a smile. They also helped me with my refrigerator drain pain which is not plumbing, but they could see I really needed their help. These guys are great! They went above and beyond the call of duty and are just good people, as well as extremely competent.

Excellent service! Out water heater stopped working just as I was getting ready to head out of town on a Sunday. I called the Charlottesville / Ruckersville office and spoke with Jeff, explaining the situation and that my family was going to be without hot water. He talked me through how to reset the water heater to make sure that we had a temporary fix until I got back in town. He even stayed on the phone with me to make sure that the heater was working.When I returned, I scheduled an appointment with Jeff to replace the water heater. His service and professionalism were outstanding! I couldnt be happier with how the process went. I dont often find people in the service industry who are this helpful and dedicated. He was happy to show me what he was doing each step of the way and gave me lots of good information to keep my dishwasher and garbage disposal running in the future. I had a stopped up sink for a week - my plumber/handyman with his 25-ft drill snake couldnt get it, and recommended I call a professional. Roto-rooter out of Ruckersville was professional and in communication with me during the scheduling process, and was able to come out the same day. Buddy was respectful, friendly, and efficient - he cleared the drain in 30 minutes, and cleaned everything up afterwards very nicely. I am glad to pay for this kind of service - and how valuable is having a sink that flows!? Sure beats the 1700s fill-the-bucket-up version. The 1-year guarantee on the clear drain seals the deal. I had two experiences with Roto Rooter/Ruckersville. Back in Nov. 2012 I had trouble with my bathtub draining & needed a plumber. Buddy came that time & took care of the immediate problem, but did tell me that if it kept happening I would most likely need some piping replaced. Sure enough it happened again, only worse...the tub wouldnt drain at all. I placed an online service request for the same day, and within 10 minutes someone from Roto Rooter called me & confirmed that Charlie was available between 3-5 pm. He arrived at 3:30 pm and immediately got to work replacing the pipes. He explained what he needed to do & gave me a quote. He went above and beyond getting those pipes replaced. They were about 50-year-old copper pipes and replacing them to fit into the rest of the existing pipes proved pretty difficult, but Charlie got it done! He also replaced the overflow piping. That had a bad leak and would send water cascading into the basement whenever the water hit it. He worked on them for about 3 1/2 hours and in the end I had my bathtub back draining like new & no more waterfalls in the basement. I have nothing but good things to say about both of my experiences with Roto Rooter & Buddy & Charlie. I would recommend Roto Rooter with no hesitation whatsoever. And they will be who I call from now on for any plumbing needs I have. Thank You!

My husband and I try to do everything ourselves, but there are times when no amount of googling is going to help you figure out and fix the problem, and this was one of those times. Being without water gets old VERY quickly (yes, local Food Lion, we are why your jugs of water were completely gone last week...), so we finally caved and decided to call a plumber. Being relatively new to the Charlottesville area, we didnt have any personal recommendations to go on, so we chose Roto-Rooter because they promised a free estimate, and we always like the word free.Boy, did we get lucky. Jeff came out and helped us. He was so pleasant and so knowledgeable that we were happy to write the check at the end of the ordeal (and not just because we had running water again!) -- it was clear that he was taking the time to do everything absolutely right (including correcting a bunch of small issues related to our first big issue which might have given us trouble down the road), and he spent a lot of time explaining things to us, so we were able to make informed decisions about this particular repair and also might be able to troubleshoot some little plumbing things in the future. Theres no question in our minds that the next time we need a plumber, were calling and asking for him.

The two guys did an excellent job in replacing my sewer lines. They started on Tuesday, October 23rd and completed the job...somewhat on Friday October 26th. It wasnt until after they left, that I found three sections of pvc pipe left accidently from the job still in my back yard. My driveway was to be pressure-washed to remove the residual dirt that was embedded. I called the office in Ruckersville on Monday, October 29th to speak to someone about the left over pipe that needed to be removed and the pressure washing of my driveway. Today I received a followup phone call from a very very nice secretary, who assured me that all would be adequately taken care of. I was feeling fairly disgusted but with this reassuring phone call I feel better with the handling of the situation. All in all the two guys did an excellent job and from watching them work, I feel very assured that Roto-Rooter sent their most competent guys....when they forgot the pipe it was dark outside and that couldve been a contributing factor in their oversight.

We needed a plumber to unclog a backed-up washing machine drainpipe, so I called Roto-Rooter in the Charlottesville area to schedule an appointment. Due to an earlier job that took our assigned plumber, Jeff Cutshall, longer than he had expected to complete, he was not able to arrive at our location until after the scheduled time, but because he and his office had kept us abreast of the situation, that was not a problem for us. Once he arrived around 9:00 p.m. he went right to work. In the course of our investigating the piping in the crawl space under our house he pointed out to me an unrelated leak that we had not been aware of and damage that the leak was starting to cause. He made recommendations for us to buy large fans to circulate air in the crawl space to dry out the moisture and then, once things dried out, to treat some mold that had started to appear. We would not have known about this leak had he not drawn our attention to it. Beyond that, he also made helpful recommendations for re-securing some A/C ductwork that had fallen loose under the house (we hadnt known about that either). After examining the configuration of the clogged drainpipe, we then went back into the house where Jeff helped us to locate and stop the leak that we had found (the water supply hose to our refrigerator had been slowly but steadily dripping for an unknown amount of time). All of this he did cheerfully and professionally even though it was beyond what we had called about at first. Once he turned his attention to the clogged pipe, he welcomed my and my sons assistance in clearing the blockage, which finally required him to climb up on the roof to run the pipe snake down the venting pipe to open up the pipe. By this time it was 11:00 at night, but he did not complain about the hour or the time it had taken to correct the problem. His demeanor was both personable and professional, even as he showed me things about our homes plumbing system that I should have already known but didnt. Based upon my experience, I would gladly recommend Roto-Rooter (and Mr. Cutshall in particular) to my friends and acquaintances for their plumbing needs.

Not only did I call them to replace my outside water line (huge job, very expensive) but they were on time, had great communication and if I didnt know they were there, I would have never known they were in the house. We had a water problem in our basement. I wasnt sure if it was the air-conditioner overflow drain being backed up or a leak in my water heater. Jeff came in promptly and within minutes had figure out that it was a drain issue. All he needed was my own plunger to clear out the drain! He also told me what to do in future and explained why this happens.

We were experiencing a backup in our downspout, and the guys arrived the morning I called from Charlotttesville. They found the blockage using their camera, dug the hole to visually locate area, and cleared the blockage. They were friendly, fast and effective! I realized they also perform work the same as a plumber would.

Was getting construction gravel at daylight end of downspout collection and needed to check out the extensive underground piping. Jeff was able to run his nifty scope through the system from multiple entry points. Good news was that no breech was observed and the conclusion was this was leftover debris from initial construction that was finally washing through with the recent deluges. Bad news was that we confirmed thin wall PVC was used and several distortions were visible. Jeff was a pleasure to work with, and even suggested scoping a short distance overflow area since the equipment was already here. Good thing too... we found a fairly severe buildup there!

Greg showed up on time, reviewed my problem and immediately went to work to repair my disposal. The job was done in no time and he left after having cleaned up the site. Four stars because it turned out that the plumber did not have the machine he needed and had to go to another job site to get it. This provider merges quality with exceptional service at a reasonable cost producing a totally satisfactory experience.We had a drain backup. One call was made and within the hour Robert, the assigned plumber/technician, was there diagnosing the concern. Once identified, a temporary solution was put in place to keep the household running until the proper parts could be obtained. Within 36 hours a permanent fix was in place and all was made right.Roto Rooter is commended for recently providing a valuable service to this home; and has done so three other times over the past ten years.

The staff in the office was very helpful with all the questions I had since I was a new homeowner. The price quoted was very affordable Zed, the Roto-Rooter employee was prompt, friendly, helpful and very professional. Our system was pumped and the ground nicely restored where Zed dug out the hole for the opening. We were VERY happy with the whole experience and will certainly call Roto-Rooter for any plumbing needs in the future!

We had an issue with our septic system. We didnt know who to call. So a friend of mine recommended Roto-Rooter. Said he needed a plumber and they were very good. So we called them. From the start, they were so helpful and understanding. They had someone out to our house the very next day. They were very professional and very respectful. He was courteous, professional, and took the time to educate me about the cause of my problem and solutions to prevent the problem from occurring in the future.
