A Trifecta : Prompt, Reliable, and Quality! We first started working with Omar to have a electrical service upgrade with a new panel and a circuit run to the kitchen. Exterior work from house to pole, interior work from panel to finish work on receptacles. The work was great and the level of professionalism was well above other licensed electricians I had received estimates from. Recently, a neighbors 80 ft tree came down during a storm, damaging, among other things, the service line and new conduit. This left the system dangerously vulnerable to rain. Omar had folks over the next day to do the repair and mentioned he also does tree removal. We asked him to do that as well, everything went smoothly and we are very happy with all the results. Im thrilled to know there is someone local to us ( less than a mile away) that provides such a range of skill with reliable results. Ive been involved in several renovations and seldom seen this level of thoroughness. We will be calling Omar again when we are ready to move on the bigger projects on the house. Highly Recommend !!!

Highly recommend Ohms Electrical! I had an emergency and they scheduled me the same day I called in and showed up within the hour of me calling. They fixed the problem with my outlets going dead; I tried wiring a switch and a live wire short circuited the switch. Really a pleasure to work with, everything was explained and a free estimate was given for what needed to be done. I’m happy to say I found my new go to electrician for whatever it is I might need.

I called to get a second opinion about a smell I was concerned was the result of an electrical problem. I talked to Omar on the phone and he listened and gave great advice. He also had someone come out at the end of their day to give a free assessment. Jay came and looked at the outlets I was concerned with, as well as the breaker box. He was incredibly nice, informative, and told me the assessment in a way I could understand. I chose Ohms to call because of the reviews, and they are well deserved! Thanks especially to Omar and Jay! Hopefully I dont need electrical work done in the near future, but if I do, I would certainly contact them.

I had a very positive experience with Omar and his team when we did major electrical work at our house in Pleasant Valley. After a storm took out our power in a difficult to access location, we decided to put our electrical wires underground. I checked everything with my cousin who is a master electrician to ensure the price was reasonable and I was being properly advised. Omar started the job immediately after we signed the contract and kept in touch with us constantly. His work easily passed the third party inspection and the only delays we experienced were due to the typical difficulties of working with Central Hudson (no surprises there). Omar was always very professional, patient and did the highest quality work. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Ohms Electrical is an amazing company. I am a musician with a recording studio and I was having some serious buzz problems in my audio. Omar came over to my house in the morning SEVERAL days in a row without charge to help me troubleshoot the issue. He spent a lot of time working on it with me and was very patient and diligent. He even invited me come to his house to test out my equipment on a separate circuit. When we decided on a plan of action he was ready to book the work for the next day. His crew is awesome, very friendly, professional and competent. After several attempts we finally found the solution to the noise and it is now gone. His rate is very reasonable. These guys were hands down the best group of contractors Ive worked with. Communication was fast and their work is impeccable. They wont be the cheapest contractor but their prices are extremely fair and very competitive. Bottom line -- you get what you pay for. There is no question who I will hire again when I need electrical work done.Update: I had to reach out to Ohms again 3 years after this work because the original electrical inspector dropped the ball and never sent report to the Town. If you are looking for fast, courteous, and reliable service from an experienced electrician then your call should be to Ohms electrical! Their price is reasonable and their customer service is excellent. Omar and his team came out and installed a new service line, new meter pan, and a new circuit breaker panel with all new breakers in one day. He coordinated the electrical inspection and ensured the appropriate paperwork was taken care of. On the day of the meter install, there was a small issue that was identified by Central Hudson. Omar was at my home within an hour after I called him. He corrected the issue immediately and contacted the Foreman at Central Hudson who were able to install the meter that same day. Like I said, excellent customer service and would highly recommend Ohms Electrical for your project!!!!!

These guys are fantastic. I called for them and they came within the hour. The foreman is very professional, thorough and courtesy. He noticed and immediately discussed things that needed correction. I had two fans installed in my great room and the price he gave me was extremely fair. He even changed my halogen bulbs from my high ceiling to LED. The explanation of each course of action was given in detail, and with enough comprehension for understanding. These gentlemen cleanup quickly. If you need to have electrical work done, Ohms electrical contractors are trustworthy electricians. I plan to used them for all of my electrical projects.

If youve ever had a bad experience with a contractor, this company will be a breath of fresh air. I needed to have the electrical system in my old house overhauled...completely. The estimate was the most competitive, and the job was done professionally. They came in with a plan and did the whole job in one day. All the guys were obviously experienced electricians, courteous, friendly, and cleaned up as they went. They treated me and my house with respect . The electrical inspector was impressed with their work. They have called me since the job was finished to make sure I was happy with the job and there were no problems. If you want the job done right, Ohms would be your best bet.

Omar saved the day when I ran into an issue with my electrical panel. My power got shut off and I was scrambling around trying to get an electrician to come as soon as possible. He came at 10am to take a look at what needed to be done and said he would be back at 2:30pm to do the repair! I was not expecting the repair to be done the same day but he understood the severity of the situation and rearranged his already busy schedule to fit time in for me as well. I had my power back on the same day and I know the job is done correctly. I am a first time home owner and Omar thoroughly explained everything to me and made this experience a lot more calming for me. He even swept the floor and tried to mop it! I will definitely be referring them to anyone looking for any electrical work and I will be calling again if I run into any issues down the road.

I contacted four electrical construction firms. Mr. Daley with Ohms Electrical Construction described what he would do, and answered all my questions.The job involved running a line from my circuit breakers through the far end of my garage, and then digging a 50-foot trench, bury the cable and install outlets suitable for a pool. In addition, he cemented a post for the outlets, and placed a nice vinyl covering over the post and capped it with a solar light. All work was done to code and to my satisfaction.I arranged for an independent inspection, as required for the permit, which passed with no problem. I am very satisfied with the work, and the price. Ohms Electrical Construction was the best price of four contractors, and he provided all certificates of insurance,Last September, I had not installed the pool filter and pump, so I arranged for Ohms Electrical to come back and ground the pool. No additional charge!

I called Omar for a major upgrade job for one of my apartment buildings. He came out for a free estimate and his price was beyond reasonable. He showed up with his crew early in the am and said the work would be completed by the end of the day. He is a man of his word. He and his crew stayed through the evening and late into the night to ensure the job was complete.The new breaker panels he installed look clean and tight. He even had to build a new wall in the basement to house all the panels.Omar even came out for an unrelated issue with a socket and gave me advice on how to resolve the issue for no charge.Call Omar for any of your electrical needs. He really is as good as all of his reviews claim him to be.

I’m so glad I found this wonderful company!!!! A tree knocked out all the electric wires at my Poughkeepsie property and I had to find someone to show up that evening and get to work quick ( it was a disaster, and central Hudson could care less about any wire on our property they leave them just laying there and only care about the side walk poles ) Very big job!! I searched on Google and after two companies refused to show up that late I called Ohms cause that was next on the Google search list. He was very quick to respond he came there that evening, extremely professional, went above and beyond to get our power back on. Very reasonable price! I highly-highly recommend this company for any of your electricity needs, especially if your stressed out and it’s an EMERGENCY don’t even bother wasting time trying to find anyone else! In response to my request to create a power backup solution for a house located in an area with frequent blackouts, Omar of Ohms Electrical Construction created a whole-house battery backup system.He assessed the general power consumption requirements and developed a custom solution, which included a battery bank and an inverter/charger. The inverter /charger is so versatile, it can receive inputs from the grid, solar or even a gas power generator. The system that he created was recently installed and it works perfectly. And because this type of battery backup system is leading edge, there isn’t anything out-of-the-box that can be acquired. In response, he used his carpentry skills to create a custom cabinet to house the battery bank and inverter. The inverter handles power outages automatically, so you wouldn’t even know that a power outage occurred.In summary, Omar is very customer focused, innovative, is an expert in his field and he is very easy to work with. He explains what he’s doing along the way without burying the customer in minutia. I’ll be enlisting him for any future electrical work that arises.

We recently lost electrical power to our well. The power ran underground which isn’t a problem for new construction. Unfortunately, the power cable runs under a slate patio, our gardens and a brand new driveway. The plumbers who diagnosed the problem said we would need to dig all of that up to run a trench for the new power line. We spoke with Omar of Ohms electric. He found a way to use an existing power pole to protect the patio and gardens. The best part was he has a novel and efficient way of tunneling under the driveway. He quickly restored power to the well with no damage to patio, gardens, or driveway. The work was very professionally done. We will use Ohms electric for all of our electrical work.

The office staff was extremely nice & friendly. She made sure I got a e mail of the estimate in writing prior to the job.After the job was done the electrion did a walk through explaining what was done.I had a additional dedicated line put in. I also asked to have a light looked at that kept going off. I thought it might be a electrical issue since it kept blinking.When they came, literally in 3 min it was fixed. ( He changed the light bulb). I say this because some other companies would have charged and inflated the cost. His honesty was refreshing. Yes I was embarrass, however I will be calling them for future projects.I just want to add I called other companies that wanted to charged just to come out for a estimate. Not this company. We are so lucky we found Omars business on Google . We wanted to install a generator. Omar came right away for an estimate and gave us different choices, then Lloyd the electrician came replaced our 1000 year old electric panel into a brand new one . He took his time did an awesome job . All the wires inside are clean not like before a whole mess. Installed an outlet for our generator now we can plug in our portable one. Charged reasonable price .... Very friendly people ...will keep on using this company for our future needs.

They were awesome and their prices were unbelievably reasonable ....I woke up at 5 45am with half my power not working, due to unfortunate circumstances with my landlord, he was unable to find an electrician , lol.....I ended up calling ohms because it was the first Poughkeepsie electrician that popped up and they were open till 6, well when my landlord finally called them it was after hours, they came to my house at 7 and were finished by 8. They diagnosed the issue with 5 minutes and the extra time was spent waiting on a part and for my landlord to agree for them to do the job. They were in and out. I would recommend going with ohms for any electrical needs :) thanks again ohms.
