He was exceptionally easy to communicate with and was very accommodating and flexible with scheduling.We needed to add a switch and wiring for a new pendant light over the dining room table. Justin and Dom did very meticulous and clean work in a timely fashion. They were considerate while in our home and cleaned up after themselves. The fixture looks stunning just as we imagined.They even came back to install smart dimmers I purchased free of charge.Justin takes pride in his work and also in offering very fair and reasonable pricing. I wanted to install a smart switch to control some low-voltage lighting. It turned out the surrounding switches and outlets made the installation far too complicated for me. I called Justin on a Friday and he was able to come the following Monday. He did a great job — he figured out how to make the switch work properly while retaining the functions of the surrounding switches and outlets. He trimmed screws to protect my tile backsplash and made sure to clean up meticulously when he was done. He explained everything clearly to me along the way. He’s a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call Tavella Electric again when I need electrical work.

I will continue to use Justin as my electrician and would highly recommend his services.2022 - I called Justin with a semi emergency as my home is being rented by tenants. The dryer was not working and needed a new power chord along with a new outlet receptacle installed. Justin fit me into his schedule seamlessly on the same day, for a fair price. My experience with Tavella Electric actually restored my faith that there are honest, reliable contractors who will stick to their word-- AND provide great craftmanship. I needed outdoor fixtures replaced but my work schedule did not allow me to be home to schedule repair. I spoke with Justin on the phone and he told me if I left lights outside, he would come by my house and install them. I know sounds crazy, but I did leave them outside and he did come and install them!!! And cleaned up.They look and work great I cannot say enough good things. Beyond 5 star service.

I had an electrical fault occur and I called 3 places. 2 were told to make an appointment (which I did) and a missed call from Justin. But he called back after a couple of hours and asked if I could send him photos. After seeing the photos of the glowing orange he called me back immediately saying he and his staff are coming to look at it. Because he cant go to bed without checking it out. He ran a new wire to temporarily fix the fault and also educated me and recommended what my next steps should be.My family is grateful for what Justin & his staff did. Its more than a service but a wholesome human being. I would hire them in a heartbeat if its within their capacity.

We had a house inspection before the sale that pointed out some corrections needed. We have some loose plans to upgrade electrical outlets, add exterior lights, add a vestibule light, etc. I reached out to Justin by phone, and left a VM describing our needs. He got back to me the same day, and we arranged for him to walk through the house. I also sent him our inspectors report.He arrived and was so amiable and friendly, it was like we were being welcomed by the Mayor to South Philadelphia. :) He patiently walked with us as we told him what we needed, he offered options, and we discussed what we wanted. We also had a great conversation with him about South Philly living, and South Philly history! He gave us a proposal within a day - even though he has a busy schedule. His proposal was straightforward, and easy to read.We decided we needed to break up the work over several months, and prioritize some over others. He didnt bat an eye. He came by to do the work needed, and walked me through every step. He also took the time to introduce me to the existing electrical wiring, some of which dated back to the 1960s. He *really* knows what he is doing, and he does it by the book. He reduced the charge from the estimate to match the time he spent working! He was super conscious of doing tidy work, and following good safety practices.I would highly recommend Justin Tavella for all your electrical needs! :)

I contacted Tavella Electric when I was experiencing a power outage during a severe cold spell. As I explained the situation and what I was experiencing to Justin, he identified something and asked me to send him photos of the main connection to the house from the outside lines. From this he was able to correctly ascertain that the issue was with PECO. Rather than take easy money and come out to my house, he suggested that if I called PECO, they would be able to fix the issue for free. He was correct, and saved me (and cost himself) probably hundreds of dollars.Honesty and integrity like this are rare, and are worth supporting.

We were having an issue with our wiring that was pretty complex, rooms were loosing power but the breaker wasnt being triggered. I called Justin and he was on site the very next day. He was not only familiar with the layout of our house he actually knew how the original wiring was done in the 1960’s. Within 30 minutes he pinpointed possible areas that needed to be looked at and fixed the issue. I hands down recommend Justin for all your electrical needs…you’d be in good hands!

My kitchen circuit breaker kept tripping and all of my appliances were off for hours, including the fridge. Justin took my call, and despite having a full schedule of appointments, he squeezed me into his schedule that day and solved the issue given the inconvenience I was facing. He explained the costs upfront and also discussed the issues as he saw them onsite, showing me the exact blown outlet box that caused the issue. He was quick and thorough, and just about as pleasant of a serviceperson as you could ask for. Will definitely use again and recommend to others. Excellent experience.
