I spoke to a few companies that mentioned hardwood floor repair and refinishing. EG sent his floor guy over, measured and gave me a fair price. Didnt try and upsell, didnt deviate from the estimate. 2 guys came and knocked out the job in a day. They carted the machines up 3 flights of stairs w/o an issue. What I sincerely appreciated was the constant contact and updating. Its a very well run business. The first photo is obviously the before pic. The floor makes the room look completely different.

Gerson and Eli came to see my job very quickly, answered all of my questions, and did the work we agreed on exactly when they said they would. In less than a week, they stripped a lot of paint off a lot of woodwork. I recommend them and would hire them again any day!

I wanted to refinish my metal doors and frames. EG Painting quickly and thoroughly stripped 90 years worth of old paint. Then they cleaned the metal, painted, and clear-coated it. I think my doors look great now!They have insurance and lead-paint training so my co-op had no problem with them.

Gerson and his team are true professionals. I had spoken with Gerson to go over the job I needed which was to strip layers among layers of paint off my metal pre-war apartment door as part of a broader apartment renovation. I received Gerson’s quote hours after speaking to him and all the communication with regards to scheduling was a breeze. Having been through months of a renovation already, working with Gerson was amazing! Could not recommend them enough!

I hired Gerson to strip paint from mouldings, doors and baseboard in my brownstone. The wood had multiple layers of paint from 60+ years to the point you could not see any detail in the trim work. Gerson was able to completely remove it getting down to bare wood without a trace of paint left including all the paint in the intricate details, grooves and crannies. Wood was left ready to stain and poly.Hard working, reliable and honest. Would definitely hire again.

My wife and I worked with Eli and Gerson to strip paint from ten doors in our apartment and re-plaster walls from electrical work. We were thrilled with the outcome and look forward to the next opportunity to work with these guys again. I dont often take the time to write reviews, but am happy to do so for this business. I hired EG Painting to strip 90 years of paint off 15 door frames. After having done 5 myself using products like PeelAway and SmartStrip, I could well appreciate the difficulty of the task, which is painstaking, messy, and - in the wrong hands - downright toxic. I called several companies: one never returned my call, another came up with an astronomical figure. I was about to give up when I came across EG Painting. Eli Ramos de Soto came over right away to assess the volume of work. He quoted me a fair price for the job and remained readily accessible throughout the process. Adolfo, a consummate professional with 20+ years of experience did the job efficiently and cleanly. He even took the time to address the spots I had missed on my attempts. In NYC finding experts to help with renovations/repairs can feel overwhelming and its hard to know who will deliver quality and value. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found this gem! I couldnt be more pleased with the results!

It was a great experience having these guys handle my painting and flooring needs. They were quick, professional, and very responsive to all communications.
