We couldn’t be more pleased with our new space! Home renovation projects are often notorious for exceeding budgets, construction delays, and dwindling communication once the project commences. However, FBC’s methodology and approach throughout the design and build phase exceeded our expectations, thanks to our incredibly talented and thoughtful designer, Brittany, and our knowledgeable, resourceful, and persevering project manager, Dominic.Their professionalism, industry expertise, and responsiveness, paired with an unwavering commitment to frequent and transparent communication, truly set them apart from others in this field. The custom design and meticulous craftsmanship of our reimagined space—featuring a new basement powder room, 500-bottle wine cellar, gaming area, man cave, wet bar, study, as well as ample dedicated storage, mechanical, and utility spaces — are a testament to their design creativity and hard work.We are beyond thrilled with the results and cannot thank Brittany, Dominic, and the entire FBC team enough!

We had our basement finished by FBC in 2021 and our kitchen/main floor in 2023. I cannot recommend them enough! They were true industry professionals working on our renovation projects. I really enjoyed working with the designers and their suggestions on space and design elements. Our projects have exceeded our expectations and have so many unique high-quality features. Our projects were finished on time and within budget except if I made changes :P). We liked them so much that we plan to use them again in future renovations of our home.

My experience with FBC Remodel is mostly great! There are pros and cons to any construction/remodel job I would think. So, pros: FBC was very professional and did the job that was contracted for. I asked for a 6 week timeline to remodel my shower and they finished in 5. The designer I worked with was very good, and working together, the shower tile choices and design matched very well with the existing tile and cabinetry. My carpets and furniture in the Master were protected, workmen were polite and respectful, the cleaning crew did a good job afterward. I love my new shower! Cons: The cost of the shower remodel was over $30,000. My shower is not excessively large or fancy, pretty basic. There were several boxes of tile left over. I was told by the designer that any overage would be returned to Tile Shoppe and I would be reimbursed. The tile was picked up by FBC, but I was then told that I would not be getting the refund. Hummm.So, on the whole, a good experience. I believe the cost of remodeling my shower was more expensive than it should have been.

We reviewed three companies and still went with FBC to complete our basement project in Wheaton IL. Despite being a bit premium priced from their peers and a bit out of our budget, we still chose FBC due to a few reasons:- The initial designers we met weren’t pushing for a sale- A few design suggestions they came up with were more unique than the others and they showed genuine interest in understanding our needs- The documentation produced and overall communication about the project process was thoughtful, clear and felt very reliable & professional.We are very delighted to report that FBC lived up to all our expectations. Project was started and finished on time with absolutely no hassle. The team not only delivered to scope but accommodated all our change requests that arose while the project was on-going. The overall quality of the work completed and the way the project was managed was world class.A special shout out to the FBC Naperville team. Matt and Rachel were the first to entice us to start with the partnership and came up with the initial design options. Dominic our project manager was on top of all things, regularly visited the site and constantly communicated. One thing we really appreciated in Dominic is that, whenever he visited the site and noticed something that needs to be addressed or could be done differently, he proactively gave us advice which were prudent and we followed it on almost all occasions. All trade partners they worked with, were warm and friendly but we want make a special mention of Omar and team who did the drywall and paint work. They were extremely friendly, responsive to our needs and did a fabulous finish. They always demonstrated a can-do attitude and what’s more leveraged unused materials creatively to our benefit.One thing we do want to mention is that FBC was transparent on cost throughout the project. Although we signed up for a premium service, they were fair about material costs on any changes and we could work with them to find options that fit within our budget.Overall, we are very delighted about the end product.

We moved forward with FBC after meeting with 3 basement remodeling companies. Our choice was due to the meticulous planning they provided off the bat. The whole team was a pleasure to work with every step of the way. Throughout the process Dominic was very thorough, he made sure we were comfortable and understood everything. The subcontractors were also very professional. We would and have recommended FBC for any remodeling project! We absolutely love our basement!

They provided a high quality experience from the first design meeting with Matt and Rachel through to the final touches on the space. We choose FBC after meeting with our designer McKinley. She took the time to understand our family and what we were looking for in a basement remodel. Our second mtg. she had a layout of our basement along with a 3D rendering so we could envision what our space could look like. The contractors were all very professional. Our project manager Dominic was very responsive and thorough and made sure we understood everything that was going on and kept up with a daily log on buildertrend.com. We love the way it turned out. We would recommend FBC for any remodel for your house.

FBC did a fantastic job with our basement, we are very happy with how everything turned out! We interviewed 3 different companies, FBC was the perfect mix of quality and design at a fair price. Rachael and McKinley did a great job of helping us design a space to fit exactly what we needed, incorporating a style that fits with the rest of our home. Dominic, our Project Manger, has been very responsive and easy to work with. We could not have asked for a better experience completing our basement project with FBC! They were professional from our very first contact with them until our very last. All of the staff were very accommodating and worked around our schedule to make our initial meetings and choices appointments work for us. The 3-D showing of the basement plans was extremely helpful and they were willing to make changes here and there to get us exactly where we wanted to be. We had a couple different requests (one was a hockey shooting room) for the team to figure out and they all worked together and got it done. All of the trades people were very respectful and kept the job site as clean as possible. Our project manager, Maryanne, was fantastic! She kept us informed throughout the entire process and made sure all the trades were lined up to come in when they needed to and we’re getting things done in a timely manner. We love the look and quality of work in our new basement! Thank you FBC!

FBC transformed our dingy hundred year old basement into a tranquil oasis of relaxation complete with an entertainment center, dedicated laundry and utility rooms. The initial plan was devised by their architect, project manager and ourselves. The project worked out to be both functional and beautiful. Great care was taken to blend our new basement with the existing architecture of our old home. Project Manager Dominic was both an excellent communicator and listener throughout the effort. The project subcontractors were superb at their trades and always kept the work area clean. I would recommend FBC to anyone who has remodeling needs and wants quality work done with enthusiasm.

FBC did an excellent job in remodeling our finished basement.We recently bought a new house and the basement was already finished but needed some remodeling. We had contacted FBC to see what they can do and they came up with an impressive design on what our space could look like. After careful decision, we decided to go with FBC and we have been very happy with our choice. FBC handled all aspect of the project, all trade vendors were scheduled, on-time and the work done by everyone was beautiful. We did have a slight delay with our cabinets but due to high demand and around thanksgiving, this was expected. Even with the delay, the project completed on-time. Everyone that worked on the project were very professional, Dominic (PM) was on top of everything and provided timely updates. In the end, we love our new space and we would definitely have FBC do other project in our home. THANK YOU FBC!!

We are very pleased with the design-build process with FBC. During the design process, our designer, Rachael, created two 3D interactive models for us to consider, and even better, we were able to make real time changes to the design so that we could see exactly how it would look. FBC suggested several additional design features (i.e. detailed ceilings, columns), and we are glad we incorporated them into our design. It separates a standard basement from one that is truly exceptional and noteworthy to your friends. Concurrent with our basement finishing, FBC also remodeled our laundry/mud room, making it a much more functional space.Our project was completed on time and on budget. The FBC team spent several hours before construction to measure and investigate potential issues prior to starting construction. Our construction project manager, Dominic, was extremely detailed during the layout and discussed with us the few construction issues we did encounter. We really cannot say enough about their foresight, the construction strength of FBC’s team, and the management of their subcontractors.All of FBC’s subs were exceptionally friendly, hardworking, and went the extra mile to make sure that we were satisfied with their work. In addition to the quality of the work, each trade would clean at the end of the day.FBC did a fantastic job in the design and construction of our basement, and we would recommend them.

We had our basement refinished by Finished Basement Company. It was a very organized and easy process. From the initial concept design to picking out the flooring, cabinets, granite, carpet etc. The design team did a great job. It was then turned over to the project manager Dominic and his team did a fabulous job of finishing everything on time. They were professional, everything was cleaned up every day at the end of the work day. We now have a functional and fun basement to spend lots of time in!!

Finished basement company did a great job from start to finish. They took a very plain space in our basement and made it the perfect wine room/sitting area. The whole process was will organized and executed perfectly. Matt and his design team did a great job creating the design and creating visuals for us to see. Their advice in material selection was very helpful. The onsite project manager, Dominick, did a great job communicating throughout the construction period. He was quick to resolve any issues or address changes. I would highly recommend Finished Basement Company for anyone looking to finish their basement.

This past Fall, we completed a kitchen/bathroom/family room/utility room/foyer remodel with Finished Basement Company (FBC). It was our second project with FBC. In 2016, we completed a basement build-out with FBC. We used FBC for the recent remodel based on our extremely positive experience with the basement build-out, including the following points:1. Fair price that made us feel we received good value for our money.2. An excellent finished product--quality workmanship that really increased the functionality and appearance of the remodeled rooms.3. Excellent responsiveness and communication of the project managers.4. An obsession with scheduling and meeting deadlines--FBC completed one project on time and other one ahead of schedule.5. Timely addressing problems. There will always be unexpected problems in any construction project. What matters is how the contractor deals with those unexpected problems. FBC excels in this area.6. Effective cooperation with municipal authorities on permitting and inspections.7. Excellent trade partners.We are very satisfied and we highly recommend FBC for basement and upstairs remodeling projects.

FBC did an outstanding job on a full basement remodel for our 88-year-old brick bungalow. Their people and their design-plan-build process have our highest possible recommendation.We bought the place knowing we would need to have work done—the basement had been through multiple DIY partial upgrades, the plumbing, HVAC & electrical all needed updating, and nothing was integrated. FBC’s website impressed us with clear explanations, photographs, and forthright cost information while we were in the research and collecting quotes phase.We could’ve done yet another partial upgrade here and update there, but instead we chose FBC and never looked back.The schedule was laid out with a clear timeline, and the design process was a real and enjoyable collaboration. Matt and the rest of the FBC team took our initial vague ideas and turned them into a variety of plans for us to discuss and choose from. More discussion fine-tuned our choices so we could be confident the final plan would include exactly what we wanted within our budget.Communication was excellent every step of the way. We had a dedicated production manager who took great care of us. Dominic made sure we met all the various trade contractors who would be working on our site, and once construction began, he kept us fully informed about daily progress and upcoming plans. He was also tremendously helpful with questions and requests for changes and additions. All the contractors were fantastic too. Every one of them managed to keep mess and disruption to a minimum while performing all-around exceptional work.And the results? Absolutely fantastic. Better than we ever dreamed it could be, and we had some big dreams. The space went from “game room surrounded by dirty, dark spaces full of old mechanical stuff, pipes & wiring” to three fresh, brightly-lit, multi-purpose rooms & a clean, airy, laundry/storage area. We are thrilled to pieces.

We are repeat customers of FBC based on the fact they did a complete Basement Remodel managed by Matt Hennebry who is now the Division President of the Chicago operation. Our basement project was submitted by them and was awarded the Gold Key Award for the Chicagoland Builders Association which we are very proud of.We had them come in to give us a proposal for a complete Master Bath Remodel. Dominic was the project manager and i cannot say enough good things about him. His follow up and follow through is outstanding. He introduced a new program called Building Trend which is an application we downloaded that kept track of every aspect of the project and trades who would be working each day including photos of each stage as the project progressed.Patrick Condon the Founder of FBC came out for our basement project and our Master Bathroom Remodel and showed a very genuine interest in our project asking us if we were happy with how are project was coming along. They want everyone they deal with to have a pleasant experience and strive to exceed your expectations.We are extremely happy with our new bathroom which I am sure we will enjoy for years to come. Highly recommended.

We used FBC for a remodel in our basement to add a bedroom and bathroom.They are a first class outfit, understanding of our needs and very open and honest about the process.From the beginning to the end of the project they were professional and on schedule. This despite the fact that some of the work was impacted by the COVID 19 outbreak.The quality of work is great and we are extremely pleased with the end result.

After several several designs and quotes we decided to go with FBC Remodel. Not only was the design the best it was a very fair price as well. We had a big basement remodel, where we needed to open up half of it and finish the other half in full. Matt the sales rep at the time lead us through the selections and options with ease. The nice part about this was in many remodels you get a price then get to selections and the price continues to go up. That was not the case here, and we love everything. We had now added a official billards and TV area. Another room with a poker area, a full bar and a wine cellar, that walks down to a media room. It turned out amazing, couldn’t of looked better. Dominic the PM was communicated excellent, while going above and beyond several times. He had a couple of weeks off due to the holidays but chose to come in and make sure the project was done for New Years. The good times, and value that will be added to our home make us greatfull that we choose FBC.

Love, love, love my basement. Loved it so much I had them come back and do my kitchen - which I love. Remodeling isnt easy, it isnt pretty, but I had an awesome PM who listened to MY needs during the construction and made me happy. Ive had a couple of small warranty items - they have corrected those without hassling me about what did YOU do to it.

We just finished our basement with FBC and it looks incredible. A really cool space. What I liked about the company is they have an on-line calendar, so you know what and who to expect. They stick to schedule. I also loved that they truly work with you - I incorporated some old stuff, which is never easy to work with, and they did it enthusiastically. Also no issue if you want to buy stuff yourself and maybe save some money. Our project manager was Dominic and he responded very quickly to any text. Communicated really well and was super organized and a really nice guy to work with.

They have a great process that includes providing you with a complete computer generated design concept that you can see before you begin and work with you throughout the entire process from materials selections to closeout. Matt and his team (Rachel, MaryAnn, Dominick) were great to work with and were low pressure, very customer oriented and made sure we loved our finished project. The work schedule was fast and on-time and they handled changes without any hassles. We have nothing but positive things to say about our newly “finished basement”. From the initial consult to the final inspections, the FBC team listened to what we wanted for our basement and it turned out beautifully.We had our basement completely gutted, added a half bath, a bar area, tv area & storage. Took about 11 weeks. Matt, Dominic & Stephanie were all very professional & responsive.
